((ATTACKING: 20))

Several Clan warriors dropped from the ceiling onto one of the humans that carried a glowing spear. Siddie drew in a shocked breath as the human intercepted one of its attackers, drove the spear right through the Horsewoman's body and shoved her back and away. She fell, her body dissolving in dissipation - was it death? Had the weapon eaten her? Siddie hissed agitation and fear. She had to do something.

She darted from shadow to shadow, cloaking herself in the darkness as she approached, ignoring the other snarling screaming knots of battle. She could - she could distract the human, maybe. She had no illusions about her ability to kill it, but if she could get its attention off the Horsemen for a moment, they would finish it, she was certain of that.

She approached from behind, darted in low, slashed her blades across the rear of the human's thigh. It shrieked and turned on her, the spear blade slashing suddenly in her direction, slicing easily through the dark armored uniform she wore. She backpedaled hastily, trying to breathe. The weapon darted at her again, drawing hungrily on her Fear; to her alarm, she could see tendrils of her very substance curling up into the blade and being consumed, little oily swirls flickering against its surface and vanishing.

Then another warrior dropped onto the human, knocking it to the ground, and Siddie fell back, clutching her side and watching with vindictive satisfaction as Horsemen piled onto the Hunter, their blades driving into it, spilling its blood everywhere.

Perhaps she had been mistaken about the carvings in the War Clan's secret place. Siddie would not be in the least sorry if the Horsemen wiped out every Hunter that lived.

Upon reforming, Whisper opened her eyes ever so briefly. She could hear the peaceful sound of water and song. The sight before her was glorious, even if she only saw it for a moment. She couldn't find the strength to keep her eyes open. It felt like she had only blinked and when she opened her eyes once more, they were in the white room. Medea was standing at the second door. Clearly it wasn't going to just lead to a really great buffet. She listened closely to the priestess and as she opened the door, Whisper's nose was assaulted by a less than wonderful smell. It was rather putrid, and she definitely wasn't a fan.

She paid close attention to what was being said around her, even though for the most part it seemed to be just murmurs. She could feel the restraints on her abilities, and knew that this would be a fight that would rely on her knowledge of a weapon. Good thing she had spent some time on the Isle of War...

But once the blue glow pierced the darkness, she recoiled slightly. She knew this glow. Whisper despised this glow. It meant that their fight today was against the hunters. Did the others know? Were they really prepared to fight against them? She knew that others tended to underestimate the hunters, and that would be their downfall.

The battle started before Whisper could give anyone warning, and it was like a storm had been let loose in the tunnel. There was chaos everywhere, and Whisper knew this was no place for her to fight. She was no where near the level of strength she needed to be to fight them, and this was made very apparent as a very large hunter smashed through the crowd. Whisper retreated away, keeping her distance and doing her best not to attract his attention.

After an almost close encounter with an overwhelming foe, Whisper weaved through the crowd. She really didn't want to be in this fight. It wasn't because she was a coward. In fact, she was just being smart. She wasn't going to enter a fight that she didn't even have a chance at winning. Especially when that could just damage everyone elses chances of making it out alive. If she came across an enemy that was even close to her level, sure she'd take them on. But she was not going to get cocky. That's how you die.

She kept in the shadows, close to the walls. But as she bobbed and weaved, she came across a near dead human. She could see from their injuries that they probably weren't going to make it. They looked at her in terror, blood running down their chin and eyes impossibly wide. Whisper knelt beside what she came to the conclusion was a girl. The ghoul looked at her with almost a sadness in her eyes. She stroked a piece of hair from the girls face and calmly made a shushing sound. "Poor human, if only you had known what you were getting yourself into, maybe you would have made another choice."

She wanted to show the human that they weren't so bad. That they had mercy. She took in a deep breath, and gave the girl one last look. "I'll end your pain. I'm sorry it had to end for you this way." Whisper thrust her blade into the humans chest, holding her close as she felt the last bit of life shudder out of her body.

Whisper placed the girl's body against the wall, got up and moved forward. She almost let a tear squeak out, but she knew if any of the other students saw that, she would never live it down. She wasn't a heartless killer, and she did feel a pang of guilt for taking the girls life. She wouldn't disappear and reform. Her time was over.

