PostPosted: Thu Mar 21, 2013 8:46 pm

Name: Gabranth; born Noah fon Ronsenburg

Age: 36

Height: 5' 11" (180 cm)

Birthplace/Home World: Republic of Landis (Final Fantasy XII)

Weapon(s): Chaos Blade and Highway Star

Abilities: Gabranth is an expert swordsman with a knowledge of applied magic. His attacks include portions of Aero and fire magics, excluding his Mist and Quickenings. Like Sephiroth, Gabranth can also emit arcs of energy with a slash from his swords. He can also generate explosions, spheres of energy, and Fira that homes in on a target. His Quickenings are variations of Basch's own, but with original Concurrences.

Personality: Throughout Final Fantasy XII Gabranth demonstrates a ruthless and cruel demeanor, imprisoning his brother and keeping him alive while informing him of every failure his former knights suffer after the Archadian occupation. Despite his cruel attitude, Gabranth remains a respectful follower to Emperor Gramis, to the point the Emperor trusts him enough to appoint him bodyguard to his son Larsa.

Even though he acts as a faithful soldier to the Empire, Gabranth's motivations are related to his profound hatred towards his believed dishonorable failure at protecting Landis, and in turn he directs his hatred towards Basch for abandoning him and his mother to fight for Dalmasca. By the end of the story, Gabranth is a broken man, regretting even more his defeat to his brother and failing to protect Larsa. After his showdown with Basch, Gabranth regains his motivations, and makes amends with his brother.

Love Interest: None

Biography: Noah and Basch lived and grew up in the Republic of Landis before it was invaded by the Empire. During the invasion, Basch fled their hometown to the Kingdom of Dalmasca to serve with the military, while Noah moved with his sickly mother to Archadia, her homeland. There, he adopted his mother's surname, Gabranth, and joined the Archadian Military. He quickly climbed the ranks, and with the backing of Emperor Gramis became Judge Magister. Gabranth was placed in charge of the 9th Bureau, primarily concerned with the gathering and dissemination of information for the Emperor.

Two years before the main events of Final Fantasy XII, Gabranth was present at Nalbina Fortress where he killed King Raminas of Dalmasca while impersonating his brother, Basch. In the manga adaptation of Final Fantasy XII, Vayne orders Gabranth to do this, believing Basch's treachery and Raminas's death will give him an excuse to suspend peace negotiations and push his father to take over Dalmasca in full. The two spread rumors of an assassination attempt on the king's life to trick Basch and a force of his soldiers to storm the Fortress and "rescue" Raminas.
In reality this was a ruse to get Basch at the scene: Gabranth poses as Basch and attacks the Dalmascan officials present, killing them before pursuing Raminas. The two run into Basch and Gabranth engages him, giving Basch a facial scar over his left eye before defeating him. Gabranth then kills Raminas, and to ensure that the trick is successful, one of Basch's soldiers, Reks, witnesses Gabranth (as Basch) confess to the murder. For the next two years, Basch would be locked up in the Nalbina Dungeon framed for regicide, Gabranth visiting regularly to interrogate him about the Resistance that rose to oppose the Empire.

With Raminas dead, the peace negotiations failed and Archadia's invasion of Dalmasca became total, placing the city of Rabanastre under Imperial control. Two years later, Gabranth and Vayne, then appointed consul of Rabanastre, arranged a banquet to celebrate Vayne's arrival, and Gabranth made sure the security forces of the palace were spotted. This too was a ploy, to draw the Resistance to attack, at which point the airship Ifrit and the Archadian forces outside the palace attacked to repel them.
Coincidentally, Reks's brother Vaan had infiltrated the palace to steal that night, and flees during the attack. As he runs Vaan sees Gabranth and Vayne speaking. When Vaan is caught and brought before Vayne, he attempts to strike him but is blocked by Gabranth and thrown back before he can reach his target. Though Gabranth suggests Vayne show mercy as Vaan is not with the rebels, Vayne orders him executed and the two depart. Vaan mentions his brother was at the forces stationed at Nalbina Fortress, but at this time Vaan and Gabranth do not realize the deeper connection between them.

The night after the palace attack, Gabranth visits the Nalbina Dungeon where Basch is being held captive, and berates Ba'Gamnan, a bounty hunter searching for Balthier, a Sky Pirate captured along with Vaan and Fran. The three follow Gabranth to the chamber where Basch is held, where Gabranth interrogates him on the capture of Amalia, a member of the resistance who is actually Ashe using an alias. When Gabranth leaves Basch is freed by Vaan, Balthier and Fran, and the four escape the dungeon together.

