I don't know, Wolt was pretty good for my in my runthrough of FE6 and we all know that the RNG ruined everyone who played FE6

Not meaning to be offensive, but Sue remains one of the most disappointing of the nomads. I mean...I really want to use her, you know? She's a good character and all storywise...but the thing is, no matter how hard I try, she just gets in the way. I get her to Nomad Trooper and she just cannot measure up to Shin at all. I struggle to level her up, and in the end it's just a waste because she does about 2-8 dmg even with Shin's supports.
Does anyone else get like this with Sue?

Just use Dorothy. She has better growths in general. Better than Wolt's, certainly.

I actually got her to be pretty good, Sure through Arena abuse Btw I got Rutgur to Swordmaster at level twenty with that. Anyways. She's better then Wolt for my game.

Shin's growth are almost identical to Rath's. I find them both capable, as Sue will be doubling more... and sooner.

While Sue certainly doubles sooner and more frequently, it's generally argued that Shin's growths are better distributed than Sue's. And it's not as though he has trouble doubling most things anyway.

Yaaay, Dorothy. ♥ Proof that you don't have to be beautiful to smash an arrow through someone's face.
I figure all I have to say about Shin and Sue relates to personal experience, so I'll keep my mouth shut. :3

I've had less than stellar results with Rath as well. Certainly better than Sue, but...
Well, Shin is my best choice for nomad. Don't think I haven't tried with Rath or Sue... I really like their characters and think the RNG Goddess Devil is screwing me over whenever I play with them.

..Not having good results with Rath is... rare. At least, in my experience.
But back to the Sue and Shin thing, I use them both. Hell, I even use Dayan despite FE6 prepromotes being horrible units. In the end, they're all good enough to handle basic enemy units.

I beg a differ about Sue being a useless unit ._. I mean, I used her twice and she is a beast with Shin as support. I mean...seriously...I put those two out in a middle of no where, with a bunch of wyverns coming at them, and they did nothing but dodge and crit. I didn't even have to RNG abuse Sue >>;;;

Well, with Rath, i've heard he's an average character. However, he just ends up better than Sue and worse than Shin for me...
Dayan actually is better than a trained Nomad Trooper Sue for me (that's how bad it is). Of course, I only went through the Sacae route once on Hard while using Sue so I can't say he'll be better every time if I keep training up Sue the same way.
But, yeah, they're good enough for regular units.
On a side note, Percival isn't bad for a prepromote.

Rath and Shin ARE remarkably similar in terms of growths/stats in general. So similar you'd have to look at base levels/promotion gains to determine who would excel in a certain stat at a certain level.

....If by average you mean maxing strength, skill and speed, I guess.
All else I can say is.. your RNG must be really weird.

xDemonhornzx On a side note, Percival isn't bad for a prepromote. ...he's not just not bad, he's GOOD. And so is Echidna. And Karel. And Niime has an excellent staff level and utility with them. And Klein and Igrene are both usable, too. FE6 prepomotes: not all automically trash.
