His shouting had ceased before the fireworks had stopped their popping, but he stood still long after, staring off across the courtyard as people returned, made tea, chatted. He was sorely tempted to tell the Tortoise just who had disturbed her precious leaves and berries, but he refrained. He wouldn't give in to his rage. What good would it do? He would make the most of this calm, before they were sent out to fight once again.

When the Phoenix arrived, he hung back, listening to what she had to say and how the others responded. The gardener might have been reluctant to unleash the power of this tome, but West was not. There could be only one king when all of this was through and if some relic could help keep the land of dreams standing, he didn't care what happened to the rest.

He started to approach Gene and those who had gathered around her, but didn't make it that far. "You. Um... Mot? Sorry." He ducked his head, fairly sure that this man probably ranked above him even though he had no idea what a chiropractor did. "Women's shoes. We should find some."

The tower they'd been in was.. gone? Well, it wasn't hard to believe. When he was there it was falling apart already. It was what had happened after he left that was new. A voice.. the voice? Asking about relics.

"Well.. I mean.. it beats sitting around waiting, right? What's the harm in looking.. But wait. Uh..." Mot rambled and fumbled his words, rubbing his neck and looking at his feet.

"Wait.. what do we do?"

Damien, the gardener, posed a well merited question. Humming in thought, the Phoenix exhaled and looked to the green tip-eared stone lion with a solemn expression to answer. Admittedly, the voice heard there isn't one I recognized. Yet the story it told I believed to be true. It didn't pose any sign of an agenda or allegiance to any King or concept; the voice in the depths just told. As if almost said before, and simply was retold for our sakes. Though of that, I cannot be positive.

... Levi stared back at Shun, momentarily speechless. I see you're mouth is fine, Shun. Smirking slightly to the Tiger, she then nodded in agreement to his conclusion. It's possible. If it has an alignment to our King as passed down from the previous, it's possible it hold great power for her.

Damien's inquiries once again were valid, but- at this point, it is only speculation. There was no sign of what had actually caused the Silver Kingdom to crumble. Nothing below told of any force that threatened the life there at any point. It said- There was once a True King. A single kingdom that fell to a perishing King. The King, however, did leave behind one relic to each of the current kingdoms. This is what this known. The Tome is of our Kingdom; something left behind with great powers of knowledge... and is a symbol for destruction. To assume it means our own destruction, one must also consider the exact opposite. Either way, it seems risks may be involved. Confrontation is imminent. Others who heard this will likely look for their own powers as well.

The offer of tea was just what the Tortoise ordered. Taking up the Tiger's offer, Levi indeed strolled over to take a seat on a stone bench where she allowed her tail/boa to ease down and fold into itself beside her. It was rather unorthodox to unravel her hair in public like this, but desperate times called for urgent reassessing of priorities. Undoing her hair ornaments one by one, she stopped momentarily only to sip at the offered tea from Gene. Thank you kindly. It is much appreciated. The warmth and sting of ginger stirred her alertness, and Levi was able to sit that much more sternly in her seat. It's wonderful, Gene. Ginseng did wonders to a female body; Gene knew just what to do.

"...W-women's.. shoes?"

Mot blinked.

"...fooooor?" He asked with an arched brow raised high.

"War is upon us, Damien. If our kingdom is to succeed, the rest must fall," Shun said calmly. He looked towards Levi, simply shrugging as she commented about his choice of words. But she was right. The tome likely held a number of risks. But there was one thing to keep in mind.

"We need to seek it out in any case. If we do not, another kingdom may try to lay claim to it. Though I have to say, if it did have something to do with Silver's demise... why did that king have our relic in the first place?"

It was something to take into consideration, he felt.

And then he heard Mot say something about women's shoes. Furrowing his brow, he turned towards him. What.

"The queen." He pointed. "You found some for the sister, didn't you?" West hadn't actually noticed when Riley had obtained footwear, but he had noticed. He'd also seen Mot hanging around with her a lot. Saved her from getting blown up and all that.

"You look like..." West waved his hand, casting a questioning glare at Shun when he looked their way. He wasn't going to finish that sentence.

Mot cast a look back at Shun, furrowing his brows as well. What?

His attention returned to West, about to answer him that a handmaiden had found some shoes. 'You look like..' ?

.....

"I look like... I'd know where to get women's... shoes?" Mot frowned. "A handmaiden found them last."

Terra had just handed over the box when she saw the queen-- "Honorable Phoenix, allow me to get you clothing and shoes," she said. "I have given Honorable--Gene--a box that I gathered on my voyage, if you are interested!"

Then she raced away at a stately, yet quite quick pace to go do her work. The questions could come from the ones higher than herself, she had work to do!

As more and more started to gather in the kingdom around them Spinar found himself awkwardly not feeling like the odd man out, though most of the belonging feeling he accompanied to the fact that Rosy was beside him like normal. Turning his attention back to Rosy he watched as she shook her head and remained silent. Rosy had been emotional since they were kids it was a part of her he didn't really understand but didn't question either. But now he knew whatever was of the Silver Kingdom had upset his friend.

"I think I'm gonna pledge my legions to this kingdom. I have my memories, nothing will take those away. I wanna be apart of this, as it just feels right."

Pledge her legions to this kingdom? Well. Spinar's gaze drifted from Rosy and he nodded silently. If that was the case there really must not be anything left, not his house, his things nothing? Not if Rosy was willing to call another place home. Home. Spinar hated to admit it but now he knew with the pain in his chest taking over that of his arm for a moment that he had formed an attachment to his bored, old, safe kingdom. Damn it.