Still in Rabanastre, Gabranth tells Vayne that the imperial resistance in Bhujerba is suspiciously well-funded, and suspects Marquis Ondore to be behind them. Gabranth assists Vayne in searching the palace for the Dusk Shard for a period of time, but they are unaware it was stolen by Vaan before he fled the palace.

Some time after, Gabranth returns to Arcadia and reports Vayne's activities to Emperor Gramis, alerting him to Vayne's possible hand in the destruction of Nabudis through Judge Zecht, and his funding of Dr. Cid's experiments at Draklor Laboratory. Gramis worries he no longer knows Vayne's intentions and asks Gabranth to protect Larsa so that he does not become as brutal and merciless in his elder years as Vayne has. Judge Drace also confides in Gabranth that she fears for Larsa's safety due to the Imperial Senate desiring him an easily-manipulated heir over Vayne, and the two agree to defend him.

After Gramis's death, Drace accuses Vayne of killing him, and she is subdued by Judge Bergan. Aware of Gabranth informing Gramis of his actions, Vayne appoints him as Drace's executioner as a test of loyalty. Reluctantly, he kills the Judge, but with her dying breath, she asks Gabranth to guard Larsa in her place, to which Gabranth promises that he would.
Later, Larsa urges Vayne to make peace with Ashe to avoid a war with the resistance, as the neighboring Rozarrian Empire would use this as a pretense to invade Archadia, beginning a second, much more destructive war with Dalmasca as the battleground. Believing Ashe wants a war, Vayne sends Gabranth to track her and ascertain her desires, and kill her if a war is indeed her intent. Atop the Pharos at Ridorana, Ashe approaches the Sun-Cryst, which she could use to cut shards of nethicite to use to fight the Empire. Gabranth emerges and urges her to do so, revealing he was the one who killed Raminas.

Though enraged Ashe ultimately refuses the Cryst's power, realizing her vengeance will only lead Dalmasca to ruin. The dumbfounded Gabranth attacks them, but is defeated. Dr. Cid arrives, telling Gabranth that he is pitiful for failing Larsa and that he no longer serves any purpose, and when Gabranth attempts to strike the doctor Venat throws him back. The disgraced Judge Magister retreats unseen afterwards.

Cid's actions aboard the Sun-Cryst spill a powerful Mist over Ivalice, allowing Vayne to activate the Empire's most powerful weapon that until then lacked the needed magical energy - the Sky Fortress Bahamut, a massive airship. Aboard the Bahamut Gabranth again confronts the group, apparently still wounded and unable to understand how Basch has held onto his pride and honor despite repeated failures. Considering his disgrace the punishment he is due to aiding the Empire after they destroyed Landis, Gabranth attacks them again and is struck down, Basch urging him to reclaim his name and honor. The party leaves Gabranth to confront Vayne, who uses Cid's manufacted Nethicite to become Vayne Novus.

Wounded and stumbling, Gabranth reaches the scene of the battle and, after being ordered by Vayne to defend Larsa due to his "having much need in the Hell to follow." raises his sword towards Vayne before agreeing that he will defend Larsa, assisting the party in stopping him, even as he is aware that doing so will most likely result in his execution. As the battle ends Gabranth strikes Vayne with his empowered sword, but Vayne knocks him back with a powerful punch. As Gabranth lays in Basch's arms, Vayne summons his Sephira to finish him off but is stopped by Larsa, who uses his own nethicite to absorb his magic. Vaan then picks up Gabranth's fallen sword and strikes Vayne a second time, wounding him greatly and forcing him to retreat to the exterior of the Bahamut. In the subsequent battle Vayne and Venat merge into The Undying, and are destroyed together.

With Vayne dead the party retreats to the Strahl to escape the falling Bahamut, and bring Gabranth aboard. With Larsa and Basch by his side, Gabranth asks Basch to protect Larsa in his stead, as the Arcadian Empire would fall into strife without House Solidor to lead them, and Basch agrees. Gabranth dies shortly afterwards, and Basch impersonates Gabranth to announce a ceasefire to the Arcadian fleet, ordering them to withdraw. The masquerade persists as Basch takes up Gabranth's armor and accompanies Larsa back to Archadia, serving as his bodyguard.

