“Maybe this is me being a total moron, but why the hell would the Negaverse even want to work with Ares after what the BMC did to some of their own?” Ganymede piped up again, his face twisting in confusion. “That really just makes it seem like they don’t give a s**t about their people or what they’re forced to go through, though with the way crazy knight lady was raving about the Negaverse earlier I suppose that’s not at all surprising. Still… It just seems way too dangerous a thing for them to do. If Ares decides to turn on them, they’re ******** didn’t get it. Unless the Negaverse hated the Senshi so badly that they were willing to ally with someone who’d previously tortured and killed them, or led others in torturing and killing them. He would never in a million years even think to feign a trust in someone like that. It wasn’t worth it the risk.
Ganymede glanced at Tsui as he listened to her speak. “I can’t say I like the idea of killing, and I’ve already given my opinion on purification and you’re all welcome to disagree with me on both, but splitting the alliance seems like a decent thing to try out. I mean, it can’t be a very sure thing, can it? I’ve always thought trying to encourage some sort of infighting in their ranks would make things a lot easier on us. I mean, look at us…”
They were more or less the prime example for that sort of behavior, though he had a pretty good feeling it would be much, much worse among a group of people who were expected and even required to follow orders.
"Uhh... yeah... what that cat just said..." he finished, jerking his thumb in Pravoski's direction.

"There's a saying, 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend'", Tsui said to Ganymede but also to the others in the room. Now, she had no idea WHO had said that, or when it was said, but the quote seemed self explanatory. Curse school, actually effecting her subconscious and making her remember the most random details. "Maybe that's the mindset they had when they made their alliance? Who's to say the same can't work for us?"
Tsui had taken comfort in the little cat's words, and it was hard to fight down the instinct to want to snatch it up and snuggle him. It would have been both distracting and probably demeaning to him, especially after he had made such a good point.

Niflhel's eyes watched as the room spun into a rather darker subject. His eyes landed on Zirconia. ".... Ares isn't the type to give up without a fight."
there was a long pause as he thought, "She's likely to take those with her that are as strong headed and willed. Despite the downward fall she's taken herself, her followers I doubt will want to be purified willingly.... we've already heard it's very dangerous to try and purify the unwilling...."
Here he frowned heavily. "I don't know how well turning pawns against pawns would work but given the chance I'm sure Ares' will do something to anger the negaverse if given the time..... We will need to work on that together."
---------
"Hi Hygiea!" It was probably the last chipper thing Hug-bell was able to get out...
Hug-bell stood there listening and suddenly followed Zirconia until she stopped, making sure to drag Hygiea with her. There was a visible pout when the cat started talking. "You're not going to leave me for them are you?" She asked, making sure. "What if they force you to be one of them?"
She was caught up for a moment, in the worry of not having her cousin.... the child decided to cling to the cat-woman and probably would have to be pried off. Her eyes were closed until she heard another cat speak. It was like an idea had hit her. "I know of one. His name is Wolframite. When we first met he tried to kill me because of them." Her eyes shifted over to Iris who had saved her from that night. "I could try to approach him." It had been a while, but Hug-bell was willing to take the chance.
"Probably they're working with her because they're forced to. It was already said they follow a Queen. I wouldn't be surprised if she makes them work together for whatever her grand plan is." Hug-bell thought they'd already established that the negaverse was brainwashed and followed a queen maybe someone missed it 'cause it sounded like it was coming from that rather grumpy group...
"They're probably too afraid to fight within their own ranks anyways who knows what sort of trouble they would get into."

Ganymede perked up a bit as the conversation continued, eye-ing the Chibi senshi he'd seen a couple of times before. “Wolframite? Eye-patch and cute boots, right? I talked to him maybe once… or tried to, at least. Can’t say it went very well. Don’t really blame him for being crazy if he’s one of the ones who got tortured, though. Still, that would probably be pretty dangerous for a Chibi to try on their own. Some of the Negaverse officers don’t seem to care how young a Senshi is when it comes to using them or attacking them. I mean, obviously.”
They had gone after a summer camp, after all. And if he'd actually tried to kill her... well, it probably wasn't such a good idea.
While he happened to like letting the smaller Senshi try their hand at Senshi-ing, he didn’t like the thought of them going in to something they might not be able to handle on their own. He had Oberon to think of now. He didn’t want that brat getting any ideas from this girl and running off to try them without actually thinking it through first.
“As for them getting into trouble, it might not matter to them in the end. If they’re willing to risk their lives for the cause and ally with Ares, why wouldn’t they be willing to risk their lives while fighting against it if they ever happened to change their minds? It’s just a matter of actually changing them, really.”

