Virgo had been out with her mother, who was visiting for Christmas; and she'd heard the screams begin. Taking a moment to reassure her mother--just going to find a friend! go home! it'll be okay--she had dashed off to henshin and then join the battle.
Of course, there wasn't much that she could do. She knocked a few Negaversers back who came too close, looked through the crowd--where were her Zodiacs? Where was Leo, Aquarius, Gemini--there was no one but her--
And then, far off, she spotted Tara. Again, in almost the opposite direction, the Princess and one of her Handmaidens. Flora. Well, her first duty was to protect the Princess, so she started to shove her way through the crowd. She absolutely had to get to the Princess--but as she did, she heard something. The edges of the galaxy? This had come through the Surrounding?
"So whatever this is came through the Surrounding," she said, approaching the group with her mouth settled into a firm line. "But she can't have ever come here before. I would remember."

While the rest of the city fought in the ice and snow, Mackenzie almost-Boskovic lay half-asleep on the bed she shared with Andeon, sprawled atop the pile of pillows and blankets without a care in the world. She hadn't gotten a snowglobe, and therefore hadn't even the slightest inkling of the perils that lay just outside, content instead to spend Christmas having never stepped foot out of the room, much less outside. The small apartment they shared was exceptionally warm despite how they had fought over what temperature it should have been, (a wrestling match had determined the outcome -- she might have cheated a little,) fogging up the windows so all that could pass through was the hazy light of the overcast day. Still, there was a distinct cold-spot next to her on the bed, and the fingertips of one hand lightly brushed over the vacant spot even as she dozed, her face turned towards the spot where Andeon should have been. She knew he wasn't here -- he had gone out for some 'essentials,' and she had grudgingly let him go, although not without some childish clinging and groggy attempts at sweet talking to try to make him stay, just for the fun of teasing him. He had told her to go back to sleep, that he would be back soon, and she believed him.
Going back to sleep, however, had been impossible. She could not fully sleep without him, no matter how long hours she had worked or played. They both knew that. Even knowing he was close, their mysterious gemini-link letting her know he was, she could not relax completely until he was in bed beside her. Rolling over, the soon-to-be-ex-O'Connell reached out with fumbling fingers to grab the shirt he had worn yesterday from where it had been half-hanging off the edge of the bed, pulling it against her chest like a child with a blanket, using the distinct smell of Andeon mixed with hints of alcohol and her shampoo to tide her over as she waited patiently for his return.
She may or may not have been wearing clothing.

 _HP:__ 14,609....HIT FOR 2,591 DAMAGE!More people aimed for the ice queen's face. She responded by laughing at them -- and on top of that, with an enormous s**t-eating grin, held her arms wide open in the universal gesture of egging people on. "Keep on trying if you insist, children!" she cried, cackling into the sky. "You're all less intelligent than I gave you credit for, if you're going to keep trying to fight your demise. Your pathetic weapons and foolish magic are simply no match for my immaculate, gorgeous body!" Her fingers wiggled at the crowd in beckoning motions, just daring them to keep attacking her. Unbeknownst to her, a merry little lightbulb had gone on over the head of one Sailor Themis. And Sailor Themis, followed by a few others, had a different target. The senshi of Noise's icicle barrage flew straight and true, right into the base of Kaguya's throne. The casing of ice was thick, but the princess's own magic had ensured that the icicles were immaculately sharp -- so it made short work of the barrier, piercing directly through it and creating a spidering of cracks in its wake. One by one, each with a clear and dissonant ringing, the cracks began to splinter at the snowglobes within... ...and, far above, similar cracks began to split across the form of their enemy: across her face and arms, a series of thin gashes began to appear. For the first time, Kaguya recoiled -- and wailed in pain -- but she regained her composure soon enough, albeit with a furious snarl written across her slightly broken features. "I think I've let you all live long enough!" The ground rumbled once again, more icicles jutting upward. The lighter Gunn had procured hadn't escaped Kaguya's noticed, and it was extinguished by and encased in a thick icicle of its own to ensure she wouldn't try that trick again. ROUND 5 START!!!

Was that... ?
Holy s**t.
Closeby, he'd seen a green-clad girl also go for the base of snowglobes - there had been probably others, there was no way in hell he could have been the only one to think of this.
And, apparently, it was working. At least, something was working, and he couldn't think of anything else. He dodged the icicles the best he could, though one came worryingly close, and then he was in motion.
He darted to Europa and Regulus, tapping Bellatrix's shoulder on the way. "HIT THE BASE !" He called out, loud enough for his voice to carry and, with another well-placed kick on the icicles she had so kindly provided earlier, he did just that again.

