"Your call," Harrison said, trying to flick goop off his blade the same way he'd seen Jingleberry do with gore, "but don't think you're getting out of it that easy." It had been a few months and Candace was still mooning over that guy. Some measures had to be taken. At least if they all didn't become literal examples of the phrase Death by Chocolate. Help somebody else, sure. Everybody was getting swarmed, so it was hard to tell who needed an extra pair of swords at their elbow. A massive, glowing arc of red caught his eye. Well, why not. So long as he could keep his axe to himself. "Do me a favor and keep the 180°s to a minimum," Harrison said, nudging a particularly mopey-faced blob out of Rep's way. HP: 50/50 Defending: (Rep!) Rep liked to pretend that he was in the zone, that really he just wasn't hitting the blobs because he didn't really want to hit the blobs. But deep down he knew for whatever reason, be it space, be it the dark, be it the other people, be it the fact they were made of snack, that he just couldn't hit the ******** things.
So when Harrison showed up as backup, he really wanted to actually hit something, if only to save face in front of the other guy.
"Dont' ******** worry." he stammered "There isn't room in here to swing a cat."
And then, despite trying to look cool and focused and proper sun hunter stylish. He missed. Again.

The blob monsters were proving pretty slippery. The problem was that they were...sorta starting to pile up, and Harrison was not a master of the combat defense department.
"Seems like every time you slice through one another ten show up. I think maybe you oughta...stop aggravating them. And...uh, back up real slow..."
Harrison swatted a few, edging backwards nervously.

Oh god, oh god, oh god there were chocolate monsters. How did chocolate monsters exist, Saya was panicking deep deep inside. She fumbled with her weapon, trying to avoid the chocolate monsters. But they looked so heartbreakingly sad-- Of course, their aim to share their chocolaty being with the trainees didn't make their sad looks look quite as appealing ..
Saya was very torn here.

They kept multiplying. As her weapon sliced through a chocolate monster, she could hear Prompto's disgust. He didn't want to be slicing through chocolate anymore than she wanted to be covered in it. Especially a monster chocolate seeking to choke them on chocolate-- After this, Saya might avoid sweets for a good long while. This was a rather traumatizing experience, to have the thing you love turn on you. Although it was supposed to be an inanimate edible object.
More were multiplying than Saya could kill.

Rep only vaguely heard the angel's pleas, but just for once figured that maybe, just maybe it might be an idea to listen. Especially when the opinion was backed up by someone else who wasn't a voice in his head.
Still, even as he backed up, he made a valiant little attempt to swat away the blobs. Just for appearances sake. He wasn't running away. Nope. Strategic retreat.
AND HE HIT ONE. It made it all worthwhile.

Somewhere above, a toilet flushes.
Twice.
The next five hunters that attack the chocolate creatures find themselves unharmed due to the wet spray from leaky pipes (oh god some of that felt slightly solid) that interrupts the delicious beasts' attack.
They are saved!
But at what cost?
Melodious singing came from above. The voice would be familiar to Jerry, and the sound of it would pull his heart strings with longing. Oh Robert, they'd get you in the choir, just you wait and see.

Jerry was cold and wet and unappreciative of whatever that smell was. A muscle under his eye twitched compulsively and there was a fresh cry of anguish as he hauled Roar around, blasting through several more of the horrible creatures with a mighty bark.
This is what he got for trying to help. He should have stayed in his room.
Then he remembered what was in his room.
There was a moment of debate after which he finally acquiesced that being covered in questionable liquid was not quite as bad as being shouted at about profanities and dolphins and finding your inner zen.

More water and...stuff...
Candace was taking like ten showers after they got out of here. Ten showers and a talk with Harrison, apparently. She knew he wouldn't just let her escape without talking if he was really being serious about discussing her feelings. She didn't really want to but...maybe it was for the best if she did.
Soaking wet and just feeling so gross, Candace actually used her weapon now against the chocolate creatures. She didn't kill a damn thing.

