Twila tilted her head to the side. "Dose the principle know there's a grumpy drunk guy teaching kids fighting?" She asked

Logan growled as Jean laughed. Hank chuckled as Akumi snorted a laugh out. "Very funny... let's see ya handle my trainin`, then ya can talk about it," he growled. "From what I've heard, you've been everything from a soldier to a bounty hunter to a cage figher," Akumi said blandly. Logan's head snapped around from where he'd glared at Twila to Akumi; he knew few other than the X-Men, and even then few of them, knew about his former cage fighting career. "How the hell do you know that?" he barked, the sound like the snarl of a large wolf. "Your hands are scarred, though it isn't noticeable on your knuckles and backs of your hands, and you only get that kind of scarring through hard manual labor like logging or cage fighting," Akumi said idly, missing the slight flinch that came from Logan at the mention of logging. [If you can notice the subtle movie hints, feel free to mention them]

Twila frowned abit when Logan seemed to be getting more and more mad. ' He shure gets mad....maybe we should stop jokeing around before he decides to give detention... that's what teachers do when kids are bad right? ' she thought then wondered if they did give detentions here.
(Yep I get the movie hints smile )

Logan rolled his eyes before turning away with a ragged sounding exhalation before he walked away. "He's a lot like a big teddy bear, once you get past the rough exterior... he's very protective of the girls around here, like Laura, his daughter," Jean said with amusement, obviously fighting back laughter, though she smiled faintly at Twila's thoughts. "Let's go upstairs, and I'll show you your rooms, though I don't know how close you'd want to stay since you two only know one another," she said. She glanced at Hank, nodding slightly to something, though she noticed Akumi taking a swig of the beer before he tossed it aside at the wall where it shattered. "Blech.... how the hell does he drink that mess? I've tasted gruel that was better than that," he muttered audibly, making a bad Oliver Twist reference.

Twila giggled at Akumi "Well what did you expect? Pumpkin juice?" She said useing a Harry Potter reference. She stretched her wings out abit sence keeping them close to her back was makeing her back too warm.

Jean blinked, amused at the banter. "I swear... Fae blood would taste better than that," Akumi muttered, referring to 'True Blood'. Jean blinked. I wonder how they know pop culture... and what does he mean about that reference? (I'm seeing this in my mind as occurring before the 'True Blood' series ever revealed the Fae blood effect on the vampires... lol))

Twila looked confused by that reference. "Why would you want to drink fairy blood? And how would you get enough to drink they are really small."

Akumi blinked. "Not always," was all he said. Jean walked to the door, glancing back at the two young mutants. Akumi cocked his head slightly, a momentary frown flickering over his face. "Yeesh... what a pain in the a**," he muttered under his breath, not realizing he was clearly audible. It was painfully obvious in that moment he was all too used to being alone in more ways than was pleasant.

Twila looked even more confused about the size of fairy's. "Ok..." she said. She looked at Jean remembering she was going to take them up stairs. "Ops...sorry..."

Akumi shifted his weight, noticing Jean looking at him with a slight frown before she smiled at them. "It's okay... patience is one thing I have in abundance," she said cheerfully.

Jean laughed. "Logan's not too bad, really... he's just stubborn," she said as she walked through the doorway. Akumi paused as Hank spoke. "Perhaps later we can run a few tests to see what your full powers are," he said thoughtfully. He cocked his head. "That's fine; I'd rather know my limits than not know 'em and end up getting someone hurt," he said quietly. He saw Jean looking at him with interest, as if she liked him.

Twila giggled abit. "This shure is one really weird school.... though its a lot more awesome then other schools..." She looked at Hank when he said tests. "Is there a spelling test? I can tell you now that I'm going to fail it..." she didn't hear what he said exactly, just something about tests.

Jean giggled. "You get used to the 'strangeness' of the school, and we usually do those sorts of tests at the local school; I can say from experience it isn't too bad... though some of the students can be rough with new students," she said with a sigh. Akumi cocked his head slightly. "So other than training mutant powers, this is basically like a massive dorm for mutants," he said dryly, his tone blunt. Jean flinched slightly. "I guess that's a fairly blunt way of putting it, but in many ways, yes," she said wryly, sounding like she was fighting back a laugh.

"That's kinda why I hate schools..." she mumbled remembering going to school and the kids there. Never trust little kids with glitter or glue... (Or sissors.... a kid cut another kids ear in my elementary school.... O.O)
