AceXIII Special Monster (Seeing as no-one has posted yet, I guess I'll do a monologue/dream sequence. razz ) Sorry, 'bout that... sweatdrop Perhaps, Ace could suggest they run away while Gigantor's incapacitated? There is some honor in retreat... :T What on earth am I meant to do! In this crowded place there is only you!

(Seeing as this is roleplaying, everyone will have to go along with whatever you write no matter what they intended. razz She can just change what Gigantor does based on what you do. 3nodding )

Pulling herself from the deep abyss of memory, Ace returned to reality where Ashtara hovered beside her and Special stood before the damaged gargantuan robot.
There was nothing to gain here, no truthworthy allies other than the fan-wielder. It was time she returned and analyzed the new data she had gathered. Adjusting her eyepatch slightly, Ace stood and turned from the battlefeild.
"This location is compromised," she announced, "I can offer a safe haven, off the radar from /them. Anyone who wishes to join is welcome."
With those words as parting, the former general leaned on her cane and began the long trek home.
(Screw you, concience. Sorry, Tina. sad )

Special glanced back and spotted Ace walking away from the fight. "Hey, you can't go out on your own!" shouted Special. "It's not safe. Who knows how many more robots there are around here." Feeling that her magical comrades were much more capable of handling the giant robot, Special raced off after Ace.

Ace laughed aloud, so hard she stopped walking all together and stood wheezing.
When finally she regained herself, she simpley shook her head.
"If you insist, Special"
And chuckled some more as she started downhill.
(It's okay, Tina. sweatdrop Man I've been at a loss for imagry lately.)

With Gigantor pretty much annihilated it was time for Maria to step in. Opening a gate back to that dimension she stepped out in front of the group of fighters. "I commend you on beating my little toys. But don't think that that is all I have to offer you in terms of entertainment." Maria spoke nobly walking off to the side of the gate.
The sound of metal crashing on metal was heard from the other side of the gate as more squads of robots marched out. "Be warned the model of machines you all destroyed were merely scouts. This bunch is the more tactical bunch. Higher defense, greater attacks. Should any of you survive after this, it would be a shear miracle." Maria continued walking over to Gigantor. "You poor thing." she soothed in a gentle voice; "Those vile beasts thrashed you good..." she carried on inspecting the damage and running her hands on Gigantors wounds. "But...You failed me. You are no longer of use to me." she sneered as she jumped up above him and held her arms open as if about to embrace him. "Grand Crush!" she shouted and clapped her hands together as Gigantor started to implode on himself. Metal grinding and churning as he was being turned into a cube of metal.
Picking up the little metal box of Gigantor and walking back to the gate, Maria gave a fond farewell; "I wish you all the best of luck in your conquest. I do hope we meet again soon." She gave a wave and walked back through the gate.

Special followed behind Ace nervously. She felt guilty about leaving the others behind with that giant robot. From the sounds of it, more robots had shown up. She considered turning back, but what use would she be back there? The others were magically-gifted, most likely able to annihilate any robot threat easily. All she had was her fan and amazing acrobatic skills, which were not as effective against the robots as magic. She would probably be more useful assisting Ace, although she had no idea what Ace was intending to do. There was a cloud of mystery surrounding this woman and Special would be lying to herself if she said she wasn't curious. Glancing back once more from the direction they had came, Special asked, "So where exactly are we going?"

Balgens tared at the gaping whole in in mid-air "An underworld portal, I should have known." he said to himself, he took out his skull staff and opened his own portal. Eerie rattling and hissing came from this one. "Come forth my legions of undead!" he laughed maniacally as his eyes turned a slight purple
Hadore didn't give a second thought to the two portals, there was going to be a large fight, and a dangerous one at that. "I suggest all of you get inside before a major fight happens." He said as he went up to the monolith's door and held it open.

The sound of time and space ripping to for a portal and the rhythmic stomping of robotic feet, was enough to make Ace glance back but never did she stop walking. In fact, she may have even put a little spring in her step. The more distance between her and the new arrivals the better.
Tactical retreats were viewed by many as the general's worst nightmare, the upmost act of cowardice. But in her many years as a commanding officer, Ace had found it to be the most useful tool, not for winning battles, but for survival. And in this apocalyptic climate, it was her greatest asset.
In response to Special's question regarding the location to which they were retreating Ace replied,
"Home." With a distant, almost wistful air. But after a moment revised, "My home, not yours. Just over those hills over there."
For further clarification she shook her came in the general direction. It was a damn shame her hovercraft had decided to break down, they had a long walk ahead of them.

Home. The word resonated in Special's mind, sounding somewhat foreign to her. She had spent most of her life enslaved by the robots and she would surely not call the slave camp her home. She once had a home back when she was a young girl, but her memories of that time had either faded or had been drilled from her head by the atrocities she had witnessed while living amongst the robots. Special soon pushed those thoughts from her mind. It was no time to think of the things she no longer had. Her life was possibly on the line, especially if those robots caught up to her and Ace. She resumed trekking behind Ace, trying her best not to drown in her own thoughts.

Victor, who had been passed out since his rebounded spell, awoke to a mass of undead and robots.
"What's going on here?" Victor asked, looking left and right for some sort of protection. Not fully ready to spell cast, he saw Hadore at the monolith door and put two and two together.
"Let's get out of here!" Victor yelled, turning tail and running.
Grabbing Pete and all his things, he leaped past Hadore through the door.

Virtually ignorant of the younger woman trailing behind her, Ace continued the journey without so much as a word but hummed sporatically to herself, mumbling breifly about various chores that needed to be done and repairs that needed to be made.
There was a lot to be done, and on top of that she had all the data to go over. Depending on what she uncovered, it could take days, weeks even. Frankly, it wasn't a task she was looking forward to. Data like this tended to bring up thoughts...memories...things best left buried deep, deep down. Where no one, even she couldn't find them.
Uphill. Downhill again and into the woods. Sometimes Ace wished they had chosen a different place to build their hideout. The endless maze of holes and logs was a downright b***h to navigate but the trees and hills gave her some degree of protection, as well as the natural shelter and camoflage. A system of caves to be precise, carved into the side of the mountains. The tunnel entrance was regretably obvious but the entrance to her home was a little further. Upon reaching the great steel door, Ace uncovered a small booth with a keypad and microphone. Just as she was about to key in the code, the hairs rising on the nape of her neck remembered her she was being watched.
"Cover your ears and shut your eyes!" Ace ordered Special. "And sing something so you really can't hear... turn your back too."
(BBBbbbllllllllllllllllllllllleeeeeh. That's how I feel about this.)
