Quinn! Quinn was good, and Shiloh was glad to see the other Hunter, both because it meant he was alive and safe, and because Quinn wasn’t currently puckering his lips at him.
Then Mimsy was talking, and she wasn’t making up with Robert, she was making things worse. Then Robert one-upped her in the art of making things worse, whisking Shiloh off of the box like he was nothing, holding him like a shield to keep Quinn, and all potential Quinn kisses, at bay. Shiloh squirmed, but Robert was a giant, a very strong giant.
Shiloh’s expression was one of defeat when he looked up at Quinn, and he smiled wryly as he hung from Robert’s grasp.
“Hi Quinn,” he said as cheerfully as he could manage, considering the circumstance, and gave him a little wave.
Oh well, so long as he didn’t actually have to fulfill his duty as kiss shield, everything might be okay. He had had quite enough of slobbering mouths for one day.

"Play nice," Mimsy mumbled, distracted, squinting at one of the runes. "No fighting, present Insanity-creature company excluded." Did this one even correlate with anything? Her eyes were starting to hurt.

The harpoon wasn't easy to aim, but it wasn't difficult either. Jordan hauled it around on its pivot. It was heavy, and the bearings were a bit stiff, but when your target was that large, it was pretty hard to miss. This wasn't exactly what Jordan had expected to be gotten out of bed for, but it was kind of a job hazard.
He got the harpoon centered as well as he could on the bulk of the Insanity creature.

Whoever had designed these weapons had been eccentric. Or possibly under the influence of something. Or possibly not expecting them to be used. Jordan made sure nobody was within smacking range, then summoned Ferros and hauled off to whack the harpoon's base.

The thing jolted, but didn't go off. Jordan growled a little and tried again.

Jordan brought Ferros back further and put some muscle into the swing. This time, the harpoon activated; its runes lit and the barbed spear fired, sailing in a graceful arc out towards the massive monster. He couldn't hear the impact, but the spear sank halfway into the thing's body. Satisfying.
He sank Ferros's finial spike into the dirt, ignoring the now-useless harpoon base, and leaned on the hammer, studying the Insanity beast. If they were going to have to take this fight to close quarters, it was worth taking some time to look for possible weak points. Eyes, maybe; the thing had multiples.
Final damage: 120

Death Division: TurretsThose quiet, sun filled and peaceful days of skateboarding, beach combing and hanging out with Eva and Reine in the brilliant Island weather were gone now. All great things come to an end on Deus, sooner than later. While the sun may have tanned most people, it only left Otto with an unimaginable amount of freckles due to his constant exposure to the sun. While Eva playing connect the dots on his face while he napped was annoying at best, it was the least of his worries now. After having just cleaned off the marker yet another time, sirens blared. Great. Imminent disaster was striking. On the plus side? He got to use a <********> turret. Life wasn't so bad after all. With the careful instruction from a hobo assistant lead, Otto began to open fire. He might have been grinning. Quote: Damage: 27 OOC Notes for me: 5 D10 5x (Taking turn 1 of 5)

He knew that look. He'd seen it before, and all he needed was another newbie thinking stupid things. He slowly put Shiloh down, and leveled Quinn with a dark look. "Listen. Buddy. Do yourself a favor, and don't take everything people say so seriously." His eyes flickered to her for a moment, a frown kissing the corners of his lips, before he returned to Quinn. "Sometimes, they're just trying to mess with you. If you're always letting them, you're gonna get your heart stomped on." It was unclear as to what Quinn's heart had to do with the situation, but Robert felt he'd offered some helpful advice, and left it at that. He turned around, gave Shiloh a shrug as if to say can I go now, god, and left. But this time, unlike the first, the bad vibe he felt was coming directly from himself.

Death Division: TurretsIf only he could always use turrets to fight. He much preferred this over field combat; standing a safe distance away and just hammering the enemy with bullets. This was heaven! He seemed to start missing way too much, losing slight control of where the aim was. He grimaced and tried to regain control of the device, leveling it's aim of fire at the creature. Death Division: TurretsIt wasn't that the situation wasn't terrifying. Far from it. It was always scary fighting something that threatened Deus. What kept him going was burying that fear with the courage to fight. As long as he had the power to fight, it was easy to bury his fear. The alarm had startled him, knocking him off the bed and tumbling to the floor. Wilson hissed, rubbing the back of his head while he slowly got back to his feet. Well, it had only been a matter of time, right? The death hunter ran out and after milling about within the crowd, found a turret. Oh. This seemed simple enough. Probably.

Wilson kept smiling amiably even as the blond glared.
"Weeeeell," he started as he turned back to his own turret and took aim. He grinned. "As long as I get to shoot things, I don't mind what exactly we fight with.
