"No, no, it's okay, I'm fine," Lenore said hurriedly. "I been hit over the head with worse, don't worry about it."
Looking by turn earnestly sympathetic and trying to keep an amused smile off her face, Len straightened out and took a long breath. Jeez, but all that had made her tired.
"I'm fine, really."

Osso looked at Len again as she spoke.
"You're lieing," Kanti replied as she listend to Lenore. "You're not 'fine', because if you were completely fine, I'd know."
The Mishap raised his brows, worried on the inside, as he looked from Kanti to Lenore.
Taking the hint that Osso wasn't, or didn't know how to say it at the moment, goin to say something, she did. "I'm like a truth seer, I know when you're lying." A sly little smile played on her face for a few moments.
"...At least that's what my mom says I am."

"No, I'm really fi-aaaah...." Lenore said, her words cut off by a yawn. She flushed slightly. "Er. Fine."
She shrugged slightly then, knuckling her eyes.
"Iffen I do magic too long I get really tired, that's all," she amended. "It's really annoying..."

Osso's sternness was ruined as he chuckled lightly at Len when her words we cut off by the yawn.
Soon he and Kanti were both nodding in understanding. "Sorry, Len, it's sort of my fault..." Osso said.
"Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhh....." sounded Kanti.
"What?"
"So THIS is Lenore the girlfriend person? The one you're always talking to yourself about and the one you always write about and how-"
"YOU LITTLE SNOOP!" Osso replied and put his palm to his face, his cheeks flushing a dark gray.

Fighting off another yawn, Lenore turned it into a laugh.
"Sneaky," she said to Kanti, a note of approval in her voice. She glanced at Osso then, feeling a blush blossom over her face. He wrote about her? Huh? She wanted to ask, but Kanti seemed to know too much as it was. She'd wait until they were alone again before she asked.

Kanti gave a small bow towards Lenore before sticking her tongue out at Osso.
Osso removed his hand from his face and hollow sockets shot daggers at the kendo-uniform clad girl. Oohhhhh she was going to get it when they got home.
Giving a small 'teehee', Kanti moved forward. Extending a tri-colored hand (black spots covered the top of her hand along with a sandy color and black finger tips, the girl opened her mouth to properly introduce herself, but before she could, mouth made an "o" shape and hand fell back to her side; she had finally noticed the shiny blades that protruded from Lenore's arms.
"Pretty....Can I touch them?" She had already lowered herself into a crouch next to one of the wings, index finger extended.

"Yeah...just the flat of them, though, not the edges. Those'll slice your fingers right off."
Spreading an arm out for Kanti, Len glanced up at Osso again and had to bite her lip in an effort not to laugh.
"So...I'm guessing she's yours," she said. "Little sister? Cousin?"

Osso looked back at Lenore as the question was asked. "Yeah, she's my li-"
"-little sister. Name is Kanti, though I think Calso already explained that through his yelling," Kanti butted in, looking up at Lenore. Large, fluffy, feline tail flicked idly behind her in a curious manner as she soon went back to poking and sniffing the silver blades as if she hadn't said a thing.
The Mishap just sighed in an annoyed fashion as he shook his head at the feline girl.

"Pleased to meet you, Kanti," Len said, ready to yank her arm out of reach if the girl endangered herself. She glanced up at Osso again and had to bite back a laughing sigh. She wished, just for a moment, she had a sibling to be deeply annoyed with.
The moment passed and she forgot it, attention drawn back to Kanti again.

Shaking his head, again, Osso finally just sighed and plopped down onto the grass next to the crouching girl and Len's feet. Crossing his legs, he propped up his head with his hand, though a rather shrill chortle soon rang in his ear.
Sitting up straight, the boy looked around him for its source.
"What are you doing?" Kanti asked, looking at Osso as if he had suddenly lost his mind.
"Uh..." again the chortle sounded and Osso jumped and reached behind his neck. Bringing his hand back in front of him, he opened his palm an revealed the angered tuft of black fur with lamp-like eyes. "He bit me!"
"He-HAHA," Kanti snorted. "Poor Klaz, you probably squished him or something."
"I had forgotten he was in my hood...oops."
The black imp skittered down the boy's arm and onto the grass before pausing to sit up-right at Len's foot.

"He bit you? Ack, bad Klaz."
Lenore squatted down and glared at the imp, face set in a deeply stern expression.
"You're lucky Cole ain't here," she said in an only quarter-serious voice. "He'd eat you for that."

Both Kanti and Osso laughed at that one. their voices grew a little louder when Klaz squeaked at Lenore's threat and dove into Osso's sleeve. From there the imp chittered and cursed, eyes glowing out from the dark material.
"Cole some big....thing?" Kanti asked.
"Yeah...or well, he was when Len and I were little. How big is he?"

"He's a corpse-dragon, Kanti. And he's still pretty big," Lenore said idly, grinning as she watched Klaz. "Big-dog size at the least. He can still knock me over no problem."
She glanced over in the direction of the out-of-bounds forest, wondering.
"Chase is bigger, though. Way bigger."

"OOooooo," Kanti's amber eyes grew larger at the fact of Cole being a corpse-dragon.
Osso nodded and chuckled, but at the mention of Chase, he looked back up at her. "Who's Chase?"

"Oh yeah, I never told you about him..."
Lenore pointed out at the forest, combing the thickly growing trees for a flash of golden brown fur. No such luck.
"Last winter I went into the woods and I found him, all beat up an' stuff. He's like...a ginormous mutant mountain lion. With four eyes," she said. "He's stuck up and acts just like a cat. I haven't seen him for a while..."
She shivered at the detestable word, then glanced at Kanti.
"Er. No offense."
