Alex could hear her coming up behind him. He smirked to himself.
He waited until she neared him, then spoke up. "What do you think you're doing, sneaking up on me like that?" His meditation broken, he stood to his feet, dusting off his outfit of the troll blood still remaining. "After that troll attacked me, I could have mistaken you for its mate, or perhaps one of its children coming to avenge it."
He turned slowly, looking Piroa up and down. "I don't like hurting people if I don't have to, but the way you're approaching me with your hand on your sword gives me the false pretense that I may need to defend myself. so." He placed both hands on the hilt of his blade, pulling it out of its sheath. It made a loud metal on metal grinding sound before he drew it out, smashing it into the ground with a loud 'clang.'
He lifted the blade with one arm, leaving it to rest on hiss houlder. "Why don't you tell me what you want, before I assume you're just another monster and vanquish you back to whatever hell you came from?" He stood, waiting for a response.

 Piora slowly moved her hand away from her blade."I do apologize for the sneaking nature,but I was and still am uncertan of your alliance." She looked the man over,trying to figure out who much of a threat he was."I am Piora,an elf.

Alex sighed, resheathing his weapon. "I'm Alexander, or just Alex if you want for short." He smirked, showing off some of his fangs. I'm a wolf demon. well, half I guess." His wolf ears rose off his head, twitching slightly. "I guess it's partly my fault, everyone here is so agressive compared to where I'm from, I'm a bit more cautious than normal."
He tilted his head. "As for my alliance..." He realized, he didn't know where this woman's alliances lay as well. he could be giving himself away to an enemy. He looked thoughtful for a moment. "I mind my own business, I guess you could say I don't really have an alliance." It seemed believable, there were many people still around who couldn't care one way or the other however the earth ended up, as long as they profited from it in the end. He would pass for that until he figured out who was friend and who was foe.

Piora shrugged.He seemed beliveable enough."Where are you heading if you don't mind me asking. The lands have become dangerious for single travellers since...Kefka." She said the last word in almsot a wisper . Heck if he was against her lord,then she had fooled him with her hesitent reply. If he was on her side,then she had said his name with resepct. It was a win/win situation.

"I'm heading...to..." He looked thoughtful. "...Huh, I wasn't really heading anywhere in particular to be honest. Ever since I can remember I've just been wandering. I had a bad case of amnesia a few years ago, so I can't really remember much of anything." He shrugged.
"Ever since I've just been looking for work, I was hoping there was someone in this direction who could use a body guard, or something along those lines. I mean, I don't even really care who it's for as long as I make some of the good stuff in the end." He smirked again. "What are you doing out here anyways? You don't normally see women wandering around the wilderness with their hands on their sword ready to strike down anything that moves..."
He looked her over. "Come to think of it, I don't see many women out on their own at all. Not without someone to protect them, anyways."

"Well I can handle myself thank you Alex." She said."I was a warrior before my people were forced into slavery." That little piece of information would make anything think she was against Kefka,which is what she needed. "I am travelling with others,they are just behind." Piora didn't care what happened to Raku's group,as long as she got what her lord required from her.

"A slave, yet a warrior at the same time? Admirable." He turned his back to her, walking away a bit. "I'm sorry to hear about you and your people being enslaved, though I'm not familiar with the rules it comes with, I suppose it means you cannot disobey your master."
He glanced at her from over his shoulder. "So, if you don't mind telling me, just who is your master?" It was a good move on his part, if she refused to tell him then he would have reason to be suspicious of her alliances, and if she said it was one of her associates behind her he would be able to ask them to see if she was lying.
