(Trainers, Jerome, Mau, anyone else nearby)
As they headed out onto the dance floor, the sound of the new song thumping in his ears, they were waylaid by a Gengar that Izumi seemed to know. Bro. Jerome’s? Perhaps, and it had drinks. Dith was suspicious of said drinks, mostly just because it was a party and he knew very well indeed how parties could go; alcohol was the least of his concerns. Luckily however he also knew very well that his view of such matters was rather skewed thanks to his profession; not every party involved something awful getting into the punch.
Deciding that the chances of there being something really bad in the punch were low Dith gave the ghost type a small smile. “May I also have one, umm, Bro was it?” Oh! Finally somebody who looked over twenty five, and also somebody who stood rather above the rest of the crowd. Dith gave his fellow skyscraper a friendly grin and a nod, always was nice to meet other ridiculously tall people.

As the new song came on Frost grimaced internally. He didn’t like this. He didn’t want to be here. Couldn’t he and Xander just have gone and done something together? They could have gone to the forest, or they could have had dinner somewhere or... something. Something other than this. Xander had wanted to though, Xander needed what normal people considered decent socialisation at least from time to time. Compromises. It was only fair. Xander put up with his strangeness without complaint, and so it was only right that on occasion he put his strangeness on hold, or at least do his best to hide it....
Good grief that scarred Infernape really was obnoxious. Frost remained deadpan, once again ignoring the lout as he asked his sarcastic little question. What a testosterone fuelled twerp. Well Team Rocket did need muscle as well as brain he supposed, so such things couldn’t be helped. Sadly. As Claire arrived and put in her comment Frost almost smiled, but only almost. “I presume they will replenish it,” he commented to the group at large after a moment, in reference to the punch bowl. “If you’re quick you might even be able to get some before it’s spiked again... unless that is the whole point of drinking it anyway?” Woo-hoo. Unidentified alcohol. What a jolly time that sounded lik-
Good grief.
As Hayes was almost knocked flat Frost raised his eyebrows, although the expression was difficult to see behind his helmet. “A friend of yours, Mr Hayes?” he quizzed politely whilst internally feeling glad it wasn’t his drink that had gone everywhere, doubly so when Izaya appeared and started drying her off.
Ugh. What was he doing here? He wished he hadn't come, and he had known he would feel that way when he set off from base. Loud music, people he didn’t care to interact with, drinks being spilled everywhere, crowds.... He just wanted to go home, but instead he sipped at his overly sugary, overly caffeinated beverage and tried to get into a ‘normal person’ mindset. This was a party. This was fun. They were having fun. What fun.

(Punch bowl crowd)
He recognised the voice before the face. She was blonde tonight and blue eyed. For just a moment she reminded him of Vivian, but he firmly pushed the comparison aside; Claire was nothing like that b***h.... Arceus she looked stunning in that outfit, it fitted her amazingly well and hung and flowed just right. “Umm.... Thanks. You look good too.” Very. The annoyance Aulus had felt at the chilly engineer just a moment ago had totally fled his mind. She was gorgeous, lit very faintly from behind by those odd glowing wings, and smirking at him, and-
And at that point Aulus was distracted by a loud shriek. Fortunately he wasn’t startled enough to grab the girl as she flung herself onto Hayes. Hu. Nice legs she had. What would Claire look like in an outfit like that?... Oh, maybe he ought to have grabbed her actually, now there was drink everywhere. Ha. Poor woman was getting herself dabbed off by some lucky guy in an awful outfit. Maybe if somebody spilled a drink on Claire he could wipe her down, or maybe she’d even need to go and take a hot steamy shower and- Okayenoughofthatbadthoughtsverybad.
Aulus tuned back into the real world from the land of sensual lathering just in time to hear the girl who’d flung herself at Hayes – weird to hear him called Alex – ask which friend had dragged him here. “That’d be me,” he put in with a grin, “took some doing, but I eventually managed to drag him away from his computer.... So who are you then? Old friend of his? Oh, you can call me Aulus by the way.”

