The girl was actually shock at her own foot hitting the piece of metal. What was the chances as she spun around and put her hands up ...even as she shouted at carrot.
 "Do it now, use embers."

The fox's ears would go up and down ...as he sat on his haunches and instead of aiming it direction ahead it would be pointed upwards as he used his move in a defensive way.....hitting the metal fence with it. He would seek to warm it up enough to make the metal soft ...make it structurally unsound as the metal would weaken and bend ....and if his timing was right it would come crashing down in front of him to prevent the incoming attack of the Houndour.

Of course, the Vulpix's attempt would only work if the Embers managed to reach their target. An attack was an attack, no matter how one chose to word it. That would leave Carrot open, and unfortunately for the Vulpix, the Houndour was faster!
"Friskette use Ember!" The Security Guard would bark quickly, pointing directly toward the Vulpix.

Ears pinned against her skull, the black furred hound would spread out her legs, tilt her had, and gather flames rapidly in her maw. Releasing one short, quick breath, the Houndour would release a large smouldering ball of embers, accompanied closely by a harsh bark.

The fox would burn, and then the fence wouldn't matter...besides, they were standing plenty clear of it themselves.

The first attack would hit and it would burn as Carrot forgot about his target as it caught on fire as well and started to dance about. The pokemon finally decided that it made more sense to stop, drop, and roll ....as he rolled over and over and over. He was trying his best to put out the flames as he got back to his paws with his pelt smoking and the expression on his face was anything but pleased.

Nakano was getting ready to call out for a full fledge retreat, since they had managed to survive the first shot, but it would seem that the Vulpix had other things in mind as he would use embers himself.

What was good for the goose was good for the gander or so the say goes.

((So wrong I'm afraid. Because you called the order for Ember, that constitutes a Counter-Attack....so guess what that means?))
 (17 - 7) + (12 - 9) = 13 Damage

((The failed counter negates the resistance since it's 2x Vs /2))

The Houndour would certainly take a brief gander at those flames, before promptly bolting forward and rolling to the left. She wasn't simply dodging however, though that's certainly wanted it to look that way. Her plan was to circle around to the back of the girl, cutting off escape.

Houndour were pack animals by nature, they worked in groups or in pairs to take down their prey. Escape could not be allowed. One of many reasons they made such fantastic guard dogs.

The Vulpix was caught hard by the attack ...by the attack as the flames had caused more damage then at first thought. He would push his ears flat against his skull as he showed off his fangs ...this wasn't a fair fight as he watches as the Houndour avoided his attack and then circle around to the back ...as he hunkers down closer to the ground. His feet were spread apart as he ready himself for the next attack that might come his way.

((A poor choice of words, but a fatal mistake. You should have known better, it was covered when you were taught how to battle. Never call the name of an attack for a defense.))
"Friskette Ember!" The black clad guard would order sharply, the Houndour giving a sharp bark in reply.

Sliding to a halt on her paws the Houndour would raise her maw high, embers beginning to smoulder and burn at the back of her throat. Then in one harsh bark they would be released, launching forward in a condensed ball at the back of the Vulpix!

Though he was much more prepared than he had been before ...the flames would find nothing as he darts to the side ....as he allowed the heat to blow past him. He was a creature of the flames as well, and unlike the dark type that only shared it partially with him ...it was all of him. It consumed his soul, his spirit, his mind, and he wasn't about to be defeated by his own flames as he would curl it in his own maw.
If only he could hit with enough force to burn the black fur one, if he could, he would teach him another of his powers ..much stronger than the first as he sent out his flames in scattering of tiny embers. Small insignificant, unless they caught upon something that could be fuel, for there was oxygen a plenty around them ...and then it would burn hot and powerfully.

"We were going for stealth, Carrot."

Nakano would speak ....critizing his move, since it only cause more small flames ...pin points of light that could be seen by others ...as the Vulpix attacked.

(Very poor, but don't worry, I won't make that mistake again)

"Keep on the move Friskette! Maintain precise distance!" The black clad security guard ordered, his tone firm and calm as he spoke. While his Pokemon was battling the man had taken the time to position himself carefully on the park's side of the fence. No matter how quickly she might run, Nanako would have no chance of getting passed him without winning this battle.
Moving on swift paws, the Houndour would reverse her direction, once more running to the backside of the Vulpix; a location now closer to where she'd stood at the beginning of this battle. It wasn't simply about staying at Carrot's back, but attempting to find the Fire-Type's blindspot!

