Benji didn't know what the ******** was going on, but it was cold and there were whales and OOH SHINY LIGHTS.
The boy didn't know that he was dreaming, but like any dreamer who didn't know they were dreaming, everything made sense. Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt (yet).
Astride the back of an orca, he looked quite small. The orca probably should have clued him in that this was not real, but he was almost blissfully unaware of anything besides just how awesome it felt. Also, there were others. And others were making to grab at the lights. So why not?
He made a pretty good effort at it, rising up on the back of his oceanic mount to snatch at the colors. The whale shook under him, then bucked gently, encouraging him off of its back and onto the icy island with the rest. This did end up with him flying about a foot off the ground and sliding across the ice.
"Owww." Ice ******** burnt when you slid your bare skin across it. He got up, red-cheeked and befuddled. He was quite tall.
((Just to clarify, this is a civilian roll))

Sheldon was kind of wishing that there was some kind of bottle or something, to shove the little fairies into. And also hoped they weren't going to start speaking to them in an annoying assertive way of few words.

Kat had decided to go to bed rather late that night- after all, it was Friday and she didn't have work the next morning. It seemed as if the very moment she closed her eyes, they snapped back open and Sailor Leto was in this god-forsaken place again. This time, she was not Lava!Jesus. No no. Not only was there no lava for her to walk on, it was ******** cold. And there were rainbows. And orcas. And people were running and she was very very confused.
And then she saw the fairies. Oooooooooooooooooooooooooh fairies~ This was much more fun than getting your a** handed to you by lava and rocks and a very pissed off giant cat! She ran around the icy land, hands held high, trying to catch the glowing fairies around her.

And yet, despite Zircon's mile-wide competitive streak, she was nevertheless drawn to the glowing orbs of light that danced around her. Fairies. Go figure. The lieutenant decided that ultimately, she wasn't going to question it. She wanted some for herself.
Furtively, she looked around her (everyone else was doing it!), and then with a quick glance upwards her hand darted towards the flickers, hoping to grab at least one.

Sorry for the mistake! D:And as soon as the fairy lights had appeared, they had completely vanished! One could only hope that they might appear again, but with each one that was caught, a renewed sense of hope and motivation filled the fortunate racers. The scenery around them was starting to melt away into a blur, but that didn't stop anyone from wanting to keep running! Occasionally an orca would leap up beside a racer and chatter a greeting... almost as if they were trying to hint at something. Maybe you could go faster if you jumped on them for a moment? Roll ONE 4-SIDED DIE to attempt a ride on an orca!
If you roll a ONE... your jump is successful! Your orca pal carries you ahead of your opponents, and you earn 50 points!
If you roll a TWO or THREE... things don't go quite as well. Maybe your companion is sick. However, it still moves fast enough that you earn 30 points.
If you roll a FOUR... you end up missing completely and the time it takes to get you back to the race sets you behind. This'll earn you a measly FIVE points. Once you finish this leg of the race, you end up at a particularly large island that seems to be a dead end at this point in time. However, you can always spend that extra energy beating on the opposition while you try to piece together what you're supposed to do next! ROUND 4 START!!This one will last until around 10AM CST tomorrow!

Ares was already riding an orca -- with Tanzanite, unfortunately -- but she saw a second one moving quite a bit faster swimming by. "The day will come, Tanzanite, when you will kneel before me," she hissed. With a grunt, the Senshi of Smoke attempted to fling herself over to the other whale and as far away from Arm and its tongue as possible.
The new whale was definitely moving faster! But still not as fast as some of the others, unfortunately.

Leto pouted and stopped immediately in her tracks as she fairies disappeared. And then she felt like she needed to run. She needed to run and never ever stop and she didn't know why. she shrugged her shoulders and took off running, and because she just so happened to wake up in Elysion in the middle of the running and fairy chasing people, she wasn't too far behind! She ran faster than her legs had ever taken her before and then all of a sudden there was an orca. ********. There was absolutely no stopping her now! She held her breath and took a lead, jumping onto the orca in front of her and hoping that luck was on her side this time around and she would get to the other side.
What the ********? Was Ares seriously below everyone in the water, riding a ******** orca? This place was ridiculous.

