Plus, I didn't have any crazy witch curse powers then either... Although, I've never really been able to get these damn wings to do what I want them to do. They always kick in when I'm on the brink, The meister relayed with a shrug.

Hmmm You might be right... Oh, yeah. I used to spar all the time. Well, not as much as my parents would have liked, but a lot. Haha, to be honest, I really don't like training... I mean, it's fun and all, but I hate getting all sweaty. Xuza walked over to where there was sort of an opening in the action, and turned around to Vivian. She swallowed, and said something she didn't think she would. Well... I guess there's only one way to find out what I can do with these things, right?

A confused look came to Xuza's face. She didn't get most of Vivian's references. Suppose she wasn't as gutter-headed.
Uhh... Yeah. Anyway, let's not, like, spar for too long, k? I really don't wanna get all sweaty 'n' gross. Xuza opened her wings and started looking around for weapons, since she didn't have a partner yet. She spotted a nice cutlass on a wall after a moment, and looked for a path in the smoke-light that would lead to it. It was harder to find in broad daylight, but she eventually found it, and brought the cutlass into her hand in a reaction that looked like sand concretizing into its original shape. Any rules, or anything?

Xuza smiled a little, a trace of nervousness in her face. She was always a little less than confident fighting an opponent she didn't know. Well, she did know Vivian, but not like the friends that she had grown used to sparring with. She took a step back and nodded at Vivian. Ok... I guess I can see what these bad boys can do, hopefully without getting too messed up. After a moment of waiting, Xuza flapped her wings a couple times and darted in toward Vivian for the first strike. She said that she was quick. Let's see.
Let's go! The meister exclaimed as she swung her lightweight sword down. Next, she would fall back and get on the defensive. Sort of getting warmed up.

Vivian smiled as she stood there as she rushed at her only to get a more serious face when she was attacking, Vivian grabbed her hat with both her hands and pulled down "bye" her voice muttered before she pulled it over her body completely disappearing leaving her hat where her shadow was. soon Xuza's shadow would carry Vivian(without a hat of course) she rose out only to have her head and arm out before snapping her fingers having her hand it engulfed in red flames, she then motioned her hand to throw which released a fire ball at her, when she attacked she jumped out of her shadow moving away from her regardless if she hit or not.

Xuza was needless to say confused. She never fought anyone that could move so fluidly, and not mention disappear at the drop of a... Well you know. The fireball was a bit too quick to dodge, so Xuza freaked out a bit. She put her right wing up over her face at the last second to stop the attack. After a bit, she would come out to realize that Vivian had moved away. What. Is. This?
That's... Ridiculous! The meister yelled at the ghost witch, stretching out her left arm in excitement. Her left wing went with it, and a strange, orangey-gold fog came rolling out. Hmm? Didn't expect this... Xuza took the opportunity to charge at Vivian, hoping that the fog would help her sneak up on her, but not really knowing what it would do for her. The fog would multiply her physical strength, giving her the ability to run a few steps faster than she did before. The mist also would make the shadows on the ground less clear. Vivian could still duck into the shadows, but who knows what we be the outcome of it. The meister took a few slashes at Vivian in vain, but kept an eye on the smoke-light pathways that were clearer in the curious smokescreen.

Vivian kept chuckling "hehe normally i dont ditch my hat..but..i know no ones gonna attack it" she said smiling only to notice fog coming from her "eh?" she looked around as she dashed forward but before the strike could hit Vivian noticed the shadow in the fog(not the ground) but because she noticed it to late she got cut a bit by the slashes "ow...i dont like this fog" she muttered before taking a deep breathe only to start screaming, the scream was a loud high pitch sound that would shatter any glass that had the full impact of the scream those who hear it would also feel a headache and at times become confused.

I did it! ... Oh crap, is she bleeding? Xuza pulled back a bit realizing that she cut Vivian. She really didn't wanna get too carried away. Then Vivian did something she didn't expect. She screamed. Xuza didn't think of that as a actual attack, and it surprised her almost as much as it hurt her ears. The meister drew back a few steps further out of the epicenter of the shout, and once it was over she looked up to see that her smokescreen was pushed away.
... Oh boy.
That move is... Interesting. Let's see how you like this! Xuza flapped her wings a few times, and the air around her began to wave and ripple. Then she tilted her sword so that the light from the sun would be reflected at Vivian in a little beam. The spot showed up on Vivian like a lazer targeter. Xuza waited for a moment to look for the pathway that ran through the light. Let's see if this works. Xuza punched at her blade, but instead of the fist colliding with the sword, it traveled the path at headed right for Vivian. It wouldn't be very powerful, but it was interesting nonetheless tactic-wise.

Vivian sighed due to the fact she heard her voice, it always sounded pitchy when she did it, it sort of distracted her until she noticed a light aimed a her "eh..." she looked at the light only to look at Xuza when she punched, he hit hit her but thanks to her ability to be in her own shadow she didn't get pushed back what so ever. she then dived down into her shadow moving quickly to the side of her popping out and breathing but black flames came out instead of normal, due to being black what ever they touched would remain on fire even the ground or walls and her if it hit, she might have went a little overboard but Vivian could always get rid of the flames.

After the hit landed, Xuza was able to grin a little with self-satisfaction. However, that didn't last too long as Vivian pulled out another one of her tricks. Black flames roared at the meister, and she went running, eyes popped out, all around the arena. She could see the pathways of smoke-light through the fire, which worried her a bit. It would seem that she couldn't see through magic energy. Eventually she found herself trapped in a circle of fire, probably from running in circles to get away from the strange blaze.
!!! Think Uriel, think!
Uriel family sword arts! The angelic meister shouted from inside the fire. Vivian might not have been able to see it, but at this point Xuza would begin to spin around with her wings extended and sword held upside down. Faster and faster she spun until the the walls of fire began to move, sort of waving gently at first and then building to a full cyclone of black fire. A few onlookers gathered to see what was going on in that dark whirlwind. Unfortunately Xuza's plan wasn't that smart. As she spun faster, the flames would draw in closer, according to physics, and eventually start to touch her wings. They stuck to them like the thighs of a fat person to leather seats in July, and burned almost as badly as the seat belt. Xuza threw her sword up in pain, and it pierced the top of the cyclone. Xuza's wings began to do something odd at this point. They sort of twitched. Apparently, they didn't like being covered with fire. The flames began to congregate onto the wings, ironically enough, and Xuza found herself standing there, wings ablaze.

Vivian watched as she began to spin her sword making a vortex but saw that when it was finished her wings were on fire "how..did that..make it any better" she thought in her head. "um....Xuza we can stop if you want.." she said rubbing the back of her head thinking maybe the wings on fire was a bad thing

Xuza stood there for a moment. Sure, her back was a little hot, but the flames had stopped burning her so intensely. She couldn't figure it out, but she liked the feeling of using her wings, and she was determined to figuring out how to master them.
Wait... Let me try something else. I almost have it. I know it. The meister took a deep breath and tried to flap her wings. They're... Heavy. Why is that? A strange black fog started to roll out of the meister's feathers, not unlike the technique she used before. But this was different. Like at the Diner the day before, the world around Xuza seemed to distort itself in the presence of this mist, although with a greater range. It looked a little like she was swimming in air, for when she moved, examining her hands and wings with surprise, the atmosphere around her would ripple and respond to those curious wings. What... Is this exactly? It feels like I'm flying.
