Saya let out a breath she hadn't realized she had been holding.
"I-it's fine, you don't have to keep apologizing so much..." she said, looking up briefly and blushing as she noticed the stares they were getting.
The other students looked almost disappointed that nothing had really happened and just went back to doing what they had been doing before, whispering to each other.
"Marshal, it's fine, really," Saya said, turning back to him after glaring at some people, "besides that, I'm used to it..."
She bit her bottom lip, realizing that that sounded kind of bad.
"I-I mean... I just...." she stammered and then just kind of tossed Marshal's book back at him.
"Here.... sorry..." she mumbled, looking at the blackboard instead of at him, liked how he was.
Saya simply didn't know what to say, and after all that, there was so much stifling attention focused on them.

Marshal was getting annoyed with all the stares they were receiving, he knew what many of them were thinking.
"...They just can't look away," his arm changed to a blade again and fired at the students behind him, it didn't anybody but he wanted them to stop looking.
He turned to Saya, sliding his book over to her, "Here...I have a new way to stay sane...." he smiled, the only time his smile didn't have a crazy event that would followed it.
But that book has been with you for years...ever sincec you- Marshal gave a sigh, there were still students who stared at them, "All the crazy things I have done...as well as questions to myself, notes when I'm not crazy, and just things i want to write down."
He never really remembered what he kept in the book, he knew some of the memories were gory.

Saya looked at Marshal questioningly when he told her that he had a new way to stay sane.
"Then...is it okay if I...look at it?" she asked tentatively, reaching for the book and already opening it a crack.
She looked back up at Marshal, wanting him to be absolutely sure and not regret it. "Are you really sure?"
Saya thought it wouldn't be fair to him otherwise, since what he wrote in that book was probably private.
She was still curious about what he had in there though...

Marshal gave her a nod, "It's the least I can do for you since I cause you a lot of trouble today...."
He rested his head on the desk and fell asleep, he was too tired, he knew he'd get yelled at but it didn't bother him.
I think everyone needs a nap...

Saya kept looking at Marshal for a while, even after he fell asleep.
He was so... Normal, in a strange way sometimes.
"...You didn't really cause that much trouble, it's fine how you usually are...." she said under her breath as she turned to the first page in the book.

Marshal could still remember the first page of his book, he shuddered, he knew what it was about and it was something he didn't want to remember.
Blood, Blood everywhere....It's on the walls....It's on the floor....It's on me and on my hands. he shuddered once those words echoed in his head.
I wake up to find my mother and step-father dead...I remember laughing as I lie in their pool of blood Marshal began to laugh, he didn't really fall asleep.
I can't help but laugh, they look pathetic, I miss my mother but not him....I enjoyed killing him Marshal laughter grew louder.
I killed her by accident, i didn't mean to but I did....He was my target...He looked like a nice man, everyone would say he was.
Marshal had a grin on his face, he still appeared to look asleep though, He was a nice man only to anyone who wasn't a child...He loved to pick on children...especially me
The rest of the page continued about killing Marshal's step-father, he had slow painful death. Marshal remembered his mother's death. a quick one.
He found it amusing to punch me in the face, so I slowly peeled away his skin...I laughed as he screamed....
He never understood that I was crazy....My mother did but my step-Father though I was simply pretending just to get attention..

Saya read each word on the page with a growing sense of disbelief and unexpectedly, fear.
She shuddered as her overactive imagination took over and then looked to Marshal beside her, who was laughing and grinning in his sleep.
It was like she didn't even know him anymore.
'How could I not have known about any of this...' she thought to herself, 'he never told me anything... Or was I just blind to it??'
She turned back to the book, skimming through the rest of the part about killing his step-father.

Marshal knew what happened next after he killed his parents, Just by myself now, I can never go back and i can never forgive myself for what I did
Marshal shifted as he tried to go to sleep, What did I do? I didn't mean to kill them, I would never be able to kill anyone...But why did I kill them?
He remembered the next thing that followed after killing his parents, I can't go to my father...I don't think he would like the fact I'm insane...But isn't he crazy too?
He began to tear up, he was glad that he was "sleeping". I'm alone now...Timmy is my only company but he rarely talks to me
"I should just go out on my own, that's my only option now, so where should I go?" he said the next sentience in his book, his face was expressionless.

Saya jumped slightly when Marshal read out the next sentence. What was this, did he have the whole thing memorized or something?
She looked back to the book, wondering if she should continue on with reading it.
'I do want to know what happened to Marshal... and his real father?' she thought, 'and again with "Timmy"... He even writes about him? He either really believes that "Timmy" exists or he's just... well, crazy.'
Saya couldn't help but to continue on now. She wanted to learn more about her partner and actually understand him better.

Marshal hesitated to read the next sentences, he was an outcast, a lot of people avoided him when he went on his own.
It's lonely when you try to do things on your own, Sure Timmy will would say some funny things but he's no human being.
"It's been a month after that incident, I didn't go crazy during that time..." he read another sentence in the book without looking.
It's my birthday today...I just bought a cupcake from the bakery, not a cake but it's close enough.
Marshal began to tear up, he remembered that long period of time by himself, he looked away.
I realized that i never had a birthday

This time, Saya turned to Marshal.
"You're awake, aren't you?" she said softly and inquisitively.
Not that there was really a point in asking. Like, she wasn't stupid, she could tell he was faking being asleep.
She closed the book quietly, deciding to stop reading it for now.
'I should... do something... to make him feel better.... if only I knew how....' Saya thought to herself.
She sighed and said, "Marshal.... Look at me, can we talk about it instead of you just hiding it? I want to... help you..."

"I... Okay, it's true that I think differently of you because of the book..." Saya admitted, "but that doesn't have to be a bad thing!"
She looked at Marshal with certainty. "All I know is that I want you to be my partner, and just reading something from a book isn't going to change that."

Marshal hesitated to speak to her, he wanted to be normal, "You deserve a better partner."
He just smiled, an ominous smile, one that always lead to trouble. "I learned that a can clone myself more than once..."
Two clones formed beside him, both had a grin on their face, "It's sure takes a lot out of you and they could become rouge much easier"
One of the clones transformed, the second aimed at Marshal with the first clone.
"I'm tired...I just want to take a nap..." The clone weapon clicked and the clone Marshal hesitated.
"I can't kill him...when he's like this," the clone weapon revert back to another clone Marshal.
"See....I don't have control of that one," he grinned, "We're supposed to have the same thoughts as the original"
"Us clones should at least know whether the original's choice is good or bad..."
Both clones aimed their blade arm at each other, "I want to watch this..." their arms click and one fired.
A clone fell on his knees and disintegrated, "He's not going to hurt himself...No other meister can help him"
"This clone obviously deserves to die now..." Marshal aimed his blade arm at the clone.
