AgentShiny Naioka AgentShiny Shiny smiled and nuzzled into Nai when she wrapped her arm around her. Her ears twitched when she heard Nai stir but she was unaware of what was going on... *Without taking her arm off of Shiny, Nai whispers the ancient, holy incantation. The long script is hard to read and she casts a light spell with a clenched fist, trying to finish the words. As she utters the last words she buries her face in Shiny's neck* "Deus Ex Machina" *the light from her hand is drowned out by a perfectly white light washing over the drowsy couple. In a moment Nai unburies her face and sees clouds floating peacefully beside them. She kisses Shiny's neck and purrs* *Nai brushes the stray hairs away from Shiny's face and looks into her mysterious eyes beaming* I used the ancient scroll of Euripides. You probably already know this but 'Deus Ex Machina" means God from the Machine in Greek. Basically *she claps her hands* we were whisked away to safety through a holy mechanism. *She gets up, kneeling on their little cloud puff* You okay? *Nai looks down at the labyrinth far below them, it's mystical paths snaking around the many fountains and archways. Nai notices a fallen ruin at the center of the expanisve maze* Do you see that?! cat_eek

She can still discern the reflection of the setting sun off the surface of the baths on the lawn.* We could always relax and go tomorrow honey.

Several months later.......
Shiny was lounging about in the Garden wondering when the adventure would ever continue or if it had been abandoned due to previous injuries which is what made the two return to the peaceful garden for rest and to heal.
As she looked out over the horizon, wearing nothing but her flowing cape and underwear, not bothering to get dressed due to the hot day. Her wings tucked in at the moment, she had been getting more and more used to flying, though she still didn't enjoy the heights. Her adventuring gear was in the closet of the room she was staying in. She would take her weapons out and practice every day to keep her skills sharp. Often she would offer to teach Nai how to fight and defend better even though her magic was powerful...she couldn't always rely upon it as she had found out from their earlier adventure into the labyrinth...

*nai grimaces at her hair being pulled but buries her head in a cloud puff, one of the castle's more unique furniture inventions, and begins to tell Shiny how she met a monk picking lavender in a field. He was blind, but he warned her of a terrible monster that has come to the area. It feasts on the blood of mystical creatures and although he had never seen the monster, he had sensed it's presence forming in the region near the castle. Scared and worried about Shiny's safety, Nai had ridden two days back to the castle to make sure all was well.*
So... so you haven't seen any big scawy monsters?

I know I could use one myself, we've just been discussing battle plans for a mysterious villain.
*By battle plans, Nai means sobbing into pillows and shoulders and by mysterious villain she means a monster they have less than no clue about*

It seemed like forever ago. Her heart skips a beat when the doors open, but relaxes when Nai appears on the other side. *Coughing and covering up what she said, Nai begins a vague tour*
There's salt and fresh water hot baths outside
*Nai waves with a sweeping motion towards the splendid glass doors that line the back wall of the huge entrance foyer*
Ask the handmaidens for anything your heart desires, I'll give you the rest of the tour later. Let's have a drink.
*Nai calls to a young girl with small, feathered wings who floats down from the top of the staircase*
Adela, please prepare a room for our guest, should she choose to spend the night.
*Adela exits with a bow, leaving the scent of honeysuckle as she beats her wings calmly floating away to carry out the request. Nai leads Candie to the bar, offers her a cloud puff to sit on and goes behind the bar, preferring to mix the drinks herself*
What will you be enjoying tonight, madame?
