Travelling deeper into the rugged mountains, what Nakano would meet in the next leg of her journey was something of an oddity. Placed directly in the middle of the road, blocking her path like a wall made of flesh, was a Snorlax...sleeping...well apparently even in the Dream World these Pokemon couldn't go against their baser instincts. Still, although a slumbering Snorlax was nothing new, their were a number of oddities once one looked closer. The fatty Pokemon's face was calm, almost serene, it's eyes almost appearing to see them despite being closed. Stranger still was the presence of a number of pitch black clouds of mist sitting at it's feet, slowly fading away with each passing second. What was this creature...and why was it here?
Abruptly the beast would snore, the ground shaking, rocks tumbling from the cliffs as a result of the ear splitting sound. ">Nightmare<" The Snorlax uttered in a gentle, surprisingly high voice ">You shall be tested<" It muttered, though as it twisted it's body it would be clear that despite his words, the Snorlax was still very much asleep...though Nakano's PokeDex would inform her that this wasn't about to stop the creature from battling!
This was terrible. He'd lost two pokemon already. What kind of a trainer was he? Not being able to no know when to stop and retreat. Well actually, Sora had a gut feeling that he should've left after Poochyena had been dealt with, but he had just ignored it. And now poor Scraggy, at least he was still with Sasori, but unconscious. Sasori continued to run down the wretched path that was masked with a beautiful nature scene. Was this the work of the "Nightmare"? Not noticing the incoming Seed Bomb, Sora was thrown forward from the impact that had just missed him. This place was trying to kill him!! Scrambling to his feet, Sora continued to run. There was no telling what would happen next in this Dream World.
A big smile came on the girl's face at the sight of the pokemon, this was another on her huge list of wants. Though she was immediately regretting that this was all just one big dream.
She almost sighed to herself ...of course ...only in a dream would the pokemon she wished for show up.
Her thoughts stray back to a certain ...Absol.
"I agree to your test."
She would speak strongly even as Lucky looked at her and would press her paws against the pokemon's side. She would grip her lightly.
(I think this might be a bad idea ....in your condition.)
He would say. The two of them hadn't been together long, so it wasn't the same type of loyalty as the rest of her group. The Snubbull growled lightly.
(I will be tested in your place)
Afterall, the last trial hadn't left her in good shape.

As she walked away from the underground area ....the sun would cut across the clouds to hit on something in a singluar beam. The small green thing if she came closer would be apparent ....a berry. Not any old berry at all, it was something called Wepear Berry.
It would seem that things were looking up ...and up with that.

Grey Moonfang IV
At this point, the mountain path itself had started to snake upwards ....further up and up ....as it would seem that it was reaching it's peak. As the sunlight would illuminate his form ...as a Lavritar sat at the top.
The pokemon looking downwards at those that pass underneath him as he would take one paw and touch the top of his head. It was almost go time ...as he waited to see what they would do, trainer and pokemon. Singular, but then again ...he liked one on one better than anything else.
His tongue would run along the bottom of his mouth ...showing teeth that was surprisingly jagged for a pokemon of his type. Afterall, Lavritar didn't really look dangerous until it full evolves.

Image caught in the light of the setting sun, Raven would nearly trip over Fable as he laid eyes upon the Larvitar. For a brief instant there would be a somewhat uncharacteristic flailing of limbs as the boy fought to maintain balance, his Charmander rolling across the ground to avoid being in the potential impact zone. After a few seconds the child would succeed in his efforts, and having achieved this, would return his attention to the Larvitar. Such a small creature, not spectacularly strong, but the very essence of untapped potential. From a creature that slowly ate away at mountains, to one whom could level it in seconds.
Adjusting his posture Raven's crimson orbs would level into a steady glare. He spoke no words, gestured not with his hands, but sent a clear message with his eyes. It was the look of a challenger, but the contest was for the Larvitar to decide.
Lucky would prove both a wise, and terrible choice, as Nakano would learn this was not the same sort of 'test' issued by those whom came before; but the one she was all too familiar with. Massive girth rippling slightly as the Snorlax moved his arms, the beast would adjust himself into a far more comfortable position. Then the muttering would start, the creature's eyes never opening ">One's body is a palace...<" He spoke softly, sleepily ">...and fortress built strong by love and life....<" The beast rolled as he muttered, arms reaching for his belly ">....*yawn*...defense...over offense....<" The Snorlax murmured, clearly using one of it's speciality moves, SLEEP TALK!
Apparently the encounter with the Trapinch had made the boy a little paranoid, with consideration to the fact that the Phanpy's throw hadn't even been directed at the boy, more so that he apparently couldn't tell a Seed Bomb from a Ground-Type tossing aside a piece of compost. Still his choice had been made, and considering the Phanpy hadn't born any interest in, or even NOTICED the child, it wouldn't pursue. Instead Sasori would next encounter a large cardboard box...which strangely had a large, purple barbed tail thrusting out from the back of it.
Proceeding forward down the rugged rocky path, Theo would find himself faced with something of an ominous sight. Standing high up atop a rocky spire was an Absol, staring down at him with it's bright red eyes. When the boy drew closer, it would leap to another spire, looking over it's shoulder at him upon landing. Another step closer and it would leap to the next spire, still watching him. It seemed as if it were trying to lead him somewhere...or perhaps merely playing a game, maybe even preparing an ambush. It was up to him whether to fight or follow.
The path was rugged, making it hard for him to walk. He even returned Midnight back to her pokeball to converse strenght. A shadow of the spires would make him glanced upward. There were many of those spires lined up like a road and just above them was a pokemon that sent shivers down his spine. An absol, whispered as bringer of disaster. Whenever an absol appeared disaster would follow. The pokemon looked back at him then leaped to the next spire and stopped there. He was being beckoned to follow. The pokemon surely couldn't mean for him to climb up too. Theo looked around for another way to follow the pokemon. He wanted to know what the pokemon wanted with him, be it trap or disaster ahead.
Objective: Catch Up and Keep Up! Rules: Spire Speeder will consist of 3 Rounds of 5 Dice Rolls (D20s). To catch up to the Pokemon you must have a combined total (all 5 rolls + SPD) Higher then the Pokemon. Bonus points if you manage to keep up with the Pokemon consecutively. You must beat the Pokemon a minimum of 2/3 times to win. Rolls of 1 will mean you fell off the spire, negatively impacting your final points score. Rolls of 20 will boost your score.
Fur hardly ruffled by the wind, the Absol would speed forward with all the haste of one racing from a disaster; or quite possibly towards it. Landing upon the tips of the spires the Dark-Type would never falter, his steps making no sound, nor releasing an debris. There was no hesitation in his movements, only precision.
"There aren't any other way is there..."Theo sighed at the fact there was no other road, beside climbing the spire. He had no knowledge or skill to climb a rock. Once he did climbed a tree, but that was different to scaling rock. Theo attempted to climb by finding place where he could grab on and foothold. He clumsily climbed the spires that way, carefully testing the foothold before putting his weight on it. After all, he didn't want to risk falling down from height.
Without the assistance of a Pokemon, and with a severe lack of skill Theo would swiftly find himself falling behind the Absol, the creature having almost doubled the gap between them in such a short amount of time!
