"I don't like being so afraid though. I just...I don't want to die or have someone else die...and that scares me. But I also don't want to fight and injure people." And his attack was something he liked, it didn't do damage to people, it was a simple distraction to others. He could handle that better than using his fists really, and he was glad to find his attack to not be something which hurt others.
"I - I guess we share the same fears. The same things scare us." He whispered before he shook his head. It was nice to have something in common with someone. He didn't feel lesser, weak, or anything else. He liked this senshi and was glad he had met her, was glad to have her around and helping him.
Watching as she moved her hands to block he face he moved in and went to throw another punch at her, aiming for her arms. He might as well try and see how to break such a block, and if he could.
Ganymede as about to respond on the topic of Negaverse-related injuries—though he wasn’t quite sure how since he’d been lucky enough to avoid many serious injuries; perhaps to offer encouragement? Or share a story about that one time his wrist was broken by a Nega’s curling iron?—when Ida’s next move sent her teetering over the side of the balance beam.
He reached out to grab her arm with the intention of helping her right herself, but even as graceful as Ganymede was by nature he was no match for the combination of narrow beam, extra weight, and gravity. Despite his efforts, he ended up toppling over with her and landed in an ungraceful heap on the ground.
“Sorry,” he mumbled, quickling pushing himself up in case the close proximity bothered her at all, carefully stretching a limb or moving one or the other to make sure he hadn’t sustained more than some mild bruising.
“Well, that could have gone better,” he said.
For a moment some mild soreness in one of his feet made him worry that he really might have hurt something, but he reassured himself that it was one of the normal aches and pains one often experienced when they frequently danced on the tips of their toes. He shrugged it off after putting some weight on his foot and finding that it wasn’t irritated.
“Here,” Ganymede said, and offered Ida a hand, pausing their little spar for the moment since it didn’t seem especially fair to hit an opponent while they were down. He did, however, manage to joke, “So if you hurt yourself does that equal a point for me?”

Shooting a look back over her shoulder, Laoise was horrified to spy the both of them giving chase -- certain, up until that point, that she'd gotten away scott free and could spend the rest of the battle watching from the sidelines. At least she was quicker than a senshi: a cat who could weave between feet and move sleekly through a crowd.
Sadly, one of her chasers was a cat, too. So as she went, Laoise knocked things over in her wake, gym equipment tottering sideways, making a mess to slow them down.
And all at once, she was enjoying herself again.

Pompeii nodded. Maybe Lassell was right, besides Pompeii wasn't very lucky when it came to fighting... just look at her. Just from this 'battle' she was bruised on her knees and her hands were rubbed red, her uniform was smudged and dirty and if Pompeii had to taste floor once more she was going to scream.
"So if we are able to pull this off lets at least look like we are studying the fighting patterns." Pompeii turned and watched the ebb and flow of the battle wash across the gym. "Who do you think is winning?"

Maia noticed people seemed to be getting tired and she knew it was getting really late and so she gave a nod to Delphi. "Good going thus far, how about we continue this at a later point in the week. I think now would be a good time for everyone to be getting home.
She turned and headed over to the closest balance beam and jumped up one it. "Alright everyone bring it in. It's getting late and I think its time to be headed out of here," she shouted over all the sparring and waving everyone over.
"Tonight started out with getting to use "weapons"," she said air quoting weapons, "and I'm sure you all noticed how quickly things got chaotic and became more of a free for all. This is often what happens in larger battles, you get caught in what you are doing or get lost in the sauce so say."
She smiled and sat down on the balance beam, "Athene, Ida, Lassell and Pasiphae did exceptionally well in sticking together and working as a team. Despite what was going on you stayed calm, devised a strategy, and stuck with it. This isn't always easy, especially when so much is going on."
"Juno and Massalia and Aster are to be commended for their enthusiasm and for remembering that even though weapons are provided, sometimes the most proficient and available weapon is yourself. Someone couldn't string a bow and arrow to shoot at you if you are punching them in the gut."
"I hope that while it seemed to actually be a lot of fun, you learned from this training session and you'll be able to take something away." She looked around at the everyone in the room with a smile. "Now I'm sure you are all wondering about the white bag from earlier, the prize. Blue team dominated the session with their eagerness and their go for it attitude, even though the red team fought back determinedly. Therefore the each blue team member will recieve a 50 dollar gift card to Destiny City's Drive in movie theater to hopefully catch a couple movies one night."
Shang walked up beside his sister and put a hand on her shoulder, "however I did not think it very fair for everyone else who showed to the training session and participated, so to the red team, gift cards are well, for 25 dollars to the drive."
Maia shook her head, but smiled looking back at the other's gathered round, "Everyone needs a break sometimes and our lives are about more that running around at night protecting the city from chaos. I hope you can make it your mission to see a movie at some point this month, on us."
Shang grabbed a envelope labeled 25 out of the white bag and walked around handing out gift cards to the red team realizing happily that they had too many as opposed to too few, while Maia grabbed an envelope labeled 50 and walked around handing out gift cards to the blue team realizing the same as her brother and very happy the picked up extras.

