Seiji
Tearing a small strip of fabric off the bottom of one pant leg the jikininki dabbed it in the water West had brought for yaya then proceeded to clean Junko's arm as she huddled against his chest. All the while humming, lips against the top of her head. It had stopped bleeding, which was good, so after cleaning it he sliced the soiled end from the strip then tied the remained around her bicep. His thumb stroking in comforting lines along the top of the make shift bandage.
All the while he'd been listening to everyone around him, and he was relieved that Yaya wasn't hurt too seriously. A break was pretty bad, but she would heal alright. Besides, West was there, at least for now, and fron what he'd observed over the last month or so, if Sharra wasn't present, West made a pretty damn good stand in for the marid. The demon's comments on Junko's hair pulled a sudden frown from the ghost though, almost cringing before looking down to see how Junko would respond.
At the same time he caught Momo's worried look and smiled down at her, nodding before bumping his chin against J's forehead, tipping hr head back so he could kiss her cheek, brushing a strand of dark hair behind her ear. "You look beautiful, I promise," he murmured, lips cool against her warm skin. And if that didn't garner a more positive reaction perhaps a reminder that her best friend was mere inches away and painfully injured would. Turning his head just a little he whispered against the curve of her ear. "I think your friend could use you right about now, babe."

Once it was clear Yaya wasn't in immediate danger, Jove turned to better assess how Seiji and Junko were doing. Seiji looked more worried than when the pup had fallen overboard during their boat ride, and that was certainly saying something... But Junko, she seemed barely responsive.
Scrambling over he knelt next to the little kitsune girl, and focused his attention on Junko. This must have been the same expression Jove wore after an embarrassing run, that ashamed, traumatized fear of being seen by others in her weak state. But other than the cut on her arm, it was only her hair that seemed different...
But it didn't matter what happened, all that mattered was that she was not well. The pup's big, pale eyes just stared into her with the most heartbreaking "Please don't be sad, you are the best person ever," expression that a loyal puppy could give. Then he looked over at Yaya, Seiji, and Ren, once again pleading with his eyes that they make it better. Junko had been so sweet to him, helping him learn to swim and whatnot, it made his little ghostly heart ache to see her in such a state.

Looks like this place wasn't going to be as bad as he thought. If there were students actually banding together like this for the sake of one person's care, then it was a place with good intentions. he was so distracted in thought that he didn't realize that the gryphon wanted the damp cloth from his grasp, and offered it to him to let him take care of the treatment and backed up a bit to give him space to work. "By all means, go ahead." he said rather softly. realizing that he was in a rather large group all of a sudden. There were a lot of people here, and he felt suddenly out of place.
There were many here, even a few he hasn't seen yet, a sad eyed young ghoul who was clutching onto her locks and refused to look at the others. She had her arm locked with the slate colored boil as if he was anchor rooting her to this spot. It was plain to see that she was very upset over something. and there was another ghoul there, with eyes so wide that it was almost painful to look at directly, her concern for the other ghoul was palpable.
"I'm rather sorry, I never introduced myself, my names Damien, I just got enrolled to your school." he said to those that were around, just to get the introduction out of the way as quickly as possible before he started to panic from being around so many people he didn't know. His arms were clenched to his sides as he gave a short bow. " I do hope that we can get along well, and to be able to help you all out as much as I can." It was absolutely nerve wracking to address everyone at once, but at least they would be able to put a face to the name, right?
He saw that the Gryphon handed the damp cloth back to him, and went to scrub the cloth clean and dampen it again in case it was needed for the other ghouls injury. Doing anything he could to avert his attention from anyone that may be watching him.

(( sneakin in for one time only to give yaya something to grab... *snerk* ))
With a roll of his eyes, West kneeled beside the marid, volunteering himself as the 'someone to hold onto' Ren alluded to. Temporarily. Very temporarily.

