Mordekai looked to the side stubbornly. "Your wife isn't dead. You don't understand." He scratched his head. "There's not much point, either. I'm not a strong enough person to be a kind of father to look after Kyle and teach him. I know nothing about my own son and I haven't got the power to control him either."
Christopher nodded with a smile as he patted Kyle's head. "A lonely little boy, aren't you?" Kyle didn't like to admit it, but maybe he was. Christopher smiled more. "Well not any more." He swept Kyle under his coat and they both disappeared again. Leaving the dusty room behind. Although to Cale's dismay they still didn't come back onto the radar. Cale vaguely remembered Chris doing this when they were younger. Hide and seek.. which.. turned to more serious games of hide and assassinate. For a moment Cale was lost in his thoughts, until he snapped right back into reality when his imagination was right there, in front of him. Staring him in the face. "How nice to see you again." Chris stood right next to the sleeping Charlotte. Cale sprung to his feet to get at him but Chris had already done what he wanted. In the split of the second just before Cale got at him, Chris lightly touched Charlotte's forehead and disappeared once more, leaving Cale to tumble onto the floor and get back up quickly to scan for him. With no suck luck. <********!" Cale pounded his forehead against the wall.

*Shortstraw held down his hand, "you may not need power at all. Control isn't always the answer either. It's true your wife is gone, but at least you have us still to try and keep you on your feet. You just have to suck up and deal with it. I'm just a kid compaired to you, but i know better. Dont give up like that."
Suddenly Veria appeared int he room and slapped her hand down on charrlet to quickly stop anything he may have tampered with in charrlet. She was to have laber soon, and she was basicly as big as the building, she wasn't ready to be Isa just yet. so veria was quick to sort things out in charrlets mind, "cale..." she hissed as she worked, "stop hurting yourself and do somthing usful. There is a game being played, he have to get the opening card to let us out of the start space. Your a key to that, so think. Is there a way for me to get to him?"

Mordekai shut his eyes. "Yeah... you're just a kid.." He glanced back to Shortstraw. "I've lived too long to have the motivation. You may think you know better." He looked back down. "But-" Mordekai suddenly disappeared unexpectedly. And he didn't seem to know it either. Mordekai appeared again a few meters elevated from the ground right in front of the castle and dropped on his back. "Ah-" He got winded for a second. "What the... hell.." Chris peered over him. "You're a bad man." He flipped Mordekai onto his front with his foot and pushed his face into the dirt. "******** mutts." He kicked Mordekai's stomach hard and disappeared again. At this point Dante woke up from the commotion. "Whats.. going on?" Kato was still passed out at the end of the bed in an awkward position. "Kato?" Dante was confused. Kato almost always woke up to his call.
Cale scowled. "I'm trying the best I can. If I can't get to him then you certainly won't be able to. He keeps... blocking himself off. Moving from place to place without direction. It doesn't make any sense." She rubbed his head. "I think he's trying to disorient us." He looked back to Charlotte, who still remained asleep."

*Shortstraw jumped. He turned to keria, "damn." He walked over and sat next to her, he couldn't go after him... he had an idea though what happened. "EVELYN!" He called.
Meanwhile Veria hissed agian finally placing things back in order ofr charrlet, "then we need somthing to lur him to me. He wants to play this game, them i wish he would play it with me instead. It would be mre interesting." She licked her lips. Seemed she was starting to slip just a bit, "now consintrate." She walked over and sat him down, then eased around her shoulders and massashed him to relaxed him, "there has to be a opeing..." she whispere din his ear... "you just need to relax and consintrate..." she whispere dint he other.

As Mordekai laid there in agony Evelyn suddenly appeared at Shortstraw's side, clutching her head. "Yes Shortstraw?" She looked around herself. "What's going on?" Kiera frowned in her sleep as she rolled over and curled up into a tight ball. "N-no... s-stop.."
Cale sighed and looked down. "Okay, okay. Just gimme a second." He shut his eyes and focused. Christopher was more experienced than Cale in every way, and knew more about everything they were. It was difficult for Cale to concentrate without facing up to that.
Dante got up out of the bed and walked over to Kato, crouching. "Kato?" He patted his head but found that he was still not waking up. There was something odd going on. Dante walked out of the room and down the stairs to see Mordekai outside the window. "What?" Dante squinted before going outside to Mordekai's side. "Uncle? Are you okay?" Mordekai grunted. "Peachy."

