In an attempt to flee this latest round of festivities, Blake found himself facing a wall of... balloons. What? Okay then... Popping them should be easy, right? He saw the other students going at it with gusto. It'd look a bit strange if he didn't. Not that he cared.
Melvin had decided to get out for a bit, and recent news had been that the Halloweeners were doing another festival. Wanting to collect a few more minipets now that he was promoted and had more privileges in the labs, he grabbed a golem and headed out with a few other hunters.
This time around, he wasn't as short, but seemed to be a black-haired boy with puppy ears and a tail. It wasn't the worst (again, at least he wasn't undead), but he wished he had something a bit better. The collar didn't help.
"Hey. This one doesn't look too bad." He said, glancing over at Rin. The game seemed straight forward enough and Melvin went up to look at the angry minipets standing there. When one talked, he had to back up a moment. Minipets weren't supposed to talk - which meant these two didn't seem to be exactly minipets.
"Right." He took his darts and took a breath. He was a gun-wielding after all. Accuracy was what he trained in.
After only popping one balloon, his tail dropped. "What?" He missed almost all of them!!

There was a short angry looking stag in tattered clothing with tire marks across his midsection following after the monster dog-boy. Presently, this was Rin. She was starting to miss life without boy bits. Though now she had the loss of control of her bowels... in that they wouldn't seem to stay inside her. She wished she had some duct tape right about now. Oh well.
He noticed the game Melvin pointed at and instantly lit up. Halloween sure knew how to throw holidays. This was much better than silly cards made of construction paper. He tried his best... and failed. But it frankly did not matter. "Another round?" he squeaked at Melvin in a far too girly tone for what was a mutilated boil.

Melvin wasn't too thrilled with how Rin's golem had turned out. Undeads were disgusting, and this tone topped the cake. It was something scrapped from the side of a highway, and it was disturbing to see it's off-colored insides hanging out. If Melvin knew how to sew better, he'd try and stitch Rin's golem up into more of a whole piece, but that meant it would have to touch it's insides. Nope.
"Sure." He said, rolling up his sleeves to his black hoodie a bit as he picked up another set of darts. "I think my aim is better than all this." He tried again and would up hitting two, but not getting any points. "Ugh." This game was SO rigged!

"Here we are!" Millie exclaimed. "This is my favorite game so far." Millie paused for a few moments, unsure of whether they should just start or she should actually show the horseman the ones who ran the booths and tried to eat fingers. The former was probably the better idea. "Uuhhhh.... the minipets that run the booth are a little grumpy, but they don't seem to mind handing out cute minipets if you get enough points. It's really easy, you just grab a handful of darts and hit as many balloons as you can." Millie gestured towards the balloons. "Try it out." she said with a grin, hoping to encourage Vaska to relax a little. In her excitement, Millie nearly forgot to add, "The black ones are bad though... Try not to hit those."
Rin would have let Melvin mend his golem, too, but for now it simply could not be helped. Everyone was just going to have to tolerate the rancid looking intestines for now. He looked to Melvin and smiled. At least his face wasn't as big a mess as the rest of him. He picked up an armful of darts and went at it with all the prowess he could muster. Doing much better this time put him in even greater sprits, "Oooh Yesss~"

He had no problem being led by the ghoul to the next booth, his gaze staring fiercely at the Whack a Poof game as they passed it by. But upon arriving at this booth... his gaze was dead set on the fluffy mini's that seemed to be manning the stands! He stared at them each in turn. So... fluffy... Though externally he showed no change, inside he was... slightly fluttering with delight. But he kept his hands from petting the poofy critters, though there was a touch of fondness in his sharp eyes. To say in the least, he was a bit distracted. But Vaska was able to catch the gist of Millie's explanation, giving the reaper a subtle nod to show his understanding. It was then that the game itself was taken into consideration.
Readjusting the fluffy fur he carried around to rest on the insides of his elbows, the darts were plucked up. There was a grave intensity in his expression, mouth straight, face solemn.
BOOM BOOM BOOM
Poising himself just so, he gave firm chucks of the little needles, only allowing his wrist to make quick flicks of movement to send them soaring at the balloons. For the sake of gaining a possible fluffy minipet of his own..! clearly... there was great determination in his face.
Rin just mopped the floor by popping nearly every pink balloon, making Melvin want to sink just a bit lower. Her accuracy was outshining his by miles, and he threw his own darts in hopes that after 2 rounds he had found his center.
He did not, and wound up going into the negatives, only managing to hit 2 bad balloons.
"I should be giving you Saliva." He told her, not wanting to say gun when he knew some halloweeners would be aware of weapons.
"Want to check out another booth?" Before he was shamed here again.

Rin flushed bright pink with excitement as she threw another round of darts - and managed to nail a bonus! She had no clue Melvin held any jealousy as she turned to chuckle at him at the Saliva remark, "Silly. Darts aren't anywhere near the same as... well... you even have to aim completely different!"
But he was in agreement about playing another game, he didn't feel like doing darts all day.

Maybe it was time to give this darts game another shot. Gabriel returned, with a vengeance. picking up the darts in one hand. He was going to try to aim, this time. That required.. closing one eye, right? And maybe, pointing the tip just a little upward so it sailed across just so and..
Gabriel was feeling really good about this game. In fact, he was feeling so good about it, he started to forget the rules concerning what happened if you hit black balloons.
Oh.. blacks were.. bad. Right. Gabby eyed the players around him, making sure they hadn't noticed his slip up, before he carefully aimed for the red ones, this time. For the most part, he succeeded. But really, he was just enjoying the popping sound they made.
When his last dart had flown, he stepped back to survey his handiwork. All the popped balloons looked so pretty and deflated.
