Nikolai nodded and curled up against Leon, thinking of his and Sloth's conversation only moments ago.

"Are you sure you don't want to wait a little longer, dearie?" the Sin asked almost worriedly as he pulled a few suitcases near the couch with a grunt. He wiped his forehead and eyed Leon nervously, or more his knees.

Leon Court"If we wait much longer, he could come and kill me, and take you," said the teacher as he set one last suitcase by the door. "Now, stop looking at my knees. I told you, they're all healed, I'm fine."

"I don't believe you." Nikolai said in a sing-song tone. "And I won't believe you for a few days, until it's only logical, hmm?" Seeing the last suitcase come, Nikolai compared their luggage. Where Leon brought a few, he brought nearly everything. He couldn't just leave them here! He absolutely needed his make-up!

Leon Court"Fine, fine," chuckled the man, leaning on the couch arm. "Now, have you decided how you want to get there yet? All you said when you started packing like a madman was "trust me, dearie, I'll pick out the best way to get there". Please don't tell me we're traveling by plane."

The Sin scoffed and spread his fingers on his chest to mock offense. "I don't say 'dearie' all the time.... dearie." he said before striding towards the window and opening it. "Oh, but I told you I'd get us the best method of transportation, did I not?" he chimed just as a large caw came from a distance. Little Ezekiel swooped down and landed right on his shoulder as he smiled at Leon.

Leon CourtLeon blinked, then rubbed his temple and raised an eyebrow. "Travel by bird again? Alright, that's new. You sure he can hold the incredible amount of luggage we're bringing?"

"I'm not too sure, to be honest, dearie." he admitted with a lazy smile on his face. "I meant to order us plane tickets, you see, but, ah.... Well, I am Sloth." he chuckled nervously while rubbing the back of his head.

Leon Court"Which is why I ordered us plane, train, bus, and even a rental car ahead of time," said the man, pointing to his computer bag. "They're all in there, so they won't get lost. Now, you can REALLY choose. Bird or plane?"

Nikolai blinked, surprised at how Leon had everything set up beforehand. He should be hurt that Leon knew this would happen, but he'd probably do the same thing if he were in his shoes. Nikolai glanced at Ezekiel, who looked back at him expectantly, then looked at Leon happily. "Train~!" he sang and ignored his bird's caws of protest.

Nikolai had just finished shooing away Ezekiel when he heard Leon. "Hmm? What is it, darling?" he asked as he walked over towards him, leaning against his chest.

Leon CourtLeon set his large hands on Nikolai's hips, holding on to him. "If anything happens to me, promise me you won't mourn long," he said, closing his eyes and not smiling. "Mourn me, don't forget me easily, but don't let my death slow you down. Alright?"

Something about those words... There was something about hearing that that was nearly unbearable for Nikolai to hear. Closing his eyes, he moved his hands up slowly and fisted Leon's shirt. "You've my word."
