"Langley, forward." Nyx climbed off of the giant bird and it leaned forward, so that its back was almost horizontal. "Climb on and put your legs under his wings." Faleen was hurt, a fact that was obvious from the amount of fluids that were covering her clothes and her hands, and Nyx guessed that whatever amount of adrenaline keeping the rocket walking and talking would wear off eventually. On the back of something high in the air was a terrible place to fall from, so Nyx intended to sit behind Faleen, to make sure she didn't fall if she did pass out.

The instructions were much welcomed, since she didn't know the first thing about flying pokemon. but even as she pictured what she needed to do, the grunt hesitated for a moment, eying moving along Langley's back uncertainly.
Faleen found herself caught up in a developing haze of confusion, simple things were becoming more difficult to understand, such as walking, or language. "I've never... flown before" she said, a little awkwardly, but, after she said that, she did as Nyx had instructed, after all Faleen didn't want to hold Nyx up from leaving with the rest of the group.
The posture was new and awkward. the feathers under her hands were soft, somewhat soothing against the pain, though she quickly drew her hands off of the Pokemon, knowing she was getting blood on the Agent's Pidgeot. What got to Faleen the most was how wide open the aria was around her, and when the Pokemon moved, or breathed under her, she found she was having difficulty predicting how it would move next.

Nyx saddled up behind the grunt and tightened her grip with her legs, making up for the fact that her normal hand holds were further away. "Don't worry, you won't fall off. Bend your legs so that your feet are up against his body, and grip with your knees, but not too tight. Also, you can hold on with your hands, just don't yank his feathers. He has shoulders, you can hold on there, where the wing meets his body, and you don't hurt him or be in the way. Also, the most comfortable way to ride is to lean forward up against him." It was also the best way, reducing the drag and the likelihood of a random gust of wind knocking the rider off.
The Agent resembled a small child holding on to their parent on the back of a motorcycle with the size difference between the two women. Riding a Pidgeot with another person was a very intimate arrangement. Luckily, Nyx was wrapped in tin-foil, and wouldn't be soaked in the blood coming from Faleen's various wounds.
"Langley, stand." Nyx commanded, and the loyal Pidgeot slowly stood up; A situation where grasping and hand holds were much more important. "We're going to take off now, hold on." Langley puffed up and spread his wings, giving them a few test flaps, getting used to the weight of two people instead of the normal one. After he was sure of himself, he flapped roughtly a few times and took off into the air.

And hold on she did, though, as Nyx had instructed, not to tightly as to hurt the bird, as much as she just wanted to cling desperately when they began to move. Her stomach lurching when the wings next to her began to pump, giving her the horrible feeling that she might be knocked off, or side off the slick feathers. She didn't though, she did as Nyx had instructed, The grunt couldn't hold back a strangled yelp, pressing herself down against the back of the Pidgeot's neck, shaking hands holding the shoulders of the bird as firmly as she could.
Ohh she didn't like this, she didn't like this at all.

Once everyone and the egg had been flown out of the volcano, Nikki having been transported by her Pidgeot, the group was then loaded back into the helicopter and made a beeline for HQ.
Despite the heavy casualties, the sudden and unexpected arrival of Team Galactic, and the loss of Ho-oh, they would return at least somewhat victorious.
