Truly a battle of the Gods Truly a battle of the Super Humans They were setting the bar They broke the bar they set, no question about it
The fans lucky to be in the arena, the fans at home watching The fans stealing illegal streams, who would've gladly shelled out the money for this one match... It was moments like this... As they all watched in awe as the God of Time was flipped over into the devastating, awe-inspiring.. Around the Corner.. It was as if it were in slow motion as the God of Time and the God of Punks flew off the turnbuckle As Chrono was drilled into the ring mat with what seemed like a thunderous explosion.
The very ring itself, the platforms, the set up all shook with the power move, the crowd all chanted 'Holy s**t! Holy s**t! Holy s**t!'
As the duo were in the ring, laying there, Chrono taking the most of the impact..

The Last Corner's Victims: 2008 - Freakshow 2009 - "The Perfect One" DJ 2013 - "The God of Time" Chrono Clepsydra
===================================
The entire structure did indeed shake from the impact, causing the arena to shake as well with a mighty BOOM!
The God of Punk landed in a sitting position from the impact, falling onto his back afterwards. The move was utterly exhausting to pull off, and he couldn't believe that he just landed it. No one could, not even the loyal fans he had.
The history of the move was that it always ended the match when it was used. Shanahan kept this in mind as he began to crawl over to Chrono, hoping to go for the pin... Until he realized that he couldn't! A pin wouldn't win this one; he needed to get into that Nest!
With a low sigh escaping his lips, Matt slowly began to push himself to his feet, powered by the "Shan-a-han!" chants echoing through the arena. Powered by his lost best friend. Powered by the woman sitting nearby at ringside. Powered by his desire to show the world that he wasn't done just yet.

Laying a twisted wreckage of blood, broken bones, and the God of Time laying in the ring motionless. Running to the apron, Yukari looked at her husband. "Get up..." she said as she slammed the apron with her fists "Get up... Get up... GET UP!" she screamed at the Tyrannical Behemoth. You're not going out like that.. Get UP! she said, screamed as continued to pound the mat.

The gaze of The God of Punks turned to stare at the wife of his tormentor of the evening. Nothing but a cold, heartless look was in his eyes. As Kelly King would put it, "Shanahan's heart is as cold and empty as a hospital room." That was clear in his eyes, in that moment.
He lifted a single hand up towards her, with four fingers held out. He kept his stare on her as he backed up to the turnbuckle once more, climbing onto it in a sitting position. Finally, he looked away from her to get a good grip on the scaffolding that was around the ring post, slowly beginning his climb up the steel beam.

With the fans roaring, with Yukari screaming, the God of Time couldn't help but open his eyes. His ears were ringing, there was blood on his eyes that dripped from his forehead, everything he saw was red.. His body was in absolute agony, as somehow willed himself to move his hand, and then he moved his foot. He caught a glimpse at Matt, and the ringing in his head from the move sounded like thisAnd if the audience couldn't tell what was going on in Chrono's head, the look on his face certainly showed it..

The arena was alive, despite how the two men fighting for supremacy were one concussion away from comatose. With every movement, a straining pain was apparent in Shanahan's facial expressions, but it didn't stop him from beginning his climb up the scaffolding. His ascent was much slower than anyone would imagine... One rung at a time, he tried to make his way up.
If he managed to get the steel mesh that hung above the ring, he'd begin to try to transfer himself to the other side of the scaffolding. But in the state he was in, that was taking even longer.

Wiggle your big toe.... Wiggle your big toe... he said to himself.. He wiggled his foot, after all he was wearing boots. 'Good..." he said as he sat up ominously, turning his head to face Matt. Getting up he stormed up and attempted to pull Matt off of the scaffolding on the ring post. "We're.. not... done..." he said breathing heavily. We....Are....Not....Done...

He was almost there... Just another step, and he'd be on the other side and on his way up the Nest's wall. Then... Victor-... Wait... Wasn't there something else...
Matt paused, realizing that something was missing. That moment of hesitation just cost him big, as he suddenly felt Chrono grab hold of his legs and pull him off! The God of Punks fell all the way back towards the center of the ring, his back smacking against the mat with a sickening thud. He nearly flipped over from impact. With pain written all over his face, he gripped his back and growled out loud; that was not a pleasant fall!
The fans were in utter shock. The Last Corner couldn't put Chrono away? What could?!

