Alright! Thats not a bad team! Except for your lapras! He had ice beam, scald, rain dance, and thunder, right? Lapras in this generation really is used best in tandem with politoad because of its dream world ability! So if it isnt paired with politoad, it probably isnt the best choice! Oh, and dragonite is a much better choice than altaria! Its much more bulky and can dish out some pretty beastly damage!

Hydration is good with combination with rest.

Thats the point! Free full recovery! Thats why lapras isnt really used with anything else, since that is the thing that sets it apart from many other bulky water type pokemon!

Water Absorb, though I'd KILL for a Lapras with Hydration...
And Lapras has Rain Dance, Hydro Pump, Thunder and Ice Beam.
To be honest, I USUALLY combo it with my Hydreigon for double battles:
1st turn: Lapras -Rain Dance, Hydreigon- Surf , Heals Lapras
Next few turns: Lapras-Spam 100% Accurate Thunder, mix with Hydro Pump, Hydreigon- Surf, finish with Draco Meteor

yeah! that would work very well with double battles! I dont do doubles very often, so Im not incredibly versed in those! I was thinking in the mindset of single battles! I can see that being very effective then!

That, and your idea of Drought Vulpix with my Volcarona would work out well...

Thank you! Ive seen something similar used multiple times over wifi! With my team it was pretty annoying trying to get rid of ninetails alone! much less the 2 other pokemon they have had!

There's a number of things wrong about this. First, Politoed should not be on this team, it cripples volcarona. Altaria isn't meant to be used like dragonite, its usually a perish songer or some kind of odd support poke (if you aren't using it like that, Jitterbug, Dragonite is better).

I didn't have a Dragonite at the time of initial team assembly, so Altaria was the best I could do... And as for Politoed, unless I switch out Volcarona's moves for a different strategy (Thunder on lapras OR Hurricane on Dragonite), I see no place for him currently on this team...