@ Aila and Dance Floor People
That answer was good enough for Asch and he rose to his feet as well, taking a moment to straighten out his skirt. This was so humiliating, and undoubtably he'd look like an idiot dancing with a girl while he looked like a girl himself. C'est la vie. Walking with Aila onto the dance floor, he offered his hand to take hers.
Now, it had been a very long time since Asch had been to a party where there was dancing. He distinctly remembered the ones his parents had dragged him to when he was a child, as well as some of the dancing lessons he received. However, he would certainly be a bit rusty. Glancing at the couples already dancing, he studied the moves for a moment. Letting it come back to him, Asch turned towards his partner and put an arm around her waist to take the lead.

Out of the corner of his vision, Nakura thought he saw a purple ballgown and a gold-trimmed, blue, feathered hat make it out onto the dance floor together. Another glance caused the superhero's lips to part slightly in astonishment. Asch and Aila...? Dancing together? What was this?
Neither Aila nor Asch struck the grunt as people would dance, let alone in public and together. Was this some sort of joke? A trick, perhaps? He witnessed the princess place his hand on the cowgirl's waist, deciding that the picture it made was remarkably more awkward than his and Natalia's. Since when did Aila allow anyone to touch her like that?
She hadn't even liked it when Izaya had pretended to be her boyfriend on a couple of occasions for the sake of public display. Was it because Asch was cross-dressing that she didn't mind now? Was it because he was closer in age to her, or maybe because he was her partner?
Whatever the case, Izaya's bitterness only worsened. Worst of all, he couldn't see any obligation whatsoever for the girl to be dancing with Asch. There was no mission, no reason for her to be pretending, even as marvelous an actress as she was. Was she doing it to spite him? Was Asch? He hadn't taken either teen to be of that nature. What in the world was going on? Had he just misjudged them?
As Natalia and Nakura passed Asch and Aila on the dance floor during the slow song (it seemed to be a dark, circus-themed waltz), the hero tried to catch Asch's eye, wondering what the heck the agents were up to. It was more likely he had put Aila up to this than the other way around, particularly with the vulnerable state Izaya had last left her in.

(People around the punch bowl - particularly Frost) Lasi shadowed the Gengar a little way, then watched as he was approached by other pokemon. The bat took up roost, upside-down upon a light fitting. Perhaps he could be helpful too. But how? With an upside-down grin, the upside-down Golbat surveyed the room. What did people /need/? Or want? Well. The ghost was doing drinks and the Golbat knew how happy food made himself sooo... His attention turned once again the the snack table and he flapped down, across the room toward the food. Self control go! He'd only eat for-si-sev-eighty percent of whatever he grabbed... He could do that. Lasi went for cake, scooping a few cupcakes into his mouth. Some were swallowed, but he could offer the rest around to people! Helpful bat! ... Of course, the first person he saw without food happened to be Frost. The pink bat pokemon fluttered that way immediately to settle before the engineer and try and offer the cakes he held stored.
(Anyone) Tambrey half wanted to dance but also didn't want to. She was rather embarrassed by the idea of dancing, especially without anyone she could dance with. She'd wandered out a little as the punch bowl became crowded, then taken a curve and found herself a table instead. She'd been around to see some of the commotion as someone collided with Hayes, but had made an 'escape' of sorts while Isadora was being knocked over. Now she was contenting herself with watching the dance floor and the couples upon it. Her punch was finished, yet she was still holding onto the cup somewhat pointlessly. She missed her bat's antics as she watched the dancing.

(Punch bowl club~)
Claire offered Isadora another smile before waving her hand in a dismissive gesture at Faleen's apology. "Oh, no, it's fine. It is a party, after all," she reminded her. People were bound to wander off to explore or dance or... drink. Ugh. Speaking of, she wrinkled her nose a bit at Frost's suggestion. "I never drink punch at parties." Ever. Plus even if it was refilled, the bowl would still have some residual..stuff left in it, and she wouldn't touch it anyway. "I'm fine with soda," she shrugged after the internal monologue.
She would've liked to surprise Aulus without anybody mentioning her name, but she figured by now he'd be able to see through it without an issue, so with an internal shrug she aimed a smile at him. "Thanks. D'you like the wings? Faleen helped me out and made them glow," she explained, looking over one shoulder at the faintly glowing rods that were supposed to be 'wings'. Even if they weren't that bright right now, if the lights ever went out they'd probably definitely look awesome. Either way, her attention was drawn back to Hayes - Alex? - and this girl. Either she was a girlfriend or some friend or sibling. She was curious about which it was.

