In the Gauntlet, can we sacrifice an NPC to bypass the Guardian?

OnionGrump For the gold journey thing. If you roll more than enough to pass the 20 mark @ distance, does extra amount I rolled count towards the next goal of 40 and total goal of 150?
For example I was at 17/20 and I roll a total of 5. Do I just put 22/40 ( and 22/150 ) after I do the little event and before I start rolling towards the 40 mark? noinahz (4:33:35 PM): IF WE ROLL 52/50 DISTANCE. AND WE GO TO THE PITSTOP. AND THEN START THE JOURNEY AGAIN. DO WE START AT 52 or 50 [Legacy Metachat] (4:33:55 PM): ("oZooo" ninjazoosmut) 52 DIS FOR YOU ONNIE

I REALLY WANT TO DO SOME RP/PRP RIGHT NOW WITH THE GREEN STATUS EFFECT
BUT I ALSO WANT TO BE ABLE TO DO MULTIPLE SMALL RPs THAT ARE NOT BATTLES
CAN WE MAKE PRPs OR DO WE HAVE TO PRP ONLY IN BATTLES/GAUNTLET RUNS THAT BOTH HAVE COOLDOWNS
AND IF WE CAN MAKE PRP THREADS CAN WE MAKE THEM IN THE BATTLE ZONE SUBFORUM??
I JUST REALLY WANT TO RP THE STATUS EFFECT

sammpai In the Gauntlet, can we sacrifice an NPC to bypass the Guardian? No. D: if groups have already done this please stand by. The grail/final bit IS CONSIDERED LOOT so by skipping the Guardian you're forfeiting grail status bonuses and the blessing...

kurotomato Does the x2 loot for the killing blow apply to the bosses in the Gauntlet? No. ^ please see the bold above loot. This boss will be changed soon though as a warning.

Is the cooldown only for ending the Gauntlet or when you start/join a Gauntlet such as with battling? Say for example we really want to play status effects but we're in a group that's being held back/slow/inactive? Can we start a solo Gauntlet after an hour?

No, I mean, I know that one, I'm talking about the first "boss," the one with the Insanity Knight for Stage 1 of the run!

Say for example we really want to play status effects but we're in a group that's being held back/slow/inactive? Can we start a solo Gauntlet after an hour? Cooldown affects ending the Gauntlet. If a group is slow then you'll may start/join a new group after one hour of inactivity however if you're getting loot in the now-inactive run, you can only get loot IN that run, no switching over to the other run for loot even if you reached the point the other group stopped at.

kurotomato ^ please see the bold above loot. This boss will be changed soon though as a warning. My apologies, I see the Guardian as the Gauntlet's boss and the first encounter as a mob. Yes, loot x2 applies to whoever lands the killing blow only if you stand and fight and it's your first run through.

Ariaalina On the gold main task, the bandits (yes, I rolled them) have 20 attack and I can hit for 2d10-6. It says on the thread: Roll your equipped weapon's dice. If your result is lower, subtract the difference and adjust your current HP. For example, if you roll and have 7 attack, then you take 13 HP damage. With my hit dice, it would seem that I would never win this battle since the max I can hit them for is 14, which will never be greater than 20. So my question is, am I missing something (like I'm supposed to subtract my hit from their attack for their remaining attack) or is my character doomed from the start? Reposting this to make sure it was not overlooked.

If you skip the Guardian in the gauntlet, does that make you ineligible for status effects? If we previously skipped the boss, do the status effects we rolled for count or should we nullify them? (I am fine with either for the record <3 so no worries!)

You may keep both grail blessing and the status effect.

If you're in the gauntlet, have all 6 of your companions, and roll a 21, do you do 21 damage or does it cap at 20?
