That spelled everything for me. The Meteorite was keeping him alive the entire time, and the moment we pulled the plug, it was only a matter of moments before he expired. It hurt, seeing a child go like this. I had just about gotten a reputation of sorts about being a savior to children of all kinds. A lesson was learned today that sadly, I can't save them all. I gave a sigh, a pretty regretful one. "Come on, Sub. There's nothing left for us here." I said.

The Durant was blasted by the Hydro Pump, sliding backwards from the attack, Shaan glaring at the Snagems as they arrived. "Leave now, it will be less painful." He told them, his body glistening and giving off a silverish aura, he then released his other two Durant, three in total. "Defend this land." He told the Pokemon. The Durant would then rush towards the Snagems and their Pokemon, one of them going at Rain with a Bug Bite, another going at Talon with a Thunder Fang as Shaan threw it at them, and the third using another Metal Sound to distract the enemies.

"What's that? A threat that things will be less painful?" Sol asked. "I'm afraid I don't subscribe to that philosophy. I've been much too entrenched in a crazier philosophy to care about yours for more than five seconds." Though, Metal Sound did have a way of shutting him up, he and Swampert none too thrilled by it.

Swampert soon sent an Ice Beam in retaliation, trying to better approach the land.


Despite the assault being given to all ears in a several mile radius, Xipil let out a roar. Amaranth winced in turn, really starting to dislike this. Noticing her ride about to move, though, she held on as tight as she could.

A few seconds later, Xipil cloaked himself in flames and went to try divebombing onto the island. Barrier or not, the ensuing Flare Blitz was unlikely to be pleasant.


Ceramew screamed in response to the Metal Sound, but continued to try approaching the island. "A bunch of sounds isn't going to stop me..." She huffed.

Through constant urging, Jude attempted to keep Sol's Volcarona in as innocuous a position as possible relative to this new threat. A shrill keening nearly shattered the facade Jude kept, that things might just go off without a hitch, and he shoved fingers in both his ears in hopes it might help. Engaging with Resix and Yellosix was dangerous, but even Jude had been able to tell whether an assault could be viable.

Here, he had no chance and no interest in getting in the way. Or, getting in the way just yet.

The wall was hit by Xipil's Flare Blitz, not shattering but a dent forming which began to glow red hot, like steel heated up. The Brick Break would also dent the energy wall, furthering weakening it. Furthermore, the Durant were washed away by the water attacks, the Steel Channeler just sighing as they were. "I gave you every opportunity to escape unharmed, this is your fault." Shaan said as he got into a fighting stance, glaring at the Snagems' Pokemon. He would then take a single step forward and punch at the air, releasing what appeared to be energy in the shape of his fist, moving at a quick pace, straight at Pikachu. He then punched again, this one at Rain. Should they hit it would feel like getting slugged by a metal rod, as the energy fists were as hard as steel.

The Durant weren't going to take that lying down either as one speedily leaped into the air at Volcarona and Jude, looking to bite on the bug as it executed Aerial Ace. Another moved to attack Swampert with a Crunch attack, as it rushed for. The third attempt to tackle Pignite as it rushed forward quickly with Agility.

Back with Sub and Blizz, the island which the others were fighting on would soon come into view, the trainer calling out to his friend. "Should be right up there according to my SNAG, I think the others are fighting by the looks of things, better hurry."

"Looks like we are going to have to help them, the source is coming from the inside of that Steel chi cover over the island. Looks like they are fighting a channeler, a meteorite empowered one, great." Sub sighed.

"More of this meteorite crap!?" I asked. "Beautiful. I swear, once this is all over, I'll be sleeping all of this off like a baaaad hangover. Any rate, it's probably a good thing I brought Typhlosion and Psy with me for this one." I said. "We're probably going to need it."

Nusku was one to move back, but this didn't save him from the Aerial Ace. He faltered for a moment before regaining his composure, with or without Jude. Being one to retaliate after such an assault, his wings began to flap before unleashing a Heat Wave should the offending Durant try to get away.

Swampert was hit as well, but Sol was ready to strike. "Excuse me. No hitchhikers." He said as a Flamethrower erupted from near an open palm, threatening to roast that Durant too.


Xipil bounced off the barrier as he crashed, nearly throwing Amaranth off in the process. She managed to hold on, if only barely, as the Charizard got his bearings back.

"I...I'm fine." She spoke up afterward, though she really wasn't liking this kind of flying. Bracing herself again, Xipil went to dive upon that spot again. No fire was used this time, however.


"Give it over!" By now, Ceramew looked dead set on getting to the chi she was sensing, going after Shaan at once.
