Vera sat back, thinking. She threw her hands up slightly and snorted as she shook her head. "I guess it's kinda pointless for me to trace bloodlines then, even for my own curiosity... And jeez, I bet that smarts; needing to marry someone only because you lost at chance." Sighing, Vera put her elbow on the arm of the chair, and rubbed at her nose gently. Frowning, she thought of a few things she could say, and left them be. "So much for thinking I was finally being accepted as a dragon, however partially. Menh..." she muttered to herself, looking outside in thought. "Do I really want to know what I'm the consolation prize for?" she asked calmly, her tone betraying none of the hurt that she was, after all, just a pawn. She sighed, resting her head on her crossed wrists. "So much for finding out who my family is. I don't know why I'm as surprised as I am...if you tend to think in centuries aside from decades, I suppose it makes sense to be cynical and manipulative..." Closing her stinging eyes, Vera shook her head as she rubbed at them. "Enh, almost better I didn't get my memories back..." She looked and sounded tired as she glanced back at Ozora. "It's a nice name. Much better than Vera..." she commented with a small smile, the expression not reaching her large blue-ringed silver eyes. "Watch, I will turn around and this will all be a joke at my expense...." she mumbled, sounding depressed though she tried to hide it.

Ozora frowned. He didn't want her to feel that way. "Your father was pretty high on the details of who I would marry. You must have been the right one, one that he could trust to put me in my place. So you must be a strong and smart woman. A child that he finds worthy of marrying a guardian." The man pointed out as he rounded the table so he was on the same side as Vera. He came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her and the chair she was on. His head went to her shoulder as he leaned down. Their faces were close together. "I like your name. It's elegant and short. I promised to love a girl by this name. I want to make it official." He told her and dropped a black box on her lap. "I thought jade was appropriate."

Vera tightened in surprise when he hugged her and the chair, and she didn't have to move her head very much to look at him. Noses bumping, she blushed. "But, even if you promised to love me, I don't like the idea of forcing you to do anything... It's like saying promising to change who or what you are, even if you initially don't wish to..." the half-elf started to say, stopping when the box fell into her lap. Picking it up with trembling fingers, she willed them to stop shaking and for her heart to stop pounding. Sure he could hear its irregular tha-dumps, she opened the box and couldn't help a sharp intake of breath. "Don't EVER tell me how much this way..." Vera joked with a weak smile and wavering voice. Fingers clenching the black velvet, she took the ring out and looked at it. "Wow... Um, wow..." was all she managed to say. Moving her eyes over with a heavy blush, Vera hung her head a little as she put it on her finger. "I don't think I'm strong and all that smart, though I'm working on the last part..." she murmured demurely, calm even though she still looked a touch downhearted. The treasure did help her cheer up, and she couldn't help but smile a little as she looked at it. "...thank you," Vera remembered to say a little later, softly as she tilted her head to touch his cheek gently, the dragon rub-version of a small kiss for between friends and family, or people you considered close.

Ozora knew what the rubbing meant. He was used to being around dragons. "You're not forcing me to do anything. Azure is only forcing us into a marriage. That means love is another thing that I can still give freely." He told her. He hadn't let her go just yet. He was happy that she seemed more relaxed about their future now. "You don't have to call me Ozora any more. Call me Baihu. It is my real name right? Husband and wife shouldn't be so formal." He added. He moved so his arms were not wrapped around her anymore and he was to the side. He leaned in and gave her a kiss. "When ever you want to get married you better plan for. Don't worry. I'll be able to pay for our special day." He told her while he rested his head against her forehead.

Relaxing even more as she wasn't too restricted by the situation any more, Vera just sighed and nodded, seeming relieved. "I....thank you." Smiling now, she tilted her head as he kissed her to hit her lips, giving him a momentary mischievous grin. "I'm learning...teach," she joked, giving him a smile. Playing with the ring, she leaned down to place her head against his back, next to her when her pouch dug into her hip. "Oh, speaking of formalities... I still don't know if this has anything on it; it feels kinda like it does, but I'm still not sure..." Vera brought out the golden necklace with a few simple gem-looking beads and the middle pendent with the Chinese figure. She held a finger to the main 'pendent' with his name, a small frown of thought on her face. "I just want to make sure it doesn't do something once it's over my neck, is all..." the half-elf explained sheepishly, still blushing. Especially as I don't really have anything to match, or even come close to complementing it... Or even formal wear, really she thought.

Ozora smiled glad that she seemed to be okay for sure about this marriage. He was seeing it as yes it was a formal thing then most, but it didn't have to be bad. Then she asked about the necklace. "It's a normal gold necklace. But it's been against my skin for so long that it may have some magic to it." He answered her. "Do you want to go some where else where we can talk some more in private?"

Shooting him a quick glance with some suspicion, Vera raised an eyebrow and nodded. "Probably a good idea..." she conceded. Taking the necklace, she righted it and put it over her neck, slipping the gold chain down her shirt. Looking down at the slight buzzing she felt against her skin, she looked at Ozora...Baihu...with a small shrug. "Can't be TOO terribly bad if it's only subliminal pick-up. What's the worse that can happen, I turn fuzzy?" she teased, standing up to dust off her knees and start putting the books back. "So where were you thinking of heading? Not your room I hope..." she stated calmly, looking back at him with a slight teasing expression though her eyes were serious. "I would have to require an escort chaperone or something for that one..."

"I don't have a room. I have an apartment and you wont turn into a tiger, you're forever a dragon." He told her and offered and hand to her. He didn't mind holding it. "I don't have any plans to sleep with you right now." He told her before dragging her towards his apartment. Here

Sighing, Vera followed; it was that or possibly dislocate an arm. "I should still insist, if only to hold proper form..." she muttered, giggling as the dragon stuck his head out. What am I, mista kaka? he protested. "Well, Gyer's always with me, so I guess I really can't protest I'm unchaperoned..." Vera commented with a laugh, following calmly since that had been her only protest.

Dawn lightening Walked into the library and smiled to herself. 'its beautiful.' she thought to herself. she walked over to a shelf and walked along the row, looking for a book that would catch her eye.

Ivan walked into the library. He was looking for a book and he had to pass Dawn to get to what he needed. The young man seemed to be on a mission with it. It wasn't long till he stopped in front of the magic section and started looking for a book.

Dawn seemed to burried in the book she had spotted to notice the boy walk bye. she reached up to try to reach the book on the top shelf but could not reach it.

Ivan noticed a girl having issues grabbing a book and walked over before grabbing the book. He then handed it to her as he continued to read the one he had in his hands.

Dawn turned to the boy to thank him when her words were stopped in her tracks. she slowly tapped his shoulder lightly, remembering the boy's name. "Ivan?"

Ivan turned her head down and looked at the girl. He knew her face. Her name was on the tip of her tongue. She had been a guest to the host club. "Oh. Hey. Sorry I forgot your name." He told her, but it showed her that he remembered her.
