Omega - To the Cafeteria - Old Xavier Had a School

User ImageMadison had found herself all but completely ignored in the library, slipping out without a sideways glance from the triplet there. Not that she expected to take up much of Narcissa's mind with so many penises about, but still. She'd been missing the attention lately, and even she realized how whiny it made her sound when she went off about it.
The girl ended up in her room, trying to clear off that mess that was her floor so that she could push her bed against the opposite wall. She'd become so used to having the room to herself since they were rebuilt that she had consumed every square foot of it. Now, she had to make room for some new girl on the Omega team. Maddy hoped to hell that she wouldn't be incredibly annoying. The annoying ones usually didn't last long on the team, but then the whole effort of moving things around would have been a waste.
Maddy changed her shirt, threw the old one in the now used basket by door, and stepped out to forage for some food and try to find this new roommate of hers. As she went, it could be heard that the girl was singing and whistling "Old Xavier had a school, Ee-Ai -Ee-Ai-Yo, and in that school he had some mutants, Ee-Ai-Ee-Ai-Yo. With a 'stab-stab' here and a 'boom-boom' there--here a 'boom', there a 'boom', everywhere a 'boom-boom'..." The girl delighted in the awkward looks the younger kids would give her, although a good few of them were used to her walking around the school barefoot half the time.
That being barefoot wasn't brilliantly pleasant when her feet hit the cold cafeteria floor. Maddy pulled the note out of her pocket--a generic thing in Emma's handwriting which had "Megan M. Myers" scrawled across it. She tossed into onto the group's table and threw her arms around two random people there (Jacen and Kerri). She quickly removed them, though, realizing why she had never actually done that before. "Hello people..."
"Please tell me somebody just said something about shooting things," she said quickly, glancing around the group."Yeah, sorry, I just escaped Cissa and her boys in the library to go hunting for this,"--she flicked Emma's note with two fingers--"girl."

Let's go downtown and talk to the modern kids./ They will eat right out of your hand/ using great big words that they don't understand.

Eli imagined Roland all shiny and armored up trying to charge someone using an object as a shield. It was quite funny actually and Eli let a slight smirk reach the corner of his lips.

"Well, I've never really tested my weight limit on a metal. But I do know if what I'm lifting is hit, I'll have to put more force behind it, and I can potentially lose control over the object. It'd be nice if that weren't the case. I also do know that if I overstress my abilities, I'll be a nuclear bomb minus the explosion. Meaning radiation and EMPs for everyone to enjoy." Eli said, finishing with a stale joke.

He pondered further, what might his potential be if Roland's experiment could unlock or further abilities. "Well, we do have to keep in mind, if in the slightest mess up, the potential takes a slight turn and turns to risk. As every experiment does. If I didn't have the backlash to my ability that I do, I would offer up for the good of science." Eli explained. Who knows, maybe the two of them could come up with some experiments that could benefit the teams as a whole... or just for fun, who knows?

"I'll help out any way I can." He decided, his hand extended, as if making a business proposition. "Shall we seek out Dr. McCoy?"

The beginnings of a good partnership

"Well, the weight issue is something that can be easily solved. At some point we can test it in the labs down below." Roland remarked. It was how Roland got an idea as to what his limitations with his abilities were, "And about the radiation and EMP, no one wants to deal with electromagnetic radiation. Unless we're dealing with giant robots or something." Granted, in the event they were facing an opponent like that, over stressing his abilities would actually be a saving grace. Hopefully it wouldn't kill him, but it was still something to think about.

"And hopefully," he added, "if my theory is correct, mutants with incredible powers but a lack of control can perhaps gain that control. Mutants wouldn't have to worry about being bombarded with barbaric treatments or drastic measures to allow them to function in society. With just a few pin pricks and some needles, they can develop that level of control through a natural method, that would probably need a several applications over a period of time along with training to result in a more stable level of control."

When he mentioned that his power could backlash, "That's what I'm most concerned with at the moment, an ability like magnet manipulation or electricity if left rampant could be extremely dangerous." He started to like Eli, the guy definitely seemed like someone good to work with. And since he came with a background in physics, he could provide a unique perspective in different experiments. They could bounce off each other, providing different backgrounds in their respective fields. When he extended his hand as a sign of partnership, he took it with a good firm grip, his "Durendal" tattoo showing across his right arm.

"It appears that this is the beginning to a beautiful friendship." he just had to quote Casablanca, an absolute classic in film. After all, this looked to be an interesting working relationship.

"I actually am thinking about going to the mall. I just got my license recently, and I've been itching to get out of the school. If you want, you're welcome to join, perhaps discuss how to present the theory to Dr. McCoy? You know he's going to dissect it like one of those specimens in his lab." he offered, Roland wanted to see what it was like outside of the Academy. He paused for a moment waiting to hear in his head the voice of Emma Frost telling him no. For a woman that could peer into, and likely did peer, into the minds of her students Roland seemed to not have any incidents with the Headmistress.

That thought was extinguished when he heard her loving, maternal voice pour into his head, The only reason you haven't heard from me until now is because you stay out of trouble. Plus your problems are being taken care of with Jean. Which reminds me, have you seen her today?