Chibimoon had been contemplating Juno's request but was incredibly wary of it at the same time. Things seemed to be repeating themselves perfectly from the last time she had fought this foe with only the Snow Dancers having changed in ability and appearance. The healing was new and something that had aided the cold blowing through the exposed Moon senshi's body. It was because of Juno that she was watching the icy throne and was able to see Themis' attack hit and her shriek of recoil. Was that the trick?
Were they supposed to attack the base of her throne?
Pointing a finger at the spot where the icicle had pierced, Chibimoon twisted her fingers and conjured up with some effort her Kaleidoscope Wand. This was going to take most of her energy if it fired, but it might be worth it. Maybe.
"Try and figure out what that is. It seemed to hurt her, I'm going to try and hit it again." Under her breath, the muttering was barely intelligible and quite a lot of 'threading a needle with a freight train' metaphors and other unpleasant ideas. And that was if it fired.
"Here goes nothing. Moon Gorgeous Meditation!" Her tiara glowed, her bow flared out dramatically like the wings of a butterfly...and light shot from the tip of her wand to fly at the spot as Chibimoon collapsed to her knees in the snow.

He skidded to a hault behind the throne as the ice sickles thudded into the prison holding the snow globes. He saw the cracks form and spread across the icy woman's form. She was attached to the ice somehow. Whatever was encasing the snow globes was also covering her form. He'd never seen anything like it before but it seemed like the right idea.
"The snow globes!" He shouted, not really caring if anyone listened or not. "Free them and she looses power"
It was a long shot and who knew if they would even survive but it had been the only thing he'd seen done that had any effect. Hefting the rock he'd picked up he threw it as hard as he could at one section of spidery cracks.
Just a bit more too and his lantern would work again. For now it hung cold and dark against his hip but it would catch fire again and maybe, just maybe, he could be useful for once in battle and not just hanging on for the ride.

Iris' aim had been much better this time and the boomerang came right back to her hand this time. However, she noticed that others were starting to aim for other areas. When one boy amidst the group shouted out to go for the base, the senshi of Rainbows shrugged her shoulders, then tucked her boomerang under her armpit.
"...when in Rome..."
She tightened up a fist, causing light to gather up to her hand. It took a moment, and the ground seemed to shake, icicles forming from the ground. The senshi had to jump slightly, and nearly fell to the ground. However, as she scrambled back to her feet, she still managed to keep her hand balled up.
With a shout, she called out "Iris Rainbow Slicer!" and flung what seemed like a colorful lasso towards the base of the throne, much like how the voice in the crowd had directed.

"See, even she thinks your magic is pretty dumb, and she's insane," Paris responded to the red haired, red clad Senshi of Peppers. What the hell was a Senshi anyway?? One of the terrorist factions, obviously, but what did it even mean???
His thoughts and comments were interrupted by a horrible, high-pitched wailing that had Paris lifting his hands to momentarily cover his ears. He turned to find the source and saw that the crazy ice princess's facade of perfection was somehow finally beginning to crack. He should have been paying attention to find out which genius had discovered the answer to their problem, but he'd been too busy being sassy.
He really needed to get his priorities in order.
Either way, it didn't take him long to realize that some of the terrorists had begun attacking the base of the throne instead of the princess herself. It made a bit of sense, he thought; she'd come through the snowglobes, so why shouldn't she be injured if they were damaged or destroyed?
He still wanted to find his three, but only so he could smash them to bits under his boots. Damned things...
Annoyed and hoping this would be over soon -- preferably with him still alive -- Paris picked up another icicle and threw it. He didn't need magic. He could make do with what he had around him. Granted, his aim wasn't all that great.
So much for running away...

Chromite didn't know what was happening. She could barely make out Captain Zinkenite getting closer and closer to the base of the throne, and she only barely remembered him from the last meeting. She had certainly missed the senshi that had caused the majority of the cracks... Those things hadn't seemed important at the time.
Chromite did definitely notice the new amount of damage, however. More importantly she saw the effect and where it came from. Maybe she wasn't doing much, but she was going to do her part and keep the stupid b***h occupied. Just this once Negaverse and Senshi alike were witnessing a Christmas miracle. They were working together.
It made her stomach clench and bile rise in her throat. They needed these aliens to help defend their planet? Sneering, she rolled her eyes and shrugged. Hadn't she just been trying to get them all to 'get along and team together'? Whatever. So with clenched fists and gritted teeth she dropped back down to the fray, pulled out the icicles that had wounded her, and keeping grip on at least one of them launched them at the Snow Queen's head.
"Hey! Princess Snow Ugly!" She cupped her hands as she ran head-first at the cracking alien. "I think the cracks are an improvement! At least you might not crack any mirrors anymore!"
Anything to keep her occupied and attentions off of the base of her own throne.
((Rolling as much to get Kaguya's attention and keep it off of Themis and Zink as to cause actual damage.))

"That's my best guess," Kurma answered, to Perseus and Zephyr, giving a small nod. "You can't have life in places like that, so... there are things that take whatever name they can get, feed off of it. Parasites, I guess you could say."
He quieted once again, just in time for Virgo to overhear and approach, her words causing Kurma to tilt is head in her direction and lift a bemused eyebrow. "Is that so," he said, curiously leaning towards the Zodiac. To be fair, he had no clue about half of what she was saying, but the 'I would have remembered her if she passed through here' part got through to him clearly enough. "Are you sure there aren't any gaps in that memory of yours?" Kurma gave a smirk -- the kind of someone sharing secrets. "Because I know I got a few of those myself, kiddo."