Just as soon as the fairy lights appeared... they were gone just as quick. "Awh..." Faya let out a pitiful squeak as the lights vanished. "I uh.. I mean..."
"OH LOOKIT THE WHALES!" She said out loud, changing the subject and pointing the whales out to moonstone... wondering how the hell they can jump this high.
"..I think it wants us to jump on it?" Fayalite questioned outloud, looking back at the other lieutenant for support.
"..Oh well this is one rainbow filled crack dream anyways, SURE lets ride a Orca!" She exclaimed trying to jump on its back.

Hugbell was laughing as Sheldon was trying to find something to put the fairies in. "Maybe we should've bought bird cages, I think fairies like those."
She continued to follow the fairies watching the whales jump out of the water beside her, she looked back at Sinon. Wondering if the older senshi and the older civilian were going to follow her.
She watched the Whales again as they chattered at her before she tried to jump on one. "Will you take me for a ride?" She asked hoping not to hit the ice cold water.

Ah s**t, no rainbow lights to throw at Tanz or and hawt girl's tits. So much for an early Mardi Gras. Oh well, Castor kept going forward, not paying the rainbow world much attention. Until- "Dude I didn't know you gay fish could fly." The Orcas were leading up beside them. clicking like crazy. "I wish I wish I could speak gay fish~" He could do more then sing. "Sup Lisa Frank?" The orca clicked away. Hmmm..they looked like they were bouncy. And Ares and Tanz had bounced up from them ******** YEAH~"

The lights she had tried to capture were gone, and with them that chance to fulfill her one true goal of ridding herself of every annoyance that plagued her now. There had to be another way, and so she ran. Running had brought her to see the fairy lights, running would obviously bring her to something better, and hopefully something that wouldn't disappear as soon as she wrapped her fingers around it.
Nemesis glanced to the side, and her expression was one of vague disbelief as an orca waved a fin at her in greeting. Okay. Well, at least it wasn't eating her, and she had the vaguest thought tickling the back of her mind... That orca was certainly going fast. Whatever destination she was heading for would be reached quicker if she somehow managed to ride it. The orca was practically waving an invitation for her!
Right. That was it. She was getting on the goddamn orca.

Sheldon nearly pouted when the little flickers of lights vanished, he had managed to grab a couple handfuls before they were gone. So warm, so bright, so happy but now gone. If there was any consolation, at least he finally caught up properly to Hugbell and Sinon, "missed me?"
All there was left was to just keep running... just keep running, running. What do we do, we run we run. Or perhaps those orcas had a better idea. Sheldon watched the one that was chittering loudly near him, as if trying to tell him something. He needed to refrain from making a Lassie joke right about now. For now, perhaps he'd try to climb back onto him - was that the one he had been on earlier?

Once the fairy lights winked out of existence, Moonstone blinked a bit and then shook her head as though clearing it of cobwebs and mist. What the hell just happened there? Why were they all so entrapped by the idea of capturing little specks of flickering light?
"Fayalite, I think you were right - this place is really trippy. I don't like it." She preferred when things made sense - that was why she liked horses so damned much - they always made sense. But there, now that lights were gone (and that strangely disturbing fascination gone with them), she felt the urge to get back to running again.
Pandora reached a hand out to her companion - Fayalite was slower than she was, but they needed to move quickly, so she would help drag the other Negaverse agent along. But before she could do that, the other girl was pointing out more of those crazy sea beasties. "O-kay..." She shook her head again, not wanting to believe that rainbow orcas existed...or that they should try to ride them. But with Fayalite's excitement, she gave in.
"You know what, screw it. Let's ride that ******** Orca!"

Orcas. And rainbow lights.
Somehow, this wasn't the kind of Elysion she was expecting; from what Flora had grumpily mentioned, her previous battles in Elysion had been riddled with wings, lava, rocks and it had sounded dangerous. But this? This seemed like the peaceful part of Elysion, and Princess Chronos could not help but smile. She broke into a run, spurred on by the energy within her and all the others doing the same. She had no idea what they were running for, where exactly they were running to, but it was better than simply standing still and looking lost.
An orca leaped up beside her, chattering with what she swore was a smile. A sudden idea came to her, as she watched some riding upon other orcas, and Chronos decided to take a leap of faith. It worked, and the orca she was riding on carried her forward, all the while sounding as though it would like to make conversation with the Princess upon its back.
If only she could understand what it was talking about.