No ma'am. She's busy today, rescheduled for tomorrow at noon. I believe she's also going to provide a file on me for you guys soon enough. he thought, thoroughly creeped out by having someone in his head. It felt violating.

Omega: Dorm Room: Looks like there may be a buisness venture on the rise. lol.

User ImageLillian cried lightly as she sat on the floor of her room. She couldn't believe seeing her step mom again would affect her so much. Sure the woman was the reason she hasn't seen her real father since her powers surfaced. So there was strong history between them because of it. Hell she hadn't even seen nor heard from her or her father since her powers surfaces that night. So why, why was this all now bugging her so much. Sure she really hadn't thought about her step mother in years there was no need to really. Lillian had moved on from the whole thing with the help of her grandfather.

Then her mind went back to Cissa's comment back over the comm after messaging her about her room mate leaving. She would of answered but she was already stepping in the shower at the time. Then it happened it was like she was a different person. The tears no longer fell her mind no longer thought about the anti mutant step mother. Nope that wasn't a care for her at the moment at all. She grabbed her comm which was in the pile of debris that was her desk and laptop. Bringing it up to her lips she had a response to Cissa's comment about borrowing her room and then charging her to stay or join in. She laughed at that before hitting the button to call Cissa over comm. "Cissa sweetie I believe you have it backwards. If you want my room you will have to pay me. It will be $75 if I watch $225 if I join though I doubt the third in a threesome with us could handle that, and it would be $450 if you want me to leave the room. And those are the special rates just for you. For others the prices are drastically different."

Lillian set her comm link back down. Any one who truly knew Lillian would of probably noticed something off in her voice. But to anyone else it wouldn't of sounded any different. They would just think Lillian was having fun with her good friend Cissa. It would possibly be noticeable to someone like Cissa. Lillian didn't want anyone to worry about her so she wanted to do her best at hiding it. Pretty much everyone in the academy had some dark spots from before the academy it seemed that was the curse of those with the X gene. Though a smirk did cross her face as she saw in her mind her step mom turning to ash basically nothingness as if she had been caught in one of Cissa's nuke attacks as Lillian called them. That was pretty much what it was when Cissa let her powers go like that. Really it was a bad thought and she might even hear something from one of the telepaths about it later. But it's not like dark thoughts were the same as actually going through with said dark thought right?

Her eyes settled on the broken desk and shattered laptop littering her floor. She let out an annoyed sigh like she had returned to her room to find it this way. Getting up she stated separating pieces of laptop from that of the desk. This just wasn't her day. She was going to need to request a new desk and laptop to be placed in the room. Sure there was desk that her not long roommate was to use. But the broken one would still need to be replaced. If she told Forge about it he would probably try to invent a desk that could withstand a blow from Colossus.

Lorelle~Ace
Team:Omega
Location:Cafeteria...Going to Hell the Mall.
Ability: Power-Augmentation

Lorelle blinked and nodded to Megan as she said hello before she went back to munching on her food, Lorelle herself finishing up on her French fries. It was only now that she noticed Megan’s claws. She seemed to be use to using them but Lorelle still wondered if maybe she could help Megan with her mutation. Rolling her eyes at Christian’s remark, she decided to ask Megan about it later. Picking up her fork and taking a bite of her cake she listened to the other conversations at the table.

After announcing her plan to go to the mall she took note of the way Christian shifted his eyes to Kerrigan. Opening her mouth to ask what was wrong with going to the mall, she was stopped when Daylia answered the question that was on the tip of her tongue. She had heard about all the ant-mutant protest test that were popping up everywhere, but didn’t think too much of it. “Okay, We can take my car” responding back to Kerrigan’s offering knowing that it was better safe than sorry to go to the mall with someone else.

And anyway, maybe this would give her time to get to know more about the omegas. “Ace, on the field. You’re welcome to come with us.” Lorelle told Jacen seeing the excitement on his face from hearing that there might be trouble at the mall. If there was… she was sure he would be like a kid in a candy store. Full and ready to go, she stood up from her seat dumping what was left on her tray. Walked back over to get her sketchbook (it would go in the car) and said a quick “Hi.” To the other Omega (Madison). Looking at Kerrigan and Jacen, Lorelle started to leave the cafeteria on her way to the garage hoping they were following.

Name: Leonardo "Renaissance Man" Rossi
Team: Alphas
Location: Mall with Aurelie
Fight or Flight… Or… Capture? Unacceptable.

User Image
Aurelie had been right by his side as he was fighting them… something that he found somewhat odd considering other girls. Leonardo had expected there to have been as strong hand on his forearm followed by a stern look pleading him to not go defend the Aquaboy… but instead she had the same mindset as he… a focused anger that could be used to protect, not destroy. Maybe that’s just how they picked them at Academy X: strong willed, and not about to let someone get picked on because of physical or genetic abnormalities.