"You can do it John Windwalker!"
"That's the spirit Sally!"
"Look before you hit, Steve!"
Wait a second. If the trainees actually paused for a second between the eternally regenerating no-entirely-made-of-chocolate slime creatures and the questionable status of Deus Ex Machina's plumbing system, they would see Julie.
Okay, that wasn't so bad, it was assumed after all that after opening the fridge Julie would still be around. However, the Moon Hunter had somehow found a way through the barricaded exit, and was instead, sitting on the other side in what one could only guess as a discarded lawn chair, picking at a piece of apple pie from one of the boxes that had still remained in good condition. She waved from her entirely safe and sewer free vantage point at the other side, thinking for a second. "Oh, oh, wait, I know! You should believe in yourselves, trainees!"
Apparently, somewhere between Oh God, When and Please God, Why, she and Allan had gotten together in probably was one of the least meaningful exchanges in Deus Ex Machina history ever.
If one looked very carefully at the barricaded gate, a little more carefully than usual, they would notice something that oddly looked like an extruded, metallic sign. On the sign wrote:
In case of emergency, please use security clearance card.
Thankfully, what looked very much like a security clearance card, maybe because it had the word security clearance card written on it in bright glitter red was hanging right next to the metallic sign. Or rather it was, until a flying piece of slime hit the card right off, and well, the thing disappeared somewhere on the ground. Or maybe in one of the slimes.
Or very likely, as there was really nothing else saying security clearance card on the ground, into any of the slimes.
OOC:GETTING OUT - Same mechanics from the last page as follows: BUT THIS TIME, you need to clear slimes in order to find the card key! - Roll your attack as normal, every time you roll for attack, you take 5 damage. The damage you do is the amount of slimes you take out. If your attack HITS (aka you don't miss), roll a 100-sided dice IMMEDIATELY in your next post. If you roll a 95 or higher, you have found the card. Otherwise, you're probably stuck here. - If you manage to get the key card, please QUOTE me (quote Zoobey), and put your find in bold so everyone knows. - The sound of what seems like a faucet turning on interrupts the trainees for a second, as well as what sounds like a shower going off and.... someone very familiar singing something very loud that may or may not have been in another language, their very untrained singing voice carrying throughout the caverns of the sewer. Your trainee, spurred by desperation, regains full HP.

Ami realized that, despite being covered in chocolate and water (IT WAS WATER DON'T YOU DARE SAY OTHERWISE), Julie had been nowhere in sight. Wasn't she supposed to be a big leader? Wasn't she supposed to be ... I dunno, taking down the thing generating the chocolate slimes?
Ami craned her neck around the crowd, looking for the moon assistant. It was a bit difficult, since she was rather short but- ah! There she is. Behind a big pearly gate.
What did that sign say? Security guard clearance? So ... they needed a card? Ami looked on the ground, searching for something that looked like a card. All she could see was chocolate, chocolate, chocolate. Maybe one of the slimes had picked up the card?
She swung Junpei around, hitting 3 of the smaller slimes. Was there card there?
Wait a second ... was that singing?

Augh she couldn't see anything through this chocolate! Goddammit.
Ami refused to get down on her hands and knees and actually search the slimes, but she prodded the ground with her glaive, only coming up with chocolate. This was one of those rare cases where more chocolate was NOT the answer.
< Whatcha lookin' for Ami? >
A security card. See that gate over there? It needs a card.
< Ohhh okay. I'll keep my eyes peeled for it! >

YEP. Just a normal day in the neighborhood on the island here, nothing to worry about! Still, the flushing caused Cass to make an absolutely horrified face. As in the most disgusting-what-was-even-ever face was happening right there.
However, it did seem like there was a way out... if they could find the card that had just vanished into an abyss of slime and yuck....
Which meant it was time to start killing more slime-chocolate-what-was-even things. Euurgh. She didn't even want to think of what they were made out of.
Then again, she didn't have to because she found that whoever was singing was quite distracting from letting her mind wander in the most pleasant of ways.