A large sigh came from Lassell "finally! now I go home and take a nap...I mean after I help clean up I can go home and Nap" he said before taking the gift card from Maia and nodding politely at her and putting his gift card away. Before stretching "either way that was a good training session, tiring but good" he said before looking at Maia and Shang and deciding to hang back to help clean up. He collapsed on a nearby balance beam and waited for the rest to leave so they could clean up.

Ida squeaked as she toppled, feeling her wrist grabbed, but do little to slow her. Landing hard on her back, she pushed herself up on her elbows and coughed as she struggled to grasp some air back into her lungs. That could have gone a lot better and she hoped no one she knew had seen her do something so stupid.
Suddenly concerned, her eyes flew to Ganymede and she struggled up to her feet, grasping the hand he offered.
"Omigosh, are you okay? You didn't get hurt did you? I'm so sorry I pulled you over, I really didn't mean to do that!" She was honestly worried that the delicate looking senshi might have gotten hurt, forgetting for a moment that she could leap buildings when powered up, and being eternal, the other could probably do more than even she could.
Shifting from foot to foot, it took her a moment to register what he had said and she blinked at him with wide, dark eyes in confusion. When she realized he was joking, she broke out in a bright smile as she laughed.
"I suppose it does!" She said. "After all, it would benefit you in a real fight, right?"
As the pair was talking, Ida heard Maia call them over and turned to listen as they were thanked and the winning team was announced. She blushed as her little team was singled out for praise and she modestly tugged her hood up a little farther on her head, staring at the ground. It had just been an idea to keep the group together. It hadn't seemed like a good thing for everyone to get separated... anyone could have done the same thing.
She smiled at Maia as she received her card and turned back to offer Ganymede her hand. "It was really nice to meet you and I had fun sparring. I hope we can do it again sometime!"
Pompeii was glad when Maia called an official end to the sparing session even if her team didn't win. She was tired and had to work the next day and was more then ready to go home. When Shang handed her a gift card for the movies she was tempted to hand it back but decided to give it to one of her employees. The movies were really a social thing and group things were not really Pompeii's forte as tonight's practice proved.
She was ready to go but when she saw Lassell hang around Pompeii hesitated... was there going to be a group meeting after? or was he just hanging around for clean up? Either way she knew she should stick around at least for a little while longer so Pompeii stretched out on the bleachers, where she had sat back down, to wait until everyone else had left.

Super Sailor Aster was exhausted. Sure, she spent over half the battle lying face down after being pegged in the head with various objects, then stumbled over herself in a later attempt to tackle - and most of her injuries were of her own making - but still. She felt defeated, especially when it was announced that her team had lost.
"Ugh, great," she said, crossing her arms with a pout, ever the sour sport. Not only did she take a beating, she failed to pick up any guys and her team lost the training. Full of disappointment, the oblivious Senshi of Sunflowers marched out of the gymnasium, hoping things would just pick up from then on.
Athene gave a rueful smile at the Squire as Maia called an end to the night "I guess that's it for the night" he said quietly. "But it was nice meeting you..." he looked for a name tag. "Alfheim."

Heading over to where the others were gathering, he looked a little embarrassed as Maia singled out the little group that he'd formed with Ida, Pasiphae and the Page who he now knew to be Lassell, but he was also pleased for Ida since it had been her idea.
He quietly thanked Maia as he received his card from her and decided to wait up for Ida while she spoke to a blond eternal.
He wasn't sure what he'd do with his giftcard, but mayhaps he could share it with Tsui. Actually if Ida was agreeable mayhaps the three of them could pick a film to watch or something some time - after all he saw them as friends as well as comrades to a common cause.