Leo and the gilled kid got off of the tables nicely, thanks to Aurelie’s telekinesis. That was about… the five billionth time his butt had been saved by a telekinetic. It was good to work with one again. As Aquaboy (his now totally official codename) and Leo had gotten off of the tables using the Other Guys move, they were right near the large glass doors leading to the parking lot… but five mall security guards had already formed a loose semi-circle in front of the exits. Great. Now it was either fight, flight, or be captured. Just then, old, creeping words of a certain SHIELD handler snuck their way back into Leo’s head: Never get caught. Ever. Back then, the reasons for getting captured were different. It was to not have vital information about SHIELD get into the wrong hands… but now… Leo had his own agenda…

A fork hit him in the scalp, making him grunt in anger. Looking behind him, he spotted one of the preppy cheerleaders staring victoriously at him. Leo squinted in her direction, as if sizing her up… but in reality, he was just glaring at her. Picking up a thrown soda can on the floor, he chucked it with ant strength… and it hit the girl square in the face, enough to knock her out cold. Leo chuckled slightly… but saw that Aurelie had been grabbed by a security guard, and that the other guards around him were encroaching with caution. He tensed up, not exactly going into a fighting stance, but it was enough to make the other mall cops hesitate.

It was all coming back to him now… fight, or flight. Fight would look really bad in the press; additional assault charges would be added to the already… what, three, he had on him. Flight was resisting arrest… and therefore another charge added. Capture was not an option, not because he could be giving away information… but because he didn’t want her to find him. He had evaded capture before from that vile and putrid woman… he didn’t want to have to do it all over again. Being put into police computers would no doubt send her running towards her (former) prized operative. So what was there to do? Leo weighed the options as he bounced slightly on the balls of his feet, switching his ability to the agility of a spider. Capture seemed like the best thing, even in light of everything else. The Xavier Institute that people that could wipe memories and computer files, right? Then things could be solved rather quickly.

Leo put his hands up in surrender, and the cops approached more rapidly, one taking out his pair of handcuffs, and the others had their Tasers trained on him. Then it happened. Aurelie was hit in the face by some anti-mutant guy from the crowd. Leo took a step forward, ready to pounce, but was met by strong arms. Aurelie had pushed the guy away… but Leo was still furious.

A large shock of pain suddenly coursed through Leo’s system, causing him to instinctively jam his eyes shut and fall to his knees. Someone had been a little trigger happy on their Taser. The moment when the pain started to dull, a bigger wave of pain jolted through his body, forcing him fully to the ground. The b*****d had put the thing all the way up to the top. Now Leo was out on the floor, totally unconscious. So much for a nice evening out on the town.

***

User Image
Wherever he was… it was dark… and dirty. Leo’s first sense to return to him was his smell… or maybe it was hearing, but he couldn’t tell because there was dead silence in the room. He noticed that his shirt was off… great. And… he was chained to a wall. Now what kind of treatment was this? Now Leo knew for a fact that normal citizens didn’t get this sort of treatment… so what was this? Were the police really that brutal when they brought him in? His ribs hurt, and seemed to be bruised. The only thing he remembered was being Tasered… so what in the hell happened to him? What Leo didn’t know was that after he had gone down, the crowd of anti-mutant haters rushed his body as the mall cops were picking him up, ripping off his shirt and getting a few good hits on him before the mall cops could fight them off. Still didn’t explain the whole chained to a wall thing though.

Leo sighed, and only hoped that Aurelie didn’t get the same treatment… and that someone from the mansion was on their way to fix this mess.

Bella… wherever you are… get here fast,” he whispered, knowing full well that she probably wouldn’t be able to hear him. He was merely pleading out for help… whether they could respond or not.

User ImageLast I checked, Dom...Doritos and drugs aren't the same thing.” Aren retorted, feigning a glower at the man next to him.

Laughter rolled out of Aren easily, as Narcissa expected from the Wizard of Oz jibes she made at Dom's expense. He coughed over some of it for the Slovene's benefit, but not overly so that it'd hide he was in fact, thoroughly amused. Aren searched for a point skyward when Cissa mentioned the unhinging of her jaw, and that some men would enjoy some of the benefits of that... “Only if you promised not to snap your jaw back in place Ki'somma. Few men enjoy teeth.” He remarked, offhandedly unsure if she'd hear it or not.

Deciding to test her soap box comment, he kissed her cheek, and Cissa stonewalled, a kittenish smirk replacing any actual emotion. When he said he couldn't do much more in front of the kids, Cissa seemed offended, her version of the “kids” being the new blood Alphas that had made a rather hasty departure. “I was talking about Dom here... obviously he still holds true to his child mentality, considering he didn't return the gift of your kiss.” Aren said jokingly – shooting Dom a half-hearted apologetic look.

Then we'll use yours.” The size shifter said, waving off the excuse that she too, had a roommate that wouldn't enjoy being locked out of her bedroom. Roland hadn't actually been able to see much of his native roommate; most of the time Aren had was spent chilling in Dom's room. Considering the Slovene had only briefly had a roommate (one that never showed up), Aren had basically shared the space with him, leaving his official room mostly untouched.

Ki'somma... I need to teach you a lesson... about what other things men are good for... you should see me privately at your earliest convenience.

