Lyre smiled as she pulled her sword from the demon and lept away from it. "Nice," she said and meant it. "By the way this is my true form, no horns or a tail." Her black aura surged around her as if it were alive.

 Maisujin Kazayo Kinja smiled slightly. "Like I said before, if your true form were any more beautiful, any goddess would be jealous," he said idly, digging one sharpened fingernail in a slightly pointed ear. He flicked it on the demon dismissively and turned away, a smirk flashing at the edges of his lips before the earwax detonated with the equivalent force of three grenades, nearly vaporizing the remains.

Maisujin Kazayo Kinja shifted one shoulder, taking a few steps closer to her and the tree. "It doesn't really surprise me, though I am kinda surprised that few of the tales they mention say anything about more personal interests among your team," he said thoughtfully. He paused, glancing back to see his father's silvery white hair falling just past his shoulders as he ate an apple casually. The half demon fighter paused, his long black coat rustling in the wind as he turned his head, his blue eyes narrowing fractionally for a moment before he grinned.

Lyre shrugged. "No one except my friends knew about Crystal," she said quietly. "Her father never even knew. I kept much of my life from people. The stories only refer to me as a Warrior."

Maisujin Kazayo Kinja sighed. "My uncle and father never even knew I was even alive until I was fourteen... by that time I had been nearly killed in more ways than I care to remember; I stopped counting somewhere around two or three thousand attempts on my life a couple of years beforehand," he said quietly. He couldn't tell her that he was the living prison for a very powerful and bloodthirsty inu-kitsune demon hybrid. This demon in question was so bloodthirsty pureblooded demons had to join together to tear out the demon's spirit and bind it.They had kidnapped him a few hours after birth and had bound the demon to his very soul, effectively binding them in a symbiotic relationship neither were too fond of. Then they'd dumped him in a village that feared demon spirits and were extremely superstitious.

Maisujin Kazayo Kinja sighed. "Death comes to all beings eventually, regardless of race... but I'm sure wherever he is, he's at peace," he said softly. He shifted his weight slightly, his gaze flicking around warily.

"In my case death never came," Lyre whispered. "I am cursed." She sighed. "I am worse than a Vampire and that's saying alot considering I knew one."

Maisujin Kazayo Kinja cocked an eyebrow. "Do you know the Bloodriver clan? I'm friends with three of the daughters of that clan," he said carefully. He heard a distant roar and glanced into the distance, his eyes narrowing as he half turned. His gauntleted hand clenched for a moment before he heard a whistle as his eyes snapped skyward. He spotted the winged demon hefting a gold bladed spear before it hurled it at Lyre's back. He took two steps, momentarily surprising the demon when the spear rammed through his upper abdomen and out of his back, ripping through his jacket and body armor in the process. He dropped to one knee, the hilt of the spear sticking out of his front at roughly a forty degree angle so the butt of the hilt was visible from behind over his right shoulder.

Lyre immediatly crouched down beside him. Her black aura reached out and ensnared the demon. It was vaporized within seconds. "One of my friends was turned and you had no need to defend me," she said. "Only a weapon like mine can harm me. Now would you like me to help you? I am no healer like my cousin was but I can try."

Maisujin KazayoNero shivered slightly, his eyes widening as his head snapped around. Kinja nodded slowly, gripping the hilt of the spear and pulling out an inch of it. "If you can't get it... I think I have a way to finish healing... but I can say it's gonna hurt like hell either way," he said through gritted teeth. He could hear the bloodlust in his voice as he sensed a couple of Frost demons trying to dart around the sides of the trees. His eyes half closed before snapping open, the color shifting from a deep purple that faded to pale blue at the edges to a glowing crimson that faded to gold at the edges with small pupils shaped like an odd trigram as thick 'tails' of crimson-gold energy lashed out from the small of his back, impaling both demons through the chest before they ignited in a roar of flame. The tails of demonic energy faded away almost immediately as Kinja's eyes shut tightly, forcing out a low growl as he jerked another inch of the near foot and a half spear blade out. Only a couple of inches still stuck out of his jacket from behind.

"I'm really not hungry," Crystal muttered.
Lyre carefully touched him. Her black aura immediatly surrounded him but it was different. She was nervous for her powers were for harm and not healing.

Maisujin KazayoNero took two steps, then vanished, using demonically enhanced speed to materialize not far from where Kinja and Lyre were. His eyes narrowed before they widened. He could see faint tendrils of crimson energy edged with gold flickering around Kinja's form even among the odd aura the girl was manipulating. Kinja pressed both palms to the sides of the spear blade and shoved hard. The blade slid out with a squelching sound before it clattered to the snow, steam rising from the blade. "Be careful..." he warned, feeling the energy strain within him and start building up slowly but surely.