Gomeisa groaned as the Earth shook again, was this what it meant to become one of the senshi? To have to fight battles? What about the other powered up people, the Negaverse? There was a side fight going on somewhere, she could hear harsh voices.
She froze in place, if this was what it meant to be a senshi, Desma wasn't sure she was made of the right stuff, but she couldn't just run from the fight, couldn't run from her first encounter with the bad.
Groaning Sailor Gomeisa lifted a frozen trash can, she strained against the weight of it and launched it toward the ice queen's feet, around the snow globes and throne.

Zephyr examined Perseus carefully, remembering her from the Halloween Ball. He hadn't had a chance to meet her since that day.. but the reluctant amusement that tugged at his emotions despite their grave circumstances. "We meet again." He drawled, finding her even more interesting. A senshi who thought, rather then attacked? And another meeting? It was enough to pique the older male's interest.
But their conversation was to be cut there, listening to the commotion. What Kurma was saying was processing while Zephyr's mind filed the other events simultaneously. "..The snow globes. Right." As a parasite, she would feed off the prominent items that had captured so many people's emotions, hearts, and interest. It made enough sense. But even as he spoke, he seemed to be not entirely there.
But as his icy blue eyes noticed something other then the commotion. And it wasn't exactly what Zephyr wanted to see right now, two girls who were dangerously close to the Ice Queen. The familiar look of his black coat, and the pink hair that had revealed herself to be a princess of the previous moon kingdom.
"I'll be back." He said, apparently in a rush as he dove into the crowd. He jumped off his feet, his boots fighting against the friction of the gritty ice beneath their shoes. He yanked Ainsley from her precarious position, just as an icicle easily larger then her emerged from the spot that she had resided. "You're quite the troublesome child, aren't you?" His tone was a bit dry, and not entirely appreciating the extra trouble. He held the young girl beneath his arm, cradling her at the side a bit unceremoniously but at least she was away from the main danger source.
"Break Wind!" His magical attack shot off mid-air at the base, but more as a self-defense gesture then a purely offensive gesture.
And then he landed in front of Chibimoon. "Yo." he held up a hand, showing her that he was friendly. "Impressive attack, princess." He smiled at Chibimoon, the term of endearment was not exactly just a term as she was a real princess. "You look pretty tired as well."

The senshi were superhuman, but they tended to sound like normal people. When her attack was blocked by Kaguya, though, the shriek Gunn made was nothing short of bestial. Oh, sure, she had control over ice but she couldn't stop an icicle barrage, but fire--fire, which this stupid b***h should be weak to by every internet Pokemon game she'd ever played--ohhhh no that was ineffective!
Maybe she just hadn't seen Themis's strike coming.
But there was a larger barrage coming, and Gunn was sure she could find another source of flame for her last attack. This was wearing on her, wearing bad--after this next strike, the last bit of senshi magic--she'd have to take herself out, certainly--
In the meantime, she bent down to pick up an icicle and hurl it at the stupid ice b***h.

Dodging icicles, Pomona gathered up her collection of hard-packed dirty snowballs and darted in closer to the throne. If attacking the throne was what worked, then that’s what she’d do.
Mica saw and heard a loud-mouthed Negaverser in a short skirt trying to draw the invader’s attention. She couldn’t tell why, but since it was the same Lieutenant that had been shouting about plans and teams before, she figured that some sort of coordinated attack was finally taking place. Making her way over, Mica grabbed icicles along her way and threw them at the throne.

The battle cry reached a heightened peak as Castor found his target. Purple hair lashing in the wind, there was a pleasing feeling thought of how he'd just love to rip it right from her skull. Hurt her. It was such thoughts of darkness Castor liked to keep to himself, but as he found himself in front of the captain, those thoughts didn't seem so dark. Mild friendship had broken under the weight of reality, and the reality was war. No longer could the image of a laughing bright young woman fill his thoughts. Castor could only let himself see the beast she had become.
He reached for whatever part of her he could find, her face, her arm, her hair. Anything and everything. He wanted to hurt her. No. Castor wanted to do more then that. He wanted to kill her. He had to kill her. She had been his friend once. Even if she was past salvation, even past redemption, Castor held a small idea, a notion really. He could save her, even if it was only to save her from the monster the girl who shared a tattoo on her a** with had become.
"TANZANITE!" Claws found an arm and glanced it. Sharp pain welled up along with ruby red blood. Freezing wind stopped the flow and allowed it to sting and Castor's hand found a grip.
He had her.
A twisted smile of Victory came over his face as the senshi used his power to begin to shove the captain towards the pillar Kaguya sat upon. Did he know it was where the frozen Princess was? ******** no. Did he see simply a place to use to ram his enemy into? Hell yes. "Game over." Blue eyes were just as dark as his voice as the senshi of hail threw the feared negaverse agent into the ice, wondering for a split second how he might better crush her arm once he'd finish crushing her face.
