Pink brushed across Danny's cheeks as she began to unfold her own napkin and silverware, trying to ignore the warmth beginning to grow. "Thanks," she mumbled, taking her drink and sipping a bit of it, her cheeks still pink. "So how long exactly has it been since you've been out to a restaurant?" she inquired, taking another sip of her drink.

Danny's head tilted thoughtfully at Alexander's answer. " 'The Raven's Wing' , huh?" she asked, looking at him with curiosity. "It sounds like one of those kind of taverns you would find in movies. You know, like old ones," she said, running a hand through her bangs.

He looked up as their waitress approached with their food and made it a point to give his thanks and say no more. He didn't want to encourage her cold behavior towards Danny. It didn't seem to work though, as the waitress simply plopped her plate on the table and left.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Danny smirked at Alexander's answer and looked up, thanking the waitress as she left them their food. "I wonder what's got her all worked up..." she thought out loud, kind of grinning on the inside. Before Alexander could continue the topic, Danny changed it to something she wanted to ask about. "So I've been wanting to know how you manage to use the elements like you did back at the shop. How exactly does that work? It was amazing, but I couldn't figure out how you... use them. You know, like how you gathered a ball of water in your hands?" she said, using her hands to demonstrate Alexander's motions from before.

When he was done it gathered itself into a small ball in the middle of the table. "It's no great mystery to control the elements." He said lightly. "One just needs to be connected to them deeper than most humans are. This can be either naturally by earth, every once in a while the universe likes to put little talents into people, or by extended time in their presence." Danny nodded. "So... were you a 'little talent'?" she asked, looking him over. It was incredible to see something like what he was doing. He was much calmer than she was about the whole thing, so she concluded that she should probably act the same way instead of geeking out over it. "You couldn't have been with the elements for too long... you don't look that old. Sorry if that's rude in any way, but you don't look any older than 20." She smiled, trying to be polite.

Of course according to humans, he was ancient, but according to his own he was a young man, just barely out of his teenage years. He let the little ball roll up onto his finger. "And yes, this is a talent I've had since birth, though it's not the most impressive thing I can do." He said. "And I see a little of this power in you as well, you saw how well fire responded to you." He said. he tapped his forehead. Danny gave Alexander a quizzical look. "And how do I do that?" she asked, glancing at the small ball of water. She was intrigued, and it was plain as day on her face that she wanted to know more.

"It begins with listening, then communication." He said. "Eventually, if you do it right, the elements will be drawn to you when you wish, without needing to call them." "Oh." Danny smiled down at the water before looking up at Alexander, who had been looking back at her. She blushed lightly before looking down at her food. She grabbed her fork and jabbed at a dumpling. "Try your food, I'm sure you'll like it." she insisted. "That's Italian, by the way," she said under her breath, just loud enough for him to hear her. She giggled quietly.

He picked up his fork and twirled some noodles onto it tightly. He squeezed his eyes shut before taking a bite, making a show of it. After a moment he smiled and winked at her. "You were right madam, this is very good!" He said, twirling more noodles onto his fork, this time with chicken.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Danny openly laughed out loud, her smile gleaming. "Good! Glad you like it," she told him, now placing her own food in her mouth and chewing. She loved chicken paprikash, so she smiled as she ate her food. After she finished chewing a bite, she put her fork down and took a drink. As she placed her glass down she asked, "I think this is the perfect time to get to know each other. I mean, all I really know is your name. And that you own a shop," she said, smiling. "So tell me about yourself."

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander swallowed his food and set down his fork. "Well, let's see..." He said thoughtfully. "I was born in Ireland and grew up there. My family and I lived in the forest, so I'd a lot of familiarity with plants before I moved here." He said, placing a hand on his cheek. "I moved here as a result of a falling out with my family, we didn't see eye to eye in something I felt very strongly about, thought it was insignificant." He said. After a moment, he shrugged as though it didn't matter to him. "After I moved here I got the shop and set up. Luckily the people who owned it were looking desperately to retire, so they sold it to me at a good price. Ever since I've been there selling my herbs and breeding new kinds of plants." He said. "Rasiel came with me, I found him as a kit after a hound killed his mother and siblings. He was a runt so he tucked himself way down deep in their burrow." He said. He paused, as if thinking of something else to say. "Personally I'm a Cancer, born June 30th. My favorite color is blue..." He added, pausing once more before finally grinning and running a hand through his hair. "Aside from that I'm just a man who dresses in funny clothes." He said with a chuckle.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Danny looked at Alexander as he spoke. She smiled at his comment of himself and she replied, "I don't see them as funny clothes... more old fashioned. By, like, tons of years." She laughed a little. "But they're not weird. I kind of like them," she confided in him, smirking. "They're... charming."
