"Rene!" Pan snapped at him "Get me a needle and some black thread! Anything! Hurry!" he shouted, pulling a surgical mask over his face. He walked next to Carpo and placed a hand on his shoulder. "We won't lose him, I promise.." he stated with a new look of determination in his eyes. Seeing the bullet wound, Pan grimaced at the fact the bullet was probably deep in there. And not knowing what damages if may have made, only made the situation more dire.

Kravos returned with some of the required tools Pan asked for, the sterilized forceps and surgical tweezers, but in the panic, Kravos couldn't find a scalpel, so he sterilized a regular serrated kitchen knife. Frustrated at the finding, but with little time to spare, Pan didn't really have time to argue. "Carpo, if you can get me some disinfectant too please... " He asked after Carpo returned with the blood packets. Alpha groaned and gritted his teeth as a sudden shock of pain shot through his body as Kravos and three other men held Alpha's limbs down. Once Pan started to cut, Alpha tensed up and screamed in agony! Carefully, Pan started to cute the incision with the knife and dig deeper into Alpha's flesh in order to get the bullet out.

Pan was sweating small droplets but was never any wavering or shakiness of his hands. Pan was confident in knowing just what he was doing. But the real problem was going to be if Pan could actually get the bullet out... after all, Pan had never done this type of surgery before. He's done others such as kidney, brain and heart transplants, but he's never been face with the ordeal of removing a bullet. But his mentor, whom of which was a bit of rebellious old man, taught Pan everything he knows and how he should practice. Instead of treating patients like numbered emptied vessels containing a problem, he taught him to treat them like human beings, Or like scared animals or children searching for comfort and care in the form of kind approaches. But the hospitals at home practiced the other method of serving patients, so it was rare to see Pan so passionate.

Alpha's relentless screaming didn't really help the situation either. Pan saw Rene become distraught at the sight of his friend screaming. When suddenly, after about ten MORE minutes of relentless screaming, Pan managed to find the bullet after digging with the knife! Holding the spot there, he grabbed the forceps and glanced at Rene and Alpha. " Rene, it's okay! I've got the bullet. But what I need you to do is hold his hand. He's gonna squeeze it, because this next part is going to hurt... " he instructed. Alpha took a tight hold of Rene's hands before the chef could probably realize just what was probably about to happen. Pan focused and continued, glancing at the men to hold Alpha down. Putting the forceps in place, Alpha would squeeze tightly on Rene's hand and scream louder, screaming curses and profanities at the pain. Pan didn't falter and remained focused on removing the lead bullet in Alpha.


After about a good two hours, Alpha was resting comfortably in his towel-covered bed. Surely both Rene and Carpo were by his side, awaiting for their injured friend to awaken. Alpha just passed out when they put in the last stitch. He was trying so hard to stay conscious through out it all that when the threat was over, he was exhausted. Pan placed the bullet in a small dish. When Alpha was to woke up, Pan supposed that the lot of them were going to question how he ended up shot. Pan was back to his normal, quieter self as he finished cleaning the bloody instruments and his hands. When the lot of them were in Alpha's room, Pan suddenly just, couldn't find the courage to wait with them. So instead, now in the late night, he returned quietly back to Carpo's room to try to finish reading the odd book. But the second he touched that bed, Pan was already yawning. He started reading the book sleepily, only to discover the book was series of short "Scary" stories. Unable to finish it, after the bloody events that took place tonight, and along with that book, Pan worried he was going to have nightmares tonight.

When Kravos came inside to Carpo's room, Pan was trying desperately to get some sleep but why he heard the door open, he jumped out of the bed, and ran in to the closet only to see that it was Kravos carrying Carpo. Feeling more than embarrassed, he smiled and told Kravos goodnight when he gently placed the tired red head in bed. When Kravos left, Pan couldn't help but stay awake and gently brush his pale fingers against his cheek. Giving in to an unstoppable urge, Pan found himself smiling and leaning in to softy kiss Carpo's head and then getting up to rest and go to sleep in the chair after he tucked the other man in. I love you, Carpo... I love you. he thought and finally admitted to himself. Yes, coming to terms about his feelings and just staying by the man's side was enough... And it made Pan feel happy and loved in return. Another new experience for Pan. Now Pan was sitting on the chair unable to sleep, now due to his fear of nightmares.


