✿ Consuela Luz Maria Rodriguez ✿ The Rebellious Sophomore The Mexican girl was terrorizing innocent people from the shadows, something she wanted to do before killing them. Decided to have a bit of fun before destruction. She turned her head as she heard the man who ran off call to her "heh, are you still calling me by that name? This may be her body, but she's no longer the person you call her sister." Estados Unidos Mexicanos United Mexican States Spanish >> English {Out Of Mexico City:}

 Sr. Romero ValentínRepública Bolivariana de Venezuela ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Romero shrugged as he sauntered closer to María, his right hand resting casually on his sword hilt and his left on his gun holster. “Forgive me, demon; I don’t know you by any other name,” he quipped, stopping when he thought he could see his possessed sister’s glowing red eyes. “If you have an issue with me calling you that, why don’t you introduce me? I for one wouldn’t mind knowing exactly who it is I am cutting down.”

✿ Consuela Luz Maria Rodriguez ✿ The Rebellious Sophomore The girl just laughed maniacally "Do you really intent to kill me? You do know if you hurt me, you hurt the poor girl I'm possessing. And don't bother try exorcism. This isn't spiritual possession. I fought this girl many months ago. She succeeded in killing me, but was completely unaware that my blood seeped into her wounds. That was how I was able to get into her body." Estados Unidos Mexicanos United Mexican States Spanish >> English {Out Of Mexico City:}

 Sr. Romero ValentínRepública Bolivariana de Venezuela ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ The Venezuelan had already known that he couldn’t do anything too severe to this demon simply because it held Marías’s body; as a result, his prior words had largely been bluff. He did not, however, know before that this evil force could not be exorcised—and while he himself had no ability to perform an exorcism, it hurt to know that Arthur wouldn’t be able to try the same thing.
Mierda. That was one possible victory gone to waste.
The only remotely useful thing Romero had gleaned from his bluffing was insight as to how long ago María had contracted this supernatural ‘disease’. Too bad that that didn’t offer him any way to reverse or temporarily stop her. The Venezuelan idly wondered if Luis, who had been raised on considerably more religion than he, would be able to offer any help… but, given that he remembered very little from his religion classes himself, the Atlantic Spaniard doubted that Argentina would be of much use.
As he was much more a warrior than a magician, Romero decided that the only thing he could do was what he did best—fight traditionally. Conventionally, the best way to defeat one’s opponent was to stall them out until their weaknesses were exposed and exploit them. Too, there had to be something important in her blood, especially since this demon had been able to invade María that way. Even more, Romero wished that he’d actually succeeded in taking her to the doctor, if only to take a look at that toxic black blood…
Lacking that, the Venezuelan ran at his possessed Mexican sister and rolled to the side as he came within six feet of her. When he hopped up again, he aimed a punch at María’s face. “You must be pretty weak if María could hold you off that long, demonio!” he remarked, retreating again. “If she could defeat you once, she can certainly do it again!” Not only was he attempting to goad the demon into spilling out even more vital information, Romero was also calling out to María herself with a rare compliment. He was certain that Mexico had not perished, but rather been subordinated within her own body, and if he could just rally her to defeat the demon again, then the fight might end even sooner than he imagined it would.

✿ Consuela Luz Maria Rodriguez ✿ The Rebellious Sophomore She felt the blow to her face. She placed her hand on her cheek and simply grinned "You think is this first time I came out? I've awakened on several occasions. Every time she gets angry or sad, I show up. And you know how much she gets angry, so she's a good vessel." She just shook her head "No, she couldn't defeat me alone. She had help, she and a friend were the ones who delivered the final blow." She summoned two dark spears in each hand "I wonder, if I kill you, would she be sad? She is the type that seems to push others away when she needs help. So, I'm sure she doesn't really care about her family." Estados Unidos Mexicanos United Mexican States Spanish >> English {Out Of Mexico City:}