Or at least Falias had been aiming to try for a hit to Valhalla's side, but the one that Alfheim had identified as being called Maia called a halt just as he started to let his hand fly.
"Ah well, it looks like tonight's over" he said to Valhalla as he let his hand drop to his side instead. It was probably a good thing as he was feeling tired. "It was nice talking to you though Valhalla" and maybe he could talk to the other about some of this Knight stuff at some point.

Although it probably wouldn't be tonight, Falias acknowledged to himself as he followed the others gathering around Maia, he was feeling tired and had to be up to open up the shop tomorrow.
He was surprised when the prize turned out to be a gift card, absently tucking the one given to him in a pocket as he thanked Maia.
It had been a surprisingly turned out to be not that bad an evening, even if he hadn't achieved his original plan of trying to find Camelot.
Palatine was not a sore loser, but there was some level of disappointment to knowing that her team had lost.
Mostly she just didn't like that Sessrumnir had won, and he was still holding onto her fist, which was annoying. Palatine glared at him and yanked it away, tempted to throw another punch just for the hell of it, but as the game was over and she couldn't be sure if she'd actually be able to land another hit when Sess's battle reflexes were much better than her own, she inevitably decided against it.
Instead, she stepped forward to grab her “you might be a loser but you're still a star” gift card and wondered what she should do with it. Probably give it to Rhiannon, or maybe use it herself—probably with Rhiannon along anyway since it seemed sort of sad and pathetic to go to the movies alone, and she didn't always feel like she spent enough time with her niece.
Well, she supposed it was in her nature to be horrible with family. She really shouldn't be surprised.
Palatinespared one last look toward Sessrumnir as she turned to make her way out, and muttered just loud enough for him to hear, “I need a drink.”
Whether or not he chose to follow was his prerogative.
Ganymede wasn't sure how interested he was for another spar, but he certainly wouldn't mind running into Ida again sometime. Not that they'd had much time to properly converse or get to know one another, but she didn't seem too bad. He could try his hand at being a little more friendly, he supposed. He had enough bad habits as a Senshi without avoiding people more than he did.
He approached Maia along with Ida in order to receive his loser's gift card. Hmm, what to do with it? If he and Val got one a-piece that put them up at fifty dollars anyway. They could see quite a few movies with that.
It'd probably be a good idea to set some time aside for a certain friend, too, but he'd get back to that thought later.
Taking the hand that was offered to him, Ganymede bit his farewells to Ida. “It was nice meeting you, too. Congrats on the win. I'll see you around, yeah? Keep my eye out for you.”
That was friendly enough, wasn't it? He really had no idea why he was so bad at this kind of stuff as a Senshi when he didn't have as many problems with it as a normal civilian, but at least he hadn't gotten into any stupid arguments with anyone this time.
It wasn't much, but it was at least a small improvement.
With a final smile, Ganymede turned to find Valhalla with every intention of heading home and calling it a night.

After leaving the chibi behind at the beam, the rest of Juno's 'battle' had been mostly playing on the beams, bars, and other equipment, mixed with launching herself at any opponents that came close. It was a pretty frequent strategy she used anyway. So perfecting her skills with the use of actual gymnastic equipment was fun and may or may not have been training.
When the training was called though, Juno seemed ready to be done, hit with the sudden realization of how much energy she'd output over the night's events.
Juno was a pretty competitive person both henshined and in her civilian life. In most other occassions losing at something she was actually trying pretty hard at would have annoyed or angered the already spicy girl. And maybe eventually at home those feelings would emerge at some point. But at this moment the mixture of exhaustion and pure bliss at her gymnastic workout were keeping any such thoughts at bay.
As Maia and Shang spoke Juno seemed to be doing a slow and weary post workout cooldown, stretching her arms and legs in a similar manner to the way she did after volleyball practices. The mention of her name drew her eyes upward for a moment, feeling that momentary swelling of pride in her chest at the shout out.
The prize for second place (which she often taunted at volleyball events as being first place loser) was a surprise for her, but she took it when it was handed to her, staring at it curiously. Drive.... in....? She'd figure it out!
Lifting her hand in a tired and silent signal of her departure to anyone that might have noticed or cared, the Amazonian senshi made her way out of the building and into the deliciously cooler air of the night outside. She might have lost, but she'd surely sleep well tonight.
