Marosa blinked, and then let out a short laugh, grinning wide. "Nae, lass. Ah'm a faerie. We aren't caterpillars, nor butterflies..." He blinked at her, waving a hand. "Ye can call meh Marosa." He fluttered his wings slightly, blushing just a little bit. He wasn't used to compliments, or... whatever she was giving. Hadn't she ever heard of a faerie before?
Well, mister foot in mouth, haven't you ever seen a manticore before? His conscience nagged at him, reminding him to not be so Jacking ridiculous in assuming that everyone knew what he was. Not everyone knew what a Gancanagh was, after all.
"What are ye?" He wondered aloud, motioning towards her tail and horns. She was really neat looking!
(( I totally fail and just totally remembered he was supposed to be speaking in a Scottish accent THE WHOLE TIME /headdesk ))

Xiu couldn't help but perk up as she was awarded a piece of candy for her table-flipping efforts. She was better at this than she thought! ...not that she making a career out of table-flipping anytime soon, but it was nice that she won something. Maybe she could collect some more candy and trade it in for a prize or too--it seemed like there was a fair variety of prizes to earn.
However, before she could head towards the other games and stock up on more candy, she was suddenly approached by a pink-haired ghoul. Xiu gave her a quick look-over, and after determining that she wasn't going to snap at or bite her, the baku returned the smile with a tentative one of her own.
"Thank you. You're...a student here, then?" Her gaze traveled to the skull pin that adorned the other ghoul's ribbon, and she fiddled with her own visitor's pass. She seems nice, Xiu mused, letting her smile grow a little, Maybe she can tell me a bit about the schoo--!
Another ghoul spoke up then, and this time, Xiu froze up the moment she looked at the newcomer. Her gaze traveled over her appearance, taking in the decaying skin and flesh and--
Letting out a small squeak, Xiu immediately ducked behind whoever was closest, which just happened to be the pink-haired demon.

Cady grinned at Marosa in what she felt was a friendly fashion. It involved a lot of pointy teeth.
"I'm a manticore, of course! Gladys says we're not dangerous, we're just misunderstood, and that I am under NO CIRCUMSTANCES allowed to eat anyone while on Amityville campus," she recited dutifully. She was prevented from further rambling by an exclamation from behind her.
"Oh! I didn't see you-" As she turned around, she was suddenly allowed to take in, how do you say, the full spectacle. There was this ghoul. With lots of hair. And a hole. IN HER THROAT.
"Oh my, oh jack, miss did you know that there is like A HOLE IN YOUR THROAT?" Cady was pretty sure she could make mist streaming out of it, ever so faintly. "Oh, oh oh oh, IT'S LEAKING!" Ever the good samaritan, she rushed forward, trying to grab the ghoul by the throat and therefore plug the hole.
"Oh my gosh did my cup do that? I am so sorry I didn't think I could throw a cup that hard I can't believe you're even trying to talk to me in this condition I know this reallynicepatchworkboilwhocouldprobablystitchyourightup-" this last portion was so run together it was probably unintelligible, as Cady rushed toward her, hands flapping disconsolately.
In her horror, she had failed to notice her good friend Owl from the library.

Marosa oogled at Cady, nearly laughing at her antics; she was entertaining, to say the least! He stepped back a little to provide enough room for them to not be able to touch him, and he stopped himself from correcting himself. He didn't know how long he'd be here, with the pendant on, so it was best to just not double check himself in the first place, and not get used to it not working.
He did enjoy the company, though.
Leaning against the wall, he watched through entertained eyes, relaxing just a bit.
(( Going to bed, will pick up in the morning <3 You guys are awesome, making me laugh so freakin' hard! ))

Lizzy swung her head in the direction of the 'hallo' that sounded like it came from somewhere near; to her surprise, the owner of the voice was looking at her. Taking in the horn on her forehead, she assumed that she must be a unicorn. Then she noticed the rotting flesh and cracks on the unicorn horn.
... Undead unicorn then?
"Hey! Welcome to Amity~" Her smile grew a little at how friendly the undead unicorn was before her attention once again went back to the ghoul she had been speaking to. She nodded, "Yes I am- Hm?"
Her eyes widened in surprise as she... Ducked behind her? Lizzy didn't think she was a very good cover, seeing how she was shorter than most, but... Offering her a sheepish smile, she tilted her head, "Um... Is something wrong?"

Oh, gods, more people? Who was arriving now? No, that weird feeling bubbling just under the surface hadn't gone away yet, and Cat gulped down the urge to just press his face against the banshee ghoul and stay silent.
No. He was just annoying himself now. He was THE Cat. He puffed up slightly, gathering up his ribbons and huffing to psyche himself up.
Yes! He could do this!
Turning, in Aislin's arms (okay, he wasn't feeling completely better just yet, but be damned if he'd curl up and be counted out-!) Cat threw down a bet on one of the strange little living pop tarts.

