Alex grimaced at the high card that Yin flipped over first. The odds were against Alex already, it seemed, and he reached out to flip over his own card.

A two. Seriously? "Well, I guess that means you win the first round." He said, as cheerfully as he could manage, sliding both cards towards Yin. He didn't intend on taking off his own clothes for this, not really bothered too much about getting soaked down since it wouldn't make him cold and really, come to think of it, this room was so warm that a nice cold dose of water might be welcome at this point.

Still. Losing kind of sucked.

He had won? "So easily? This truly is a simple game." And a very good start to it as well! Still, he felt slightly silly as he picked up the bottle of water. Was he supposed to use the whole bottle? Was this not a waste?

But no, Alexander had said to dump the bottle. And, well, though it felt cold against his hand that probably would not bother the zomboil in the least. So he unscrewed the lid and moved forward on his knees until he was in front of Alexander. "Are you prepared?" he waited for a moment before he upended the bottle. It was impossible to hold back a smile as the boil's hair began to flatten in a sodden mess. Victory...victory felt good. And who knew that it took that long to empty a bottle of water? He moved back to his seat and carefully screwed the lid back on, rather amused at the dripping zomboil.

"Yes, just do it." He grinned, though he squinted his eyes shut and gritted his teeth when the water hit him. It was cold, but that didn't bother him in the slightest, and in fact, was a rather nice relief from the warmth in the room. The water soaked down his hair, ran down his face and soaked through his white shirt, making it slightly see through. Maybe he should have just taken it off as well.

When he felt the cascade of water subside, he peeked an eye open, then closing it again reached up to wipe the water off of his face before flicking his hands to the floor. He probably should have grabbed some towels before they began, as the floor was going to get very wet. Oh well, no time to worry about that now! He shook his head rapidly, sending his hair flying in all directions and droplets of water splattering about, some of which would likely spray against the weremantis.

"This water...is really cold." He laughed. "Maybe we should bring the heater closer to you and put my water bottles in front of it to warm them up. That way they hopefully won't be too cold when I get you back." He grinned, before reaching out to turn over another card.

The weremantis cringed as the water struck him but he was laughing as well, head possibly filled with an image of Princess Eva when she was being given a bath that she did not want. "It probably shall not make too much of a difference, not with how quickly the rounds pass."

Alexander had flipped over a 10, which had been high enough for him to win the last round. He flipped over his own card to reveal...a person? He looked up, confusion evident on his face. "I think I chose the wrong card...do I draw another or...?"

"Oh, sorry, no, that's a Jack. It's actually an eleven, so one higher then my card." He frowned a little.

This was so far not going very well at all, for the zomboil at least.

"Theres a queen that's a twelve and a King that counts as a thirteen. If you turn over a one, or an 'ace' as it's known, that's actually the highest card and beats all of the others."

He let out a mock sigh. "So, you win again! And I still think you should bring the heater closer, even if not to warm up the water...it'll at least keep you warm and we don't want a repeat of Christmas."

Yin frowned at the explanation. "But is not Jack the pumpkin King? And the Queen should be the highest of all." Cards seemed to actually be more confusing than Alexander let on. Still, the zomboil had said that he had won yet again.

But he was also fixated on that heater. So Yin stood up and went to get the heater, moving it closer until a nice blast of heat rolled over him from where he sat. That task finished he picked up another water bottle and looked at Alexander. "I hope you get used to this quickly," he teased, and then began pouring the water on. This time he moved the bottle from side to side a bit more, effectively drenching his shoulders as well. By the time he had moved back the zomboil's shirt was now mostly translucent. He probably would have been better off just not wearing it at all.

Yes, ok, he was getting soaked for a second time. And if he wasn't mistaken, it seemed like Yin was moving the bottle around to make sure he got more of Alex wet then just his head this time. He had to laugh at that, though all that accomplished was a mouth full of water as well. His hair was plastered to his head, a lot of it hanging in his eyes. His shirt was soaked through completely and clinging to his skin in an uncomfortable manner. He really should have just taken the damned thing off.

Oh well, not much point now!

He could feel the water from his shirt starting to soak into his pants as well, but he was still smiling, though intead of shaking out his hair he tilted his head back and used a hand to push the hair out of his face and back, pressing down to squeeze the water out until it spilled down to the floor. It didn't do much to halt the steady trickle of water that was running down his neck and back, however.

"You can't win forever." He joked, reaching out with a wet hand to flip over yet another card.

A two again? Ok, maybe Yin could win forever.

At least Alexander seemed to be enjoying this as well, though why the weremantis could not figure out. This was...completely unlike their time on the train, where spilling water on Alexander had been an upsetting predicament. No, this was fun. "I do not need to win forever, Alexander, simply for seven more rounds."