Lillian's voice echoed over the comm unit, and Aren grinned – lifting his comm up to speak to Lillian directly “It's for her and I, Lillian. Give it to us for free, and I'll show you that I can handle you both.” Natives couldn't afford a $475 encounter. It was high way robbery for one; for two, as hot as Narcissa was – no dorm could act as a hotel room that expensive.

She said he'd not hear the song, Graduation... and Aren shook his head. “I only technically need to pick up one grade to graduate.. and if I were still on the rez, one of my other courses would have covered the damn credit.” He'd already taken government – the one that mattered to him. Relative to him because a lot of the rules were bent when it came to Native American reservations, so American government was moot. Perhaps, he should have fought that, instead of signing up for the course so grudgingly. ”Scooter the pooter just wants me to pass his damned ethics course too.

I think I prefer Iago, waahkanaapinako.” Aren said lightly when she called him Sacajawea... knowing she'd catch the reference; she seemed to remember the first day they met as clearly as he had, despite the drugs pumping through their systems. “Dom if that name sticks the way Tiny did, I'm kicking your a**.” He said, pretending to be cross.

A smile crossed his features, a slow motion of his muscles playing perfectly with his mood. “I'm sure we could find a way to be much, much more distracting, don't you think?” Aren asked, raising a mischievous
eyebrow.Narcissa batted her eyelashes sweetly, telling him he could hold her to everything she said, and Aren's deep laughter escaped him again. “Don't worry, I will.

Isabella had been right outside the library, when Gideon intercepted. Narcissa of course, goaded the couple, trying to get a rise out of Bella for whatever reason, and Aren simply listened, trying his best to remain neutral. “She seemed pretty peeved. Wonder if she'll try and knock Gid's block off...

His books shoved aside for now, Aren grinned at his two comrades. “I'm bored... and considering I'm getting the notes from you to pass these classes... I suggest we do something.” Far, far from the books that they were supposed to be working over.

My hearts longs for some books!

❃❂❁❀✿✾✽✼✻✺✹✸✷ ✶✵✴❄❅❆❇❈❉❊❋❖❤❥❦❧ ☀

Alex walked down one of the many hallways of the Academy. Only recently, she had been promoted to the Alphas and given permission, by her doctor, to go into training sessions more often. That way, the heiress to the Agnes fortune could increase her strength. Her body was too frail now to fight as well as everyone else. That is something I plan on fixing. But first, I better hit the books. A small sneeze left her, causing to stop in her tracks temporarily. I better not be getting another cold. I just got over one two weeks ago! Due to her weak immune system, Alex became sick more often than most people. It admittedly annoyed her to no end.

If I could just go one day without having to worry about whether I took my vitamins...The vitamin supplement her doctor put her on had slowly been giving her immune system some backbone. Due to the supplement, as well as taking extra precautions like washing hands before eating anything, Alex had been sick less often. However, her immune system wouldn't be fixed in a day. Thus, she still became sick at least twice a month, maybe three if she was unlucky. Usually, it would be the common cold, which she could ignore. On her unlucky times of the year, it would be the flu which would put her out of commission. Luckily for Alex, she had only had the flu twice in the past school year. I just hope I'm not pushing my luck.

Her eyes scanned the hallway and eventually found the entrance to the library. Once there, she walked inside quietly. Alex hadn’t interacted with many of the students due to having to deal with sickness and family problems. The most interaction she had was with the new students that hadn't been promoted to a team yet. Thus, while the three faces (Aren, Dom, and Cissa) looked familiar, the girl had no idea of their names. Though I do admit, the woman (Cissa) is quite pretty. I wonder if she is the type that gets men all wrapped around her finger easily? However, something about the woman (Cissa) made her think twice about asking.

After looking at them for a few moments, the sensory adaptor made her way over to one of the book shelves. She allowed herself to enhance her sight. That way, if one of the books she needed to look for happened to be some book shelves down, Alex might be able to pinpoint its' location without having going over there and look. However, she knew by doing this, her eyes would not want to be looking up at the ceiling lights anytime soon. Unless I want to suffer a little bit of a migraine. I need to work on that sensitivity.

Thus, she kept her head down as she looked for the books in the section in front of her. Not out of shyness like it might appear, but out of the fact Alex did not want to have to deal with light sensitivity. At least, not right now when I need my eyes the most. For now, Alex's mind found itself too occupied with finding the books for US History to notice if the three(Dom, Cissa, and Aren) had even taken notice of her presence.

Omega: Cafeteria || Danger Room -- Nothing like a little Simulation to Get the Blood Pumping

User Image

Being Omegas, Kerrigan was sure that the strange happenings going around would not be enough to prevent them from going to the mall. But at least Jacen, a more seasoned veteran of the team, was interested in going, meaning that she could worry a little less. Madison came up, singing a little song, before she threw her arms around Jacon and herself. The redhead laughed, glancing her teammate over as she asked if she heard them correctly about organizing some sort of session where she could shoot things. When she said that she escaped Cissa in the library to go hunting for the girl whose name was on the piece of paper, Kerrigan leaned forward, grabbing the piece of paper and sliding it in front of her so that she could more easily read what it said. Upon noticing the name read Megan, Kerrigan laughed slightly, relaxing back as she held the paper between her fingers.