"Z'hank you fräulein," she said to the one that told her welcome and then watched the result of her table flip and was moderately pleased since she managed to get it to work despite the challenge that was there. Having earned her candy she was pretty content with that and was about to move on when she blinked over at the reaction of the one that hid behind the other Ghoul.
Kreszentia furrowed her brow a little as she reached a limb up to sniff at her forearm. She didn't smell too bad today. She glanced down at herself and noted that her rotting was ... okay. It had been much worse in the past.
Still she supposed it could be alarming.
"Zo zorry, I did not mean to ...alarm," She said cheerfully with a bit of a grin.

Peeking out from behind the pink-haired demon, she eyed the undead ghoul uneasily. She didn't seem like a bad person, and Xiu knew that she shouldn't judge based off appearances, but..oh Jack, the rotting flesh.
"Um, n-no! Nothing's wrong!" She shot a smile at the ghoul she had ducked behind and tried to sound reassuring, even if her voice had risen a couple of pitches. Taking a deep breath, she added in a softer voice, "Sorry, I'm just a little...nervous."
Honestly, how was she going to survive in this school if half of the students had appearances that terrified her? It was embarrassing to admit--after all, it was humans that the students were supposed to frighten, not each other. Xiu-Ying just happened to be particularly sensitive and jumpy and...
Well, okay. Simply put, she was a huge coward.
Jumping a little when the undead ghoul spoke, Xiu forced herself to give the slightest of nods, inclining her head ever-so-slightly. "I-it's okay! Please don't apologize!" She followed this up by offering a shaky smile, but she made no effort to move from behind her new shield (even if she was a teeny bit taller than said shield).
She wasn't coming out from behind the demon ghoul anytime soon, nope.

But it seems that the bunny girl was too busy sneaking around! Edel returned to the booth to stare at the adorable nyan cats. What's this? It looks like they were getting into position or some sort (Edel couldn't help but stare at Miruru-chan who still seemed a little lost.....in front of a wall). Edel then noticed that there were betting cards nearby. Grabbing one of them and a pencil, she stared at the names printed on the card carefully, pondering and looking over the card at the nyan cats from time to time.
WHICH SEAT CAT SHOULD SHE TAKE???
She bit her lip and tapped the pencil on the betting card. All of them were equally endearing. Sighing, she ticked one of the boxes at random.

Edel watched in amazement as the nyan cats set off, streaks of rainbow trailing behind them.
It was beautiful.
Some of them stumbled around, crashed into walls, stopped to stare at people or just raged straight ahead. The mishmash of rainbow and the nyanyannyan was (almost) too much to handle. Edel was gripping the betting card really tightly, squeeing to herself. Discreetly of course. Yea.
This was the second time she had allowed herself to react in an embarrassing way. Edel was pretty resigned to the fact that it won't be the last either.
The race had ended as the last nyan cat found its way across the finish line and the official scoreboard was updated. Glancing down at her betting card, she found that she had picked the adorable “Captain” Apple to win – but he was one bottle of rum too drunk and stumbled across the finish line fourth. Oh well.
Edel looked around at the booth – there were so many more things to do! There was some noise coming from the corner over there. Like.....furniture being tossed around. This school never ceased to intrigue her.
And of course she had to go and check that out.
Table flipping! Edel felt hesitant – what would Mother say about such unruly behavior? It was most unladylike! But – Edel watched the others trying to flip the tables with such determination on their faces. This was serious! Maybe it's not misbehavior.....but a culture, a halloween tradition? There was even a scoreboard for the number of tables flipped. This surely had to mean something. Psyching herself out, she stepped in front of the first table. She had no idea how heavy these things were. Nonetheless, the rolled up her sleeves and grabbed the edge of the table. Shutting her eyes, she heaved with all her might.
Who would've thought flipping tables was harder than flipping pancakes? What's up with that!

I'M SPINNING THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE~ OR IS IT SPINNING MEKrovi's eyes lit up at the two pieces of candy he had won from the bunny game. He was glad that the little bunny wasn't hurt at all from being hit. His tail wagged as he spun the wheel, watching the arrow point to his prize. He had landed on the second option, a random mini pet of his own from Usa-pyon. He hoped it was something cute since he enjoyed anything that was small and fluffy. He smiled then waited to see what he would get. [[ Mini's account ]]

As soon as the two feet of the table lifted off the ground, Edel lost her grip on the table and it came crashing back down the way it came from. Not that there was much of a crash, seeing how she only managed a few centimeters off the ground. In her heart, Edel felt a little happy and relieved. What if she had really done it and someone saw it and told her parents? But there was another part of her that felt ashamed – she had failed to execute a traditional Halloween activity. As she watched some of the others toss tables in the air with such ease, she made a vow to herself that someday, she'll be strong enough to do the same. Maybe one day, she'll even conquer the long tables in the dining hall at home. But all there was left for her to do now was to train for it. Boy was she super fired up for school now.
There was another table nearby with teacups stacked atop of it. Apparently, they were to throw sugar cubes into the teacups. Another Halloween tradition perhaps. Edel was a little skeptical about this though – wouldn't the tea become too sweet? She did after all, drink her morning tea with only half a cube of sugar.
Anyhow, she picked up a cube of sugar and carefully aimed for one of the teacups.
Desu-chan, you're not hiding puppies in those teacups, are you?