But before whisper could get further into her mind thinking about the life she had taken, the large hunter from before came crashing through the crowd. She wasn't going to let herself end up like that girl. Even more so, she did not want him to capture her. That would be a fate worse then death. So Whisper ran as fast as she could, put as much space as possible between her and the dangerous brute.

Could there be anything more ironing? emerging from her deathly sleep - even if it was sleep, it never refreshed them - they felt already broken and tired. Welcome to the realm of death, Wylfenne thought, could there be anything else but feeling either deadly - as they felt last time before they were...

argh, pinned by the horse to the ground and dead of its heavy weight and humiliation?....

... in battle, or dead-beat, as they were now. But the training wasn't quite over yet, and ignoring the surprise of the mind to find it again united with their body - the fay listened attentively trying to figure out what was going to happen next - and whether they were going to loose their not-so-precious-but-still-much-needed life for the second time.

....An invigorating experience, one must admit! Makes you think faster!...

And there was Medea again, wrapped in her illusion of a dress, and bubbling about no time for questions. Wylfenne wondered whether the Death Clan would ever answer any question, or just write them off as unaccounted expenditure. That creature didn't even answer their question -

wait, where was it? in a sort of an interspace between dreaming and awakening as when you are in bed with your eyes closed feeling you don't sleep and it's been just a couple of minutes - and then wake up only to find out you have been soundly asleep for several hours

They looked around to see whether at least some of the students share their suspicions, and noticed a perplexed pout of a reaper ghoul near them. They have seen her before in their dream, haven't they? But again, there was no time for reflection, as once again the landscape - or the mindscape, as Wylfenne started calling it, as it was either an illusion, bearing no connection to the reality, and they were not dead but dreaming, or they were dead and it didn't matter.

... a huge monster all square-shaped and covered in ugly smooth armour with a terribly annoying whistle and noise was rushing upon them, and Wylfenne prepared to attack ....but it passed them as if not deeming them a suitable prey...

Then it darkened sharply, and became noisy with all those sorts of little electrical shocks and sparkles and humming and screeching - and they were almost definitely in some sort of tunnels. This time they were aligned with the Four Clan warriers and given order to eliminate something Wylfenne didn't know how to explain. They called it Hunters, and for a moment the fae thought they referred to her kin, and was prepared to fight for her kinsmen, but then they started moving down the tunnel, and there was light, and people, and it all started making sense...

if any. they were fighting Humans again, weren't they?

There was a fight. Or, more likely, a slaughter. And either Wylfenne was too tired, or it was all deploying too fast, but they hadn't had time to do anything, and just retreated into the shadows to watch. A strange gurgling noise - or hiss - there is a half-dead human was lying on the ground, already marked by the sign of emminent death...

was I any better just some hours ago?

Wylfenne approached and watched him die. No hesitation, no sorrow, no pity. Just curious - what was going on they were dragged into by the Clan of Death?

[round 2 - attacking]

The death of the soldier make them anxious - the same longing for blood and battle they felt yesterday - or was it today? - when fighting humans. A few Clansmen looking swift and dark like shadows attacked several humans. The latter were somewhat different from their kind, holding strange glowing weapons, and they fought back, and as far as Wylfenne could see their blows were painful, as the Four Clan soldiers retreated with a wail, and a few of them dropped dead.

Wylfenne jumped out of the shadows to their rescue -

It felt hot and dizzy as the fae fought with their unusual foe, but they were easily outnumbered, and the Clansmen were not rushing to help -

so having come to their senses after some really nasty blow Wylfenne retreated into the shadows. After all, it was not exactly their battle...

[round 3 - watching]

Now, the Four Clans members were actually fighting with less spirit than Wylfenne thought - and with a clear head, it seems, as they tried to avoid confronting the strange humans, and assailed the weaponless ones. They saw one, cornered, frightened, with eyes bright of awe and terror, trembling and already defeated.

