"Alright, I will." Breaks were probably going to be needed but Mitsu managed to maintain a steady pace without too many stops. Most of the day had passed them when it suddenly grew dark like it threatened to rain. Luckily they had started to make it into the foothills of the mountains and there were nooks and crannies big enough to accommodate them both and keep them out of the weather.
It didn't take them long to find a shallow cave and it was there Mitsu suggested they rest for the night. They didn't have much daylight left to work with and with the approaching weather it would be better for them to go ahead and make camp. Once their things were settled Mitsu stretched out across the bedroll ready to take a nap before they decided to eat something for dinner. She was tired after a long day and found herself still thinking about Ziggy. She knew the feline would be happier where she was. The acrobat cat had chosen it for herself but the lycan couldn't help but miss her. She had taken care of her for quite a while now.
It was after a lot of tossing and turning that Mitsu finally fell asleep, her body somewhat off the bed roll and the blanket barely covering her feet. Apparently on her own she wasn't a very calm sleeper.

The temperature was definitely dropping as they traveled on. Shun could tell that much. The cold wasn't too bad to deal with though. However, when it looked like it was going to start raining soon, it was time to seek out shelter. For awhile as Mitsu napped, Shun watched over her, lightly running his fingers through her hair. She was a lot more fidgety when laying by herself than when she was with him it seemed.
He certainly didn't recall feeling her fussing around when he had her in his arms.
After awhile though, he sat just outside of the little nook and began to meditate. He wasn't tired enough to sleep, but he figured he could relax himself this way if anything. It was quiet out here, and it wasn't too bad over all. It didn't take long for him to be in a sort of deep meditative state. When it did begin to rain, he didn't move, though he could feel it coming down onto him. It was more that he didn't want to disturb himself and though as chilly as it was, there was something about feeling the water hit him that helped him focus more in a way.

Mitsu's nap managed to last for a while and when she awoke next she didn't find Shun close by like she imagined she would. Sitting up she rubbed at her eyes to rid them of sleep looking around to find her reaper sitting at the mouth of the cave.
"Shun?" She blinked a few times to focus, her ears facing forward catching the faint tap of rain against the ground. As she stared a little closer she realized Shun was actually sitting IN the rain. "Ah, Shun!"
She scrambled out of the bed roll and moved to the front of the cave. The rain had made it even colder than before and Mitsu wouldn't have been surprised if it froze later that night. "It's freezing, you're going to get sick." She placed her hands on his shoulders to shake him lightly and pull him out of his meditation. This was not a good place for him to be sitting.

Shun heard his name, but he didn't react right away. It wasn't until she repeated it that his eye snapped open. Turning as she shook him lightly, he could now really feel just how cold he was. While he was meditating, it was easily dismissed, but now that he was done... it was harder to ignore. He blinked at the wolf girl for the moment before shuddering as he was soaking wet now.
"Right.." he said while moving further into the nook, "I'll be fine though. I just got a little wet."
When he started meditating, it had still be dry. And that had seemed like a good place to sit at the time. Though shortly after he had moved out of the rain, he paused before sneezing twice.

When Mitsu had placed her hands on Shun's shoulders she realized then he was soaking wet. With a frown she waited until he had scooted further back into the nook before she started to pull at his jacket. "You need to get out of these wet clothes."
She hoped he would be fine but when he suddenly sneezed her frown only deepened. "We need to get you warmed up before you really get sick."

The Reaper let out a sigh and nodded. There was no arguing that. He went on ahead and removed the soaked clothing, though he was pretty shaky in the process from being cold. Once he was done with that, he wrung out the extra water, and set them aside to dry out.
"I don't think I'll ge--"
His words were cut off with another sneeze. Sniffling, he groaned a bit.
"..Just the cold.." he muttered under his breath while bringing his knees up to try and warm himself up. His hair was still pretty wet, but there wasn't a whole lot he could do about that. As cold as he felt now, he still didn't think it was anything to worry about.

His wet clothing removed Mitsu brought up the blanket and wrapped it around Shun's shoulders and sat close trying to warm him up. She was a little warmer herself so many her own body temperature would help speed up the process. "I hope its only the cold." Though with the way he was sneezing she wasn't convinced. What would she do if he got sick?
"Maybe I should go look for something to make a fire with." Mitsu looked back toward the entrance and back out into the rain. If she was in her natural form it probably wouldn't be too bad. Her fur would protect her from the rain and keep her warm while she gathered some wood.