"I've talked to him... General Wolframite..." Valhalla offered as well, having developed enough respect for the young man to include his rank. "He didn't seem all that horrible to me. Or maybe he just didn't feel like offing a Page the night I ran into him. He gave me some change for a drink. He was pretty angry about what the BMC did to him and the others... He was also pretty determined to let me know that he would readily sacrifice himself for 'the greater good,'" he said with an emphasis on the last words as an indication that he wasn't so sure he agreed with whatever Wolframite thought was 'greater'.
It was easy to recall that night as it had been on the verge of storming, and he and the Negaverse general seemed to agree on the fact that neither of them wanted to be controlled by some mysterious Moon Queen.
"I know it's not exactly the topic... but is there a Queen of the Moon out there? Are we supposed to be looking for her? Because the General was pretty certain that that is the goal of most, if not all, senshi. He told me he 'doesn't want history to repeat itself'... Does anyone know if the Negaverse have memories of the past like senshi and knights do?" he asked suddenly, knowing that some knights only had their ancestors and not necessarily memories, but it was shortened for the sake of simplicity. "Is it possible that our memories and history books, as Virgo mentioned earlier... are wrong? Well, okay... not wrong so much as... interpreted for our benefit? Or maybe this Queen of theirs is... feeding them lies to make them believe that we want to take over? Why can't we focus on trying to convince them otherwise? Wolframite was a lot more forthcoming when I told him that I didn't have any desire for a Queen of the Moon taking over."

“Well, Earth was the one sending knights throughout the universe, weren’t they? If that’s the case, it just seems more likely that Earth would have been able to take over everyone else easier than any other planet, moon, or star could have,” Ganymede observed. “I mean, if they had that much man-power that they could just offer people up to other worlds, why the hell should anyone have to worry about the freaking moon?”
He left “it isn’t even that big” unsaid, since size didn’t always matter—he was, however, fairly confident that his own moon could have put up a very good fight if it came down to it.
The topic of the Moon Queen was an iffy one for him, as had previously been shown. As far as he knew, she didn’t even exist, thought she might have at one time. To him, she seemed to be the core of their problems with the Negaverse—aside from the fact that they were all brainwashed by Chaos—and even if she had been around he couldn’t have said for certain if he would have wanted her there, no matter what sort of mythical powers she may or may not have had.
He liked Earth the way it was before he’d realized there was even a war going on in this very city. He didn’t want anyone—not creeps from the Negaverse or a Moon Queen he didn’t know—to come in and try to change that.
“Sort of on that same topic… what makes the Negaverse think it’s a good idea to let Ares have the rest of space? Didn’t someone say that’s her objective? So the Negaverse wants Earth, and she wants space, but space is huge so the DMC would then have the advantage against a puny thing like Earth, wouldn’t they? What’s to stop her from coming after it after the fact? I hope they’ve considered that, otherwise they’re just… dumb. So dumb.”