He is disgusting! He has no will to fight! He should at least try to die an honourable death

Wylfenne felt almost like approaching the human and teaching how he should meet his end, but one of the Clansmen with a wicked smile just tore off the head of the weakling. The fae signed. Was there an end to this bloodlust? And what should they do? Should they join the battle? They were sooo tired and actually sooo clueless.....

Even the visceral feeling of flesh, the spray of blood, the surprised shouts, surges of Fear, the carnal feeling of being the predator eventually faded away, thick emotions becoming vague, distant. Dream-like.

Surreal.

And once again, Medea was waiting for them, the third door already-half opened. "All paths lead to the same result."

There was a loud creak as the darkness swallowed them from within the door.

Bleak greys. Blacks. Thick smokey browns. The sky seemed to continuously shift between dark blacks and an angry red, as if permanently burning. It was an odd sight, where the students stood, bits and pieces of paper flying around, scatterings of discarded objects, strange objects: rusted vehicles and small toys, and items even indecipherable to them. In the background were larger monuments, what looked like giant buildings touching the thick black sky, most of them crumbled, dying.

A dying civilization. A dying population.

They did not have long to speculate before there was a sharp shout from behind the students. Two Four Clans members, dressed in their usual outfits - most likely members from the Clan of War approached the students. They were chattering angrily back and forth each other in their own language as they pointed towards them. At last, the first approached them, stiffly.

"You. Come with us."

There was no room for argument as the students followed the other Four Clans warrior, escorted down a set of stairs into a large crevice deep into the ground, the walls glowing a thick yellow, an abundant light source from below. The deeper the descent, the more obvious the signs of what was happening, Four Clans members, sentries, positioned at all exits and entrances of what had melded into a large cavern.

And then there was the Fear. A Fear that tasted odd, strained and sickly. To the left was a series of cages hanging from the ceiling: they were all empty.

As the students descended even lower still, they passed by more empty pits: simply large pits of nothingness, a series of hollow caverns cold and empty. The light was from a series of strange inscriptions strewn all over the center of this large cavern. The students did not come to a stop until they reached close to the center, the runes buzzing, faintly however.

A regal figure, a warrior-queen dressed in feathers, leathers, and trinkets of the slain walked over, steadily and purposefully. "Speak." Her expression was hostile.

"We did nothing." A voice was speaking, but behind the students: apparently they were not the only ones apprehended. It belonged to one of them, one of the students, of Halloween, from the way they dressed to the way they simply looked. Their appearance however was faded, their Fear weak, ebbing in waves. They barely had enough to retain their appearance. "We tried to save them, the last of them. We warned you about your actions, the Humans died because they lost the will to live. There is no more Fear because they no longer feel anything. We have destroyed them and in turn, destroyed our-"

There was a flash of a blade as the figure suddenly stopped talking, staring at the weapon protruding from their chest wide-eyed before they topped backwards, right into the center of the runes - and dissipated entirely before they could touch the ground.

"Enough." Her voice was strong, absolute. "I will not listen to any more lies that will upset my Clans members. Now, anyone else who dares to speak, it better be in cooperation and not challenge. Where are you hiding the last of the Humans?"

Noone spoke.

"Then chain them up until one speaks, or their Fear becomes too weak for them to sustain themselves." She was angry, livid, sheathing her weapon with a solid clack. "We shall find a new supply, and they shall regret defying us, siding with those pathetic Humans instead of our own kind."

The students and several others captured, all withered, fading figures similar to the one who had dissipated permanently were shoved in one large caged area. A guard watched them for a bit before walking away.

Someone whimpered, softly, inside the cage: a scareling still holding on to their mother. She hushed them, rocking them back and forth.

OOC

CLASS 3: THE ???

There are a few non-student prisoners scattered around the cage, though most do not seem to be in a speaking mood. You can however, try addressing them. Roll a 100-sided dice and match your dice roll to the results below. Rp out asking the questions and listening to their answers, as well as your student's own reactions to their answers. You can do this up to three times (it is recommended for max class points!) If you get repeats, it simply means the person misinterpreted your question and repeated themselves.

1-20: Where are we?
- The prisoner gives you a strange look. "Aren't you a rebel, like one of us? Pro-Human World, saving what remains of Halloween against the Four Clans and all that. I recommend you keep your voice down though, there's no use attracting unneccessary attention."

