Oasis gave a light nod in response to Hatsuma. It was time to go, however Hatsuma was right they needed to finish their mission it wouldn't be right to abandon it, as a matter of fact it might be a bad idea to abandon their mission, seeing as their home may not appreciate it. "Yea... So, you lead the way then yea." she states with a slight grin, her usual bubbly personality disheveled by this entire event. So Oasis simply followed behind Hatsuma as they headed out of the village. She didn't look at anyone in particular as they left, with the exception of one individual. The one who showed such a killer intent in the VIP room. He was, to put it fairly simply, menacing. He obviously had strength and power beyond any she had met before so she couldn't help but to look up at, and to, him as they passed the gates to leave this country and continue on their journey.

After explaining his case Notwen watched Takera, who stood in silent reflection for a few seconds before replying. He said he didn't see any harm in trying, and had some experience healing others, but he wasn't a medic so if there was any pain it wouldn't be intentional. After saying his piece he conjured a ball of water from his palm, which he imbued with a green light coming from his hand. As he motioned for the dark-skinned blonde's shoulder, Notwen stopped him momentarily.
"Hold on. Let me take my shoulder plate off first." His hand unbuckled the leather belt that kept the plate firmly secured over his injured joint. Notwen took it off, revealing the bandaged area, and put it on the floor. He unwrapped the bandages, revealing the wound and gave Takera the thumbs-up. The feeling of the bubble disappearing into his shoulder was cool, yet uncomfortable. The dark-skinned blonde now had his attention on the area where the orb of water was doing its work. The moment the white-haired Uchiha began to move his hand was when the discomfort came. "s**t! It feels like hundreds of ants were crawling under my skin!" said Notwen, taking in a sharp breath and clenching his right hand into a fist. He squeezed his eyes shut so he would have an easier time fighting the urge to scratch his shoulder. The dark-skinned blonde could feel his former muscles enlarging to the best of their current ability, and was feeling a lot healthier too. Finally the time came for Takera to pull out the orb. Those were the longest four seconds of intense pain he had to deal with since first getting the injury. When it was finally out, Notwen became nauseous by just looking at the mess that had just come out of his shoulder. "Thanks Takera. I feel a lot better, though my shoulder feels tender now." It disturbed the dark-skinned blonde to learn that his injury had been going bad for a long time so he decided to put that fact in the past. He was healed now. Notwen listened to Takera's instructions, and he was going to abide by them regardless. The Chuunin Exams had been a rewarding, yet draining experience. When the white-haired Uchiha placed his hands behind his back, Notwen walked up to him and placed his hand on the former's left shoulder. "You've earned my trust. I don't know much about your past, but i'm sure that i can at least consider you a friend after what you've done." It was at this time that a shinobi from the Hidden Leaf Village showed up and greeted Takera in a manner that suggested they were good friends. He then inquired about Notwen. "The name's Notwen Uchiha, and i also happen to be a Chuunin. You are?" he asked.

Takera watched as Notwen's hand extended to his shoulder, but didn't turn his head at all. Hearing Notwen's words he cracked the last knuckle on his hand. "Well that's certainly relieving to hear. Though, even if we were enemies, I couldn't bring myself to let something like that go unattended." Takera remarked as he flexed his fingers in and out and then left his hand to his side. "My brother was a medic ninja and when I was younger I used to over exert myself trying to keep pace with him. He naturally took to the skills while I had to give more effort just to compete. Having experienced injuries and his help with them countless times it wasn't hard to believe I could pick up some things here and there on medical practice. He scolded me often for being reckless, but I never listened and now he's gone. My hard work was paying off and I was finally starting to get a bit stronger than him before our trip to Wind Country." Takera mentioned, shifting his weight some to ease himself while telling a part of his experiences. Takera paused and leaned over to pick up the metal shoulder covering. "I'd suggest keeping this off until tomorrow or you'll risk burdening that shoulder." Takera remarked again attempted to hand the crippled shinobi his arm plate. At that moment Drake had entered from the path behind them and Notwen began speaking with him in response.