"That's...probably not a bad idea." He spoke finally tone soft but still holding his usual laughter as he looked back to Rosy and leaned in to knock shoulders with her. About to offer a form of relief to them both through a game he paused when they were approached by another male. Blinking slowly he listened to the introduction but his eyes were distracted by the movement of the man adjust his coat. Etzer.

As usual Rosy beat him to the punch and he sat grinning and watching their exchange before putting a dramatic hand over his chest at her call of him being lazy. Laughing he offer his own greeting to Etzer, " Pleasure, she's right about the name at least, Spinar." A tip of his head was given before he snickered cheekily, "lazy, not as much you see she's always been jealous of my ability to do as much work as her with less effort." Laughing he gives Rosy a teasing wink then breaks his jesting gaze on her in favor of turning to eye the one that had news. Listening his body unintentionally locked up making his over all appearance do a one-eighty into tense rather than friendly.

The structure is now as dead as the city itself, I'm afraid. With the onslaught of other kingdoms flooding it's already crumbling floors, it has fallen in leaving a gaping hole. The females words echoed in his head as he fell silent a look of uneasiness flickering behind the cheerful blues as he turned to give Rosy a knowing look. So that was why. As he had expected but it was still, it was still. Spinar couldn't place a word for the feeling he felt since it was a little alien. But not good was a simple version of what he was feeling at the news of his kingdoms tower being nothing more than a hole now.

Hearing the question of their friendship he snapped back and laughed before grinning, "you could say that, she's been following me around since she could walk." Chuckling he finally rose up himself, standing a good six-foot now though slouching a little from the wounds he had suffered. It hurt to stand those weapons he had tripped over had created scraps and gashes in his legs along with the wound in his palm. Offering his good hand to the other he bowed his head in a proper manner. Eyeing the other he asked to casually keep conversation and ignore the questions springing to life about converting, "tell me Etzer what is it that you do here..?" Glancing over the man he couldn't really tell an occupation.

"Hm," he murmured. "That one?" West turned his finger toward Terra as the girl ran off. "And... no, I didn't mean you looked like you did..." He coughed.

"Tea." With the queen taken care of, he needed something else to take his mind off of death. West moved toward Gene and her pots, slumping on a stone bench nearby.

Demi couldn't fault Shun and his words, they did speak the truth. virtues went out the window in wartime. It still didn't sit right with him as he bit his lip from protesting further. "Granted, that is true." he admitted, balling up his fist into the material of his dusty pants. "We must get it back and handle it with extreme caution, there are many lives at stake." he warned before taking a cup and asking for a serving of tea to calm his own nerves.

Even Miss Levi seemed to go along with it, it didn't explain why he himself felt so anxious about it.

"Anything for you, dear Phoenix." She said with a smile, taking in some of the conversation that was surrounding the Queen. Oh, right...the Tome that Levi had mentioned earlier.

"If I may?" She asked, before she put her input into the subject. "If it is rightfully ours - which it is, because it sounds as though the Old King assigned it to our kingdom - then I believe we are to use it when and how we see fit. As for the fall of the Silver Kingdom relating to the seven objects....perhaps all seven are not meant to be in the same place? Or perhaps the Silver King was trying to do something he shouldn't." She took a sip of tea, and started making some for West as well.

"Would you like...gunpowder, sir?"

Was that a joke?

The gardener didn't get any of her rare wit, but a cup of green tea was prepared for him.

The glare and furrowed brow he received in return didn't phase the Tiger. But he just ended up dismissing West and Mot for the time being.

"That is possible. In which, we will have to take extra caution in the future. The one to take the title of the true king would have access to all seven relics."

Shun took another drink of his tea before staring down into his cup. Indeed. There were many lives at stake here. And he grimaced a little as he couldn't help but think about one in particular. Soon, the next kingdom was going to fall. He was confident that it wasn't theirs. However, there was that small seed of anxiety in the back of his heart that he couldn't completely shake, despite the fact that he knew he shouldn't.

"Do you ever worry about things that are beyond your control?" he murmured quietly, not asking anyone in particular. Shaking his head, he just tried to push it back to the side. The worry will remain, regardless if he saw her again.

[Entering from Labyrinth]

She'd actually made it back, alive and kicking it. Though, there was no denying that picking those darn flowers had been hard, extremely hard and now as Kaguya returned to the Red Kingdom, all she wanted to do was sleep for a week. However, she couldn't because she didn't know when that creepy voice was going to wiggle its way back into her mind and show her the nightmares she wanted to forget in her dreams. Ironic how, she was in the dream kingdom right now and that voice brought nightmares with it even here and blacken it’s pretty image.

There was also the matter of if Kaguya wanted to remain here in the Red Kingdom, pledge her alliance here forever. What if the Silver Kingdom wasn’t gone? It was hard to believe of course, she’d been there trambld to the ground while it fell, but a small sliver of hope kept trying to wrap her around the idea. Maybe it would be best if she remained a Silver citizen until Kaguya was comfortable changing, she was going to stick out in her drab clothing, but for now she still wanted to cling to her old self. She’d give the Red Kingdom everything she could in the meantime, if o course she survived the next few days.

Back in the Red Kingdom now, within the garden where they’d been announced the oh so good news, Kaguya found a secluded tree where she thought she wouldn’t be bothered if she decided to take a small snooze. No one could really get mad at her for taking a small break, she’d done the hard work, all the red flowers she’d brought back were a testament. Moving to the tree, Kaguya took a seat and leaned against the bark, eyes closing for a brief moment. That was all it took for her to fall into a restful sleep.