(Luke, Sheena)
Dancing was interrupted when Rosie caught sight of someone being bumped into by Luke. The blond stopped dancing, and stepped over to see if the were okay, smiling kindly at the girl as well, who seemed to be a superhero tonight.

(Jerome)
Izumi downed her drink rather quickly, and dropped it into a near by trashcan, not even noticing that someone had spiked it. The angel made her way back to the group quickly, and giggled when the next song started up. It wasn't exactly dance-club type music, but dancing wasn't hard to do, you just had to move around. Whatever this song was, it sounded fun. Izumi grabbed both of Jerome's hands and smiled at him, trying to twirl around with him a few times. "Lets dance!"

Where was Rosie? She still wasn't dancing! Not that Sera needed anyone to dance with in order to feel comfortable dancing, but it was more fun with friends now that she had some. Oh well. Sera spun in another circle before her pale green eyes lighted on the floating Gengar carrying cups he was giving to other people. He looked gross, but - "Is that punch?" She asked him as she reached up for a cup. Hopefully somebody had the decency and good taste to spike it by now - and equally hopefully it hadn't been the Gengar.

(Dith, Guy,)
Bro wasn't stingy with the drinks, both Guy and Dith had drinks shoved at him, and someone else, a pretty feathered lady was asking for a drink as well. Bro smirked, and held it casually out to her, making a clicking noise with his teeth. The Gangar then finished off the last cup he was holding. his eye half lidded with a smug expression, he crushed the up in his hand and let it drop to the floor. suddenly popping out of view again after a wink to Anonomys.
(Izumi)
The progress to the dance floor was slow, since they now had drinks, Jerome could smell that there was more in the drink then punch, but he drank it anyway, slower then Izumi, who finished it off and was ready to dance.
The dark man paused, peering over the rim of his drink when Izumi started dancing around him. this drew a light chuckle, downing the rest of his punch and tossing the cup aside.
Jerome was not a trained dancer, but he did do clubs in his life, and he knew how to dance without making himself look like an idiot. He stepped into Izumi letting her dance away while remaining mostly stationary. He was respectful however, he knew how carried away club dancing could get.
(Sera, Sheena, Luke Other trainers around)
Rosie glanced over at Sera, who was still dancing on her own, Izumi and Jerome had joined as well! with Dith and Mau not to far behind. "Come on." She said to Luke and the new Superhero. gesturing to them. "Its more fun in a group."
and with that, Rosie lead into a spin and lightly bumped into Sera, with a slight giggle, stepping back to dance with enough space.

@Sheena, Rosie "Heh, can't imagine anyone that drew 'doormat' for their costume would stick around long enough to wear it," Luke replied, his expression responding to the unsavory nature of the idea. The extended hand caught him mildly off-guard before he remembered his courtesies. Handshake, basic greeting. Duh. "Luke," he replied, biting back the remnant urge to proudly proclaim his full name. Never knew what kind of people he was meeting, after all. He gestured to his pirate companion, "This is Rosie." ________ @Asch Aila accepted Asch's lead with a practiced grace, passingly grateful that the music suited the only style of dance she knew how to perform with a partner. Her steps matched the music and responded to her partner's lead, but her thoughts meandered across various ideas and memories, leaving her heart largely absent from the dance and her eyes largely absent from her surroundings.

(Jerome, Dith, Punch People!)
Izumi didn't give any sign that she noticed or cared that Jerome was almost standing still. It still counted as dancing, and they were having fun anyway. The angel was content to basically bounce around and swing Jerome's hands around playfully.
When the creepy circus song ended, Izumi let go of Jerome's hands and put her's behind her back, tilting her head and smiling. "I'm going to go get another drink, I'll be back~" And with that she was off to fight her way through the crowd at the punch bowl.

[Bro, Dancing people, anyone really] -
Guy blinked in surprise as the odd-looking Gengar shoved a drink into his hand and disappeared on the spot. He looked down at the drink somewhat dubiously, then shrugged and chugged it down. If it was punch, then that was just peachy. If it was spiked, well... He would just be a little tipsy. No harm, no foul. After finishing the drink and throwing away the now empty cup, Guy walked over to the edge of the dancing crowed, making sure to stay away from any wayward dancers.
Anonymes stared at the spot where the Gengar had been not two moments ago. The Lampent appeared to frown. Well. That was a little rude. He had just asked for a drink to take to his master, and that Gengar just handed a drink to his master himself! That was his master. His master. Anon hovered indignantly back to Guy and clung to his master's right arm once again. Anon loved his master. His master.