Takera turned his eyes at that moment to confirm Drake's appearance matching his voice and kept his eyes on him while Notwen spoke. Nothing seemed off or abnormal so Takera left the thought to die in the back of his mind. He'd still been a tad cautious since while he was planning to change things, he was still sitting smack dab in the midst of a country still riddled with people from every country and he was certain if someone from Mist found out who he was, they would certainly pick their timing well to come after him. Takera's expression eased up and he took a step forward. "Hah. I managed to score a nice prize alongside of it too." Takera noted as he shifted his weight again and lowered his bag to the ground next to him keeping a hand on the strap. "So, what's up with you? I heard your match was amazing, but you had ended up losing. I thought you'd have had the win against that other guy. He was substantially weaker than you from the looks of it. Did you have enough time to recover after I healed you of the poison?" Takera stated and asked in curiosity.

A cool wind blew through the slowly dying town of Gryu'Jiong. In just a day or two, the population spike would die out, and leave the place an empty shell of the exciting, bustling place it had been the past few weeks. Another gust of wind blew through the middle stretch of the town, and down towards the welcome gate. Leaves fell from the trees and danced through the air slowly as if taking part in the last dance of a ball.

A single leaf landed on Kyu's bare shoulder. He had stopped for a moment to take one last look at this place before he left. Chances are, he'd never come back. It was far too out of the way to visit during travel, and he wouldn't be dropping in for a vacation. He had had some good times here, but now the Chuunin Exams were over, and he had stepped into a whole new world. As a chuunin, he'd have more work to do, more excitement in his life. He was on the path to becoming a Hunter Nin, just like he always wanted.

There was still an obstacle in his way at this point. Now that the games were over, he had to have a word with Saikoro- no, Sai. Kyu turned about face and walked down the hill towards the gate. He spotted Sai waiting for him. Kyu knew that Sai knew. He'd dropped enough hints in the VIP room. Since he found out about Saikoro's alter ego, Kyu had been puzzled how to react to the information. Should he want Sai dead, or was there more to consider.

The introduction of Notwen and the reintroduction of Takera added to the confusion. The former was a ninja who'd left his village flat-out, and proved himself a traitor even during the events. The latter was a boy who was supposed to be dead, but instead had left Mist and joined Lightning.

Once, Kyuzaku could only see ninja in black or white. Regardless of their reasoning or the means, a traitor was a traitor, and a friend was a friend. What he found during the exams was that there was a huge amount of gray in between. What color is a traitor who destroys his country, then joins back in under a new face and name? Does it matter if their treason reignited the passion of a dying Village? What shade is the traitor who leads everyone he knows to believe he's dead, and allies himself with another country? Does it change when he wraps himself in a web of lies, masks, and aliases? Is a ninja who formally abandons his country good, or is he bad?

Kyu reached the bottom of the hill and waved casually to Saikoro, "Wanna head out now? There's really nothing else here for us, I think."

Drake heard the dark skinned guy say his name was Notwen Uchiha, and that he was also a Chuunin. Notwen asked who he was, so Drake said to him "My name is Drake.", then turned to listen to Takera, as he explained he did become a Chuunin, as well as gaining a nice prize, shifting himself to drop a bag on the ground, keeping a hand wrapped within the strap of the bag. "So, what's up with you?", Takera said to Drake, "I heard your match was amazing, but you had ended up losing. I thought you'd have had the win against that other guy. He was substantially weaker than you from the looks of it. Did you have enough time to recover after I healed you of the poison?". "I did have enough time to recover, thanks." Drake replied to Takera, "And yes, I thought I had the upper hand during the match. But, near the end, I was nearly out of chakra. Since I had no jutsu that could help me out, plus I had already figured that there was no way I could concentrate on making more, since I would be exposed to an attack, I guessed that the best way to do this was to end the match, giving the win to my opponent". Even as Drake explained how the match went, he remembered in great detail how it all happened. If it wasn't for the fact that he had failed to hold his opponent in a genjutsu, perhaps the match would have been his.

Takera listened to Drake's statement. He'd had enough time to recover yet he didn't have enough chakra? Takera thought to himself. Takera attempted to call back his sharingan that originally subsided within him before the exam when he began to change. To his surprise his eyes opened a tad wider and his sharingan took form. Takera focused at Drake's center while casually keeping his eyes directed generally at Drake and saw the flare of his chakra. He no longer had the frail essence he'd noticed back at the tent. "Interesting.." Takera said before he turned to Notwen. "I'm gonna head out with Drake from here. I have stuff I need to talk to him about. I'll keep in touch." Takera said as he notioned his hand towards Drake to follow him. He rose his arm and bag up and set the back back on his shoulder before turning and beginning to walk again assuming Drake got the hint to follow.