*Solfora woke up and looked up as Alice got up and moved. She instantly however knew somthing was wrong. SHe too went to kato and patted his head, "kato..." she replied in her small vioce as she closed her eye for a second to see if she could reach to him. She then hurryed out of the room and down the stairs after Donte, "master becarful." She replyed as she neared him and took a finger to his belt loop. At this point solfora was just grasping somthing was up and getting dressed.
Meanwhile veria whispered into his ear as she softly soothed cale, "dont think about him being better. Anything he can do you can do, think of why you need to prevail..." she switched sides, "think of me. Think of uncle... show me whos the better man... power and ablilty isn't everything..." she contined as she kept trying to relax him. THis sorta thing she used to love doing to poeple to get what she wanted... but since cale come she never needed to. Now she almost missed doing such things, it was fun.

Cale winced. "Right." He said disbelievingly. He didn't seem convinced at all. Especially with his past with Chris. And who knew what kind of ridiculous power he'd probably obtained this time. Chris had a habit of doing that everytime they saw each other. Cale supposed that it was his fault for Chris taking an interest in the family to begin with. However he forgot one small thing from when he last fought Chris.
Dante looked to Alice then back to Mordekai. "What happened?" Mordekai coughed. "A guy called Chris. Apparently he's back." Dante thought about it. "And he did this to you?" He coughed again and stood up. "Surprised he didn't do more to be honest. Maybe he's just trying to make a point." Dante frowned a little. "Or maybe he's trying to separate us."
Chris appeared once more in Dante's room, eyeing Soflora. "You're not supposed to be here." He smiled a little. "No matter." He put on his gloves back on and looked behind him to look at Dante's sword which was propped up against the wall. "Don't mind me." He moved the unconscious Kato out of the way and carefully gripped the sword hilt. He was careful, because he knew the risks if the sword didn't accept him. Thankfully he had the gloves for that. He picked it up and marvelled at it for a second. "Beautiful." He grinned then disappeared.

*Soflora quickly burst out of the room and ran to shortstraws room where she though donte would be, "chriss is after the items of the house! He just took the hell sword!" Shortstraw was however wakeing Keria up. Soflora help her arm out and a few bas flew into the open window. She whispered to them and they rushed out to everyone spread out. One landed on dontes shoulder and replayed the message in soflora's vioce, "chris is after the yokai items, he just took your hell sword!" Shortstraw called, "keria get up. We have a theif in the house..."

Kiera squinted as she looked to Shortstraw. "Huh?" She suddenly felt anxious and unsafe as she looked around herself. "Christopher." Evelyn put her hands on her hips. "Seems so. He's stealing things." Kiera blinked. "My coat." Evelyn went a little more pale. "Where is it?" Kiera looked to the door as her heartbeat got faster. "The office..I-" She looked down. "s**t." Evelyn sighed a little. "I'll go check." She disappeared. "This is so bad."
Dante's eyes widened. "The sword." He cussed and brought Mordekai's arm over his shoulder. "Okay, we need to keep together then. We need to keep him from getting all the worst stuff." He got to his feet with Mordekai and took him back into the castle.

*Shortstraw cursed next. "The coat had the most powerful and dangrious of things in it, and you leave it in the office?" SHe facepalmed. Meanwhile the bat led donte and the others all to shortstraw and kerias room. Lilly, everyone, including fu. "Get all your imporatant items and keep them close and personal." Shortstraw yelled as she stood up, "Evelyn... please tell me it's still here..." he thought to her as he seemed be taking lead. "Donte set mordikei here. Lilly..." she nodded, "excalibar is never to leave my side. it's a part of me. I will be honder to gaurd what we still have." Fu nodded, "i keep some of the things on my person too... sorta a upgrade to my coat. Peradioa appeared, "place your items inside of me... He cannot touch them in here."

Dante set Mordekai down carefully and sighed. "I gave all of my stuff to Kiera so that we'd work it out. It's all in her coat." Kiera looked away guiltily and walked to the window. Evelyn came back with a scowl. "Gone." She looked to Kiera. "Why'd you leave it in there? You usually keep it in here." Kiera frowned a little more. "It was the ball. That room usually has a powerful block on it. So I kept in there for safekeeping." Evelyn grunted. "Obviously it wasn't a powerful enough barrier." Kiera fumbled her hands together. "It should have kept him out." Evelyn sighed helplessly. "He has Kyle, Dante's sword, and the coat with god knows how many god-tier items in there." Kiera looked away again worriedly.