"Well, two things. Yes, we were thinking of organizing some sort of shooting session in the Danger Room, unless you're more interested in getting off campus and heading to the mall with the other group. I have to say though, I'd avoid it. With all the rumors going around and all that, it might be in your best interest to stick around here, where we know we're safe. Then again, I know that is not necessarily the 'Omega Way'. We do tend to live for a bit of danger and excitement," she said with a chuckle, looking between everyone sitting at the table. Lorelle stood from the table, disposing of her tray and grabbing her book before disappearing, supposedly to get ready to head to the mall. If that was the case, it was time to get this Danger Room Session underway.

"Well, if they are heading to the mall, the rest of us can do something in the DR. Meet me there if you want in on it," she said simply, giving everyone a glance over once more before she stood to dispose of her own trash. If they were going to do this, she might as well head in ahead and make sure that everything was set up. Remembering what Madison said about Cissa being in the library, Kerrigan adjusted the strap on her bag as she made her way towards the lower levels, pulling her comm from an internal pocket and sending a message to their leader.

'Hey -- a group of us were going to run a DR Simulation. Care to join us? DR in 10. -K'

Flipping it shut, she used her passcode to let herself into the DR, moving over to the control panel as she began to flip through the pre-loaded simulations that they had the option of running. If they were going to have quite a few people, then it would make sense to do something that would pit them against each other in groups of some size, but at the same time was definitely a combat situation. There was a laser tag simulation that could be interesting. At any rate, it was the best one she'd come across. Setting everything up so that she could just execute it when the group got there, the redhead leaned gently against the panel as she waited for the others to show up.

Isabella ran her fingers through her hair, frustration clear on her Columbian rose features. Yes… Her temper was fading. But her point still stood. And stood strong. The Alpha’s had take enough abuse from the Omega’s as a whole over the past few years… And quite frankly, most of it came from the Red Queen herself.

“Right.”, she responded when Gideon stated that he hadn’t stopped her to defend the blond—Her voice filled with a level of cynicism that wasn’t usually there. “My head is on straight. I -know- what I’m doing. I can’t just sit back and watch… Being impartial, trying to be the better person just isn’t enough. It isn’t enough for the students I’m supposed to lead—Help teach right from wrong… And it’s not enough for me.”

Her jade eyes were hard…Bottle green, like shards of broken glass. Why? Because she was tired of being told do the right thing… When no one…Not Emma, not Scott, not Narcissa, Not the villains they faced…Ever showed her the same courtesy. She was beginning to think that Narcissa was right in one aspect… That by teaching the Alpha’s to fight with honor and dignity… To treat them all equally—Perhaps she was leading lambs to slaughter.

Was her kindness misplaced? Was she truly doing her team a disservice, by being a friend—Rather than a cold, cruel General?

Her eyes didn’t turn away from the water that rippled and moved with the rain that fell… Her own form slowly becoming soaked. Normally she might have put up a shield…But not now. Not when she hoped that the cool rain would be the balm to her ire.

“It always has an effect, Gideon. She treats you differently that she treats me… Why? Because before you came here…You were X-20. She respects you for the man you were… Not the one you are.”, Isabella explained her words further, her brow furrowing as her hands formed fists at her sides. Is that what was required of her? To bring death and mayhem—To earn respect? To keep her team safe from the serpent tongue of the Omega leader?

She didn’t flinch when he changed his town, feeling that his voice was pointed in the other direction… Knowing that his back was to her. Isabella knew that she was being more irrational than Gideon would have had to deal with in the past… But that he turned his back to her, during this conversation did not further his cause. It hurt… That he had so little faith in her. Perhaps he had faith in her skills… But not in her.

“They wouldn’t have been hurt.”, Isa stated firmly, her primrose colored lips falling into a thin line. “I wouldn’t have allowed it… And you know—Neither would she.”

“If I take her to the danger room…She won’t hold back. It’s not an option Gideon.”
, she returned, sighing as she tilted her face to the sky for a moment. When had things gotten so terribly complicated… That she felt as if she were even at odds with the man she loved?

“It has to be here. Or else we won’t be on even ground. She’ll throw everything she has at me in the Danger Room—Until there isn’t anything left of me…Or the room. She’ll have no fear there.”, the songstress murmured quietly…Knowing that with Gideon’s enhanced hearing…He would understand her perfectly.

“The Omega’s are the only weakness that I can take advantage of.”

She turned and starting heading back towards the school without a word—Fully intending on finishing what she’d started. If Gideon wouldn’t support her choice… Then, while it hurt to contemplate…In this venture, he was against her. So…He couldn’t be a part of it. Her last words left a foul taste in her mouth. Here she was talking about exploiting another team… About using the only weakness that she knew of that Narcissa wouldn’t have any choice but to allow… Isabella had a chance outside of the Danger Room… Inside, locked away from those the Red Queen wanted to protect…

She was dust in the wind.

The songstress had just crossed the threshold, soaking wet—When her comm went off.

“Sometimes... going in pairs isn't enough. Leo and I are at the mall... and by the looks of things... we are going to need some help.”

She recognized the voice, the soft tones of one of her new Alpha’s…Aurelie—And wherever she was….It was noisy. The girl hadn’t explained…What did that mean?

