Choking down a small chuckle, she grabbed at the final piece to her...headless caterpillar before shoving it into one of the boxes. Some children were going to be fairly disappointed with Santa's work here. Not that she cared, she would actually be quite amused to receive some of these things.
"Well, I think I better call it quits for now. I think the elves are ready to murder me for killing their JOY."

With the smiley yellow thing tucked under one arm like the one before, the black dog fished for the next piece. Only, what he sought and what he found were two entirely different things.
"Leaves? What is this supposed to be, a flower?" Why not? He already made a contract caterpillar and a rainbow lion thing. Why not a flower to top it off?

Lizzy decided to arrange the petals around the top of the toy head, hoping to pass them off as colorful feathers. She thought that she did a pretty decent job, seeing how she didn't have that much to work with.
Putting it with the other toys, she was then asked to stop by the elves; to be honest, she could do this all day.

This was going to be a lot of fun--she could just see it now. Since they were taking a break anyways, Xiu dug into her obi and pulled out her eyephone, pulling up her contacts list. "Do you think we can exchange numbers so that I can get in touch with you after all this?" She chirped, looking hopeful. It would definitely be a lot easier to meet up sometimes if they could text each other!
The compliment made the blush on the ghoul's face darken slightly, but she was grinning at Sophie, clearly very happy at the other ghoul's words. "Please do! I promise we'll give you a deal for being a regular." She winked, and then furrowed her brows thoughtfully. Favourite flavour of tea? "I like powdered green tea...but I think chilled, booberry fruit white tea is my favourite! It's a brew meant more for hot days than cold days though, unfortunately."LOLTERNATIVE XD AW same here lakfjahs <33 And it's time for me to go for the night ;; <33

Mort's attempt at cheer made its impression on Riley, but it was difficult to see. She reached for a toy head, the red one, for very obvious reasons, and played with it in her hands. That is my hope, as well. But I need to find him, first..
And a sense of guilt seeped into her heart. Had she really been trying? She'd asked anyone she could, but Sinclaire hadn't come back to check up on her in too long, and she assumed that woman would be her only hope. The only other choice was.. Arel.
Riley rolled her eyes, and sighed.
It's a difficult dilemma. She looked back up at Mort, and her head tilted softly. This is going to be an awkward question, considering how much we've already spoken. But, ah.. She held the head out and shook it playfully at him. What's your name?

Gene pieced together her final toy before throwing it in a box, giving the elves on hand a deal with it look.
And then she went and sat down, pulling out her knitting supplies to finish off Belladonna's scarf.

The little things were what mattered, he realized; it reminded him of the lilting bounces Bells did, the crooked grins and shoulder slaps from Alex, the pleasant tones of Sal's ever optimistic voice. "Well, if friend is in trouble, means can find easy - least, if still are magnet for it." Mort's smile grew as he initiated the disembodied head bumping this time - just a little thing, but a comforting gesture of sorts. It was the least he could do in return for the dangerous hope she had given him, that which fueled his growing spirit where something sullen had lied earlier.
He was embarrassed to note in his haste to confirm her status that he had forgotten his manners. "Oh! Uh. Mortimer McNeal, Mort is short," he introduced hastily. "Sorry. Yeah. We, uh, d-didn't really have chats 'fore your thing, so no worries there either. Was just the one time in the forest like...year ago or somethin'." Mort forgot to grab a piece this round because wifi hates him too he was busy thinking of what the heck to do with something so awfully smiley. It seemed like a perfect piece on its own after all - why, if it were more skeletal he could use it dramatically!

Apparently pink plushie bodies were attracted to Riley.
This was a disconcerting revelation.
Mort had a good point, though. She did still feel like a magnet for trouble. She had a brief reprieve, but she knew it would come again, all too soon. Perhaps then, her trouble would contain Jericho, and she'd be able to help him. It was something to hope for.
She bounced heads with Mort and then started to attach the body, sideways, trying to adjust it oddly. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mortimer. She chuckled out, clearly amused that she was getting the pleasantries done a little late. I'm not sure if you ever knew my name. But if not. It's Riley. He knew Mal, though, so her name was probably something he already knew. Where did you meet Malodore, might I ask?

Chuppi had never been to Christmas Town, not that she expected it to be any different, but it was cold - they had tasks to do, and she sort of just...went about doing things as she had to. It was easy to work among the elves, they were small like she was, and so the monster got started.
Putting together toys wouldn't be hard, right? At least that was what she thought they would be doing as they all stepped up to an assembly sort of machine, and even though it was a little taller than she was she managed to snag something off with her claws. Looking down at it the chupacabra tilted her head sideways, wondering.
It was odd to say the least but she still had two bits to go.

The first part had been some sort of yellow head thing, Chuppi wasn't sure if she she could it cute or....something, but she kept it in her hand as she moved on to the second part. It looked like this would be the body section, at least that's what she gathered from everyone else getting their supplies, and she jumped up and grabbed something.
Landing back down (carefully) she noticed it looked like...a bug? So a yellow head and weird bug body? What was she supposed to do with all of this? A frown slipped over her face, her red eyes looked a little nervous, but there was more to go. . .right?

This was the last part, at least for her first two (others were making many things, and so the monster grabbed what she could and hoped for the best. When she pulled...bunny ears(?) she didn't know what to do, she just had to combine everything (she supposed) and so that was what she did. The end result looked. . . interesting enough?
Chuppi wasn't one for toys, she'd grown up actually really practical, but she did her best to make everything look good and complete. Having sharp nails and small fingers meant putting stuff together was okay and easier than she'd thought. Perhaps it was time to make another toy?

"Maybe!" Tomoko agreed, trying to not let the lack of a head get to her and instead focusing on body-collection. Wow, had it been anybody else without context that might have sounded a lot more suspicious. However, she knew now that she just needed to grab and not worry about how it looked persay.
She'd just make it look nice no matter what, right?
Right.
So only once she'd grabbed a 'body' of sorts did she actually take a better look at it, flashing it up towards Jack curiously.

Chuppi was watching the others work, which was a mistake, because when it came time to get everything assembled she sort of....messed up and missed two of the parts. She was left with a stem, or something she assumed to be a stem, and her brow knit itself downward as she tried not to feel sad or ashamed or embarrassed. It was what she got for being too eager, so she thought and felt, and a hiccup was all she managed before she reached for her thermos.
Which happened to be empty.
This was not going to be a good day.

Maybe going slower, maybe paying more attention, was what Chuppi needed to do. It'd make her feel better if she could make another toy, or so she thought, though for some reason she'd almost forgotten why they were doing this? Maybe she was just joining in because everyone else was.
Also hadn't that elf said something about making toys if they wanted to make it out of there? She didn't know if she wanted to go back outside, it was cold and smelled really weird, but at least she could make toys. The object she'd grabbed off the first running chart turned out to be pink, as opposed to the yellow from before, and she squeezed it between her two hands,
Fluffy. Spooky.