21-50: Who are you?
- The prisoner sighs a little bit. "It's going to be a long wait till my final dissipation isn't it? Fine I'll humour you, I was called Eis, from a place once known as Halloween Town. It's gone now, like most of pretty much every other Jackforsaken thing the Four Clans took. There's nothing now, they took everything. First the Humans, then us, and now well, the rest you can see for yourself." They shrugged, falling silent again.

51- 80: What time is it currently?
- "The time now?" The prisoner rolls their eyes. "Does it really Jacking matter? How about several hours before they feed us to their little Fear-eating contraptions? How about several years too late from stopping their Jacking Apocalypse?"

81 - 100: What happened here?
- "What does it look like?" The prisoner's tone is flat, sarcastic. "We got ambushed while trying to escape this place. There are no Humans left, not that we know of or care to know, they died off moons ago. There's just us, and now they hunt us to get the remainder of their Fear. It wont be long before there aren't any of us either."

'All paths lead to the same result'. Medea said. Shehk had to wonder what she meant by that even as she headed through the door the priestess walked through.

Another door. What was behind door #3? Was it a new car?

......

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Nope

She couldn't help but pause as she walked through the streets, crouching to pick up one of the small toys, turning it over in her head. It looked like some sort of tiny colorful pony with some strange marking on it's butt. Strange. Yet there was something depressingly nostalgic about it.

Everything was crumbling to dust and it reminded of her Shady Hollow, where only ghosts lived.

"Wha-?" Shehk didn't even get to try and figure out what was going on as they were suddenly all herded forward - forward into what looked like a crevice down into the ground. She knew this heaviness. It made her skin crackle, her hands faded in and out of existence. It made a small wave of panic fill her head.

She knew this place.

She knew this feeling. It made her flicker in and out of existence. Unlike the Horsemen who seemed to thrive in it. This FEAR.

And yet, Shehk did't disagree with what she heard. Was this what would happen if they continued down this path she'd been reveling in for the last few days? Had...she caused this somehow?

It made her sick to her stomach even as she joined the others in the cage they were put into, staring out through the bars both curiously and guiltily somehow. What exactly did it all mean?

After a long time of staring out into the main chamber, Shehk looked back to the others who were in the cell with her.

"Who are you guys?" she asked, half wondering why she was imprisoned to begin with. She hadn't done anything. It was just...it was a bit of a big mess and she wasn't enjoying it.

At the same time, however, she didn't get an answer as those imprisoned with her seemed to mumble to themselves and then look to her. She frowned. She'd ask again later when they seemed more amicable.

To be honest, the answer to her first question was both what she was expecting and not exactly what she was expecting, sighing as she looked back out of the cage, and then back towards those who were imprisoned with her. Was this the way it was all going to end?

Shehk felt a great discomfort in this new information, actually, and found herself constantly looking back to the other imprisoned monsters. She actually was only half sure of what was going on there, actually.

"What's going on with all of this?" she asked. At first, the response she got was bitter and angry. No real answer was given at first. Disbelief was passed around, strange looks were shot at the Pricolici, and Shehk found herself just...frowning as she waited for an answer.

Any answer.

"What does it look like?" The prisoner's tone was flat, sarcastic. "We got ambushed while trying to escape this place. There are no Humans left, not that we know of or care to know, they died off moons ago. There's just us, and now they hunt us to get the remainder of their Fear. It wont be long before there aren't any of us either."

It wasn't exactly the answer she wanted, and Shehk found herself frowning at it. Was this the reaper of Giftmas Future or something like that? She still wanted her new car.

Not...

to be eaten by Horsemen....

There was something sobering about the idea of her fate, and Shehk half leaned on her knees, frowning.

"So who are you, anyways?" she asked again, looking to the individual who had answered her previous question. Everything outside was just..burning and death and..not a new car. Alas.

The prisoner sighed a little bit. "It's going to be a long wait till my final dissipation isn't it?" Wait, were they getting annoyed with her questions? She was just trying to figure out what was going on! This was like that damn alternate reality thing.