Sierra (@ Punch Bowl Crowd) Trusting her companion to take care of himself, Sierra let him be and did some wandering of her own. It wasn't long, however, before Khalon rejoined the 'mummy' at her side empty pawed. It seemed that the Gengar had run out of punch (or just drank it all), so no luck there. Sierra gave Khalon a friendly pat before straightening up. "Eh, there's got to be something more to drink. Come on." The pair headed towards the drink table, noting that there was a cooler of sodas if nothing else. A bit of a crowd had gathered, as it will at such parties around the food and drink tables, and she scanned the crowd for familiar faces. The costumes made things more difficult than they already were, but at least one face caused a small spark in her memory to flare up. What was his name again? Err...Frost? Yes, that was it! Not that they'd exactly made good friends or anything, but it was someone she'd met before, if briefly. More in passing, at least in dealing with that new recruit's phobia of Pokemon...she wondered idlly how he was doing with that...? Shaking off the thought, she slipped into the group, doing her best not to jostle anyone, or seem like she was intruding in anyone's personal space or conversations. Just a polite nod here and there, a respectful distance. "Evening," she addressed no one in particular, then eyed the chaos of the drink table, and of the nearby snack table. "Err...seems that some are enjoying the party a bit more enthusiastically than others," she offered awkwardly. ===== Sheena (@ Rosie, Luke, and dance floor) "Heh heh, yeah...that'd be kinda' silly, wouldn't it?" Sheena chuckled lamely, her expression momentarily betraying her awkward embarrassment. Really? That's all she could come up with? Pathetic! Still, she shook his hand, and while the blond seemed distracted, she nodded to her as well. As soon as they broke contact, she folded her hands before her and bowed to them both, completely out of habit. "A pleasure to meet you both." She seemed to behave as if nothing were amiss by this action, and only smiled at them. A sudden weight, fluffy and light as it might be, purposefully 'nudged' against her ankle, and she shot a disapproving glance downwards. "And the fluffball there," she continued without missing a beat, "is Gnome. Or Fluffball works too." The Eevee made a face at this to display his displeasure at the nickname. Sheena ignored this completely with a sweet smile. Then, back to the other humans, she noted Rosie's exit and followed the invitation obediently, if a bit hesitantly. "Err, so...dancing, eh?" she offered the question, silently berating herself for failing at simple conversation. Why did she suck so bad at just talking to people at a party?

@ Trainers/Dith
Mau watched as some of the kids started dancing. When the ghost came and began offering drinks, he almost laughed. That was a pretty good trick, getting a pokemon to play waiter. He wondered if pokemon were serving at the party, but then the giant beast-man beside him addressed the pokemon. Bro? Hm. Then perhaps it belonged to one of the younger crowd. The name sort of implied as much.
When Dith grinned at him, Mau returned the gesture before the mustache on his face itched. Irritating faux fur! After a moment of trying to 'adjust' the costume hair he turned to the man. "Nice to see another responsible adult here." He hadn't seen anyone in the upper age bracket either, but this guy was not exactly a spring chicken. "Are you chaperoning?" He asked lightly, about to fold his hands behind his back, but stopped and offered his hand to the larger man. "As you may have heard Rosie state, I'm Mau."

((Guy and DANCE CREW!)) "Alrighty see you later Guy." Charlotte replied to Guy response to dancing. She was about to turn back around when she said "OH! Guy we she really hang out sometime!" she waved and then was off back to her fellow dancers.
Just in time in fact to see the fairy-redhead trip on a girl sitting on the dance floor. Why in the world was she doing that? She reached Rosies side again when intros were made, oh yeah, Luke, Charlotte knew that. And the superhero, or doormat as she jokingly called heself was Sheena. "Hey Sheena, I'm Charlotte, nice to meet ya' " Charlotte looked down at the eevee, aw so cute. Gnome, she liked that name. Now would dancing finally commence? Charlotte didn't want to lead the others into it so she decided to wait and see what they did.