He then flipped over his next card, a five, and looked up with a grin. What was seven minus one again? Six? "Make that six more rounds." And then he doused the zomboil again, kneeling in front of him as usual and grinning. But this time it seemed to take a longer time to empty the bottle, and he was beginning to feel almost bad for him as he stayed completely dry.

Ok so maybe Alex was getting a little bit fed up with being soaked with water, though one wouldn't know it by the way he was still happily smiling away. The water was keeping him cool in an otherwise very hot bedroom, and he was having a good time, and Yin seemed to be enjoying himself as well.

But then Yin was just kneeling in front of him, dumping another bottle of water over his head, his completely dry body just there, within easy grabbing distance.

It was so hard to refrain from reaching out with open arms and pulling that body down for a big soaking wet hug. Was Yin purposefully making this bottle last? It sort of felt like it was taking longer to finish washing over him then the other two did. He was getting quite a puddle of water forming beneath and around him now, as he shook his hair out again, this time doing it while Yin was still pouring and still nice and close for him to splash with the water,

Let that be a lesson to the weremantis who took his sweet time pouring the bottle.

"I'll just be happy if I win once at this point." He spluttered as he turned another card over.

Yin tried not to flinch as Alexander splashed water him, but felt like it was not completely undeserved and he laughed, rather amused with the whole situation even if the water that touched him was freezing. "Now, now, you have to be a good loser," he mock lectured, and flipped over his own card. A seven. Seven beat four. Again. He glanced up, trying to see how Alexander would react.

"You know, you never did tell me how one wins the game in full. Or what I get if I win. Do I get a special prize if you do not win a single round?" As he began talking he opened up another bottle, this time taking a sip out of it as he waited for the zomboil's answer.

Alex knew as soon as he turned over a four that he was doomed again. There was no way Yin was going to turn over a three or a two. No way. Alex just didn't have the luck for it. So it was no surprise to him even the slightest when Yin turned over a seven.

Had he seriously pissed off some higher being to deserve this?

"Can't I just be a happy but somewhat resentful loser instead?" he replied, chuckling to himself before looking down at his friend who would very soon be dumping another bottle of water over his head.

"A...special prize?" Alex asked, bemused. "Is there some kind of prize I can give you that you would want?" He eyed the open bottle of water, watching Yin take a sip out of it. What was this?? Was he being tormented now?

"Oh I am confident we could think of something. The spoils of war go to the victor after all." The mantodae smiled, and then dumped the rest of the water on the zomboil, shaking it liberally even though a stray splash did land on his chest and droplets slowly began trickling down, causing his muscles to clench in surprise.

Alexander was well soaked by this point, and the water was probably not doing anything other than running straight to the carpet, but it was the principle of the matter. The principle. Even if he did have the urge to train Alexander when he saw the way the shirt clung to his form. The boil could probably use just a bit of bulking up he noticed as he sat back, his eyes raking over the zomboil's frame.

Soaked again, not that it made any difference considering how wet he already was at this point. As he shifted in his seat the floor beneath him squelched and he winced, thinking about how his mom was going to react if she saw the mess they were making.

His shirt was so incredibly soaked, and was just...too uncomfortable. Continuing to wear it at this point was just plain ridiculous. He began fumbling at the wet knot of his tie, pulling on it and loosening it and slowly managing to slide it free as he slipped the tie over his head. He hoped the water hadn't destroyed it, thinking that he really should have perhaps had the forward thinking to take it off first. He flung that to the side, and then began attempting to unbutton his shirt as well, fingers slipping over the buttons as he slowly managed to get each one undone, stripping off the wet shirt, balling it up, and throwing it at Yin with a grin. He'd been shirtless in front of the other boil before, so it was less embarrassing for him then it might have been otherwise. He knew his body was..well, scrawny to say the least, not in the least bit as muscular or attractive as Yin's body was.

He just laughed at Yin's comment. He could think of several ways of replying but none of them were quite appropriate for one friend to say to another, so he kept them to himself as he flipped over yet another card.

Yin gasped as the wet shirt landed on him, the wet fabric chilling his skin almost immediately before he could throw it off to the side after Alexander's tie. The zomboil had flipped over a somewhat low card, a five, and Yin reached out to flip his own card over with some confidence.

A two.

He suddenly realized that he did not really want to play this game, that shirt had been cold and Alexander was armed with whole bottle of water. "I supposed it would not be fair if I won every time," he mused, and waited for Alexander to do his worst.

Alex was fully prepared to have Yin turn up another card higher then his own right now. Really, there were only three cards that could be lower, so it stood to reason that Yin would win again. And so, when Yin turned over a two, Alex actually blinked a couple of times down at the cards before his face split into a giant grin even as he reached over for the bottle of water and unscrewed the lid.

He moved to his knees, his pants soaking wet and making it difficult to maneuver as he made his way closer to the other boil. He held the bottle up over above Yin's head and began to tilt it forward, then stopped. looking down at the weremantis with some concern. "Are you sure you'll be ok with this?"
