Devral walked into the library, not even bothering to look around, just following the shadows that led him to the darkest part of the library where he sat down. He leaned back into his seat and held the wand he had acquired some days ago on the first week of class, 'Davrin'. He studied the wand a moment, then looked up to a shelf, something catching his attention, something seemed to have moved, he reached out his hand, grabbed a thick book and pulled it off the shelf. "What is this?" He set it down on the table and opened it, then snorted, "Of course, its in another language." He sat back and stared in the shadows as though lost in thought.

Devral wasn't aware that he was currently being watched by the librarian as he continued to stare of into the shadows of the room with the book before him on the table. However, he did notice that he was fiddling with his wand in his right hand, What the hell am I doing? He snorted and placed the wand back into its new place at his belt, then looked down at the book written in his foreign language.

After a few moments he noticed some movement from the corner of his eye and looked toward the librarian and her paper work. The papers moving on their own, while she watched him. Amused, he just stared back.

Devral was amused that his staring didnt seem to phase her, however it wasn't long before she nodded to him, then welcomed him to the library and therefore introduced herself. He sat forward in his chair thinking of how he would respond, then decided not to be a smartass for once and be polite, a rare thing that.

"Greetings, Lady Setsuna. I am Devral, and as I am sure its obvious that I'm a student. I am assuming that you are the librarian here then?" He could feel the whole politness thing grating deep within him, and he didn't like it one bit. But the last thing he needed was another detention and, even worse, banned from the library.

Hmm. Alright then. Good, he didn't have to force the politeness, and just be himself, sort of. He was amused by the green glow of her eyes and the threat in her words when she spoke the last of her sentence. He didn't feel threatened in the least, however he got the message loud and clear. "I wouldn't think of it." Though his eye narrowed a bit in thought, though he was quite honost, he wasn't foolsih.

He glance over at the book he had pulled out earlier, then back to her, then his went back to the way it was before he narrowed it. "While I have your attention, I was wondering." He picked up the black book with its strange markings on it, stood from his seat, and walked up to her desk. "Would there happen to be a translation of this book? It... Drew my attention to it, I assumed it was about the ancient shadow magic and may have a history of this." He held out the wand that he had acquired from the dark arts teacher, and though the teacher had told him the name of the wand, and short history, he wanted to know more, surprisingly. Perhaps it would help him to control the shadows more easily.

He watched as she took the book and nodded, saying that there was and looked at her as she studied him wondering what she was thinking about. Before he could ask she walked to a far shelf and watched as it slid to the side revealing a door. Interesting. was the only thought he had as he watched as the door opened. The room seemed very dark inside, for once she stepped through the door she disappeared, certainly the light from the library would have shown into the room, but it did not, so he assumed that there was some sort of magic, or other element, keeping the room inside in total darkness.

A few minutes later there was movement and his eye focused and his mind came back from his thoughts as she came back through the door carrying a larger looking version of the book, and set in on a table, he assumed it was the translation, and walked over to it, looking at it. He looked up as she began to speak, he nodded, "That's an interesting room." He left it there, is interest now back to the book, "I will return it as you say. Thank you." He made a very, slight bow then moved to one of the chairs at the table and took a seat, reaching over to the book and pulling it over.
