There was a sad sense of loss when the duck girl put him down on the ground. Still, he took her hand, and tried to look as tall and manly as he could despite his height. It really just ended up looking more comical.
"Okay. Let's do this. So if you see a giant skeleton dude? You found them. He's pretty obvious looking. The last place I saw them was at the bat booth. Would you believe some a** up and kicked me into the air like a football?"
His puffed up chest deflated slightly. "Man, this place is for the birds."
Realization of his unintended insult in three.. two..
"UH. I MEAN. NOT THAT THAT'S A BAD THING. BIRDS ARE AWESOME. No, seriously. I love ducks." Was he making things worse? Hell to the yes he was. His face had turned a dazzling shade of red as he pulled his pointed hat down over his face, and let her lead him out of the wishing well in embarrassed silence.

The seed was already at hand when Levia glided over to the well. She took a moment to watch all the other creatures, a wish here, a kiss and wish there. The grombie smiled fondly, made a wish of her own, and dropped the seedling in.

Continuing her journey around the festival grounds, Riyo seemed to pause at the sight of a well. A wishing well? Preposterous. Wishes didn't 'magically' happen. They were granted through the blood, sweat, and tears of those who really wanted them.
But...
Glancing around quickly to make sure nobody was watching her, the feline pulled out a seed and quickly tossed it in. By no means was she lucky, but maybe things would change after such a harsh day.

Marosa was back again to try his luck. He flipped the seed into the well, feeling dejected as he watched it go with a sinking feeling.
After the first good luck, the well just hadn't liked him since.
He'd have to try yet again later.
