As she started to feel the ground shake Lumikki winced, grabbing the box tighter and holding a strap of the backpack. Which left the DETH banner to flutter down as the caves glowed,

TG was minding his business. He wasn't snooping about boring offices, hiding in dirty cubby spaces, or opening lockers (though he was interested in treasure). Nope. He was walking in the hallway while listening to D-pop (Demon Pop) on his Eyephone while playing Plants vs Humans. That was when he was blinded and rose his claws to black whatever dork had just tried to take his picture. This did nothing, and the light seemed to blind through his claws and eyelids.
"What the Jack?!"

"No problem! It's nice to meet you, Yin." His cheer faltered for just a moment as Yin spoke of her love of scarelings, of the aspirations that she wouldn't get to meet. "It sounds like she was really nice. I wish they were all still...um." He frowned. There wasn't really a good way to put it. "Around." Good enough. At the inquiry about his own locker, he stepped closer to it, reaching to open the door again. "Taru? Yeah, she was... a kitsune." His eyes lit up. "She was nice, too. I think she wanted to help everyone feel equal and wanted and stuff." He felt a little bad, not knowing exactly what she wanted to do. Maybe the book would help him...or something else in the locker. He didn't want to be rude, but Taru's locker was near enough to Octavia's that they could still speak to one another without shouting, so he quietly began poking through it again.