In a moment, Drake could feel as if Takera was gazing with his chakra at him, but when he turned to look at him, Takera seemed none too different than before. 'Was he just using the sharingan on me?'. Deciding not to say anything, Drake then heard Takera say to Notwen that him and Drake were gonna head out, as they needed to talk about things. Takera motioned for Drake to follow, then picked up his bag and put it back on his shoulder, as he started to walk. Drake fell into step with Takera, keeping just a few feet of distance between each other. What is he planning? Drake thought to himself. Drake kept his pace with Takera, waiting as to why he wanted to talk to him.

Takera followed the path for some time as they walked remaining silent for most of the travel. It's possible he might reach a similar level. His potential is pouring out of him. But how am I supposed to test it? Takera thought to himself as he walked. Drake kept in close proximity following him the whole way. Takera simply listened to each corresponding footstep behind him. After a few moments Takera stopped dead in his tracks and his head tilted to the right as if to look back at Drake, but his head didn't turn entirely. "Can I ask what it is that drives you to be a ninja?" Takera questioned Drake partially serious.

Drake stopped as Takera sort of turned his head at him, just enough for Takera to see Drake out of the corner of his eye. Then Takera asked him Can I ask what it is that drives you to be a ninja?". Drake couldn't tell if Takera was being serious or not, though he did start to think about the question. What was it that made him be a ninja? What drove him to take this path? Both these questions popped into Drakes mind, and he didn't have an answer for either of them, including Takeras question. Look at Takera, Drake said to him "I don't know. I never really thought about it. Maybe originally it was a means to an end, but now I have no idea.". This was Drakes honest answer to the question. Now he waited for Takeras response to this.

Takera listened for Drake's response and for a moment it seemed as if Drake was silently thinking. Before long Drake finally spoke and told Takera that he wasn't actually sure what made him choose the life of a ninja. Takera's head turned back into place as he rubbed his chin while thinking about the situation. "Strong, potential, and yet no drive, huh? If he's really going to follow this path, it'll do him no good at all to have no drive. What I can do for him is atleast prepare him for the hardship ahead. And in turn he'll pay me back by helping complete my style." Takera thought to himself as he pulled his back in front of himself and pulled something free. He immediately tossed the bag to his left and swung around at Drake bringing the Kuri Gami's scythe-like end in a swiping direction with his right hand that would intersect with Drake's neck if he didn't do something to avoid or stop it. He held the ball and chain in his left hand semi-loosely and kept a composed form at he assaulted Drake suddenly.

Drake was waiting for Takera response, when out of no where Takera threw a Kuri Gami scythe right at him. It was heading straight for Drakes neck when Drake dodged it by throwing himself backwards, nearly getting decapitated. Drake didn't know if Takera was going to try and kill him, or this was some sort of test. In any rate, Drake wasn't gonna let this happen unchallenged. Quickly channeling his lightning chakra into his right hand, Drake mustered forth a spear made of pure lightning, holding it on the shaft in his palm, and held it toward Takera. While Drake held his form, holding a defense posture, he could feel chakra being poured into his Eye. Taking no chances on this one, Drake flung the spear at Takera, it moving at high speeds as if a thunderstorm sent it. Drake wasn't aiming to kill Takera, though. He was aiming just to either knock him out, and find out why he attacked him, or to just injure him to stop Takera from attacking.

Takera watched carefully as Drake leapt back from the Kuri Gami. It was a solid half an inch from connecting which meant Drake had barely avoided it. Drake started to regain his posture and form as well as begin to manipulate his chakra in a physical manifestation. It stretched from the base of his palm into something like that of a spear made of lightning element. Immediately as Drake shifted his stance and threw it at Takera, Takera had already been one step ahead. He swung the Kuri Gami's scythe edge into the ground in front of him and tossed the ball end into the air. The Kuri Gami acted as a lightning rod and caught the lightning spear forcing it to discharge under the ground. Takera caught the falling chain after he was sure it was dispelled and pulled the Kuri Gami free. Takera caught the now free scythe edge by it's handle and let the ball and chain up into the air giving a flick of the wrist and twirling it in the air like a giant fan blade. Immediately Takera ran forward moving the giant fan-like twirling ball and chain from side to side while maintaining it. As soon as he got close enough he protended to lash out with it following a sequence similar to an attack, but Takera leapt back and with one final twist of the chain, the ball broke free of the whipping in the air and slung out around Drake's feet. With a strong tug Takera pulled Drake's feet together and out underneath him before tossing the Kuri Gami's scythe edge back into the ground to act as a conductor and strip him of his lightning based techniques he needed to manifest to use.

