I was about to run when I saw my allies attacks had no effect on the spirit. It was actually making it grow bigger. I could do nothing but watch in awe as it grew bigger. Suddenly it looked like it was going to attack and I yell "TAKE COVER!" As a great tidal wave crashed on top of us. I try to hold my breath as long a I can and to swim to the top but, it was no use and I soon black out.
"Thy spirits of the Umbra! Protect those who cannot aid themselves!" she called out. The tidal wave hit, the spirits were shielded, as were the people who weren't paying attention or who couldn't fight. Sylvia, however, was smacked right into the shrine, spent after using that much of her magical power. Of course, not to mention, her running away for a few days...and not eating. She lay unconscious against the shrine floor, under the water.
I slowly regain my conscious and open my eyes. I feel a presence around me, protecting me and I relaxed until I remembered what happened. I quickly sat up on the branch of a tall and ancient tree. I feel the presence dissipate as I sit up and look around. I see that everyone was safe and scattered around on the branches. Then I notice Sylvia was gone. "Sylvia?" I called and no answer. I try to sniff her out but, she was no where near me. "Sylvia!" I tried again but, no use. I look down at the water and see a piece of cloth and realize that it was Sylvia's. Although I wasn't confident in my swimming skills I dove down into the flooded shrine. As I try and open my eyes there was a slight sting. I look around in the murky water and spotted Sylvia lying next to the shrine. I swim back to the surface and take a deep breath of air. Again i dove down and swam as fast as I could. I finally reached Sylvia and picked her up with one arm. I used the rest of my limbs to reach the surface but I was swimming incredibly slower and running out of air. My lungs burned as I held my breath wishing to reach the surface soon. I wanted to give up as my arms and legs got tired but, I couldn't. I decided Sylvia would be my first friend at this school and I wasn't going to loose her. I gasped and coughed as I broke through the surface of the water. I grabbed a branch and used it to pull both of us up. When we were both safely on the branch I check for a pulse in Sylvia and am relieved as I hear one after she coughed up some water. I collapse next to her tired from the swim.
Sylvia's body was weakened after all the spirit usage. However, sometimes the spirits themselves would help her. A water spirit came over over, taking the water out of her lungs. Sylvia's eyes flickered open. "Ah...oh..." she looked at the branch. "Huh?" she looked at Lynia. "Thank you...you are most kind...I am in your debt." she bowed.

"No need to thank me. What are friends for? Although I don't really know how friendship works because I've been alone all this time." I slightly turn my face as I remember some of my past. "Anyway you looked really pale when I first saw you and it looks like you haven't eaten in a few days. Are you okay?"
(OOC: oh no oops I'm sorry!!! I'm pretty new to role playing and I wasn't paying attention ;-; forgive me.)
"Oh...well...thank you...I'm not akeen to what exactly friendship is myself. But, however, I'mm willing to learn...anyway..." she looked down. "I...have been running for a good bit of time...I didn't really have much time to eat...or rest for that matter..." she looked at the girl. "But it's not a worry...I'm alright."
"Well the lets learn together! The meaning of friendship." I look concerned as Sylvia told me her problems. "I would as what you were running from but, it doesn't seem like you want to talk about it. So lets go get some food for you its my treat. Where would you like to go?"

It seemed that just as Shirune finished complaining about the nuisance his arthritis was giving him, it seemed to vanish. Somewhat stunned the swordsman quickly searched about, scanning the forest for someone who could have eased the pain, but didn't see anyone. He was about to quit his search and scold Ibuki once more when he sensed a being of immense power approaching them all. He placed his hand on the hilt of his katana and had an itching to draw it out of it's sheathe but when he saw the being he immediately knew that fighting it head on without a strategy would prove to be reckless and ultimately fatal. He watched as quartet of student went after the being mercilessly, only to have the being stalk off towards the Academy. Turning his head towards Ibuki, Shirune gave her a stern gaze. "Whatever the hell that thing was... If it's going after the Academy..." He stated as his gaze focused in the direction of the Academy "It's our duty as Rose Duelists to stop it. Let's head back to the Academy and consult the headmasters and other Duelists on a plan." He advised before he began walking towards the Academy.

He is powerful, and his spiritual power is strong...I am sorry I was not enough to stop it." she bowed. "I was the one who healed your knee...by the way...I wished not to be seen because of those who pursue me, however...I'm sorry."

As Shirune began to make his way towards the Academy he was a little more than surprised to see someone float down from the sky and land right in front of him. Almost instinctively he had his hand on his blade, but when Sylvia began to warn him about the strength of the being and bowed he lowered his guard slightly. "Madame, from your valiant efforts against him I could see that he was powerful, but th--" He stopped when he heard that she was the one who had healed his knee, Shirune quickly bowed somewhat. "Y-you? Thank you kindly! You have no idea how much of a service you've done for me!" He excitedly said before he composed himself once more. "I don't have anything I could repay you with right now, but if you ever need something then please feel free to ask me for aid. I'm Shirune; Shirune Kinshiro, the Storm Rose Duelist. It's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance Ms..."

"I am Sylvia Survante. I am...a spirit medium..." she said, looking down. "I would require your aid at maybe a better time. I fear you have something...else to worry about." she said, and stepped aside.

Sylvia Survante. Shirune made a mental note to himself to remember the figure and face of the person who helped him, though it surprised him when she stated that she was a spirit medium. He heard before that there were those who claimed to have apt abilities in such a field, but he it hadn't occured to him that he could possibly encounter one here at the Academy. "A spirit medium..." He whispered to himself quietly before he let his attention return back to Sylvia. "That might be true, but don't hesitate to ask for help whenever you need it. After all," He said before he gave her a small smile. "You helped me out of pure generosity. The least I can do is return the favor." With that Shirune reverted his expression before running towards the Academy.

Sylvia watched him go, and then looked up at Lynia. "You can come down now, the water has mostly cleared." she said.

"Really? Thanks!" said Lynia as she jumped down and landed on all fours with her back arched like a cat would. "Ugh I'm still kinda wet" Lynia noticed as she had an urge to lick herself clean but, she was in human form so she held back. "So do you wanna go with Shirune? We can grab something to eat on the way if you're still hungry."
"I fear I would merely get in the way. I don't want to disturb the man. Anyway...I don't know any place to eat around this place...or what this place is for that matter...I'll let you lead the way."