“Be safe.”, the songstress spoke into the comm—Her tone form.

Isabella was afraid to reply with more than that…Depending on where they were…On who was in hearing distance. Aurelie hadn’t sounded like it was…Dire…But there had been a touch in her tone, that Isabella recognized as being…Wrong. The Alpha leader decided immediately…That she’d rather be safe, than sorry—And concern broke through the dam that held her anger, and she broke into a sprint…Which for the sound user was… Quick.

Isabella remembered them going to the mall—Briefly. But she would need to know exactly where… And she needed to alert Scott.

It seemed that dealing with Narcissa, would have to wait.

**

Isabella arrived at the mall faster than any car or transport vehicle would allow. She was alone for the moment. While that might have seemed foolish—Scott had taken the proper precautions to have the rest of the Alpha’s rounded up, as well as a few of the more experienced Senior X-Men…Just in case, there was something that she couldn’t sort herself. The songstress had no idea what she was walking into. Whether it was just a silly misunderstanding or more… The X-Men had no want to disturb the tentative peace. So she was a scout.

The mall when she arrived was…Packed. The masses were loud, angry—Speaking of mutants picking on some good normal human kids…Of fighting. It didn’t take her long to realize, even after listening for just a second that she would likely need back up. Holding her slim cellular, she sent a text to Scott… ‘I will need back up. Just in case. It’s a pressure cooker without any vents in here…’

It hadn’t been long at all since Aurelie contacted her on her comm… The songstress was still faintly damp, wearing the same clothing she’d been wearing earlier. There was no use for uniforms here… The blue and black leather would make her stand out like a sore thumb. And that was the last thing she wanted. She moved through the crowd, her lips moving in a soft song… It wouldn’t be immediately heard by anyone—As soft as she sang.

But it didn’t matter. She was the Mistress of Sound—And it obeyed her. And her ability was particularly useful in situations like this via hypnotic suggestion. It was the reason for her code name—Because of a particular quality she had, that made her like Siren’s in myths. She bewitched those her heard her... It had nothing to do with telepathy, but it occurred through bone conduction, causing the chemicals of the brain to change—Trigger different effects.

At the moment, she willed the crowd to calm…To continue with their day. To not see her… To find themselves feeling peaceful, where rage and hatred had once dominated. Crowd control wasn’t anything new to her… It let her make her way towards the holding area without incident… But she still worried. As many people as there were in the mall.. There was no way she could possibly control them all. So the area of effect was limited to several yards around her in every direction.

The security entrance was right where Forge had said it would be. There was a ring of guards surrounding the double doors… People threw things at them, food, merchandise…. They screamed, yelled and threatened. Isabella was shocked at the profanity that came from the shoppers, shocked at the way they acted—Like beasts.

Threading through the mob scene, she stopped in front of the nearest guard—Turning her ability on him. Isabella’s voice was filled with the appropriate panic as she got the guards attention by speaking as loudly as she dared—Her hands up to show that she wasn’t armed, that she was simply a desperate, lovely, human woman, in dire need of assistance. Her eyes were wide, fearful. “Please! You have to help me. I’ve lost my sister—My little sister. Please—I can’t find her in the crowd. She’s just a child—“

The guard looked to the officer next to him, and started yelling… Bella could hear, that he was repeating what she said. The guard beside him shook his head—Lips in a firm line. “No can do, Ma'am. We need to take care of this, before anyone else gets hurt.”

The rental-cop that she’d originally spoken to looked back towards her and started to reply, shaking his head with regret. “We can’t look for her until this crows calms down Miss! It would be impossible to find her in all this!”

Isabella let her siren’s song wrap around both men as she neared them, eyes filling with tears… Thank you, Paige Guthrie for Theater 101. “Please! Please help me— I have to find her! She’s only four—She’s all alone!”

The men stayed steadfast to their decision for about thirty seconds…Before the dam broke, and the guard that had refused her, stepped aside, letting her past their line—As the guards spaced out more to fill the gap. He unlocked the double doors, and ushered her inside before locking the doors behind them.

The screams of the crowd were muffled, and the guard looked towards her tiredly as she wiped at her eyes. “Now—Miss, where was the last place you saw her?”

“We were…Passing the food court. I stopped, for just a second… And when I turned around… She was gone.”, Isabella lied…Feeling the barest hints of remorse for being dishonest. But this was the easiest way…The simplest way.

The way where, she hoped—No one would be hurt.

“Let’s make a report—And we can check the camera’s to see if you see her.”, her spoke, guiding her into the office on the right. She went willingly, and sat down…Looking at the camera’s that were on the walls. Not only were there dozens that flickered for the mall proper…But four that stayed steady.

The first camera showed a man with no shirt…Chained to a wall. The second, showed a flaxen haired girl… The third, showed another individual. It took her a moment to realize it…But she placed two out of three.

“That man! He’s chained to the wall—Why?

The guard looked up… The first bouts of suspicion entering his aged eyes. But her innocent expression soothed him. “He’s a mutant, and a danger Miss. It’s safest, until the police arrive.”