Name: Shadow
Age: Unknown
Height: 5' 10" (178 cm)
Birthplace/Home World: Unknown
Weapon(s): Dagger
Abilities: Throw / Interceptor
Personality: Shadow typically only shows tenderness to his dog, Interceptor and is frequently described by other characters as a ruthless assassin. When he joins the party, he rarely talks and shows little interest in their exploits, often staying only until he can collect his fee, then leaving at the most inopportune moments. It is revealed, though, that Shadow has had a troubled past. Shadow later warns Terra about "people who have killed their emotions", and encourages her not to do the same. In Thamasa, Shadow rescues the party from a burning house, though he claims it was only to retrieve Interceptor. Despite his cold and silent exterior, Shadow does develop a kinship with the party.
Love Interest: None
Biography: Shadow was at one point a thief named Clyde (クライド, Kuraido?), who worked with his partner, Baram. Together they became known as Shadow, and referred to themselves as "The Great Train Robbers of the Century". At one point, they found a treasure worth a million gil, but the authorities were on their tail. Baram was wounded and begged Clyde to kill him and relieve him of his pain and to avoid capture by authorities. Clyde did not want to see his friend die, but he could not help Baram, and as a result, Clyde fled as far away as he could.

He found himself in the small town of Thamasa, where he married a woman and fathered a baby girl. He could not hide from his tragic past, so some years later he left his wife and daughter and changed his identity. He would wear the attire of a dark assassin, and would never show his face to anyone. His dog, Interceptor, followed him out of Thamasa. From then on he would only be known as "Shadow", borrowing from the group name he and his partner collectively used as thieves.

Roleplaying stuff! Muwahaha

Name: Yuna
Age: 19
Height: 5'3''
Birthplace/Home World: Spira (Bevelle; Besaid)
Weapon(s): Rods, Tiny Bee Pistols
Abilities: Yuna has the knowledge and experience to perform numerous abilities; however, some of them are dependent on dresspheres, an item that she currently only has one of: Gunner. Other than the Gunner abilities, she has her previous knowledge of curative magic, as well as such abilities as NulBlaze and others that nullify elemental attacks, as well as Shell and Protect. She has not yet attempted to Summon in this new merging world, afraid that she might inadvertently upset the balance. Not all abilities are available to her, as she has not kept in constant practice and must 're-learn' a few things.
Personality: Complex. She's sweet and polite while also determined and focused on whatever task or mission she feels is right. She can even be intimidating...sometimes.
Love Interest: Tidus
Biography: Yuna is the daughter of High Summoner Braska. Two years ago she embarked on a pilgrimage to defeat Sin, which was ultimately successful with the help of her friends and Guardians. She recently 'found' Tidus, and had been living happily on Besaid until her world merged with another.
Role Playing Sample: Yuna had her Gunner dressphere equipped. Her other spheres were gone now, scattered across the merging worlds; she had been wearing this one when the others were lost, and now she was making it her goal to find everything that was missing. Once again, she was searching for spheres and Tidus... and Rikku, and Paine, and everyone and everything–anything familiar.
The city before her was unfamiliar. She stood on a cliff that allowed a fine view of it. "Midgar," she said aloud. She had been told that she might find more answers there, answers for why the worlds were merging, what was going on, and maybe where her friends were. Perhaps they were there in the city. There would be only one way to find out.

Love Interest: None (Flirts with /everyone/ that doesn't seriously want to kill him)

Biography: Born in the slums of Midgar to a sick mother and an absent father, Reno turned to the street at an early age to help pay for medicine. He built a reputation for being resourceful, and cool under pressure. Years of gang violence leading up to the day it all came crashing down. The mission was a bust, and he ended up in prison, a familiar place really. He'd been in previously for four accounts of grand theft auto and other petty crimes. But this time was different. The gang had gone too far, attacking a political party. He and the rest of the gang that were captured were on death row.
Three days before the his trial an old man came to him. Introducing himself as Veld, he offered Reno a choice. Join the Shinra's Investigation Sector of the General Affairs Department, known on the streets as the Turks. Charges would be dropped in exchange for his loyalty and skills.

Naturally Reno accepted.