Carrot would miss as he watches those bits of embers hit the ground ...burning out and sizzlingly the earth. He had missed as his tail would flip once in his own disgust at failing ....as he would leap forward swiftly ...he plan to make it harder to hit him with those flames by getting in closer. It was a foolish strategy as he would aim to make the Houndour lose his focus by having to back up and away from the fast moving fox.
Ears pin back as he made the run.

"Stay frosty Friskette" The Guard commanded in a warning tone, his eyes watching carefully as the Vulpix ran in. It seemed as if the man were waiting for something...
With a harsh bark in reply, the Houndour would begin to issue a low warning growl to the incoming Vulpix. Embers would begin to smoulder and burn around her tongue, wisps of flame and smoke peaking through the faint gaps made by her scarcely open maw. She was waiting for something as well...though what was likely more obvious.

The guard continues to wait, his eyes narrowing almost to slits as he judged the moment. Friskette wasn't backing up like the Vulpix had expected, and there was only one reason...

"NOW!!!" The man barked loudly, striking his foot against the ground as he jerked forward slightly. Carrot had drawn in close, too close, the very reason the tactic was so dangerous. At such range, missing was neigh impossible!

With a husky bark and the snap of flames, the Houndour would release the embers she'd been building in her mouth in a single, thick, powerful blast. This Carrot was about to be flambeed!

A fox before a hound, was always a trick situation with the fox running away ....as the little fox would seem to disappear in front of her eyes as the flames would miss behind him. He would leap then ....catching the metal on the side as he would be bounded backwards at his opponent as his tails would flick from side to side as he would come hurling at his opponent ...the embers in his mouth would swirl and curl as he would twist his body around and around in a tornado like pattern until the embers themselves would fly in a circle that made his embers seem to rain make small twister of their own as he would touch on the ground to the right of the houndour's shoulder.
A fox is good at bounding and jumping, while a dog can only run after as Carrot flicks his ears. If it worked out right, those embers would catch and burn him, but only if he did it right.

The dog growled slightly. No hound was keen on being out foxed when on the hunt; but there was a reason that foxes feared that same hound despite their tricks. Barking slightly, eyes narrowed, then Houndour would bolt forward, head held low as she ran at full speed. Her plan and intent was really rather simple.
Friskette planned to run entirely passed the fox and those smouldering flames.

Carrot would catch him with his embers. It wasn't as hot as it should have been ....as he lands on his paws, with his tail flicking form side to side. A smug look was on his face. Afterall, his opponent hadn't managed to avoid his embers the way he had plan, but one thing was starting to become quite clear.

This was a fight that the fox couldn't win easily as Nakano saw the man's movements. It was a foolish idea, she wasn't someone whom felt the same sort of remorse as others. She was shinobi born, and that idea of honor didn't even fit into the same category as she smiles at him even as she would take out a single kunai from her chest strap.

He had decided to challenge her and she accepted it as she would twist it once in her hand before she would hurl it at his feet.

"I won't allow you to take my by surprise."

Nakano would tell him with a glare on her face.

"Friskette, Ember" The man spoke in a blunt, dark tone now, not even flinching when the girl pulled a weapon of her own. It was clear by the look upon his face he didn't see her, or her kunai as any sort of threat. Who did she think she was dealing with after all?
The Houndour snuffed slightly as the Vulpix's embers actually managed to singe a small amount of her fur. Yet like her master, the dog didn't seem particularly concerned. Placing all four paws firmly against the ground, the canine tilted her head back, summoning up the flames from deep within herself and allowing them to father and grow in the depths of her maw. When she was certain she had enough she released them in a single fiery blast, accompanied by a short harsh bark.

The Kunai was embedded at his feet ...as the girl smirked darkly. She smirked, it had been close to his toes by inches as the bladed side rest against his shoe ....as she grins at him.
No, he might not see them as a threat, but they were ....as the watches as Carrot avoids another volley of flames. His paws would start to churn up the earth as he would start forward ..the flames were in his mouth ...as he open it wide ...as he would race past his opponent as he let it dribble out of his mouth ...making a track of two rows of flames on both side of him like a fiery streaks from a car.

His tails stretched out behind him as he made the run.

HE would let those embers burn his opponent in his wake as he grounds his attack to a stop pass him and closer to his trainer.

 Nakano would smile at him.

"So, do we dance as well? Or, will our pokemon get to have all the fun."

She would flick her arm as she would pull another kunai from her strap and flash it in his face. Which one was real, and which one was a pokeball is always a questionable affair.
