Seize the day, we got moves to make... Daniel looked embarrassed. "I should warn you that my grandfather's nature... what I had to use to free you.... well, it has a somewhat embarrassing side effect of a massive appetite, and by massive.... well... let's just say that well... to some it's somewhat disturbing if you've never seen it before," he said wryly as he took her hand gently, well aware that the superhuman strength of his unusual nature was still active.

Seize the day, we got moves to make... Daniel tilted his head as he shifted, pulling out a case no thicker than three inches and no wider than six inches from behind his back somehow. "This may help; they're small in size, but surprisingly filling," he said thoughtfully as he opened it to reveal half inch thick, two inch wide cakes. They were made of a mixture of ground pecans, powdered mint, finely ground acorns, peach juice, and honey. He had made them with his own hands.

Nevaeh nodded absently as she continued cooking. Soon she had a meal that would normally serve seven people with leftovers. "Ok here you go" she said as she placed the food in front of him and sat down.

Thank you; you can try the honeyed mint cakes if you like," he said with amusement. He tried to keep his hand from rising to tuck the strands of hair that had fallen in her face, but failed miserably. He felt a tingle shoot up his arm as he tucked the strands behind her ear; he liked the contrast between the rose behind her other ear and her dark hair. He recalled that her hair, to most, appeared to be black, but he knew it was actually a very dark shade of brown with streaks of crimson and caramel in it.

Seize the day, we got moves to make... Daniel paused, looking up at Nevaeh in mild embarrassment before he started eating a little faster. "It isn't that I'm not hungry... it's just I don't want to look stupid in front of you," he said quietly. An amused voice came from behind them where a beautiful tanned redhead sat on the couch with a cup of honeyed tea. "That would be different how, from how you come off as usual?" she said with amusement. Daniel jumped, a bowl of rice landing on his head as he spun in the seat. "Did anyone tell you not to do that?" he said wryly. Joley looked highly amused. "All the time. It doesn't stop me from dropping in on a friend, does it?" she said with a laugh. "I'm Joley Drake," she said to Nevaeh.

Nevaeh sighed and stood, grabbing a napkin she managed to turn to rice bowl the right way and get it off Daniel's head without any rice actually touching or landing in his hair. She placed the rice bowel back on the table and Turned to Joley. "Nice to meet you," she said before turning and starting to clean dishes "I do wish your friends would stop surprising you though Daniel. Really, Pudding, glitter and itching powder, rice. I've had to clean enough off of you and out of your hair as it is." she chided softly grinning.

"That's my friends... they have a tendency to slip in and out with little notice at times, but other times, they're remarkably obvious," he said quietly. "You sound like Sarah, my older sister; she's only a few years older than me, though," Joley said with amusement. Joley shrugged as she giggled softly, watching the pair in front of her; they reminded her of her sisters, all of whom were married now.

Nevaeh smiled and wrapped her arms around Daniel from behind his chair. She rested her chin on top of his head. "Go on, eat up. You won't look any stupider eating than you did with glitter in your hair or butterscotch pudding on your face." she teased lightly as she tucked his hair behind his ear and traced along his jaw.