Role Playing Sample:

Years later, after Meteor Fall, the red headed Turk walked into the nursing home in Kalm. A nurse with her hair in a blonde bun addressed him with a pink lip glossed smile. "Hello Mr. Altieri, off the clock? This is a treat, your mother would be happy to see you." She had way too much lip gloss on, it was so shiny it was like it could blind someone if the sun hit it just right. "Mr. Altieri?"
Reno looked at her directly. "Hm? Yeah, I'm sure she will be. Its mothers day, yo! Oh, hey do me a favor sweetcakes, blind someone with that dazzlin smile, eh?" With a wink he turned and walked down the hall, grin on his face cause he'd seen her blush, hands in the pockets of his tight fitting worn cotton pants. They had patches on them, they were so old. Elena asked him once why he didn't buy a new pair, he remembered telling her he'd have to break them in and he was too lazy for that.
With a small grin on his face he opened the door, the grin fading as soon as he saw his mother sitting as she always did, at the chair by the window staring out into the sky. "Hey... Its mothers day, yo. Gotcha a lil som'n-som'n." He says to her as he takes the small box out and holds it out to her, there is silence as she stares out the window. He takes the chance to study her face. It was old, wrinkled, like he'd expected it to be. The pallor of her skin was a bit yellowed, and he frowned at that. She didn't smell very good today either. Old people smell was one thing. He reached out to touch her shoulder. "They been taking care o'ya mum?" He asked in a stern tone, she just gave a shallow nod. Reno sneered. "Whats the matter... Spit it."

That was when his mother burst into tears, burying her hands into her face she explained about a staff member that had been abusing her. The story infuriated Reno, but he didn't let her see that on his face, she would try to stop him from what he was about to do. At the end of her story he gave a smile and put the box onto the windowsill. "Well looks like I'm gonna have some Jo's boss to talk to eh?" She begged him not to do anything he'd regret and he promised. He kept his promises to his mother, that was for damn sure.
He walked down to the nursing home manager's office later on that morning, to speak to Dr. Withers about the man. He found a man in the office with Dr. Withers, relaying on how the 'Altieri b***h bit him' while he was showering her. Dr. Withers was horrified when Reno jumped the man and beat him, he couldn't break up the fight, and ended up having to call security. The security officers had trouble subduing Reno, spitting profanity at the b*****d, all while he was dragged out of the complex.
Dr. Withers stepped up to Reno as the Turk was getting a cigarette out. "What in gods name is with you?! Have you gone mad?" Reno turned to the doctor, telling him the story his mother told him. "Thats the final straw then, I've been waiting for someone to admit his deeds, now I can finally get rid of him. But I will not tollerate violence in my home again, you here me?"
Reno snapped the zippo shut, "Yeah doc, I hear ya." With that, Withers told him to get the hell off the property, and Reno left with a grin from ear to ear.

He regretted not a god damn thing.

Love Interest: Tifa(always), but no new love interests as of yet.

--

Biography:
Born in the beautiful resort town of Costa Del Sol, Rude was just as much a shy and introverted child as he was restless and hyperactive. Nothing could keep him amused for very long, and early in his childhood he was set on getting out of this laid back lazy town in hopes of some fast paced city life in Midgar. With no parents, he was raised by his grandparents. The only interest he had as a child was not the lazy coastal life most sought, but mountains of educational literature and learning at his Grandfathers mixed martial arts dojo, to which he would someday inherit. Viewing this as trapping him into a boring and restless life of teaching beach bums and degenerates, Rude finally made the move to hop a transport ship to Juno in efforts to escape his fate. Once in Junon, the sixteen year old child quickly realized that due to his large stature and grizzly stare he could only find jobs in security. This was his life for five years, and despite the constant calls from his grandparents, he refused to return to Costa Del Sol. He only returned once, for his grandmother's funeral.

Shortly after returning to Junon, the club he was working in was a target by an eco-terrorist group known as AVALANCHE. Placed on lockdown, they held the patrons and staff hostage, threatening to set off a bomb if Shinra affiliates got too close. Among the hostages was a woman who’d been trying to butter him up all night. Going by the name Scarlet, she tried to convince Rude during the lockdown to hide her. But he decided instead to find the bomb and disarm it. As he finished disarming it, a group of black suit people burst into the room. Rude froze at gunpoint and was secured by the Turks. They harassed him with many questions, most about the bomb and AVALANCHE, which he knew only their name and what they said they would do. Finally, it was a man named Veld who determined he wasn't part of AVALANCHE and had disarmed the bomb. He was asked one final question: “How do you like your job?”

From then on he was a Turk, and finally made it to Midgar. He guessed they were impressed. So he transcended from life a long career in security....... to another life long career in security. Go Team!

Role Playing Sample:

Rude turned over the letter in his hand, and for the hundredth time, read it’s contents. It was blatantly written by Old Man Vega, for his grandfather a man of little word. The letter infact, only had four words:

“Come to the funeral.”