After Drake had flung the spear at Takera, he could already see how things were going to play out, as he watched Takera already going into motion. Takera used his weapon like a conductor, throwing it forward and launching the chain end into the air to catch the lightning and dispel it. Then, catching the chain, he launched forward, swinging the scythe like a fan, and motioning it forward. Just as Drake was trying to back up, Takera switched tactics and used the chain instead, wrapping it around Drakes feet and making him fall on his back. Then Takera planted the scythe in the ground, seemingly stopping him from using anymore lightning. Drake thought quickly on how to escape. Direct manipulation of his lightning was going to hurt, but on the other hand, he didn't really know how to escape without using one of his actual techniques. then, remembering how his match went almost like this, Drake began to cycle his chakra in palm again. already he could feel a numbing pain from the metal reacting to the lightning, but Drake did his best to ignore it. Putting his hands together, Drake began to force his chakra into a sphere in his hands. Then, he used his will to force the sphere even smaller. Trying as hard as he could, he kept putting pressure into the chakra till it was fit to burst. Then, Drake released it, creating a large, expanding bubble swirling with lightning chakra. It hurt like hell when it passed over himself, as the chain was reacting badly to lightning, but Drake knew this would work. The bubble was expanding rapidly, and Drake was sure Takera would have to dodge it by leaping back, giving time for Drake to free himself. Already he was blocking most of the pain by sitting up and unwrapping the chain.

Takera watched as Drake manifested Lightning despite his predicament. Lightning was drawing off of his own manifestation and to the chain. Takera noticed the reaction Drake's body gave off as his own element began to hurt him. Takera watched the ball in his hand manifest until finally the ball burst expanding all around. Takera took a few steps back and began forming handseals with one hand. A mirror formed facing down on the now sitting up Drake from high in the sky and mirrors formed alongside the path angled in odd ways as if to face each other in a zig-zag. Takera immediately vanished away into the mirrors and found himself standing atop the mirror out of sight of Drake who had finally begun untying the Kuri Gami from around his feet. Takera crouched down into a squat and began to think about his further actions while looking down at the first mirror in the set below them. Takera tilted to look over the edge at Drake while taking his heavy vest off. He lobbed the vest over the edge directly above Drake so that if it hit from the pick up of falling, it'd do real damage. Takera then breathed in heavily after lobbing the vest. "WATCH OUT BELOW!" Takera shouted from atop the mirror as the vest sunk through the sky alarmingly fast. Immediately before Drake could look up Takera jetted through the mirror and hopped into the first chained mirror below in an instant and positioning himself for Drake's next movement.

After Drake released himself of the chains, only to hear a voice come from above him. The next thing he knew, a large vest nearly collided with him. Taking a moment to dodge it, the vest landed on the ground. After he moved, Drake could feel pain all out on his body. He tried to ignore it, though he was having difficulty doing so. When he looked for Takera, he found himself seeing a wall of mirrors along both sides of him. Checking back and forth, the mirrors were placed on his sides, and with the mass amount of them, Takera could ultimately attack his blind spots. Drake thought quickly before any attack could be made. In a second, he knew his strategy. Forming his hand seals quickly, he felt himself pull a "cloak" of lightning chakra around himself. But, it wasn't meant for protection. Using his manipulation ability, he directed the cloak outward, stretching like a net around himself. This way, since his chakra "net" was connected to him, he could feel any attack coming his way, giving him at least 2 to 4 seconds of dodging. With the cloak in effect, Drake then used his healing ability to heal himself of the pain that inflicted him. He felt the damaged nerve ending that were causing him pain heal. Feeling the pain disappear, Drake then pulled forth another spear into his hand, holding it in his palm once more. Drake already felt that Takera already had his attack planned, so Drake was cautious as he started to move forward.
