Deacon wasn't quite sure what to expect upon stepping into the maze, but he was pretty confident that it wasn't just going to be just a stroll. If things were that easy, he'd have to be disappointed. Nothing in Halloween was ever without some sort of twisted catch...

Rolled 42
Roll 1- If you roll a 11-100, you pass and can go on to round two. (RP meeting the below obstacle)

Upon entering the maze you meet a tiny little imp, seemingly injured and whining at you for help. The imp is green in color and maybe only 2 feet tall. It is thin and looks as if they have a splinter in their foot. (If you roll a 11-100 you can do whatever you like, help or not, and you still pass. If you roll a 1-10... well helping it or not it will turn on you and chase you out of the maze.)

It had only been a short distance in that the tabby noticed the imp. He furrowed his brow a bit at the creature as it whimpered, before realizing why. He squatted down slowly as not to frighten the little thing, motioning it to hold its foot up so he could have a proper look at what was ailing it.

It was a good thing nobody else was around, or they might have actually been shocked to see how gentle Deacon could be when he wanted to. Very carefully he pinched the end of the splinted between two claw-like fingernails and pulled it free, much to the imp's relief.

As the creature scurried off, Deacon continued on his way as well.

Roll 2- If you roll a 26-100, you pass and can go on to round three. (RP meeting the below obstacle)

Awwh you made it past the little imp with no troubles! You should feel high on life (even if your hearing weird noises all around you that sound like things that want to eat you.) Walking further along something blocks your pathway. It is large and...reminds you oddly of some huge stoney bolder. Only this one moves. It tells you that in order to get past you need to tell it a story or a riddle.. and if it approves it will let you pass. ( if you roll a 26-100 it will like your story and let you pass. If you roll a 1-25 though... well it will not like your story and your stuck in the first part of the maze, only to be chased out by something else. )

He was pretty pleased that nothing had gone wrong yet, although his ears were trained on all of the strange sounds around him. Some were close, but thankfully nothing had tried to attack him yet. Though, Deacon had to come to an abrupt halt in order to keep from running into the giant bolder in his path... That talked. Okay, so it wasn't just an ordinary rock.

Pondering over riddles a moment, Deacon offered one to the creature.

"Three lives have I.
Gentle enough to soothe the skin,
Light enough to caress the sky,
Hard enough to crack rocks.
"

After a long moment of silence, the boulder-thing gave the correct answer of water. Despite having the answer, apparently it liked his riddle and moved aside for Deacon to continue.

Rolled 58
Roll 3- If you roll a 51-100, you pass and can go on to round four. (RP meeting the below obstacle)

You hear a deep rumbling growl of something near you. It sounds as if the noise is in the pathway next to you... but after pausing and holding your breath, you can somehow tell the creature has sensed you and is looking for a way to get over to you. A flash of white and red through the foliage of the maze tells you its something large... and mean. ( If you roll a 51-100, you pass the creature after hauling some tush away. If you roll a 1-50... The creature gets around the maze somehow and chases you out. )

Not far past the boulder, Deacon heard a low growl that was so close it made the fur of his tail prickle. He glanced worriedly toward the source of the sound and caught glimpse of the flash of white fur. "s**t." He hissed, figuring it to be one of Breck's hounds. He didn't want to be on the receiving end of those teeth, so he tore off into the closest pathway that took him out of the path he was in and further from the beast.

Rolled 88
Roll 4- If you roll a 76-100, you WIN. (RP meeting the below obstacle, roll a 6 sided die on this post so i can see which scareon you win)

FINALLY! You made it to the end and you can see the little purple ball things sitting in a large metal bucket at the heart of the maze. A animal skin with a horse skull is sitting next to it... strange, but you take it as decor. As you approach though... you hear a whistling sound and suddenly feel like your being watched. Closer you go... as you try and reach out for one of the prizes, the horse head and skin somehow disappear... and behind you is a LARGE and angry ghost horse staring at you with large glowing green eyes. Rearing backwards it charges as you. ( If you rolled a 76-100, then you manage to grab one of the pokeballs before being chased out of the maze by the ghost horse... if you roll a 1-75, the ghost horse just chases you out empty handed.)