Oh sweet Jack, her attempts to shrink and hide weren't working. Everyone was looking at her. They were all looking and they were all judging. She was hideous, they could all see that. She should just go jump off a cliff! Years of effort just...thrown to the ground and walked on by a jerk in a hooded robe. How dare they. Oh no! Yaya was talking to her! Whatshouldshedowhatshouldshedo?! Hurt? Um...was she hurt? No..she--oh, wait. Yes she was. Seiji was even bandaging it right now, and the care he was putting into it made her heart clench painfully but flutter happily at the same time. Despite her behavior and her appearance he was still being so sweet and taking care of her. Ugh, she was pathetic. "My arm, I guess..." It felt fine, really. She was probably even good to move on.
She really wanted to leave right now.
She hadn't noticed Tomoko's worries until the ghoul placed the ball of stars on Junko's lap, blinking and looking down at it. Huh? But...but wasn't this Tomoko's? Why was she giving it to Junko? Her hands rested on the ball and gently pet it, staring down at the pretty stars and sniffling a bit. She rubbed her lips together as Tomoko said it didn't look that bad, about to even give her the tiniest smile...until West opened his big mouth.
"Sh'does look better this way. An' I bet She's pissed."
Her cheeks flushed instantly and her hands clenched around the ball like doing so would keep her calm. Gotta...keep...calm...gotta keep calm...! "What the ******** do you THINK, PINKY?!" She barked at West, growling after. Of course She was angry! It didn't help that even without Her influence Junko was heartbroken, so Her anger was just exacerbating it, really! Ugh! Junko winced at Her yelling but didn't apologize for it for once, since...quite honestly it was something she had been thinking herself. The Mistress just had more guts than her.
"Th-thank you, Seiji.." She said quietly to his murmur, trying not to whimper. Damnit, West. You...bit JERK! Wait, what?! Yaya was hurt?! Junko's head whipped up and she turned her attention to her friend, meeting eyes with Jove in the process. Her heart clenched again. Oh, Jack. He was so adorable. Why were he and Tomoko so adorable? But...but Yaya was hurt! Junko wiped a few tears away that were trying to escape her eyes, trying to be as discreet as possible about it. She then hugged the ball of stars to her chest. "Are you alright, Yaya?"
Wait..who was that boil over there? Junko didn't know him...which meant...oh Jack! No! This would be his first impression of her?! WHY?!

Junko was getting the admiring stare of two kitsunes (Well, Jove was close enough to one in Tomoko's mind) as she was patched up by the ghost, seeming content (though she was secretly panicking that she'd let -someone else- hold onto her ball of stars) when Junko seemed to take to the comfort-item that she'd offered her. However, it seemed that West (who she did google-y eye at a bit, remnants of 'MY HERO' from the Shark-incident) opened his mouth and the other-mouth reacted unhappily.
Tomoko almost immediately clutched onto Jove and wilted, her ears drooping during the outburst, brows furrowing together out of concern.
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
Clearly Jove had just obtained the status of 'LET ME CLING TO YOU WHILE I'M SCARED OF THE OUTBURST'. Or something like that. He was close and she was shying away from the yelling, after all. Tomoko was sure that the Mistress had even used a really bad word! It was..very very... .... ...
<ónò>
Tomoko probably would have whimpered if she'd had four paws instead of thumbs. She did like thumbs though. Easier to transport things with.

Night was still in a daze as he was sitting outside of the tent's camp, everyone had been rushing around. He barely remembered the people who called his name, he knew one was the similar voice of Lilura, the reaper who had been so kind. Another from a person he didn't know.
It was all a blur in the chaos of the ships crashing and the pure fact that he was soaking wet. Part of him wanted to roll and get the wetness removed from his very bone structure, but such was his bad luck that it wasn't that easy. Hoping that moving around would be better, Night begin to walk the compound again. Where should he go?
"Darn, I should've snuck on Tybalt's or Mei's ship," Night snorted as he walked past more students, "Or maybe LW...should've tried to find them. Ahh such bad luck."
He continued to wander until he heard some of the students talking about the light house...a cornfield or a abandoned town. So many places, would he know anyone there?

all things considered, this was all actually pretty nice. Everyone sitting around the fire and getting to know one another and just enjoy each others company. If they had been anywhere else, anywhere else, it would have been darn right pleasant. She continued smiling up at Ren as he spoke so fondly of Jove, knowing exactly how the boil felt on the matter. The pup meant a lot to her as well and it made her happy to know that there were so many people around to look out for him.
When Junko turned to glance her way, the djinn's heart nearly broke. Her friend looked so miserable. "I'll be ok." It was only a break, it would heal. "Is your arm alright?" She craned her neck a little in an attempt to see, but the angle was off. She had to trust Seiji would patch the ghoul up and take care of her.
With her concern so singularly placed on Junko the ghoul didn't really hear what Ren was saying. She did however feel his hand on her foot and jerked around immediately, blue eyes going wide. He was holding her foot, and a damp clothe, looking at her with the most apologetic look she had ever seen. What was he doing? She tensed automatically, toes curling as she tried to draw her foot away from the boy, stopping only as West kneeled down beside her. "Wait wait wait wa-" Her protests rose in pitch and frequency until a high gasp of pain passed her lips.
She grabbed at West as Ren worked at her ankle. Writhing, face turning to bury against his chest to muffle the pain filled whimpers she simply couldn't hold back. Oh Jack, that hurt! She could feel tears burning at the corners of tightly shut eyes and she didn't jacking care. She squirmed and she cried and she clung to her friend, and nothing helped the pain.
Even after he'd finished cleaning the injury the area all around it ached. Dull, stabbing pain shooting up the length of her leg. She whimpered again, pressing her face against the wrath demon's side, turning only enough to peek at the gryphon out the corner of one eye as he tied the bandanna around the break.