He turned the unsigned letter over again, folding it back into his pocket as the ship docked in Costa Del Sol. His heart ached with pain as he descended the steps, and thoughts of regret raced through his mind upon his first step on the wooden dock. What if he had stayed to take care of his grandmother? Would she still be here? No that’s silly thinking. Still, he couldn’t stop these thoughts as he walked through his home for the first time in five years. Though he held a bitterness for the lazy place as a child, he couldn’t help but welcome the relaxing atmosphere as he made his way to his grandfathers dojo. His feet carried him in the right direction, but when he arrived he realized that the dojo had been replaced by a tacky surfer shop. He gawked at it disgustingly and walked around the side of the building to the shanty apartment in the back. The home he grew up in no longer bloomed with colorful plant life it once had, almost as if it was a parody of the failing health and eventual death of his grandmother.

He rapped on the door with his knuckles impatiently to find no answer. Upon his third try a voice boomed from behind him. “You shaved your head. HRMPH!” Instinctively he rubbed his bald scalp as he turned around, pulling sweat off. He nodded. There was such an awkward silence afterward he rubbed his sweaty palms on his thighs.

After the stare down, his grandfather initiated combat on his costan grandchild. They fought in the courtyard of the old apartment for an entire hour before he was soundly defeated by Old Man Vega. “HRMPH! You’ve kept up with your training! At least you’ve done something right!” That evening after Dinner, while his grandfather drank himself into a stupor and sulked, Rude knelt at the ceremony table, where his grandmother's ashes were. He lit a stick of incense, paid his respects to his Wutain grandmother the way she would have wished it, then left. Leaving a sizable check at the altar. He knew his grandfather would refuse it if he tried to give it to him directly... It was the best he could do for now.

Name: Vivi Ornitier

Age: Long presumed to be nine or ten by the end of the battles with Kuja, actual age by that time appears to have been three months upon meeting the party, and likely about a year old at the end of the entire game. His age is now actually at about three and a half years old.

Height: 3 foot 8 inches

Birthplace/Home World: Gaia (Final Fantasy IX), The Balck Mage factory underneath Dali. Home is Quan's Dwelling

Weapon(s): Mage Staff

Abilities: Black Magic, Immunity to most status effects, various other learned abilities

Personality: Vivi was for quite some time a quite and shy little guy, Reserved and constantly thinking less of himself. After meeting and traveling with Zidane and the party, Vivi started becoming more outgoing and active. Over the years since the end of the adventures, Vivi settled down in the Black Mage Village, becoming more centered.

Love Interest: None Presently

Biography: Vivi is a Black Mage, artificially produced in Queen Brahne's Black Mage Factory under Dali. Vivi is the prototype of the Black mages, and escaped before transfer to Alexandria because he fell from the Cargo ship. Vivi was later rescued by Quan, why was raising him in the hopes he would become big enough to be worth eating. However, since Vivi never grew, Quan ended up raising him until the Qu's untimely death. After that, Vivi left the cave, eventually hopping on to an airship bound for Alexandria. He acquired a ticket for a show in the royal palace of Alexandria, and tried to attend. However, the ticket was fake, and he ended up sneaking in with the help of a young Burmecian named Puck. During the play, the pair were caught, and Puck left Vivi after the young mage tripped. Vivi ended up running onto the stage of the play where Zidane and Garnet were, and while using a Fire spell to try to scare off the guards, accidentally lit Garnet's robe on fire, causing her to fling it away and reveal herself. This was how Vivi ended up joining the group led by Zidane in all of their adventures.

After Kuja was defeated, Vivi had to leave the group, unable to join Zidane and the others on their plan to show Garnet, the now-queen, that they were still alive. He was almost a year old by the time that came along, and unlike so many of the other black mages, Vivi could practically feel death creeping up on him. So he said his farewells, leaving his friends to think that they would probably never see him again. Vivi traveled back to the Northern Continent, returning to the Black Mage Village to try to find a way to prolong the few remaining Black Mages lives. Although he spent huge amounts of time at this work, Vivi was unable to discover the cure until one critical event. One day, while he was walking through the main entrance of the town with a small herb Vivi had asked for to help him sleep, since he didn't like the effects of sleepweed, Vivi's best friend among'st the black mages, Black Mage No. 228, suddenly stopped. This event, more then any of the previous deaths in the village, drove Vivi to lock himself into a room, and, although nobody realized it, one of the longest Trances ever induced. After long labor, with the break of dawn, Vivi finally found the solution. Vivi discovered how to stop the remaining Black Mages from dying at the end of a one year span. But it was too late. Even with the intervention of several powerful White Mages, they could not bring No. 228 back from his death. His time had come, and nothing any of them could do could reverse death by age, even one that had been by design. Vivi, along with all of the surviving black mages, greived for the loss of No. 228, so close to the solution of their one great problem. Now, with their lifespans at a more human expanse, the black mages learned so much more about life, and death. They finally and truly were able to greive for their many lost freinds.