“Sleep.”, Isabella responded firmly, her emerald eyes moving from innocent to sharp quickly. The guard did not have a choice… And his head hit the desk with an audible thunk.

The songstress released a screech that caused the equipment in the room to malfunction…The signals for the wireless camera’s scrambled, and slowly the pictures on the wall turned to snow.

Picking up her phone, she texted Scott again. ‘The police are on their way. Found them. Need a safe exit—Civillians extremely hostile.’

With that, she slipped out of the room, locking the door behind her from the inside-- And headed slowly down the hall…Using her echolocation to see if there was someone coming.

~Aurelie…Leo—Sit tight. I’m coming.~

~Attention All Alpha’s: Report to the garage immediately, and board the non-descript van’s in the front of the car port. Stay in civilian clothing. Wait with Veritas, Gideon, for further instructions. Please stand by.~

Scott ran a hand through his hair as Emma made her announcement, perturbed by the sudden turn of events. He’d hoped to keep their charges out of the bigotry and mayhem that seemed to be affecting every human that lacked an X-Gene. Perhaps it was because it was time for elections that politics were becoming a playground for anti-mutant sentiments…Or perhaps it was simply the rising number of mutants. Either way, it mattered little to Cyclops. He would protect those under his care, as best he could… And no matter what had happened at he mall… He wasn’t letting two of his own face the consequences on their own.

“Any luck, Emma?”, he questioned the woman beside him, whose fingertips rest against her temples.

She didn’t reply for several moments—Taking her hands away, with a slow shake of her head. “There are too many minds. All loud, angry. It’s like finding a needle in a haystack this far away. If I used Cerebro…It would be simple. But I don’t know that we have the time to spare.”

Scott muttered something unintelligible under his breath, habitually glancing at his phone… Isabella had left fifteen, twenty minutes ago. She should be there by now.

“Patience, Scott.”

He glared at the Headmistress, ignoring her amused smirk. Only she would be able to smile and carry on in times like these. Though, he couldn’t deny…It was part of her charm. No sooner had he closed his phone, that it started to vibrate. He opened it and read the message…Sighing only once.

“It’s that bad?”

“Bad enough that she's requesting back up.”, Scott replied, turning his comm link on. He chose Gideon’s frequency, and raised the comm to his mouth.

“Siren made her report. Allegra and Renaissance Man are in trouble. I don’t have exact details…Only that the civilians are hostile. I would assume a riot is a possibility. Take as many cars as you need. Gambit and Rogue will be accompanying you. A group of young adults in the mall is far less suspicious…But be on your guard. The goal is to ensure that our three on the inside, get out safely.”, Scott phoned in to the clone of Wolverine, his voice a certain monotone. He knew Gideon’s feelings of him…But this was officially a sanctioned mission. They simply couldn’t be too careful.

“If it comes to combat—No matter what… It must be non-lethal. Seek only to incapacitate. The police are on their way…Avoid breaking laws, and fighting with law enforcement. Remember, they are only there to do their required jobs. Move out. Don’t waste any time.”

Scott stared at the comm, letting his hand fall—Expression tight.

“They will be fine, Scott. We all agreed…We can’t protect them from everything, forever. We can’t hide them from the world, anymore than we already do.”

“I just don’t like gambling with things like this.”

“It’s not a gamble.”

Scott severely hoped not.

My hearts longs for some explanation!

The girl had finally found the book when her comm went off. She raised it to her ear and listened carefully. Luckily, her ears hadn't been enhanced like her eyes. If they had, the comm would sound like a blaring train instead of a voice. Well, first mission as an Alpha. Lets just hope Mr. Summers was right in promoting me today. A small biting of the lip showed only the brief moment of nerves. Her hand placed the book on the self, and walked out of the library as calmly as she came in.

Admittedly, Alex had hoped to introduce herself to the three(Dom, Cissa, and Aren) in the library. While true there was the rivalry, she felt such trivial things were stupid. Thus, if they were Omegas, Alex probably wouldn't have cared. We are all the same. All prankable, and all easily annoyed. The devious smirk the graced her lips seemed unfitting of her delicate frame and face. However, it fit her personality perfectly.

She pulled out a map from her bag, scanning it for the location of the garage. You know, having a mutant power involving good sense of direction or memory would be useful right now. Then again, my power is useful too. Just not....obvious. Her eyes still were enhanced. This caused the small print to look like it was under a magnifying glass. Eventually, this annoyed her and she closed her eyes, making them go back to normal. I so love being able to control the on and off switch to them now. Makes life so much more manageable when you do not have to worry about sounds suddenly increasing in volume, or your hands feeling like they are burning when they shouldn't.

Eventually, the sensory adaptor had made her way towards the garage. She remembered from the comm that they were post to board the non-descript vans in the front. After moving herself from the back to the front, the girl found a van and boarded it easily. Her hands brushed against her white dress, adjusting her white hat afterwards. Then, Alex made sure her tiny white bag was sealed before relaxing herself. Well, time to wait and see what is in store for us.

"We will drink our fill of Alpha
Then, of golden sunshine that spills into the garage
Till our brains intertwine with no one for now "

Omega - Cafeteria to Danger Room - Hopefully this isn't as emasculating as 3rd grade dodgeball.