Shun furrowed his brow and held the blanked close to him tightly while leaning against her. He was still shaking a fair amount and he wondered if he should attempt meditating again to try and block that out.
"Anything out there is going to be too wet to burn. You'll get s-soaked yourself," he said, chattering a little towards the end of his words. Seriously. He didn't feel this cold when he was still sitting there zen'd out.
"J-just give me a moment. I don't think I'll need fire to warm up.. I have you.."

"I might be able to find something." Mitsu protested. She was starting to worry. He was shaking uncontrollably and she could feel how cold he was through the blanket.
Hesitantly she nodded though, giving him a little bit of time to warm up while he was next to her. She wrapped and arm around him and hugged him close to warm him up and sat that way for a while until she finally opened up the blanket and sat next to him so that he had better access to her body heat. "Y-you are really cold. A-are you sure you'll be okay?"

Shun nodded and nestled up against her to try and soak in her warmth.
"Yes. I'll be fine," he murmured as he closed his eye. He was concentrating on trying to ignore the cold, though it wasn't too easy now that he had felt it. At least he was mostly dry now, so it was easier for him to warm up.
Every now and then, aside from the shaking, he had to sniffle, thanks to the now running nose he had. He still didn't really think anything of it, and he just scooted himself closer to her.
"I'll be ready to go once the rain stops..." he uttered quietly.

She cuddled up close, wrapping her arms around him after pulling the blanket closed to retain their heat. It didn't seem to be helping much. Even with her extra body heat he just wasn't warming up. He was dry now thankfully but aside from that he was still sniffling and didn't sound very good.
"I don't think we're going anywhere." Mitsu said softly. "I...I think you might have gotten a cold." He kept saying he was fine but Mitsu felt that wasn't the case and the last thing he needed to do was exhaust himself while hiking to the middle of no where.

"Doubt it..."
He was in a bit of denial for having a cold. He felt cold, but he didn't think he was sick. It had been a long time since Shun had actually fallen ill from anything. Well. Food poisoning aside, but that wasn't quite the same.
After some time had gone by, he did finally begin to warm up, though his temperature was slowly rising to where he now had a fever instead. He continued to nestle up against Mitsu, closing his eye and resting, now that he actually felt tired.

Why was he fighting her so much on this? Was he trying to convince himself that he wasn't sick? Because he certainly wasn't convincing her. Regardless Mitsu stayed put until he finally started to warm up feeling his temperature start to rise. It was a good sign until it rose closer to her temperature and then went beyond it.
Turning toward her reaper she rose up a hand and placed it against his forehead and then removed it to place it against her own. Yep, he was warmer than her...even being her temperature was a bad thing for him. "You have a fever." He looked like he was tired now and Mitsu shifted out of the blanket and tried to coax him to lay down making sure he was tucked in nicely for the time being. It would take a bit for his clothes to dry and he would do better with a fire than sitting in a cold cave with the rain outside.
"Do you have any medicine?" Mitsu didn't have anything like that with her, only first aid needs.

Shun just let out a sort of groan as Mitsu moved him, coaxing him to lay down. He did so without struggling, but his movements were a little sluggish as he shifted down and was tucked in.
"Huh.. medicine..?" he mumbled before slowly shaking his head. He had a few bandages and the like, but no medicine. At least as far as he was aware. Keeping his eye closed, he just tried to relax himself. The Reaper just needed some rest. That was all.
He was still certain that once the rain was done, he'd be ready to continue hiking.

"Yes, medicine. Something for colds." She waited for a reply but when he slowly shook his head she looked discouraged. What was she going to do now? Placing a hand against his forehead she could tell he was burning up. Would rest alone be enough to help? They weren't really in the best of conditions to treat an illness.
Looking back toward the entrance of the cave Mitsu was hesitant. She wanted to stay here and tend to Shun but the best way to tend to him would be to get him medicine. Getting him medicine would probably involve a lot of travel back to town and Mitsu wasn't sure she wanted to risk exposing Shun to the elements. The other issue if she left him here...would be she would have to go on her own.
Sighing lightly Mitsu decided to give it some time. With any luck Shun's fever would break and with some rest he would be able to continue or at least head back to town where they could rest properly. "Sleep for now." Mitsu said softly, scooting closer and lifting his head up into her lap.
