The shade growled, taking the time that the Captain was down to get close enough to physically engage its target. It seemed no more than annoyed, so far, by the whip strike, reaching out to grab at it and tug experimentally.

This wasn't good. They were being pelted with attacks left and right. Various magics were racing around. Metis knew her Captain was out there, fighting in Princess state. How many other Asteroids were there? One hand pressed to ********* back, she was two seconds away from just tucking the cat against her chest and trying to shield her that way. But then there was Oberon in front of her, trying to fight his own Shade. Getting hurt. He was a kid.

The creature attacking him was not.

Rising to her feet shakily, Metis barely paused to make sure ********* was safe on her shoulder still before raising her hand to her tiara. One very easy way to give them a slight edge here. Stick the Shades with some of their own tricks. "Mind's Eye Vision!" Energy collected in her palm, and she forced herself to walk steady as she could. Not very easy. Not remotely. Once she got close enough, she let the energy orb fly, sending it directly at Oberon's Shade. Or least she prayed it went directly at it.

----------------------------

It vaguely occurred to him he'd never used his magic in a real fight. Not... like this. Not outside making energy draining easier, more of a game. This was... entirely different from what he usually did. But this chick was down for the ******** count. Gritting his teeth, he let the instinctive words come. "Betrayal of the Family..." Orange energy began to glow around his gloved hands, and with a small sound of disgust--really, what was he doing?--he flicked the energy towards the senshi's (Varuna's) Shade. "Get your a** away from her, and chick, get the <********> off the ground."

Loke's voice wasn't kind. It was snarling, it was pissy, and his stumbling wasn't helping his mood or his case. He had zero concept how his magic would affect this thing. Would it listen? Would it just go through it? Hell if he knew. But hell he had to apparently try. If the magic didn't work, his fists sure as hell could do the trick.

[ Betrayal of the Family: The single target is compelled by Loke's magic to harm one of their allies rather than a member of the opposing side. The compulsion lasts for five seconds. It is the target's will that determines the success of Loke's magic, repeated exposures does not weaken the compulsion's effect on them. ]

The Shade was feeling the blonde's interference, no doubt on that. A touch of pain skimmed the Page's ego, but she shooed it away. Any help was good help, and so long as the Shades all went down, not much else mattered. Besides... still her fight, mainly. She glanced briefly at the slowing senshi, gritting her teeth. Yep. End this, and then make sure Ganymede and Valhalla were alright. Sounded like the best course of action for her book.

"Seriously go on, I'll be there in a minute!" So used to putting fake cheer into her voice, it came naturally to Themiscyra now as she flicked a grin towards Ganymede before shooting towards her clone. The grayed knight snarled, and as she threw her body towards Themiscyra to try and tackle her again, the original woman evaded just enough to help her Shade fall to the ground. And then slam her fist with all her might into the back of the Shade's skull. Somewhere, a part of her must have realized she was actually trying to kill a human looking creature. Yet it didn't register in the slightest as she kept trying to hit the Shade's head with every bit of strength she could.

Persephone was not expecting the sudden reversal of her movements. She tried to grab a rock to hurl at the Queen, but instead ended up fumbling and throwing it backwards, into a shade behind her. And then the arrow struck, and she went down onto her knees with a soft whimper of horror.

Sailor Persephone HP: 24

Tantalus was beginning to think he was very very lucky, because he was desperately staggering around and he hadn't killed himself somehow. So when he, in his failing, punched a shade, he was mostly glad he hadn't hit himself or Damocles. "Help," he requested, even as he tripped and fell, ending up on his back - though at least the arrow whizzed by him.

Sailor Tantalus HP: 14

After a few horrible stumble steps, Natron simply stopped moving altogether. He stood stock still, glancing over to his side and simply watching and waiting for a clone to get in range, at which point he slapped out at it, which worked well enough. "Des, you alright?" He'd decided to ignore the man's nickname for him.

And then the arrow hit, and exploded, and he went down on one knee.

Captain Natron HP: 18

Amytis stumbled on her first step after the gyrocompass took effect, flailing desperately and smacking around behind her, practically tripping over a shade. Somehow she managed to navigate her way over to two other Dark Mirrors, a blond and a brunette. "Hi there," she said, plopping down on the ground.

Penthesilea was having a surprisingly easy time getting through this, neither the gyrocompass nor the arrows touched her, the arrows merely rustling her hair as she backhanded a shade out of her way in her quest to reach Fisternis.

"I'm trying." The blonde pointed out as he lost control of which way was which. "********, this is getting old." He yelped when an arrow hit him, tearing up some skin. Fishing around he found another rock, why was it always rocks, and threw it at the queen.

Damocles HP: 23

"The answer is no Grace. No I am not." He huffed, as he was still trying to recover from the monochrome hit. "Oh god damn it." In his inability to function Desmond ended up tripping. "Is this normal for you? God your job mus- Son of a b***h!" The violet haired boy his as an arrow slammed into his shoulder. "Apparently I am not allowed to have this shoulder." He growled, trying his best to ignore the pain. It stung like hell but Des managed to pull it out and slam the arrow head into a shade's arm. ...He was aiming for the throat. Oops

Serpentine: 46/50 (-4 from Snow Slip)

The tug on his weapon was more than a mere annoyance - it was a down right thorn in his side that brought a scowl to Serpentine's handsome face. The magic the creature used was bad enough... now it sought to take his one advantage away? No. That was unacceptable. He yanked back for a tug of war... until he remembered that even if he could not teleport himself again, he could do so with the whip.

So, he released all tension on the weapon and hoped to send the Shade down to the ground where it could otherwise be available for striking.

The shade was, perhaps fortunately for Serpentine, not particularly smart. It yanked just as hard back on the whip, which meant it went down hard with a loud, angry noise of frustration when the Captain released it. It flailed, a clumsy attempt to get up off the ground.

Both hands rose as they formed a 'gun' shape and the tip/muzzle was blown onto as he whispered his attack. "Chaldene whisp lure." And blue light was blown off and toward the queen. it might not do damage to her but it could perhaps distract her enough to help others attack her. He knew it wasn't much but it was all he had in the way of magic, and so it would have to do.

This was starting to get exhausting -- the attacks, the blows, even the dodging, leaving Al-Janah tired, while it seemed that the Queen succumbed to its effects -- well. Not at all.

He managed to dodge the gyroscope, so there was that, at least. As people swayed on their feet around him, Al-Janah, at least, stayed stable on his feet.

Stable enough to get hit by a rain of fire arrows.

Those tossed him back, gasping from the pressure of it, a bit dazed, losing track of exactly where Leto was as he did.

He'd wanted to get in close to her, this time, to hurt her in some way -- but for just a moment, he was stuck on his back, gasping for breath. When he stood, it was too late to get close. She was farther still than she'd been, and instead he turned his attack on a nearby shade. Tried to catch sight of Leto.

It was alright. The bird was resetting around the queen anyway. This time, if she moved, it would not only rake her but attempt to take her to the ground.

((Yep! Please note that this bird attacks twice! hope that's okay. It knocks people to the ground usually, but it's your discretion if it works on the queen, naturally!))