*Fu shied, "he cannot take stuff out of the coat unless he's yokai blood though. So at least he cannot use the stuff hidden within. Even still though, that is why yuji held the burrden of carrying that coat and never taking it off. This is a tarrable threat. Now with the hell sword gone also... well..." He thought about it, "however we still hold advantage in some aspects. The yokai family each contain a sword of some kind. Shortstraw dagger even became a sword a while back. Keria your sword, Verias sword, and so on will each be of use. Donte, the haze swords are still in that secrite vult correct? Get them right now." Shortstraw nodded, "soflora thats the first time i seen the bats thingy, but i need you to use it again. We have no items in the underground area, so get our allies. Each one will be needed. We need to stick together and use what we each still have in order to take this guy."

Kiera winced. "My sword is in my coat." Evelyn sighed. "Of course it is." Kiera decided not to contribute from now on thinking she'd probably just add worse scenarios to the conversation. Dante went over by Kiera. "You know I haven't actually seen your sword before." Kiera looked away from him. "My sword changed. First it was the dagger that dad gave me and Evelyn bonded to it when she made a deal with me. Since then she's never allowed me to use it again. So I obtained a different one a while ago. I don't use it because it's temperamental. It's the element sword." Dante scratched his head. "I think I heard of it. It changes, I think." Kiera nodded. "Changes depending on the opponent you're facing. For instance if I was fighting a fire nymph it would change to a water sword." Dante sighed. "So we've lost that, then." Kiera licked her lips. "There are a fair few things I would have liked to have that's in that coat at a time like this. I feel bare." Dante smiled. "This guy can't use the items. So it's fine." Kiera shook her head. "That's not the point. I don't think he's going to be offensive at all." Evelyn looked over to them. "He hasn't done much so far so we can't tell. But judging from what we saw last time he doesn't like facing us on in a battle. He uses tricks to weedle us down."

*Shortstraw nodded, "yes. But sadly our master at weedling on our side is trying to take the guy on full fledg by herself." He looked to keria, "Verias off trying to take on the guy." He then started to think. "Evelyn this guy uses anchant s**t, so it's harmful even to you. So you have to stay put for now... he could use you aginst us. Same with keria, and I. Veria has control over all that, so she can just cut ties. Donte, get your hiykki thingy involved. We need all the help we can. For now this castle is on patrol. This castle contains secrites and such. It's basicly one huge item... well at least thats what veria explained to me way way back when i met her and was following keria around." He seemed to be stuck but trying to take defencive mostly. "Every offencive we take will be blocked... however doing nothing but defencive will mean we don't solve our problem. So lets put some things together here..." He pulsed and mumbled, "damn it I wish Eve was here." Soflora stepped up, "shortstraw... i can sent a bat after her..." He looked to her, "how much do you know." Soflora smerked, "enough to say the least. Shall i call the girls home or not? IF this guy is using seals or barriors eve will need to be involved." Shortstraw nodded, "go head. We are in a pickle. As soon as he took that coat, it became a familiy war. Thats this familiy main airloom." Lilly nodded, "So is Keria. Yuji chose her for it directly for a reasion, the coat is only to bond to her and her alone. Veria however showed when a child she could access it aswell, however she's never worn it."
Meanwhile veria kept on, "come on baby never put yourself lower then your enemy. then your brother, the past losses only mak eyou stronger. So hun keep trying." she pushed.

Chris glanced up at the castle from the front with his hands in his pockets and a small smile. "Hectic at the moment, isn't it." Kyle also looked at the castle right next to Chris. "They're probably panicking. They're preparing to go against you." Chris sighed a little. "Of course. Why wouldn't they? I've taken a lot from them." His eyes thinned a little however. "Why won't you do anything Kiera." "You're expecting her especially to do something." Chris tilted his head. "I'm already aware of my brothers efforts to try and pinpoint me so his little girlfriend can face me, however I predicted this time that Kiera would face me too." Kyle shook his head. "She's soft." Chris grinned. "Oh no-no-no. People think that because she barely does anything. They've lost faith in a person like that and so never asks for her help anymore. Much like how Kiera has lost faith in her Demon, or allegedly. But what I see is a greater deception. Just because a power isn't shown doesn't mean it's not there. Outward appearances are often deceiving." He looked to Kyle with a smile. "Much like yourself." Kyle looked away. "I'm nothing like my mother." Chris laughed. "Yes, you're much more." He patted Kyle's head. "A valuable asset." He looked back to the castle. "Ah, but I wish they'd try something different for once. Oh well. Kyle, let's retire for the night." Kyle nodded. "It's probably best." They both vanished completely.
