San's thoguhts rang through to Howaido loud and clear. He had a few ideas of what was going on.
"You right, i not chasing the IBD down yet. But think about Bast sensei! She is a sannin level ninja and reached that level by her own efforts. I think this IS our training, if not part of it. She is still under her guise of this bandit guy, and its our duty, especially yours, to stop her from causing any desruction or anything else. Sorry dude, i gotta fight this battle now. I think this is my test.....I would appreciate some help though...."

The chunnin began to run towords the crevice again, hoping to close a little distance and open up some options for his battle. The armada of kunai exploded in the ground shooting rocks and shrapenal all over the place. However, in the rocks, where a few perfectly formed orbs of rock that shot out of the ground. It was part of the traps San had set earlier, and they too exploded sending even more shrapenal to her location. The chunnin had used his swift hands to form some hand seals as a dragon of earth bursted out of the ground, launching house sized boulders at the bandit leader. In another set of hand seals, san could only smile as nothing happened.

Howaido smirked, under his mask, he knew his job, San never had to ask, he leaped from side to side of the crevice using chakra to keep his footing as he drew his katana and came up behind Bast. Hopefully he had been partially ignored while he kept his cover, he had no doubt he shouldnt use Juurai Toorima here, she was of wind chakra nature and so his smoke pellets would be useless. But for now he would come at her with a slash from behind drawing out his cleaver next for a follow up,"Ne Mr. Bandit, like the new look?"

Bast shot upward with the few remaining moments of the Propelling Winds, flying toward the clouds and beyond the reach of the attacks that had headed for her previous location by roughly fifty meters, leaving Howaido to deal with the shrapnel now headed his way. She formed a hand seal and pulled the air around her in to the form of a dragon, and then stabilized the form. Without pausing, the dragon launched several orbs of air for the boys which, upon contact with anything, would explode with the force of a powerful exploding tag.

San decided to take a page out of bast's book. He had now made his way to his dragon which lowered his head and launched him flying high in the air. Forming a few hand seals, San used Gunsei no jutsu on the schrapenal and the hug rock that was fired and he too made himself a pair of wings on his back. They were not as perfect as Bast sensei's, but they where doing the job. The dragon down below shot 2 more house sized stones for the Orbs. Once they collided, they force of energy canceled each other out leaving a lane open for attack. San's words would ring loud and clear inside Howaido's mind, stating he had a plan.
"Keep moving like that! Thats working for now. Your attacks and endurance can keep her busy while i try and set up a trap. Keep her moving them split away when i give the order ok?"

It was at times like these Howaido was thankful of his big sword. In a swift motion he sheathed his katana as his cleaver freed and used as a shield of the oncoming shrapnel. He then drew two smoke pellets and threw them down, this was his chance, as the smoke covered him he used Gisou no Waza [ Art of Camouflage ] to completely blend in and disappear even his chakra lay dormant for this time. Now able to move freely Bast would be focused on the smoke, but he wasnt done this required precision. He used Izumi Hanshoku Meimu [ Fountain Multiply Illusion ] in conjunction with the technique to lure her, he would play Bast with out the Sannin even knowing. This was the only way to set her up elaborate planning, so when Bast noticed the smoke she would be assaulted by the rising force of six Howaidos each coming at her one at a time creating after images to create further confusion in the card trick that Howaido was weaving.
Hey San, if this doesnt work, consider it my favor of buying you time, eh? Then with this advantage he slowly air stepped with his chakra to get to Bast, but he didnt run he only propelled himself and walked as to take advantage of his silent step. He would wait till the time was right and get behind her or use the illusions who knew.
[3 Posts remaining of complete invisibility and undetection. Also his bukijutsu gives him the attribute of silent step so as long as he doesnt run he cant be heard either. XP ]

Bast hovered far above the Crevice, and was flying farther away by the moment, but still noticed the smoke pellets immediately when they detonated. Howaido's Chakra signature flared and then faded, but remained stationary while it did so, and as such Bast figured he was probably using a very effective stealth technique. She flew higher and farther out and shook her head so her goggles would slide in to place under her armored disguise. Instantly, readings on San's distance popped up and the woman could see clearly the wings on his back. She stopped distancing herself when she was roughly a hectometer away from the Crevice, well beyond the range of any movement technique short of Shunshin or actual flight.
She slid a hand in to her pocket and pulled out a small ember. She ground it in her armored hand until it started to catch fire, and then held it up in front of her mouth. She activated Daitoppa and sent a thin jet of air for San; however, as the jet passed by the ember, it ignited and became a bright, blinding jet of flame that evaporated the rain near it. She remembered something about Howaido being afraid of fire, so she hoped that the flame would at least be a deterrent for him if it wasn't for San.