Zirconia wholeheartedly agreed that allying with Ares was a stupid thing to do. What she thought-- no, what she was sure of-- was that both parties were only thinking in the short term, and she was more and more certain with every new flaw people thought up.
The uncorrupted were hurdles for the Negaverse, whatever their ultimate goal was, corruption fodder for Ares, and enemies to them both. An obvious short term strategy would be to eliminate one enemy before turning on the other.
"They're both focusing on us, because if they wipe out the side of Order, both of their jobs get easier. But even the most powerful queen can't fight a war when her army turns against her. I believe that they are both looking at this war in a shortsighted manner. I think it's obvious where I stand. Think of a way to turn their attention the the long term problems with their partnership. Make them rip out their own throats."
She was very proud of herself that she had regained her businesslike composure that she totally had all the time. Totally. Although to get to this point she had to blatantly ignore her host's small cousin clinging to her, and deny the fact that there was still quite a bit of affection in her heart for Ares. But while Zirconia proudly called herself Black Moon, love for Ares was something she did find shame in, and wouldn't admit it in front of this crowd.
"But... as for purification... I don't... I don't know if that's possible," She said, in a somewhat quieter tone than before. "I don't even know how she's making them. They might be an illusion. They might be more run of the mill than I'm thinking," Smoke and mirrors and all that. It was a hopeful thought, and maybe not as big of a stretch as she dreaded.
"Of course we may be missing something and they have something else up their sleeve. But Chaos is always hungry, and is rarely very smart about it." Bias bias bias. But bias with some experience in the matter.

All the talk of Ares was making Kallichore's skin crawl. As much as she'd vowed to cut down on her blatant violence, the thought of ripping the Princess of Smoke's throat out of her neck was thrilling to say the very least. Ares was her idol, her mentor, one who showed the fledgling Madness Senshi strength and courage and drove her to be the senshi she was today. But since the Smoke Senshi's descent into Kallichore's realm of insanity, the eternal vowed that there was nothing to be saved, just as Zirconia had explained. Kallichore trusted them, trusted their opinions and learned from their experiences. Her brief time in the Blood Moon Court taught her quite a bit about what it meant to drift too close to Chaos.
Kallichore had spotted Albali in the confusion of the room and gave her a polite and respectful nod of the head. Turning back to her fellows, the Jovians, she murmured quietly. "Lesath I've met. Leto and Requiem were one of us once. Ares threw them through a mirror before my eyes, called it up from the ground with a power I've never seen before." The gray haired senshi shifted in her seat, almost uncharacteristically uncomfortable. "She was baptizing them, and when they came out, they were never the same. What's she's done to them... I'm sure the first were against their own will, but Ares has a way of twisting words to suit her needs. I have no doubt she lures them in and corrupts them that way. It's sickening."
She sighed, crossing her sleeved arms over her bare chest. She felt cold then and frowned. "Ares is without redemption, but if we can cause chaos within their ranks, disillusion the Dark Mirrors with their leader, maybe then we could make some headway. Pit them against each other. Maybe call some memories of their past selves back."

The more he heard about Ares, the more Ganymede questioned which Negaverse officer it had been who’d come up with the insane idea to somehow work alongside her. One of the higher ups, probably, if there were people within the lower ranks questioning the decision. That was a heartening thought, at least—that there might be a few among the Negaverse or the DMC who didn’t care for the alliance or had second thoughts about it and could somehow be used to foil it.
Who knew what a few well-placed comments might do with any sort of contention in the atmosphere. Trying was worth a shot.
“Quand on dîne avec le diable, il faut se munir d'une longue cuiller,” he muttered to himself, and then said for the benefit of those around him, “If you’re gonna dine with the devil, you better bring a long spoon. Someone like Ares is bound to turn on them at some point. I say we use that and any conflict that might be in their ranks to our advantage. There might not be a lot of it considering how they operate, but even a little might benefit us. Would anybody disagree with that?” he wondered, glancing around at those closest to him.
After everything, he couldn’t expect a unanimous decision to come out of anything—nor did it matter if there was one, since a few of them could always try it anyway, no matter what some of the others thought—but there didn’t seem to be too much disagreement on the topic yet. It could always come in time, of course, and he waited for the moment when the “insane” and “suicidal” barbs started coming again.

"That could work," Aster said, having snuck back into the meeting after chasing down and chatting with Lina Knight. She was loud as ever, but this time everyone had the pleasure of being able to deal with her while she was high as a kite, so bolly for them! Of course, that she was stoned (as anyone with a nose around could tell) may influence her opinion on the matter a bit. "It could be playing with fire, but there's some like, logic to it and stuff, man."
Her eloquence tended to take a hit as often as she took a hit.