The chatter around the table took a very slight turn when the conversation began centering on what the day held for everyone. Daylia did say what Christian wanted to, albeit in a lot less words. Her speaking up and Kerri returning his glance kept him from saying anything at all. At least anything concerning what was going on in town.

"Somethin' tells me the expiration date on that comeback has long since passed," Christian fired back towards Kerri's direction before settling himself in more. While the group was still assembled, trying to figure out what to do, all Christian was want to do was just listen and try to think of something to do himself.

The subject of people getting into the DR for some target practice seemed to have piqued a few people's interests, Kerri asking if 'someone' wouldn't mind some company. "Nope. Never mind the company at all, ma'am," he said calmly before downing the last bits of juice he had left. He figured it was going to be a solo jaunt if anything, and Kerri wanting to join in was a slight, although welcomed, surprise.

Still though, indecision clouded his mind. He wanted to blow off some steam by even running around like an aimless wild beast in the DR, but he couldn't help but to shake the feeling that maybe he should accompany the newbies to the mall. Strength in numbers and all that jazz. But Jacen had chimed up, saying that mall activities had to be better than whatever was going on around here. And Lorelle had offered her car as the Omega's chariot into town.

Even with one of the more senior members of the squad going with whomever was heading into town, it did nothing to put his trepidation at rest. Though, he wouldn't voice his worries or displeasure... at least not openly. The indecision in Christian's mind was getting worse as he began to gather up his garbage that was strewn about the table. The moment he was getting ready to stand to his feet and leave the cafeteria, he saw Maddy creeping up on the assembled Omegas crew. He smirked a bit when she mentioned someone talking about shooting things, though it seemed she was on a mission to find someone.

"Well... whoever's doin' what," Christian said, standing from the table finally, "I'm sure I'll see y'all around." He bid everyone a farewell before walking away from the table to dispose of his things on the way out. His ears didn't miss the clarion call that Kerri had given out: meet people in the DR if he wanted in... and he DID bring it up in the first place.

***

Christian, as always, took the long way to get towards the Danger Room. He had walked half the perimeter of the school itself before finally coming across a random elevator that led to the basement levels. It wasn't until he had hit the floor he wanted that he procured the comm from his pocket and decided to finally turn up the volume level. With everything where it needed to be, he strapped the comm back on his wrist, then shoved his hands into his jeans pockets. It wasn't a long walk to the DR from here he imagined, but he was sure as hell going to take his time.

Take his time he did, wandering by some of the few areas in the basement levels and extending greetings to some of the more senior staff that worked in the basement levels. After doling his last 'how'd you do?' on his walk, he finally approached his destination... and the doors were wide open at the moment.

"He... hello?," Christian asked, poking his head through the door. Cautiously he looked around until he saw Kerri again, this time leaning up against the wall near the control panel.

"Sorry, didn't see ya there, ma'am," he said with a chuckle as he discarded whatever caution he exercised a moment ago and strode into the as of now empty Danger Room. Looking around at this marvel of alien technology, he couldn't help but to get the same sense of awe and wonderment that he had gotten the first time he had ever stepped foot in this particular part of the mansion.

"Kinda weird," Christian said absently, "I've seen things that are truly breathtakin', but nothing as truly awe-inspirin' as this room." And taking in the calm atmosphere was something he was going to do as quickly as he could. There was no doubt in his mind that whatever was in store for this particular session, it was going to devolve into one thing; chaos.

Scorch
Robert Mason Jr.

Alpha - Team
Music Room - Location
Admitting to being musically challenged - Currently

Rob just shrugged indifferently at Raine's response to his compliment. As far as he was concerned, he was just being honest, but then... When you've got no talent of your own, you tend to view everyone with that talent as exceptional. Still, Rob just thought he was being honest. Her question, however, had a decidedly awkward undertone to it, which seemed like a recurring atmosphere in the music room. Odd, since it always appeared so calm and comfortable when he was on the outside looking in. "Aheh, no. My musical talent ends with listening to it," he admitted, slightly nervous. "Though I do have an impeccable ability to make any instrument sound like a dying cat." It may not have been a particularly desirable ability, but an ability nonetheless. It was good for dispersing a crowd.

"As for hobbies..." Rob shrugged, looking past Raine in thought. "A bit of this, a bit of that, I guess. The only real constant has been," he paused for a heart beat as he picked his words, "honing my particular skill." It wasn't that far from the truth, but it certainly sounded a lot better than "lighting random fires in unpopulated locations." With his experience with shrinks, Rob understood the benefits of careful wording. "How about you? Any hobbies outside of the musical profession?" He barely even managed to get the question out before his comm went off.

"Right, that's us, so... to be continued?" He asked uncertainly before standing up and heading towards the door before a thought made his stop in his tracks. "Didn't Leo and Aurilie..." he said, spinning back to Raine. Not wanting to finish the thought, he stole a glance at Varis and Tsukino, as if looking for reassurance. "Right, no jumping to conclusions," he answered himself, before anyone else could. Now itching to get going, he waited for the others before heading to the garage.