To say West hadn't been expecting what happened next would have probably been the understatement of the year. He supposed that was what he got for being nice, which was yet another reason why he was never going to be nice ever, ever again. The boil's eyes grew wide and his arms jerked outward for a second, only his pride stopping him from pushing her away, no matter how much pain she was in. He was not going to show seemingly everyone on the planet just how uncomfortable he was around clingy ghouls. Instead he pat at her back awkwardly and tried to think about pummeling some innocent soul unconscious.
It was only after Ren was finished that West got past mortified and on to a slightly more charitable emotion. He gave Yaya a brief squeeze followed by, "'t's done," before loosening his grip and narrowing his eyes at Junko and the back of Junko's head. Truthfully, he was a bit too shell-shocked at the moment to properly reply to the Mistress' outburst, but he would store her words away as well. It seemed he and Junko would have quite a bit to talk about when they got back to school, if they all even survived that long.

Now that was priceless. The sight of Yaya clinging onto the red oafs arm for dear life with that expression on his face. He couldn't suppress the smirk that he had on, growing to the point of being in pain. He would have to admit that it was a cute sight, funny, but a cute sight.
His ears flopped over as he saw the sad eyed girl hiding from him. Did he say something wrong? He hoped that he didn't upset her somehow. He started to pout, wondering what he could have said or done to make someone even afraid of him, was it his markings? He wondered as he brushed his fingertips along the slightly roughened skin.

(( childs menu - adopts acct ;u; )) Claire was very confused. Very, very confused. She was on the way to grab a snack before dying her hair when suddenly... She was somewhere else. Maybe it was because she had decided to close her eyes and walk around to see what being blind was like, or maybe it was because she had passed out or something. WHO KNEW? Not Claire, that's for sure. The ground sunk a bit as she stepped on it and it crackled slightly under her boots. It felt like sand. Yeah, it probably was. Claire could make out a tent beside her. She suddenly felt suspicious. Where in the name of Jack was she? She bit her lip and vaguely registered that she was still holding the bottle of hair-dye she intended to use. She hoped she wouldn't drop it because she really wanted to dye her hair and it was a very expensive brand. She stepped forward nervously. Shadowy figures were creeping in the mist and she felt scared, also hearing possibly familiar voices. She looked around quickly as she yelled " HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO? IS ANYONE HEREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE? I'M CLAIRE! WHO ARE YOU? WHERE AM I? I'M HUNGRY, DO YOU HAVE FOOD? IF YOU HAVE FOOD I'D LIKE SOME IF THAT'S OKAY. HELLOOOOOOO? " That'd be sure to get their attention.

Jove yipped slightly as the little kitsune ghoul beside him suddenly clung to him, the ears that had flattened back during the Mistress's yelling perking straight up with surprise. Ghouls and Ren... they were the worst at surprise clinging! Why did they always have to cling? It must have been like the hand holding, just something ghouls did. Unfortunately he was about as comfortable with the clinging as West was.
Once he got over his surprise, Jove put one cold hand over Tomoko's and rubbed it, trying to calm the young ghoul down. It was Junko's short hair that bothered her to such an extent? He still thought she looked really pretty even without the long tresses, and nothing that happened to her on the outside could change how wonderful she was. The little ghost squeezed Tomoko's hand in reassurance. He hadn't realized yet that helping someone else gave himself an extra boost of courage to look out for his friends. He was not above whining though, and he did so before uttering one little word to Junko, "Pretty..."
His ears flattened as he heard Yaya's pained whimpers, his eyes once again large and sad and pleading for someone to make her feel better. Ren was helping her, wasn't he? And that redhead? His own whines rose in volume.
And then he heard a voice from the mist that made his heart leap up into his throat. If the pup had known it was just another student from the academy he wouldn't have tightened his grip on Tomoko or kept whining like someone was standing on his tail.

Claire heard a continuous wail and was suddenly very frightened. What if it was an animal? Animals are dangerous she thought, and she started to breathe very fast. What if it was going to hurt her? A tear ran down her cheek and her chin started to wobble. She let out a few sobs before whimpering: "Y-you don't have to *sniff* give me food, that's okay. I can leave, please d-don't hurt me. I d-don't even taste nice or anything..." She stepped backwards, still sobbing. Such a tough girl.