Hygiea followed after Hug-Bell, sticking close and with equal worry. Hearing the lilac haired girl talk about Zirconia leaving didn't sit well in her head, and made her think of Dahlia. And then made her think of the two male bad senshi she had encountered. Some of the older senshi seemed to have similar run ins with those two as well, though she couldn't be sure with her terrible memory of names.
"I ran into some of those bad senshi," She spoke up with a wrinkle of her nose. "One even seemed to think the side he was on was the right one, that I was wrong and stuff... he was smiling the whole time and was trying to be nice." Sure, the little senshi was leaving out that she had been the one to shove him, but they didn't need to know that. Her little gloved hands went to playing with the limbs of her little cat plush again, her mouth pulled into a frown.
Stupid Chaos. Stupid people trying to side with it and think it was right when they were hurting people. Her orange eyes found Hug-Bell again as the others were talking about trying to talk to the Negaverse agents, "I don't like how you wanna talk to someone who tried to kill you..." she told her friend, "but everyone does seem to like just talking and stuff instead of fighting... maybe it could work..."
The rest of the room seemed to be abuzz with the idea and running with it anyways.

Still in his corner, Kailash continued to ignore Iris' incessant yelling, his head still pressed against the wall behind him. His eyes rolled before turning into narrow slits upon hearing the name of that frilly little pirate Negaverse Agent.
The name didn't sit well with him, not after almost having his star seed taken by him twice now. No, the Page was not fond of the boy and he could only hope they weren't planning on something stupid with him. He sighed.

"It's a dangerous move, but I'm eternal now... plus" She looked towards Iris and then to Zirconia, "We could arrange it so I had back up. It wouldn't be as bad. I'd say I could talk to Schee, but he's against the whole fighting thing, I think we could save him." Her yellow eyes were focused on Hygiea as she spoke listening to bits and pieces of the conversation at hand.
"It's not like I don't know what to expect this time." She added, "I'd be ready for him to try it again."

The DMC. Acubens knew her place, she knew where she belonged, but something in her heart still pulled violently at the thought of the court she still longed for. And now... now they were plotting against her family? It made her stomach twist violently, like she wanted to throw up a little. Remarque, as good as her brother... Lesath, who might have been her lover in another life... and Leto, the first senshi ever to show her kindess, chaos or not... Could she... No. She couldn't just let this happen to them. But... she couldn't just betray her own kind...
She'd have to try and stop this from even happening...
"I for one have never been attacked by anyone from the DMC, and find them to be a valuable source for information. They aren't bent on attacking us, but more 'saving' us. Why should we attack them? Why not use them for more information? Hell, use me? I know three both as Acubens and as a civilian. Let' snot fight them. At least not yet. Not when they can be valuable assets when it comes to information."

Tsui was a little surprised to hear Acubens, or anyone, openly admit to knowing them personally and being comfortable enough to admit it with a room full of, well... enemies of the DMC. And despite her own issues with the DMC, she couldn't help but acknowledge the balls this Acubens had to be able to come out and just admit to this in front of everyone.
"Well, we sort of got our insider," Tsui said, keeping her thoughts about Acuben's friendly stance with the DMC to herself as it was simply not her place to question. After all, she sort of made a truce with the Negaverse General; what right did she have to judge Acuben's for having a similar situation with the other side. "If you're willing to share what you do know that would be helpful?"
'Here's hoping no one here eats this girl up... I'd hate to be in her shoes.'

Niflhel was staring at Acubens, it was like he wanted to say something.... but he couldn't think of how to word it. Instead he just sighed and stood watch waiting to make sure no one would try and pumpel the girl in front of him.... They'd have to talk later.
------
Vic paused he was quiet content to stay quite until Acubens said saved.... then he awkward penguined his way into the conversation. "Um.... call me stupid or crazy..... but how in the world are they 'saving' us? I mean.... maybe I missed something but to me it sounds like turning to their side is only saving us from being killed by them.... And if the crazy purple-haired cat lady over there is right about the whole Chaos sickness thing. I'd uh rather not...."
Actually he sorta was looking at Iris wondering what kind of socket she was going to blow.