Waiting for the God of Punks to get to his feet, the God of Time's presence seemed to be intimidating He was truly a Behemoth to everyone, at this moment... He was towering over Matt.. I...Said... We...Were..Not....Done... Chrono said coldly as he was motivated by pure adrenaline, rage.. He attempted to kick Matt in the stomach, and grab if successful he'd grab God of Punk's arms Attempting to rotate Matt around, he'd attempt to nail another of his patented finishers to Shanahan. The ' Dial Down', his brutal spinning impaler!

"We're... Never done..." Shanahan managed to cough out as he begin to push himself to his feet. He wasn't scared, he had no reason to be. After all that he had been through tonight, nothing phased him.
Despite the stellar mentality he was managing to keep, pain is something no man can ignore for too long. The God of Punks remembered this immediately as he was kicked in the gut and pulled in for the Dial Down. Before he knew it, he was spun around once more and driven face first into the mat! Blood appeared on his forehead on impact, finally bleeding from his head for the first time all night, surprisingly. He bounced upward from the move, falling onto his side almost as fast as he had bounced to his knees. He was out again!

For those who noticed, chances are no one did Chrono's move sets were based off of rotations. Almost all of them... Why? Rather ironic when one thought about it... Rotation around the sun.. An indication of time... Seconds, Minutes, Hours, Days, Weeks, Months..Years... Tick tock...Tick...Tock... Tick tock... Tick......Tock...
The crowd roared in approval from the move that Chrono did, it was one they hadn't seen in a long time.. Much like Matt's Last Corner, there were only three victims... In 2007, Kelly King was it's first victim... In 2011, Mike Landry was it's second... In 2013 it was The God of Punks, Matt Shanahan..
What the ********!? What the ******** crowd chanted, how were these two able to do these moves? How were they able to get up? How were they able to do it... Drive and determination...

The massive brute of a man laid unconscious on the mat once more, yet again tonight. If he could wake up this time, most would consider it a miracle. He had used nearly everything in his arsenal; he had even taken some pages from Saint Joey's and Mike Landry's books, and it still wasn't putting Chrono down for good. The question wasn't "How to do it?" anymore, it was "Can it be done?"

Rolling his neck as he spun around, his stomach on the ground, the God of Time faced his adversary as he reached up as he attempted to grab Matt's head and lift it up slightly he wanted to see the unconscious look in Matt's face, the doubt... He saw it..
The doubt, how could this monster be brought down... He could practically feel it in Matt's mind.. How? Landry couldn't do it, Jed couldn't, Nuke couldn't, Cart couldn't.. No one could bring him down for good... He always came back, stronger, hungrier...
Letting Matt's head drop, the God of Time lifted his body up... He was hurt, that much was certain.. He staggered to the ring post scaffolding an started to climb it...

While Chrono saw doubt, he couldn't see anything else going on in Matt's dreamworld. For him, he reliving the moments that defined his career. The first Last Corner on Freakshow for the FFA:US Championship, the time he and Phoenixfire beat Landry (If only he knew how that spiraled out of control, he might've bashed in Landry's head with the bat and put a stop to it there.), the time he won the EEW Estremo Championship against the long forgotten Ryuu Sakamoto... Moments of glory, lost to the pages of time. Forgotten by many, as was much of Shanahan's career. But not this time. Not anymore. His path would either be carved firmly in history, or be lost on forevermore on this night. He had to win this. But first... He had to wake up.
The God of Punk's eyes slowly fluttered open, dazed windows of vision revealing the sight of nothing but the ring mat. His head began to tilt upwards to get a better view of the ring... And there it was, the thing he forgot earlier; the WWE:E Evolution Championship. A single hand lifted up and slid across the mat, beginning the process of pulling himself towards the belt...

Making his way up the scaffolding the God of Time looked at the display case.. The one that upon the placing of the championship in, the winner would be announced. Making his way up, he was now in the nest, the God of Time breathed a sigh of relief... He leaned his back against the platform and rested for a moment... Something was missing... Something was missing but what was it.. He couldn't place his finger on it... Then it hit him.. The prize... The WWE:E Evolution Championship, the title that he held for over a year... The title he created after he had blown up Matt the first time.. The title that made him the only, the first Undisputed Champion in all of Gaia... He need it to win the match... But he didn't have it..
He had wasted his efforts climbing up to the nest without it... Son of a b***h... He was too concentrated on bringing Matt down, too concentrated to continue on this match.. Too concentrated on a lot of things.. He shook his head and smacked his face ... Damn it.. He had to climb back down....