He hadn't stopped running until he came upon what turned out to be the center of the maze. Deacon stared at the bucket of what seemed to be Scareon balls, although in a color he was unfamiliar of. Better believe he was going to take one, too. Surely anything in this place would be bad a**!

Casting a cautious glance toward the... Thing that sat nearby, Deacon approached the bucket and reached out to take one of the balls. It was about that time that the pile of skin and skull just ******** disappeared, soon followed by a rather alarming sound of a horse's snort right behind his head. Closing his fingers around one of the balls as he wheeled around, Deacon's eyes flew open and he gave a startled cry.

Prize in hand, he hauled tail out of there, if only keeping a couple of steps between he and the ghost horse for most of his frantic journey back out.

Malodore stared down at the imp, who was thrashing around with extraordinary drama. "Oh, waily!" it shrieked, foaming at the mouth a little for good measure. "The pain! The pain!"

It convulsed, then fell silent, little body unmoving. At least, until it cracked an eye open to glare at the plague doctor. "Well?"

Malodore bet down and flicked away the splinter with an expert tweezing. "There."

"You're no fun," the imp complained, sticking out its tongue. "See you next time!"

"Story," the boulder demanded, giving Malodore a stony (... naturally) glare.

"Ah, yes." The plague doctor steepled its fingers. "Where were we? Ah, yes. Sandy Claws prepared toys for all the good girls and boys, but there was one tiny elf who was so pathetic, so large eyed and tearful, an-"

"PAAAAAASS," the boulder wailed, shuddering at the mental image.

Malodore entered the next section with trepidation - it pretty much had the imp and boulder down pat, but this segment was still a largely unknown quantity. It could still hear breathing, but...

... further away. Not right by the path. Not this time. The plague doctor tiptoed carefully by without coming to the monster's notice.

The center of the maze... Malodore stepped in with utmost care, remembering the horrible horse-creature that had chased it out last time. But this time the glade seemed empty. There was a small bucket in the center with purple orbs nestled within...

As Malodore reached out for the orbs, curious, it heard a sudden sound behind it. Felt the foul breath...

The plague doctor's fingers clamped tightly around one of the orbs, and it ran. Most undignified, really, but it had its prize - and it was going to keep it!

For some reason, Lucien found himself actually looking forward to coming to class the maze. There was a little bounce in his float and a little grin on his face. He had a little tune when he entered the class and scurried into he maze. The whining of the imp could not be heard over Lucien's humming of a tune and he did not notice it as he passed by.

Still in a good mood and humming along, Lucien found himself laughing at the stone boulder that talked! Oh my! Not only did it talk, but it had a sense of humour... or seemed to! It wanted Lucien to tell it a riddle of some sort. How funny, Lucien with a riddle? Regardless, Lucien was determined to, and thought deeply on the matter.

Hm...

"Why did the stone boulder speak to the air spirit?"

Lucien couldn't help but laugh as the boulder tried to figure it out. Sadly, being just a stone boulder, it could not figure out why it had spoken to him in the first place and allowed Lucien to pass.

The humming was still going on, and Lucien did not hear the deep rumbling growl of something near him from the pathway. It wasn't until a flash of white and red went through the foliage that the air spirit stopped his journey and took a sharp breath. Not long after that, the large beast found its way to Lucien and chased him out of the maze.

Was this really the fifth try? It seemed like more than that? Then again, the black dog was really bad at keeping track of certain things... But here was again. Ready to brave the maze a fifth time, which he was certain he was likely to fail. This maze didn't seem to like him very well. Or any other student for that matter. Everyone who tried seemed to be having really bad luck with it... At least he wasn't the only one.

"Well, couldn't hurt to try again." He sighed and stepped in through the entrance once more.

Even though he expected it. He couldn't help the line that usually always came to mind at the sight of the imp. "You again!?" He snorted and approached a little closer. Observing that it had gotten itself yet another splinter. Just when was this thing going to learn to pluck it out itself? Probably never; was his guess.

Giving an exasperated sigh, he scooped it up once more. "For Jack's sake! Hold still!" He snapped repeating the process of removing the splinter like he did almost every time he visited the maze. Unfortunately for the black dog, the imp seemed to have remembered him leaving it wounded the last time he came here and smacked him over the head before taking off.

"You little s**t!" He growled as it disappeared through one of the hedge walls.