Her hand went to the medal inside of her chest pocket for familiarity.

" Fine I'll humour you, I was called Eis, from a place once known as Halloween Town. It's gone now, like most of pretty much every other Jackforsaken thing the Four Clans took. There's nothing now, they took everything. First the Humans, then us, and now well, the rest you can see for yourself." They shrugged, falling silent again.

It was another depressing answer, really, but Shehk sighed, having to half-accept that answer. Well. Fully accept it. Because it was the only one she was going to get, and as it stood it seemed like the only reasonable explanation to what was going on.

Tybalt watched Madea as she lightly pushed open the third door.

So far they had viewed the past, and what he assumed was the present. Did this mean the third door would show them the future?

He held in an unneeded breath, both afraid and curious at what he would see, only to release it out of shock. They were standing in the middle of what appeared to be a crumbling civilization. It was totaled, everything destroyed--ruined. The skies even...

Just what exactly had happened to have caused this?

Scared and confused, Tybalt turned to look at one of the four crumbling monuments when he heard the shouts from behind them. Two clansmen running at them, chattering angrily to one another, before they stopped before them and demanded that they follow. Tybalt, thinking that they were still allies, and not wanting to start trouble, followed without complaint. Though the deeper they descended, the more he regretted his choice. Something was clearly wrong here and the further they moved, the more he felt it. When they arrived, a wave of Fear washed over them. Though it wasn't the intoxicating, attractive Fear he was used to being surrounded by. No, this was odd... sickly.

It was repulsive.

He wrinkled his nose in distaste, noting the empty cages that hung along the sides of the wall, before he acknowledged the regal looking woman before them. Battle-clad and decorated in feathers... he imagined that this was someone of the war clan... No... maybe even the clan leader herself. The only difference was, there was no hint of the kindness he had seen in the clan that he had met only the week before. What stood before them was someone angry and hostile, and that hostility was directed at them.

When she got the student behind them to speak, Tybalt listened. Picking up and piecing together the answers to his questions for what he had seen just seconds ago. Answers which were almost too much for him to bear.

It was the four clans. They were the ones responsible this--all of this?

The realization made him feel sick. Sick at the thought that he might have been a part of it.

The horsewoman however, seemed angered by the student's answer and as a result, slew the student where they stood, before turning on them. When she didn't get the answers she was looking for, she ordered them to be locked up.

Was this for real?

Once inside the cage, Tybalt took the time to look around. But the more he saw, the more he felt ill. How had it come to this? Weren't they allies with the four clans? How could they betray them like this?

He ground his teeth together, moving over to sit by another prisoner, before deciding to speak.

"Who are you..?" He asked, keeping an eye open for any of the clansmen in case they were listening in.

The prisoner sighs a little bit.

Their answer, left the black dog feeling numb.

To think that the clans that he had been staying with for the past two week would be the cause of an apocalypse. He never thought they could actually do it, to be honest. He always thought of it as them boasting. But seeing this now... How could he not believe it? It was a terrifying reality. One that he didn't want to acknowledge, but couldn't deny either.

Resisting the urge to start pacing back and forth, he instead turned back to the captive that had provided him with the first answer. Everyone else was sleeping, tired, or had ignored the students completely, so who else was he supposed to turn to?

Unfortunately, either Eis was too tired to hear his words properly, or he spoke too softly. The captive answered him, but instead of getting the answer he was looking for, he got a snide reply, saying to check his memory, because he already asked who they were.

"....."

Feeling like he had to know more, the black dog moved closer.

"What time is it here anyways?" He asked quietly. His curiousity was rewarded with bitterness. Not that he could blame them. They were in a hopeless situation after all.

"The time now?" The prisoner rolled their eyes. "Does it really Jacking matter? How about several hours before they feed us to their little Fear-eating contraptions? How about several years too late from stopping their Jacking Apocalypse?"

Apocalypse? Fear eating machines? The black dog instinctively looked back in the direction they had come from. Was that what was happening now? The clansmen killed off the humans and had now turned to killing the people of Halloween in order to get the remainder of the Fear that still existed.

"s**t..." This was getting more and more twisted. Is this what the four clans were really aiming for?