 Sr. Romero ValentínRepública Bolivariana de Venezuela ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Romero was disappointed to find that his prior bold claim had in fact been an inaccurate one. He was pleased, however, that his possessed sister had given him another line of attack, the one that had eluded him just moments before. If María's negative emotions opened her to demonic possession, then it stood to reason that positive emotions could almost certainly motivate her to take her body back.
And, the Venezuelan realized with a burst of elation, even if Mexico had not been able to defeat the demon singlehandedly, she had at least been able to control it for quite some time without anyone knowing. She was, after all, a strong and independent nation, and pity could have made things worse for everyone who gave her it. María had probably tried to protect Romero and the doctor--heck, probably the entire school since the doctor worked on campus--just now by refusing to let the doctor see her in the first place!
"You're wrong," Romero said, privately surprised at his own conviction. After pausing a second or two for effect, Romero pressed his advantage. "No me importa cuantas veces me dice que María es débil. Even if you have appeared before, that doesn't account for the fact that my sister has suppressed you for far longer than you, her. Yes, if she had told me and nuestra familia, we might have been able to help her overcome you once and for all. But she did not--and I will tell you why."
The Venezuelan circled slowly around, watching for an opportunity to attack without causing severe damage--not an easy task, since nonfatal attacks required a subtle restraint. He kept talking. "I'm not saying it was better for María to hide it like that, but she probably did so precisely because she loves her family. So yes--if you kill me, it would make mi hermana sad."
Once he thought he had surprised the demon enough, Romero stopped circling and crooked an insolent finger at her. "Come," he invited. "Just go ahead and try to kill me. I won't hold back--and I promise you, neither will María. Ven, María!" the Venezuelan suddenly shouted, making no effort to move from his current position. "Estás más fuerte que ese demonio! Puedes vencerlo! Sí se puede!"

 Sr. Romero ValentínRepública Bolivariana de Venezuela ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Romero merely hopped out of the way, stubbornly holding onto his own conviction. As the wind whistled harmlessly past his hair, the Venezuelan shook his head. “You lie,” he answered easily. “María’s stubbornness means that she believes that she is strong enough to defeat you. Who are you to claim to know the strength of the human soul? Come on, María!” he ordered again. “You are stronger that this pitiful little spirit! No matter how strong he claims to be, he is just a parasite in a body that you own! Why give in to some disembodied invader when you refuse to give in to anyone else? Lúchalo, María!”

 ☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀Rutilio was plagued with trying to come up with something he should bring or do for what had to have been Georgia asking him on a date. Had anyone told him a few weeks ago he would be asked out on a date--or seriously dating for that matter--he would have laughed in their face. Especially if they had told him it was his old arch enemy! What did one do when their most hated rival, who they were going out with, asked them on a date? The stereotypical bouquet of flowers was a possibility, but was that too corny? It felt corny. He hated being corny! ... But Christian might like it... He was into old fashioned traditions when it came to some things. Florida sighed as he resigned himself to the fact he was about to do something really corny, but stopped mid-step when he heard a familiar voice crying out in obvious distress. "N-No! Stop! this is my body now!""Maria?" Rutilio's eyes widened as he looked down the back alley and saw his beloved cousin gripping her head while Venezuela stood in front of her. What the hell!? Weren't they supposed to be siblings!? Florida's eyes narrowed as an old instinct started kicking in. Regardless of their relationship, he wasn't about to stand idly by and watch the nation he had been born to protect threatened by anyone. Especially not if they were potentially trying to claim her body! His eyes scanned the immediate area and he quickly plucked up a long, abandoned piece of pipe which would serve the place of his old halberd. Without warning he darted forward, putting himself between Mexico and Romero. He swung at the male nation more as a warning to back off or risk getting hit than as a serious attack and glared angrily at the elder man. "You will keep your hands off my prima," he warned. ☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀<> <>

