Ravenclaw, 2nd Year
Nam inhaled sharply as Dorian's hands closed around his. He tugged lightly back signaling he wished to be released. Looking the opposite direction he mumbled, "I like you very much..." He dashed off into another section of the library without explanation, a little desperate for a free breath of air. He grabbed several spare romance novels, but not before spotting professor Akahana with some suspicious material in a corner. Just the sight of her allowed him enough comfort to snicker on his way back.
"Here, these books won't be missed. Or at least, shouldn't be." He propped four dictionary-sized books against each other and placed one of the cheesy novels with a moving picture of a boy and girl riding a broomstick on the cover in the center, boxing it off from escape once it came alive. He prostrated over the table to reread the instructions for the spell. "The wand motion is a twirl mixed with a jab... you should end with your palm facing upwards." He pulled out his wand and absentmindedly gave it a couple tries.

Callysto began tapping her glasses with her index finger, something she did a lot -- a nervous habit perhaps, or a bored habit. She gazed at the Hufflepuff who was so engrossed in whatever she was reading had fallen silent for quite some time now.
//You read the Slytherin common room posts? Hehe sounds like you are the stalker, my friend! And yes, she is [impatiently] waiting to Dorian to arrive in the Slytherin common room, she wishes to speak with him...please And besides, she was here first, visiting her Hufflepuff who has mysteriously become very silent//

[though I haven't been lately because I have had company to entertain] It's too bad Chibi is busy so often. ) : )) //I try to read it all ~ but I go to work and miss just a day and there is /so much/ and I'm too lazy to read it all, I skip about to the people I'm interested in xD. Aye, it is a shame! I get so lonely without her /pout. But school is important, yo. Oh, I wish I had some company to entertain ~ but I am sadly destined to be alone this holiday :c//

Why are you going to be alone?? Yeah, there is a lot. I tend to skip most all of the established couple exchanges (because even I feel a little indecent when I do that) aaand... huh, I guess that's it. And if we carry this convo on any longer we should probably take it to PMs so we don't clog up the library with rubbish. o w o;; -going to bed now- ))

It took him a moment, but he shuddered when he processed what Dorian had said. Too much was changing too fast. He completely lost his focus and, with a huff, chose to stop before he landed some one in Saint Mungo's. He was becoming so extremely befuddled every time he tried to discern something about himself, he decided to look outwards to fill his need for rationale. He attempted to distance himself from his frighteningly powerful feelings to get a clearer view of the situation. After staring blankly at the page for quite awhile he achieved the ability to stare unabashed at Dorian; it seemed he wasn't giving it his usual 'umf'. His insides did a gleeful dance.
Emotionally removing himself allowed him to observe Dorian, but doing so plunged him straight back into an opinionated, heart-twisted fit. He almost longed for his complacency back, but caught himself and remembered that there was hope, he was going to change, starting now. As uncomfortable as it was, he told himself he wanted to learn to wear this new skin. So he let his face heat up and his pulse pump like a reggae beat, though he wouldn't forfeit so much of himself as to abandon a unique and 'intellectual' standpoint for nature's impulses. i.e., He did not ogle dreamily and bat his eye lashes, begging to be snogged---he ogled dreamily and asked awkward questions. "I wonder why you're in Slytherin. ...though I suppose it may mean nothing at all."

Nam faltered slightly under Dorian's intensity. The word 'pain' triggered his demented conception. "No. Don't do that." He backed up against the book case behind him. In his mind's eye, an imaginary axe swung at his neck. "...we'd die." This was urgent, it was a life changing moment. He pulled the veil from his face, revealing piercing, acid green orbs. He bore right back into Dorian's burning amber eyes, trying to match their determination, to express the pure horrors in store... he wanted his eyes to reflect what they'd seen... A bloody corpse hanging from a barn ceiling flashed subliminally through Dorian's mind for a split second.
(( Oh my gosh, you turned 21?! Congrats~! Don't be sorry for that, silly. <3 You should get some rest if you've been out partying. : ) ))

Emily slipped through the heavy doors without a word, her eyes red and irritated and any hint of her almost constant smile erased from her lips.
She gave only a slight glance in the direction of the growing group of students crowding the library before she grabbed a book off of the nearest shelf, not even bothering to check its title or subject, and made her way to the farthest corner of the room.
Emily ducked behind a shelf and sat down on the floor, clutching the book to her chest.
She gave a sigh and opened the book, but was only able to get five pages in before she broke down and buried her face in the dusty old tome, sobbing very quietly by herself.