"Pleased to meet you, Damien," Ren said, shifting positions as he gritted his teeth, hands moving to Yaya's foot. "Sorry that your welcome to Amityville High probably isn't quite what you expected."
"One second, and I'll greet you more properly," he added, casting a grimacing grin up to the hellhound, and with a quick twist, he began wrapping Yaya's ankle. The djinn let out a pained cry, and her body jerked, making it difficult to finish. Ren moved closer, pressing a knee to Yaya's upper leg to keep her from moving to much as he finished. It was unorthodox, yes, and it made him flinch visibly to hear that horrible gasp of pain, but he didn't stop; it would only make it worse to leave the ankle unattended to. A quick glance sideways saw that Jove had his ears back against his head, a completely devastated expression on his face. Ren's tail slipped over, linking with the puppy's tail, giving it a gentle squeeze. He gave Jove an apologetic glance, hoping to reassure the poor boil.
Tying it off, Ren relieved the pressure from Yaya's leg, moving back completely. However he leaned over her, pressing the backs of his fingers to her forehead briefly.
"You okay?" he asked her gently. "No fever or shock or anything, right?"
His suggestion to grab onto someone had apparently done at least a little good; Yaya was clinging to the redhead for dear life, who looked, to say the least, more than a little taken aback and quite disgruntled, though he put up with it. Good sport.
Dropping his hand from Yaya's head, Ren moved to look at Junko and the dark skinned boil now, putting a hand on Jove's shoulder.
"You all right, darling?" he asked her gently, offering her a small smile. The nickname slipped out unintentionally; it was a force of habit - he called everyone, even the boils, some sort of moniker by now - though he hoped it wouldn't offend the boil whose lap she sat on, whom Ren assumed was her boilfriend. "Do you need anything? I have, ah...some candy somewhere, I believe." A pause. "Might be a little wet, but otherwise in good shape."
"HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO? IS ANYONE HEREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE? I'M CLAIRE! WHO ARE YOU? WHERE AM I? I'M HUNGRY, DO YOU HAVE FOOD? IF YOU HAVE FOOD I'D LIKE SOME IF THAT'S OKAY. HELLOOOOOOO?"
Ren knew that voice. Brows creasing together, he stood, glancing around in the thick fog. He could only make out vague shapes, and with a quick one second gesture back to the rest of the group, tail still entwined with Jove's, he squinted off into the fog.
"CLAIRE?" Ren called loudly, trying to find the ghoul, but he didn't dare move away from the group; he had already lost the others, and he did not want to leave just quite yet, not until they were safe. "Claire, darling, it's Ren - we're over here."

Seiji
Red on black eyes widened at the sudden, though not entirely unexpected outburst from Her. In truth he'd seen that coming, from the second the demon boil had opened his mouth this was the inevitable conclusion. Junko may not have had the heart or malice to snap like that, but She certainly did. All the same, the jikininki winced, tightening his hold on his ghoul as she finally turned her attention to Yaya just in time to see the djinn writhe in pain. Well that was just amazing timing, wasn't it.
At least she was no longer ignoring everyone though, so poor timing or not, it had worked. Any distraction from the shortened state of her hair was welcome at this point. Wait, scratch that. If another hooded figure showed up out of the blue that wouldn't be good.
Rather then watch one of his friends in pain, Seiji turned his attention up to the hellhound trying to introduce himself to everyone. "Nice to meet you, bro. I'm Seiji, also relatively new to the school." And since everyone was busy or distracted, he might as well take the initiative and introduce them himself. Starting on his side, the ghost lay a hand on Momo's head, smiling down at her. "This is Tomoko, beside her his Jove." He removed his hand to brush fingers down Junko's arm. "This is Junko." Next he pointed to the avarice demon. "That is Westus, the demon clinging to him is Hadiyya. The freckled guy is.. Ren?" He hadn't really formally met him, but he had heard him introducing himself to Yaya.
++++++++++
Yaya
With all manipulation of her leg finished the djinn finally sagged in West's arms. Relieved and damn near exhausted. That didn't loosen her hold on him one tiny bit, but she was no longer pressed so very tightly to his chest. Any discomfort he might have been radiating was either ignored as it always was or simply missed. Even if he was adverse to touchy-feely, he had knelt down specifically to offer her some measure of comfort, and that certainly counted for something. The reassuring squeeze around her shoulders and mumbled slur affirming it was over meant more in that moment then he could possibly imagine.
As Ren leaned over her to press cool fingers to her forehead she shivered, automatically, but sighed. It felt nice. She wasn't so much feverish as just over heated from all the stress and struggling. "Relatively okay." She murmured back to him, fingertips tensing along West's forearm. There was a niggling feeling that perhaps she should thank him for his help, but with her leg still throbbing painfully she wasn't quite willing. Yet. She'd certainly show a lot more gratitude later when she was feeling better.
She could hear everyone else talking, but what they were saying didn't really sink in, not really. There was someone out there yelling, apparently Ren knew them. Jove's voice was in there, along with Seiji labeling them all off by name for the new student. Right that second Yaya just didn't care.
She released West with one hand so she could reach out to take one of Junko's squeezing the other ghoul's fingers. It would be alright.