 Sr. Romero ValentínRepública Bolivariana de Venezuela ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Romero smirked triumphantly as the possessed María halted her insults and instead clutched at her head, shouting that her body now belonged to the demon. He stood aside and merely watched the exchange, for he saw no reason to get physically involved yet. Waiting and dodging certainly cost less energy than attempting to knock Mexico out.
Before he could shout more encouragement to his sister, though, the Venezuelan heard another voice approaching from the other end of the alleyway. Romero turned to see Rutilio standing there with his mouth ajar in shock. He had been hoping for Arthur, but any help was much appreciated. The Venezuelan was about to greet Florida and request his help in their little situation when that stupid state barged in and took a swipe at Romero’s face.
“Ay! What the hell are you doing?!” he complained, ducking the blow just barely in time. He didn’t manage to fully evade Rutilio’s unexpected attack, and the state’s rusty pipe glanced off the top of his head. Romero righted himself and rubbed his head furiously as he forced himself to listen to Rutilio’s words. His eyes widened at what the Floridian had just ordered him to do.
“’You will keep your hands off my’--! Listen here, you puta!” Romero snarled, infuriated at being distracted by an unreasonably hostile state when he had just begun making headway. Without warning, his hand lashed out and pinned the Floridian to the side of an ancient air-conditioning unit nearby. “María may be your prima, but she is mi hermana. I don’t know about you, but I am not some incestuous pervert who enjoys f***ing around with my own blood relatives. How dare you barge in here and claim to know something when you have absolutely no idea what is going on?!”
The Venezuelan gave Florida a contemptuous glare and released him, allowing him to slump to the ground. Then, he exhaled, seeming to visibly calm down, and turned his gaze back to María, who was still fighting internally against the demon. “Now then,” he said with an icy calm, not facing Rutilio. “If you really want to help, it seems that María has had some demon locked inside her for several months. From what she’s just told me, she contracted it through its black blood. Making her feel anger, sadness, or any other negative emotion awakens the demon, and that is exactly what has happened here.” Romero did not add that he had inadvertently facilitated this particular awakening. “Who you see before you is not María—it is the demon inside her. Mi hermana’s wind magic makes it difficult to attack it physically, and any physical blow hurts her too.”
At that sentence, the Spaniard gestured potently to his sheathed sword. “I managed to get María’s spirit to begin fighting the demon by rallying her with honest praise. I suggest you try the same. In the meantime, stay out of my way, and don’t get hurt. Me oye? That's it!” Romero hollered at his internally conflicted opponent. "Lucha! Lucha! Estas mas fuerte que un espiritu patetico!"

 ☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀Florida cringed as he was slammed into the air conditioner, but was far from stunned. He got much worse than this on a nearly yearly basis with all the hurricanes and tropical storms he had to put up with. If there was one thing the State of Florida knew how to do it was to roll with the punches. Without missing a beat and certainly not moved by Romero's words, the former pirate hunter narrowed his eyes and repositioned himself between the nations, brandishing his pipe and seeming even more determined than ever to smack the Venezuelan with it if he tried to approach Mexico. "I made no accusation of incest..." Rutilio pointed out acidly. What was that saying North Carolina used so much? The bit dog always hollers? Yes, that sounded right and from his perspective it was very applicable here. Why else would Romero spout off something about incest if it wasn't on his mind already? Disgusting pig! Worst of all he sounded completely out of his mind. Demon? Black blood? Who would blindly believe such an insane story? "Stay away from my prima," Florida warned angrily as he gripped his pipe tighter almost as if now he had to restrain himself from behaving violently. He was so sick of these perverts trying to take advantage of women. Luz Maria was strong--much stronger than him--but that didn't mean he would sit by idly and twiddle his thumbs while she was in danger. Not if he could help it even if sometimes the best protection he could offer was as a meat shield. ☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀<> <>

 ☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀Florida hesitated. Ayudame? Since when did Maria ever ask for help? Earlier that day in class he had to practically beg her to let him so much as worry about her and now she was calling on him for help...? Rutilio's expression lost its venom and hostility towards Venezuela although he didn't lower his pipe. Mexico was certainly acting oddly. Perhaps Romero really was serious about thinking she was possessed. It was a silly thing to believe, of course, but he might not be making up excuses. The Floridian finally lowered his weapon before turning to her with one of his usual bright and sunny smiles. "I do not think that is necessary, Maria. He is being overly superstitious, but I am here now so he cannot hurt you, si? I will not tolerate anyone bullying mi prima," Rutilio said more than asked cheerfully as he kept himself between the two nations and kept his pipe at his side in case Romero tried any sudden moves. "For now let us get you some place to rest. I knew you should have napped more earlier... You sound tired." His eyes darted back to Romero and he frowned disapprovingly. "You should know better than name calling," he scolded. "I think you owe Maria an apology. Do not insult her anymore while she is not feeling well. It is not like this is the 1600s when we blamed demons and magic for every little twitch." Though he was no longer overtly hostile, Florida was still agitated over Romero's supposed insensitivity and wary that this man might further upset Mexico. If he was this superstitious he might try some other less than tasteful methods of the 1600s to "cure" her. ☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀<> <>
