After the other two ran ahead, Zaul, of course, followed right after. In a handful of minutes, the three stopped right at the outskirts of the forest surrounding Lake Umacy.
"...'the hell happened here?! What coulda set the entire forest on fire?!"
He stepped closer to some trees, drew both his pistols, and concentrated for a few seconds. Then he shot jets of water at the bases of flames, putting them out and starting a mostly safe path for the group to go through. He walked in, continuing to do this, making their way toward the lake.

"Who could have done this? Who would have done this?!" Cleo was obviously both worried and pissed off. She would stop for a moment, every so often, to take a closer look at the trees and grass that were damaged or destroyed by the flames. "If I find out who did this, I'm going to rip their guts out and fit it to them."

The question of who or what have caused this devastation was also in Emil's mind. He stood there for a moment with his eyes widen in shock. His gaze shifted over to Zaul as he started to slowly follow behind him. "Think it might've been a monster?" He asked.

A chuckle could be heard through the flames, "Awwww, now you've gone and hurt my feelings." the chuckle slowly made it's way into a mad cackle, as a figure of a man walked through the flames towards the group, "I ain't no monster, but I surely can't be grouped together with your pathetic lot." Marv doubled over in laughter, and sat on the ground, "I mean walkin' into my flames? Man how stupid can people get. Though I do applaud your courage." he clapped politely, though you could just sense the sarcasm with each clap.
"Marv, do you mind?" Rox had placed himself on a ice pillar above the inferno, "I believe you're letting the fun go to your head."
Marv stop laughing and got up "Tch, Spoil sport," Marve waved his hands around his body extinguishing the flames in an instant, "I was just starting to enjoy myself Rox!"
"Indeed, that's why I wanted to stop you before you over indulged yourself." Rox jumped off his pillar and landed nearby his brother.
"What, wrong with indulging in one's pleasures... blahblah fun... blahblah!" mad Marv and Rox went into a little banter between each other, forgetting the newcomers entirely.

Schwarz noticed three things while they were running, all of which was troubling him. One, the group that they ran into at the village were coming after the two. Two, the bright light they saw earlier was now gone. And three he now saw a large body of water in their direct path, "Oooooorrrrrooooooo!"
"I see it, I know," he looked at the group behind him, "Dammit all, I didn't want to do this in front of them, now I have no choice."An aura of light surrounded him and started flaring up.
"W-w-wait, maybe they have-" gonk Oro grabbed Schwarz's collar again and took of across the water at high velocity, causing the water to split behind him almost into two walls of water, "A BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!!!!!"

Hearing the chuckle, Emil quickly looked to see the figure of a man coming through the flames. "You're the one responsible for this?" He asked. He would hear another voice before he looked up to see another man standing on top of the ice pillar. "Who are you?" It would seem that the one called Marv wasn't the only one responsible for this destruction. Hearing the two talk to each other had him feel disgusted and angered. If he still had Ratatosk's power, this would've been a moment where he would take over. He would slowly place his hand on the hilt of his sword, getting ready to draw out his weapon if needed.

As she followed after Oro and Schwarz by air, Colette's eyes widen when she saw Oro grab Schwarz by the collar and took off across the water. She had a feeling that there was something strange about those two, but she couldn't figure out what it is. Her guess was that maybe they might be half-elves. Whatever they were, she still wanted to help them. "Please wait!" She called out to them.

Zaul was busy putting out more flames with his Hydro Cannon skill, but he was listening to the conversation. He grew irritated at what Marv was saying, but was focused on reducing the hazards around himself and his teammates. And then he did a bit of a surprised jolt when Marv just willed the fire gone. He lowered his pistols and looked at Marv and Rox, but did not yet set them into their holsters. There just might be a skirmish breaking out here...
"HEY! Then if yer the one who set this place on fire, does that mean y'had somethin' to do with that screamin' we heard?!"
This...this firebrand was treating senseless destruction (and possibly killing) like it was some sort of pastime! He clearly wasn't very approving of that.

It was all Jason could do to avoid falling behind before, and now Schwarz and Oro were speeding across the water. "Oi, no fair! How are we suppos'ta keep up now?!" He stomped his foot and waved his fist in frustration. "Do as the kind lass says!"

Cleo looked over at this Marv and Rox, her eye twitching. Obviously angry, she drew two of her six swords and stared at them. "You maggots. How dare you do this to the forest? Do you find this some sort of fun game? I'll reach down your throats AND RIP OUT YOUR MANHOOD!"

Cinkel stopped at the waters edge and stared out towards the twins. He looked over at Jason. "I could always carry you over the water. If you so wish."

"'Td be much appreciated!" Jason ceased his angry antics. "Just be careful o' the beard!"
He followed this command with his special (patented even, if you'd believe it!) Dwarven Death Stare. "Seriously. Watch the beard! So, you other people going to swim o' summat?"

"I'm afraid I was never taught to swim. Not exactly a necessary skill for a scientist living in a city," the blonde said, eyeing the water with trepidation, as well as the sky. Smoke filled it, and the rather vulnerable seeming Chosen had chased two men that she was becoming increasingly suspicious of towards what appeared to be the remains of a very sudden and unexplained fire. "Sir Cinkel, I do not like this one bit. If the Chosen wasn't going to need our help immediately, I'd suggest we go back for reinforcements."

Colette stopped in her place, using her wings to hover. She would look over at the group. "I should be able to keep up with them if I go by air." She said. She felt bad for leaving her friends like this, though she felt that she must keep going to figure out what was going on. "I'll go on ahead and meet up with you all later." She would then give a small smile to Lelia. "Don't worry about me. I'll be fine." She then continued to follow in the direction Oro and Schwarz had took off at.

"Well, I would build a boat, but that'd take quite a while! MIght be better off walkin'." Jason found himself stroking his beard once more.
Nothin' like a huge hunka water to get in the way o' stuff.

Marv stopped bickering with his twin and looked at the woman coming at him. "Alright fresh meat!" he took a step towards the group.
Rox held out his arm in front of Marv, "You've had your fun, allow me to indulge a bit, while you clean up your toys."
"Tch. Fine be like that, I'll do my own dirty work," He turned around and started heading to the lake edge. "Just didn't expect me to help you collect them later."
"I'd have it no other way." Rox cracked his knuckles and walked forward, "So who wants to die first?" light blue gems on his gauntlets began to glow.

As Marv took a step towards the group, Emil quickly drew out his blade and points it at Marv. "You will pay for what you have done!" He exclaimed. He was about ready to charge at Marv until he saw Rox had stopped Marv from moving further towards the group. It did disappoint him since he wanted to take on Marv, but he wanted Rox to pay as well. "Fiend Fusion!" His body emitted a small amount of energy, his movement speed had increased. He would then charge toward Rox with an attempt to use his Phoenix Rush technique.