After his period of communal mourning, Vivi packed his things and left the village for a time. Vivi went on too Alexandria, meeting with all of his friends, showing them that he was still alive. Each of them showed sorrow for the loss of No. 228, as those who had known him had liked him, and even those who didn't had known how close a friend he had become to Vivi even in the short time they had been in the village initially. And so it became a regular thing for Vivi to travel to Alexandria along with the rest of the group to meet again. Vivi ended up becoming the de facto leader of the Black Mages, much like No. 228 had been before him. This went on for almost two years of happy peace, before something happened. Vivi went to Alexandria to meet once more with his oldest friends, only to find the city in turmoil. Garnet, Zidane, and everyone had vanished. Vivi tried to search for them, all over the continent and even on other continents, but they had suddenly vanished without a trace. Vivi returned to the village, only to find one of the youngest black mages, one who seemed like he may have been being groomed for the powers of another Black Waltz before the war destroyed Brahne and Zorn and Thorn, waiting for him. The young mage explained that he had an idea where the group may have gone. Sudden magic pulses had swept over the entire planet, and this mages theory was that the entire group had vanished to another world. One farther away and less similar then Terra had been. It took months of work from many concerned mages of all stripes gathering in the village, but they finally devised a spell to open a doorway between worlds, and a way to find the missing people. They only had enough power, even among'st the best and brightest mages in the world, to send a single person through. As literally the last member of the group left in the world, that person was chosen to be Vivi.

Role Playing Sample: Vivi awoke in his small hut, eyes quickly adjusting to the pitch darkness inside. It immediately hit that today was the day. After months of preparing, everyone was finally ready to cast that spell, the one to open the door between worlds. It had been a massive effort, and the size of the village had effectively tripled thanks to all the mages who needed places to stay as they helped, but it was finally ready. The only light inside the hut was a tiny strip of sun against the far wall coming from a crack in the curtains, and the dim glow of Vivi's yellow eyes as he grabbed his hat. This was still the same hat he had had for these past years, his trusty companion that had stayed strong with him through everything that had happened through his life. Sometimes Vivi would suddenly stop before putting it on, and simply stare at it, remembering those adventures from years ago. Even more so, he never stopped being glad that he could say that. Years ago. For so long, none of his people had thought they would ever be able to say that and include themselves in it. But he couldn't stop now, not today. Even now, there were still final preparations to be done. So Vivi put on his trusty hat, and grabbed his staff from where it had leaned against one part of the curtain. Just like his hat, this was the staff that Vivi had with him through all of his adventures. Unlike the hat, it hadn't suffered everything with him using it, but when given the choice between the Mace of Zeus and his old staff, Vivi hadn't hesitated. This staff had been his as long as he could remember, and no other staff, no matter how powerful, could ever replace his first staff.

With thoughts of long ago along with now in his mind, Vivi opened the door of his hut, stepping out into the shining sun. The village had grown immensely over the past several months, as new buildings were completed to accommodate all the mages helping with this projects. What had once been the entrance to the small village was now the center of a bustling small town, and the chosen site for the massive spell they were to work today. Vivi went among those throughout the village, making small last-minute checks of things throughout the village, and dealing with a few relatively small problems, as the time of the spell rolled closer. At one point, a semi-familiar Red Mage approached Vivi as he was heading toward the town square. This mage was the same that had been in the Treno market the multiple times that Vivi and the group had been there, the adventuring mage. They talked for a short time, the red mage discussing primarily how history would remember this event, one of the greatest magical undertakings ever, and the first ever time that Gaia's mages would open a door to another world. Vivi was nowhere near as enamored as the red mage however. After they talked for a little while, Vivi bid the Red Mage adieu, and went towards the town center. The time for the spell was at hand. It was time for Vivi to find out what had happened to all of his friends. Vivi clenched his staff more tightly at the thought that they might have been hurt. Too many times his friends had been hurt, Vivi didn't want it to happen ever again, not while he was around.