Howaido frowned a bit as she used the fire attack, she was playing him back it seemed, but she shouldve known he wasnt a little kid. Rather it was big fires he was scared of, consuming fires to best describe them, still he didnt want a direct attack luckily it wasnt a direct attack he was after. As the illusory copies made their way up it was lucky for him they could pass through anything since the fire and wind stream had struck three of them. As the first copy came up Howaido passed right by her behind it, the copy came from the front but Howaido was from behind her. As the copy attacked with what appeared to be a smoke bomb Howaido snuck in the real attack, as the illusory bomb dropped the real one went off at the same instant releasing a purple smoke screen all around Bast. He was gone before it activated and since it was in her blind spot there was no way she could detect the device till it spread around her it would only take a second for the effects to start. He knew she would blow it away but the small exposure was all he needed to line up his attack as the second and third illusion copies approached two.
[If you blow it away you only get one post worth of exposure these are the effects below. Obviously prolonged exposure would suck.]
• 1 Post :: Agitated eyes.
• 3 Posts :: Exhausted feeling.
• 5 Posts :: Unconscious.
• 7 Posts :: Death.
[3 Posts remaining of complete invisibility and undetection. Just so you know he would be scared more of a massive fire like say a wall of fire or a fire domb attack etc for future reference, is it a fire jet? ]

San easily avoided the jet of fired, by turning to his right with a hard banking turn. She was retreating? Or using a long range attacks? Either way, San was getting fed up with it. In a smooth motion, San landed on the top of the crevice, speaking out to Howaido through the bonds golem.
"Ive got nothing dude, nothing that can match that distance. She is to far away right now and to high for any of my techniques to work. Technically speaking, we did clear our objective and forced the "attacker" away from the village. I think we may take this as our battle and let it slide for now. Besides, i have been recalled bu the Kazekage. Sorry."
San's face was a puzzled one. Should he feel sad, or happy. He didn't defeat the foe, but he surely didnt lose either. He hated these technicalities: like kissing a brother Forming a single hand seal, San used shunshin no jutsu and in a puff of white smoke was gone.

Howaido was confused but kept his distance, should he follow or should he wait for his own orders. Mamorou did say to get Bast to help, and he needed her help to learn this technique, he was creating his own jutsu now and she had knowledge he could use. Howaido was torn, but he knew Mamorou probably had new orders for him too. Damn he really wanted that training, but maybe she would come through,"Bast sensei, the drills been over a while now! Im going to get my orders from Mamorou-sama, I was hoping you could help me with a little something later. When youre done playing come find me, ne?" With that he retreated the copies going with him, to Kazekage-sama he went.

Chezmonkey "Lilith" appeared on the top of the crevice, and right off the bat had to wave her arms to balance herself as she dangled precariously over a tripwire. Godd***it... who booby trapped our crevice?!?! She thought, gaining her balance. She looked up and saw the Bandit Leader laughing evilly, then looked down and saw the crevice filled to the brim in snow. Looking back up, she sighed and created several handsigns, then launched a Yurika no jutsu at the leader. (Fire lily technique... aka Giaganto Fireball. Glad there's lots of snow lying about.) she then darted to the other side to avoid any counter attack. 330
"Lilith, ma'am, you are to report to the Kazekage's office for mission breifing"
The white bird then poofed away in a plume of white smoke

Bast sighed and descended toward the Gates. She landed, retrieved her senbon, and promptly destroyed the insect golem. With her body freed from its heavy disguise, the woman was able to retrieve her flask and reclaim Poryo from the ice before flickering out of the area for a nap.

Bast showed up at the Gates with a yawn, having been to the residential district already. She had collided the two existing weather systems while she was observing the one contrived above the other section of Village, and was now dragging both sets of clouds out in to the desert, leaving behind gray skies with a low chance of precipitation.

In a plume of white smoke, San appeared next to Bast sensei with his Mask of the bear over his face with a black hood over his head. His tan and black sage coat was a sharp addition to the now jonin attire making him look like the real Suna Ninja he was. With his new promotion, especially doing the mission with Bast sensei, the Satetsu was going to try his hardest to be a real player in this mission, making success the only option. His voice was lower then usual, more mature sounding, as he spoke to Bast sensei.
"Im here. We are just waiting for the others. I am thankful to be on a mission with you. Maybe now i will get to see how an idol of mine really works...."