In the middle of the night, Alpha's eyes just barely cracked open. Slowly and tiredly glancing about the room, he found Rene sitting there. Squeezing his hand tightly, Alpha wanted nothing more than to hold someone.. Anyone... He didn't want to talk. In barely audible hearing, Alpha whispered something into his ears, hoping the request to stay would be approved.

When Carpo stormed out of the door, Pan couldn't help but be woken up. He watched Carpo dash out of the room, no doubt to Alpha's room. Pan wanted to go with Carpo to check on Alpha. " C-Carpo! W-wait!" Pan cried. But it was too late, he was practically down the hallway now. Sighing sadly, Pan couldn't help but feel disheartened. Something about this just made Pan feel even more alien and alone than before. Pained in his chest, hes shook his head and forced the the negative thoughts out of his mind to the best of his ability and got up to slowly follow Carpo to Alpha's room.


When Carpo got to the room, Alpha's space was immediately bombarded with Carpo's freckled face. Wincing a bit as he tried to move, but desisted when the small wound gave him a sharp. "Heh.... Yeah...thanks to you-" he was finishing until a certain white haired doctor walked in to Alpha's room.

Alpha listened to Carpo as he watched Pan slowly enter the room. Sighing, he leaned back and groaned quietly, squeezing the French man's hand a bit. " I wasn't shot..." He added. Pan's eyes widened as his thoughts ran to the next conclusion, despite evidence against a possible suicide attempt. Thoughts like these made Pan want to leave, so that this sort of thing wouldn't happen again. But then, Alpha began to clarify. "And I didn't shoot myself either. I may adore Carpo, but I'm not going to kill myself over him... It was an accident ...ngh.." Alpha sat up in pain. " it was accident ..... Dropped the gun on the floor and I didn't know that it was loaded... " he stated. With this new story, Alpha then turned to Rene and smiled, "if you didn't find me that quickly, I may not be talking right now... And you too..Pan" he glanced at the young doctor, who couldn't help but smile a bit. "... Thank you... I owe the lot of you my gratitude .. " he said quietly.

Pan's cheeks turned light pink when Alpha thanked them. He could see the other men's excitement and relief to know that Alpha was alright. But no matter how much Pan tried ignore their and join them, he couldn't help but feel jealous. Just a little. But then he'd looked out to see Carpo's smile.. Well... if he's happy then I'm satisfied... It's not my job to seek praise.. I'm just a doctor... I only want to make Carpo happy.. he thought to himself. Alpha was about to move and get out of bed, but stood before him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "You should still rest... you can't move around so drastically for at least a few days..." Pan stated.

Alpha was about to snap back, but remembered that this man just saved his life. From his guesses as of late, Carpo was probably in love with this man. Sitting back down and resting his head, he sighed. "Alright... Pan... to the man that saved my life... thank you... I am in your debt.." Alpha stated. Pan looked flustered and shook his head, saying things, like.. no or 'I'm just the doctor' .

After that, Alpha would nod and rest, waiting for Rene to return with whatever dessert he was intending to make. Pan, on the other hand, raised his eyebrows in a bit of a surprise. His own room? Carpo led him to the room with a 15 on it and they stepped inside. It didn't seem very livable at the moment, but from the look of things, it seemed like they were going to work hard to clean it out in order for Pan to sleep there. But deep down, Pan felt like he was losing Carpo even more so now that he'd be away from him even more. But then again, It was probably stifling for Carpo to share his room with another man... so Pan could understand and see the benefits for both of them. Pretty soon the two of them would take some supplies out and move furniture in there to make it more suitable.

But Pan was a man and he'd have to grow up from these sad separation anxieties. Maybe Pan was over reacting.. Maybe he wasn't actually going to get his own room at all. Besides, this didn't actually seem like a bedroom. And after that book he attempted to read last night, would make being alone at night terrifying.. it kind of made Pan giggled.

"Heh... so I finished that book last night.. kind of.." Pan said shakily. "Turns out.. it was a bunch of short scary stories.." Pan felt a bit pathetic for worrying and being afraid of something that doesn't exist.... but it was still so scary.
